[Drama Info]

Directed by Yin Tao, who has a a hit in almost every period sub-genre: sleuthing mystery (Under the Power), xianxia, (Love and Redemption, Ancient Love Poetry, Love of the Divine Tree), wuxia (The Blood of Youth, Blood River), palace/politics (Love and Destiny and Who Rules the World). He also brought some of his usual actors: Zhang Wei Na, Li Xin Ze, and Xuan Ji's dad.

Both leads are from Huanyu (Yu Zheng's comapny). They (or just Bai Lu, lol) are also carrying label mates Zhao Qing and Zhao Yi Qin. 

This drama actually feels like a lot of connections: there's Yin Tao's team, then Yu Zheng's team, and finally Huawei's princess, Yao An Na. 

Dai Lu Wa is here too. She was filming this around the time Moonlight Mystique aired, when there was noticeable online negativity claiming Dai Lu Wa outshone Bai Lu. Despite the noise, the two actresses have maintained a positive and friendly relationship (e.g. BL would take care of DLW when she joined Keep Running)

Last but not least, our CP. For a quarter of Wang Xing Yue's drama career, he has been orbiting Bai Lu. In Song of Youth (2021), he was a random guard. In One and Only (2021), he was her villain. In Story of Kunning Palace (2023), he was her 2ML. And finally in 2026, he is officially her ML. Wang Xing Yue has successfully battled his way through the harem to secure the throne next to Bai Lu. From guard to "king". A real success story :D
