Tigers Sniff the Rose is a reunion between Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui ever since they blossomed in Blossom in 2024, except did they even separate. Technically, sniffing the rose is their third drama collaboration, following Parallel World and Blossom, but their second time playing the leads together.

Another Blossom actor: Quan Yi Lun. He's the famous hot onion from that show, transitioning into a…hot eunuch?

Chinese title has no tigers or sniffing. 尚公主 (Shàng Gōngzhǔ) means Marrying the Princess. 尚 isn't the usual word for "marry;" it's used for a man marrying up a rank. For the drama, 尚 is also the ML's name: Yan Shang. So the title operates as a CP name as well: Shang & Princess.

Filming wrapped on February 1, 2026. (Interestingly, this author, Yi Ren Kui Kui, had another one her IPs wrapped on the same day: Shadows of Desire, starring Zhou Ke Yu and Zhao Qing.)
