[Ep1] Chu Xuan Ji was buried to death at infancy because she wasn’t crying. She had lacked viability. However, once they covered her coffin, she started crying. Xuan Ji is born without six senses. She can’t cry nor feel pain nor feel fear. It's not that she can't see or hear. It's more like her brain doesn't recognize what she sees or hears. For example, she can't see blue, and she can't hear beautiful music but she can see people and she can hear people talk. She’s lazy and prefers sleeping rather than improving her cultivation.

Shao Yang Tribe is holding a conference. The other four major tribes attend. Wu Tong represents one of those tribes. Wu Tong bullies Xuan Ji and drops her from the sky right into Yu Si Feng’s arms. He wears a mask and stutters as he speaks. His sect, Li Ze Gong, mandates their disciples to wear masks. She innocently copies him stuttering and begs him to help her return home. The way she cluelessly copies him is cute. She touches him all over without restraint, making him very uncomfortable. Without a choice, he flies her back home.

Xuan Ji’s father yells at Xuan Ji for ruining their family’s reputation with her lack of cultivation. Chu Ling Long protects Xuan Ji (they’re twin sisters who aren’t born on the same day, Xuan Ji was lazy even as a fetus so she came out a few months later). Poor mum. Ling Long starts crying to gain dad’s pity. Ling Long tells her that a woman’s tears are the greatest weapon against all men.

Today is Xuan Ji’s birthday. She learns that Yu Si Feng has the same birthday as her. She drops by his room to give him a dessert but he rejects it. The next day they bump into each other again. Or more like she falls from the tree and spills his tea and bullies his pet. She thought his pet was a vicious snake and that’s what made her knock over his special tea. She accidentally scares away his snake again. When they try to find it, a flower hurricane envelopes them. Initially, he was holding her but he’s shy at their proximity and drops her to the ground. They have entered a restricted territory of her sect. He begs her to let him in to save his pet. She gives in and opens the door for him to enter this dangerous territory. He warns her to not follow him but when she hears him having difficulty, she jumps in to help him (with her meager powers). He was fighting a dragon. She drags him away but the dragon aims for her. He protects her and suffers more injuries. He faints over. She takes off his mask because his face is bleeding from underneath. Amidst the danger they’re in, she takes her time to gaze at his beautiful face. She even gulps as she salivates. Lol. The dragon continues to attack them though. Xuan Ji injures her hand and her blood seems to have magical powers.

[Ep2] Xuan Ji’s blood quells the dragon but the dragon demon continues to chase them outside the cave. Shao Yang’s master seals the dragon. Chu Lei (Xuan Ji's father) punishes Xuan Ji harshly by locking her up in a dungeon for the crazy and the evil. Yu Si Feng is also brutally whipped by his master because he lost his mask. His punishment is painfully over but hers is ongoing until she can cry to prove that she is a human being.

Xuan Ji has found her taste buds while being locked up in the dungeon. She is also temporarily released to attend a mission that she was randomly selected for. Yu Si Feng asks her if she can allow him to enter the restricted area once more to retrieve his mask. She notices he's not stuttering anymore. It's because he's smart; he mastered the language. Xuan Ji refuses his request to enter the cave again. She doesn’t want to be punished. He promises to help her retrieve the potion that can make her cry in return. She makes him thumb stamp on his promise. She even licks her thumb before stamping it. Ew. He hates it but likes it.

[Ep3] Xuan Ji kills an eagle monster to save Zhong Min Yan (6th Shi Xiong), Ling Long and Yu Si Feng. She levitates and glows blue. Each time she grows powerful, she has been asking herself this question: Who am I? I get the drama is showing her prowess but the powerful music is such a mismatch. The four of them are working together to find the concoct to make Xuan Ji cry. Before that, they’re saving an innocent mer-man who’s misunderstood as an evil demon.

Romantic&cute moments
  • Xuan Ji follows Yu Si Feng down the steps. She’s talking to him continuously and he’s not replying at all. She steps onto his clothes and he curtly tells her “Foot”. She quickly apologizes like she did nothing wrong.
  • Xuan Ji accidentally teleports into Si Feng’s bath. He’s naked. She chats with him and he questions her whether chatting here is appropriate. She agrees it isn’t. She wants to leave but she has to find her amulet first. She’s searching all over the bath to look for it, careful to not dip her head under the water. Feeling wary as she closes in on him, he sends her flying out of his tub but he also gives her a towel to dry herself with.
  • Si Feng gives Xuan Ji medicine for her injuries. Xuan Ji helps him apply the ointment seeing that he gave her everything when he has wounds himself. There’s a wisp of love in the air as he stares at her caring for him.
  • Si Feng takes her to try all sorts of delicacies. He uses food to teach her about feelings: bitter is sadness, sweetness is happiness, etc. Obviously, he’s more eloquent in explaining this than I am. He gives her a sweet cold drink. He smiles at her eating. She starts complimenting his smile and compares it to the drink she just had; on the exterior he's cold but the smile is sweet. She tells him he needs to smile more. He loves the compliment until she pokes his cheek. He teases her back and tempts her with sauce on his finger. He motions his fingers around her telling her that this is a taste you want but can’t have. He explains that this is "yearning". Xuan Ji clamps down on his finger and sucks the sauce off. Si Feng~, this is yearning; you want her but you can’t have her. At least not yet. Ha
[Ep4] Xuan Ji, Si Feng, Ling Long, and Zhong Min Yan save the merman. The merman gives Xuan Ji a pearl that will make her cry. The merman also tells her in order to recover the rest of her five senses, she’ll need to find these special mirror fragments (that’s how she got her taste back). After this mission, the four of them become friends.

Ling Long finds Xuan Ji’s notebook where she writes down the names of everyone she loves. Ling Long is disappointed she didn't write down anyone that's not her family. She teaches her that someone she loves is someone she can share secrets with. Immediately, she thinks of Zhong Min Yan. She quickly writes his name down. She even tells him she likes him. Zhong Min Yan thinks she’s joking. He gives her a pair of scented pouch. Xuan Ji asks Si Feng if it smells nice. Si Feng is already jealous. He tells her no. It’s also smelly according to him. Ha. Si Feng no longer wants her to risk helping him find his mask. But she promised. So she shows up to help him anyways. She has an amulet that will allow them to secretly enter the restricted area. But the amulet can only bring one person in. Easy, they can just become one. Thus, she hugs him without hesitation. He’s once again taken aback at their skinship. They only manage to retrieve half of his mask though. Thus, Si Feng is still punished. He is to kneel for hours. Xuan Ji quietly shows up to give him something sweet. The fruit isn’t needed, just her visiting him is sweet enough

[Ep5] The hero’s conference commences. Xuan Ji secretly trains at night. Although she's not part of the conference, she doesn't want to bring shame to her sect. Si Feng gives her a few tips and she improves at light speed. She even accidentally slices his pouch. It’s a memento from his mother. She gives him her handkerchief to wrap it up. As the days go by and the conference is ending, Xuan Ji asks him if they’ll see each other again. He says they will. They must (his words). They make another thumb stamp on this promise. There's also saliva on this one. He doesn't want it but she forces it on him, so he gives in. Cute.

Wu Tong injures Xuan Ji during a match. Si Feng, Zhong Min Yan, and Ling Long team up to trap him and punish him. Wu Tong gets his revenge by threatening to hurt Xuan Ji's face with Si Feng's late mother's hair pin. Si Feng had refused to kneel to him when Wu Tong used the hairpin as a bargain but when it comes to protecting Xuan Ji, he agrees. Wu Tong distracts himself with his own evil laugh and thus Si Feng doesn't end up kneeling and saves Xuan Ji. However, the hairpin is still with Wu Tong.

Xuan Ji and Ling Long dress up as male servants to enter the men's shower to steal back the hairpin. Ling Long backs out because she's shy at seeing naked men. It also wouldn't be good for a maiden's reputation. Xuan Ji doesn't understand and barges in. She steals the hairpin back and brings it to Si Feng. Yu Si Feng sees the hairpin, but his attention turns to her injuries. He quickly sits her down to apply ointment to her leg. He stutters as he asks her to lift her pants up. She stutters back asking why he's stuttering again. Heh. He doesn’t like her seeing other men naked but she counters that she’s seen him naked too. He clarifies that he’s different. He warns her to not approach other men or let them touch her. She nods to all his lecturing but then asks him if touching her leg right now counts. He blushes. Cluelessly, she asks him if he's shy. That's when his disciples walk in. He quickly hides her in his bed, afraid his peers will find out she's in his room (it's not good for her reputation).
[Ep6] Xuan Ji falls asleep on his bed and ends up hugging him. She manages to slip her arms around his waist. Our righteous boy can’t let this go on. Yu Si Feng carries her to her bed but she pulls him in for another hug. He's a goner. The next day is the last battle, Yu Si Feng beats Wu Tong but he's a sore loser. As a result of his ravage, Xuan Ji falls into the water. He also drives a sword into her. Si Feng jumps in the water to save her. He lost the match because he chose to save her.

For the next day Xuan Ji stays unconscious. Yu Si Feng is sad that she’s not awake before he leaves. The next time they'll see each other is in four years (if all goes well or not well). He also knows he'll be punished (for losing the mask and for losing the match). He wanted to speak to her at the very least because that way he can overcome any punishment for her.

Xuan Ji wakes the next day. She doesn’t know who saved her and thought it was Hao Chen. She’s sent to train in Xu Yang Feng with Hao Chen. She happily awaits her training so that she can improve herself (just like Yu Si Feng would have wanted her to). She doesn’t know that Yu Si Feng had left her a bell that can allow them to communicate.

Yu Si Feng is imprisoned for admitting he loves someone. In his sect, love is forbidden. He has a cellmate. It's Liu Yi Huan. He's Lan Liar from Under the Power! Him being in prison again makes me recall sad memories. There's also Xie Xiao in here too as the merman. I really wasn't used to seeing him so girly

[Ep7] Liu Yi Huan has heard about the mirror fragments. The mirror can allow one to see their past self. He tells Yu Si Feng he's seen one of the fragments. It's right here in the prison but it's dangerous to retrieve. Yu Si Feng doesn't care and goes to retrieve the fragment. That's when Xuan Ji replies to him through the bell but Yu Si Feng doesn't hear it. These two keep missing the chance to communicate.

Without having any chance to talk to her, Yu Si Feng is to go through the thirteen obstacles of hell because he violated his sect's policy on falling in love. Meanwhile Xuan Ji is training under Hao Chen to improve her cultivation. She has a conversation with Hao Chen that her friends have never betrayed her but I think she betrayed Si Feng for not communicating with him at all when he needed her the most. He's suffering so much for her

[Ep8] Yu Si Feng is at the last of the thirteenth stage and it's a battle against himself. He spent his energy but the bell gives him hope to see Xuan Ji. Even if it has never rung. He passed the last stage but the master gives him an impossible choice to make. He is either to stay in this hell or wear the mask that will make him forget his love. Not only that but he'll be emotionless as well. What's the point of going all thirteen levels for Xuan Ji if he's going to have to choose to not love her? He chooses to stay. He doesn't want to give up love. And thus he stayed for almost a year. He uses the last bit of his energy to communicate with Xuan Ji to wish her a happy birthday. She doesn't receive the message because her bell has been confiscated by Hao Chen.

Hao Chen has a mission to protect Xuan Ji's life at all cost. He doesn't want her to find the mirror fragments for reasons unknown. On her birthday, Xuan Ji wants to speak to Si Feng so she tries to find her confiscated bell. It is also Si Feng's birthday. When she speaks to it, Si Feng is barely conscious. But he hears her. It practically brings him back from the dead. He also overhears Xuan Ji talking to Hao Chen about how she likes Zhong Min Yan. Poor Si Feng misunderstands. His master urges him to wear the mask; Xuan Ji isn't worth it. But Si Feng is still hesitant. The master begins to threaten Si Feng with Liu Yi Huan's life. Thus, Si Feng makes the difficult and the only decision which is to wear the mask. Once the mask is on, its powers seep into his blood and his heart. Liu Yi Huan's life is saved.

Xuan Ji's four years of training is complete. She returns to Shao Yang and proves she's improved.

[Ep9] It's been four years since Xuan Ji and Si Feng have met. Ling Long blames her for not contacting her at all in the four years as well. Xuan Ji doesn't understand why she would be mad. She kept them in her heart and they promised to meet four years later anyways. What's wrong with that? She doesn't know.

Xuan Ji, Ling Long, and Zhong Min Yan leave their sect to cleanse the world of demons (it's a thing the five grand sects do every four years). Xuan Ji almost dies fighting a mass of black birds but she's saved by Si Feng who happens to be capturing the same demons. He's cold to her. Ling Long thinks he's mad because Xuan Ji never contacted him. He says he's thrown away the bell a long time ago. Xuan Ji is relieved that he "says" he's not mad.  She's as clueless as ever. He leaves her but that's when she collapses. She's poisoned. Si Feng, despite wearing the emotionless mask, cares for her. He cures her poison but he still leaves her. She grabs onto him, pestering him. She apologizes for not contacting him and explains that her bell was confiscated and she was too dumb to not write him a letter. He doesn't care anymore but he does give her the mirror fragment he found in prison. She can't accept it though. She promised Hao Chen she wouldn't search for the mirror fragments anymore because it harbours dark powers. Hearing that, Si Feng's fists tighten until his knuckles are white. He's mad that she's so fickle. He risked his life for her but she doesn't know it at all.
The black birds attack them again. Si Feng is injured. He tells the others to catch the demons. He will stay back to heal his cultivation first. Xuan Ji is dragged away by her sister to fight. Suddenly, Si Feng is under attack. Xuan Ji is back to protect him. She can't leave him alone. The mask is said to make him emotionless but he sure is showing a lot of feelings that he's trying to restrain. Unable to control his emotions, he starts sweating. Xuan Ji wipes his sweat and even exposes his shirt to wipe the sweat that's dripped inside. He stops her. Still cold as ever. She tries to remember all the tactics Zhong Min Yan used to make Ling Long happy. She gives him her favourite food. It doesn't work. She makes a funny face. It almost works or at least I think so. She then gives him flowers (he was actually cooperating with her when she asked him which hand the present would be in). He was slightly moved but when she mentions Zhong Min Yan's name, he’s hostile again. He wants to end their relationship but she doesn't want to. To her, everything he said was meaningful. She can't lose him. He's still emotionless. Sulking, she sits down in front of him unwilling to leave his sight.

[Ep10] Si Feng has recovered. Together with Xuan Ji they find the other disciples who are captured by the demon. Xuan Ji soon finds herself in danger. Si Feng protects her, making him vulnerable to the demon. He almost dies. Witnessing everything, Xuan Ji's eyes glow blue again. It seems like her blue powers always activate when Si Feng is in danger. She's even cooler this time as she confronts the demon. After dealing with the demon, her next target is Si Feng. Hm. Si Feng's mask cracks a little and he calls out to Xuan Ji. Xuan Ji snaps out of it and turns back to normal. She faints over and Si Feng catches her. He also offers a place for them to stay. He's worried about her. But his friend (Xiao Yin Hua) warns him that he can't have emotions.

Si Feng plans to check up on Xuan Ji but Ling Long stops him. Xuan Ji and Zhong Min Yan are having a private conversation. Xuan Ji confesses to Zhong Min Yan she's afraid she'll become a murderer and start killing everyone she cares about. Ling Long doesn't know what they're talking about and becomes jealous.

Zhong Min Yan helps Xuan Ji destroy the mirror fragment she still kept. The fragment bursts. The residual power sends him falling over Xuan Ji into an awkward position. Xiao Yin Hua who was eavesdropping freezes them in that awkward position on the bed leading to Ling Long's misunderstanding. Si Feng misunderstands too but he remains silent. Xuan Ji tries to stop Ling Long and Zhong Min Yan from fighting. From her clothes, a small sword drops. It's Zhong family's sacred sword. The girl who owns it will be the girl Zhong Min Yan marries. Ling Long completely misunderstands and wishes them happiness. She's jealous and heartbroken but she doesn't take it out on Xuan Ji. Si Feng's misunderstanding continues to deepen. He plans to leave tonight right away.

Xuan Ji chases after Si Feng. She trips over and hurts her hand. As she reaches out for Si Feng, the blood on her hand activates this magic string that ties their hands together. Xuan Ji isn't one bit disappointed at the current situation. She gets to be with Si Feng for a while longer. Xiao Yin Hua isn't happy at all. She tries to break the rope but it just won't snap. She settles on cutting off Xuan Ji's hand. Si Feng blocks that. Xuan Ji smiles because he still cares about her. He clarifies he just doesn't want to drag a detached hand around. Still, Xuan Ji is happy he protected her.

Without a choice, Si Feng and Xuan Ji have to spend a night together. Just when he's a bit nicer to her, she had to talk about Zhong Min Yan. She asks him how to make Ling Long like Zhong Min Yan when she (Xuan Ji) likes him too. Si Feng has heard enough. However, the rope shortens. Consequently, Xuan Ji, who was sleeping on the bed, is flung towards him. Now that she's close to him, she notices he's injured (from fighting the demon). She strips his shirt to look at his shoulders. Instinctively, she softly blows on it. Si Feng is probably dying on the inside. He clumsily walks away and drops his bell. Xuan Ji corners him about lying that he threw the bell away. He continues to lie that he didn't know it was still on him. She's cutely sarcastic as she asks, gee such a big thing in your clothes and you didn't know it was there? He ignores her. He changes the topic to Zhong Min Yan. Since she already promised her life to him, she shouldn't be inappropriate with other men. She has no idea what he's referring to. Their conversation is interrupted when her stomach grumbles.

Si Feng orders an entire table of food for her. These two connect over food again. Her right hand is tied to him so she's having difficulty getting her food. Si Feng takes her chopsticks and feeds her. He says it's easier that way. Sure, lol. Xuan Ji ends up clearing the entire table with Si Feng feeding her piece by piece.

Xuan Ji can't fall asleep though. She looks towards Si Feng who's sitting across from her. They're separated by a translucent bamboo curtain. She tells him his silhouette looks nice. She remembers his smile was also beautiful but she hasn't seen him smile today at all.

Xuan Ji: You're in front of me but I still miss you.

Si Feng ignores her. He's pretending to sleep, Quietly, Xuan Ji approaches him. She crouches down to look at him up close. She's about to touch his mask and he finally speaks. Once his mouth opens, he's saying more hurtful words to her. He tells her, "You're the last person I wanted to see." Oof. I can understand that though. Despite being mean to her, Xuan Ji stays next to him, still hopeful they can be friends. Si Feng is curious though why she chose Zhong Min Yan. Xuan Ji perks up. She likes him because she thinks he's nice. And! They have a secret. Si Feng doesn't want to hear it anymore.

[Ep11] Xuan Ji lies that she's too in pain to find a physician to untie their hands. She wants to stay tied with him. However, when she hears of Ling Long and Zhong Min Yan being in danger, she jolts up. With the other disciples, Xuan Ji and Si Feng try to find her sister.

They come across a weird forest. The rain takes control of their subconsciousness. Only Xuan Ji (without her six senses) is unaffected. She takes an unconscious Si Feng to shelter and picks one pill out of the two random medicine bottles, hoping he'd be better. The pill isn't going down his throat so she mouth feeds him water without hesitation whatsoever. He wakes up before she can kiss him the second time. Before he can reminisce on the kiss, he realizes he ate a Truth Pill that makes him speak only the truth. Firstly, he called her an "idiot" in an affectionate way. He then spills about how his heart always wanted to be with her. He ends the sentence by begging her to stop talking to him. Xuan Ji cheerfully asks more and more. And so he tells her more and more. From the moment he saw her, he wanted to be with her. She's his most important friend he cherishes. Instantly, like a built in reaction, she hooks onto his arm for him to tell her more. However, if Si Feng falls in love with the mask on, he'll experience extreme physical pain. If he breaks the mask's control three times, he will die. He has an internal fight against the truth pill and it finally wears off. Xuan Ji is disappointed she didn't ask more but she's more than satisfied that he still likes her. Girl, he loves you.
Xuan Ji and Si Feng reunite with the rest. A battle with the demons commences. The rope between Xuan Ji and Si Feng snaps but she flies to him to protect him. The crack on his mask widens as she worriedly calls out to him. In Si Feng's deep subconsciousness, he's still lying on the snow field at the thirteenth stage but he's slowly woken up to Xuan Ji's voice. On his arm is a marking that shows his heart has moved for her.

The demon who is harming them is Yu Er; she's Liu Yi Huan's daughter. She's a half demon who's controlled by a larger demon. Apparently, she died once and came back to life hence she's a half demon (according to Liu Yi Huan). Liu Yi Huan begs them to free her daughter. The moment they let their guard down she disappears to her master; she's still controlled.

Zhong Min Yan is injured. Ling Long cries for him thinking he died. When he wakes up, he wants to confess to her and clarify everything but Ling Long won't let him hurt her sister and Si Feng won't let him hurt Xuan Ji's feelings either. Both of them are trying to protect Xuan Ji when she really doesn't need protecting. Just let the man speak

[Ep12] The demon is from Xuan Yuan sect. They're controlled by the dark Tian Xu Tang (Wu Tong is in this dark sect now) who are after these special keys.

Xiao Yin Hua is worried about Si Feng. She warns him that being near Xuan Ji will leave him in danger. She just wants him to be safe. Oh, she's his snake. Si Feng tells her he is safe and happy here. He's got three lives anyways. He'd much rather be here than back in Li Ze Gong. Eavesdropping, Liu Yi Huan reveals he found a way to remove Si Feng's mask. It will require Xuan Ji. Only the person he loves can remove the mask and only on one condition. She has to sincerely love him and only him. If he uses up that one chance, he'll never be able to remove the mask. If she successfully removes the mask, it will have a happy expression and Si Feng's poison will be cured. Si Feng thanks him but it's no use, Xuan Ji already loves someone else. Liu Yi Huan counters that. He doesn't think Xuan Ji even knows what love is. Liu Yi Huan had a conversation with Xuan Ji and tells her the person she loves is someone she absolutely cannot share. Xuan Ji doesn't understand.

The next morning, the atmosphere is still tense. Ling Long is still mad at Zhong Min Yan. He wants to clarify but Ling Long won't let him. Xuan Ji finally steps up. She explains everything (!!!). She thought she loved Zhong Min Yan because Ling Long told her that love is sharing a secret and wanting to see him everyday. She had only wanted to see Zhong Min Yan because he always brought her good food. If that's the logic, then the person she should love is the chef who cooked her the food. Si Feng who had refused Liu Yi Huan's pesky encouragement to give Xuan Ji food, willingly and happily puts food in her bowl now. Yay. Si Feng is happy again

Liu Yi Huan motivates Si Feng to pursue Xuan Ji. Si Feng tells him Xuan Ji needs time to recuperate her feelings after all that misunderstanding. Liu Yi Huan sighs, "Your life is on the line and you still want to be the noble idiot." I agree! He continues urging him to take action. Xuan Ji is like a blank piece of paper. If giving her food is able to make her think that is love, Si Feng has boundless opportunities. Liu Yi Huan's encouragement is successful. Si Feng accompanies Xuan Ji for the whole day to help her sort out her feelings.

Xuan Ji starts crying for causing such a large commotion. If only she had a better understanding of her feelings, she wouldn't have made the people she love be so sad. Si Feng freaks out at her tears and wipes it away but there are no tears. She laughs at him for falling for it when she can't cry. He smiles and sarcastically asks her, "So you dare to tease me now?" He tells her that tears are precious; she can't use it randomly like that. This brings back the topic of her six senses. She wants to know more about her feelings but Hao Chen told her not to find the mirror fragments. She crouches in front of Si Feng asking for his opinion. He tells her that by finding herself and knowing her feelings, she can better protect those around her. Her naivety and ignorance wouldn't trouble others as well. If she's afraid of becoming a murderer and losing control, he assures her he'll always be with her to protect her. Xuan Ji smiles radiantly at that idea. With his motivation, she takes his mirror fragment. From the fragment, she gets more disorienting visions of a General in a bloody battle. She's the general. Other than the pieces of memories, her sense of smell is also back. Immediately, Si Feng takes her to a cherry blossom field. She sniffs around in delight. Soon, she's also sniffing him. She tells him he smells good, like someone familiar. He shifts around uncomfortably. She obviously doesn't notice him twitching and keeping his eyes closed. He gathers his courage to confess to her but she sneezes repeatedly. Her nose is overwhelmed. He sighs and keeps his confession for another time.

The next morning, everyone wonders at the feast before their eyes. No one dares to touch the food because no one has the money to pay for it. Si Feng had already paid though (with another valuable marble). Although the confession didn't happen, he's absolutely elated Xuan Ji is with him. He's like the rich oppa who spoils his girlfriend when he's happy. Hahaha

[Ep13] Si Feng learns to cook for Xuan Ji overnight. He had used the marble to buy all the ingredients and kitchen usage rights. He tells her now she doesn’t have to fall in love with the chefs at Shao Yang anymore. She can fall in love with him instead. Hahahaha

The group is off to find the third mirror fragment sans Liu Yi Huan (who needs to search for his daughter). They stop by at an event. Fire bursts at Xuan Ji. Si Feng blocks it and now she’s in his arms, their faces in close proximity. His hair is entangled in her heart pin. They’re stuck to each other, both feeling the proximity. Is Xuan Ji finally feeling something? After he untangles from her heart pin, he lies that her hair is messed up and he’ll need to leave a bit to buy her a hair pin. She doesn’t think it is. He confesses it’s him (his feelings) that is messed up. He needs to physically distance himself to calm down, hehe. While he’s gone, she is almost conned by this man who says he has a mirror fragment. When the man reaches out to her, a jealous Si Feng hangs him up in the midair. While he’s still floating above them, Si Feng affectionately puts the hair pin in Xuan Ji's hair, completely ignoring the floating man. Si Feng then sends him flying. Xuan Ji thinks he’s a nice man though. Si Feng assures her that’s why he’s letting the man see the beautiful city from the highest point possible. Haha

They’re off to another mission to take down a demon. They disguise themselves as four grooms for the demon lady to choose from. Xuan Ji pretends to be a guy. She changes into wedding clothes behind Si Feng. How can this guy stay calm? She’s having difficulty tying her belt. He turns to help her. She lifts her veil to see him and smiles brightly at him. Si Feng, how can you stay calm?

Wu Tong takes down his old sect (Xuan Yuan) and kills his master. All the other disciples watch their master die and betray the whereabouts of the sacred key. Wu Tong finds out the key is with Xuan Ji and thus he’s after her now.

Xuan Ji and the rest are captured by the demon. The men become victims to the demon’s powers, rendered paralyzed, except Xuan Ji. Xuan Ji waits for the chance to attack the demon but none of her attacks are hurting the demon. When Si Feng tries to protect Xuan Ji, the demon is angered. She hates couples.

[Ep14] Xuan Ji frees merman (Ting Nu). He leads her to find the demon’s real body to save her friends. Conveniently, there’s a wheelchair in the dungeon for Ting Nu to use. Ting Nu seems to know Xuan Ji's past and admires her.  She and the merman used to be gods. It’s still confusing who she really is but I’m relieved to know she’s not evil

The demon angers Xuan Ji by threatening to kill Si Feng. Her blue powers activate and take over once again. She attacks the demon and almost kills her if not for Si Feng’s appearance. His voice brings Xuan Ji’s consciousness back.

The demon tells them she’s trying to save her lover for the past thousand years. She’s taken only a little bit of blood from each person to save her lover. She hasn’t killed anyone. The people she captured actually idolize her. The one medication that can save her lover (Wu Zhi Qi) is locked by four special keys. Each key is guarded by the four sects. Tian Xu Tang is after the four keys too (hence why Wu Tong took down Xuan Yuan sect). Unlike her, they want to save Wu Zhi Qi for evil reasons.

The girls, Ling Long and Xiao Yin Hua, are searching for the boys and Xuan Ji. They're lost but somehow find the mirror fragment instead. Since they can’t take it out, they take note of the location, and continue their search for the others. These two are bickering their ways to being best friends

[Ep15] The last of Xuan Hu sect’s disciple self-destructs after learning Wu Tong’s men have annihilated his sect. The blast sends everyone running. Si Feng and Xuan Ji fall down into the water. He protected her and suffered injuries. He’s now unconscious. Her blue powers activate once more when she sees him in danger. Glimpses of her past as the Warrior God surfaces. She was chained as a prisoner for a crime she was accused of. That’s the end of those memory fragments.

Si Feng and Xuan Ji somehow end up in a cave under the water where there’s oxygen. Yeah, I don’t know how that works. Si Feng is unconscious. Naturally, she takes off his mask. It’s off just like that! When he wakes up, she’s already tending to his wounds. She tells him she checked every area on him and there’s only the injury on his chest left. He’s shy and asks her to what extent she has seen. Hahaha. She’s still focusing on his chest, exposing more and more of his skin. Before he can stop her, he realizes his mask is off. From his shocked expression, she thinks he’s mad. She quickly runs to find his mask but he stops her with a back hug. Si Feng is finally smiling brightly now. Such a pretty smile. He practically tells her how much he loves her and she in return is elated too. She doesn't understand what love is but she tells him she'll always be with him. He couldn’t be happier.
Si Feng holds Xuan Ji's face and slowly approaches her. She pauses and looks at him. She then smiles and initiates the kiss to his cheek. Si Feng turns red. She pokes at his cheeks. She finds it amusing that he's red. He's still smiling as she continues to poke him. So cute. Xuan Ji can see colours now. When she asks him what his favourite colour is, he replies that it's red. It’s because when girls wear a red wedding dress, they’re the most beautiful. He’s staring at her in the red dress.

Xuan Ji notices him wincing in pain. Thus she asks him for a reward. She wants him to let her tend to his wounds. She quickly peels off his clothes. This time he lets her peel his clothes however she wants. He smiles even if he’s in pain.

The place they're at is weird. They can't use their cultivation to escape here. It's barricaded with a magical force. Xuan Ji accidentally touches a staff that’s driven to the ground. Thunder starts striking recklessly. They dodge the storm in the cave. Xuan Ji feeds Si Feng the fruits she managed to collect before the storm. He takes it happily, despite the fruit being as bitter as ever. While he eats the bitter fruit,  he gives her the bun he had packed for her. At night she sleeps on his shoulder. He sighs that he’s not a saint. In her sleep, she says she knows but she snuggles into him even more. Without a choice, he holds her hands to sleep. He's in bliss, but the next morning he finds out the mask she took off is frowning.

Elsewhere, Wu Tong captures Ling Long. Elsewhere up in the sky, there's a Snake God who is very worried about his Warrior God. When the setting changed I thought I was watching a different drama

[Ep16] The mask is frowning and therefore Si Feng's poison still isn’t cured. Poor Si Feng. One moment so high, next moment so low. He uses the mask to conjure a sword to attack the staff that’s grounded next to the large tree. They think that's their way out of this weird place but the staff rebounds with even more energy sending him flying. To save him, Xuan Ji holds down the staff. The staff reacts to her. She absorbs all its blue powers. With one powerful move, she unearths the staff. The staff becomes a sword. Then the barrier breaks and the sky changes its composition. Xuan Ji is penetrated with more memories of the Warrior God breaking off her chains. Back in the present, Xuan Ji has unleashed the sword 'Ding Kun'. This sword used to belong to the Warrior God. When Xuan Ji is back to her senses, she tells Si Feng she's worried and confused. She doesn’t know what all this means or why the General looks like her. Si Feng hugs her and comforts her.

Hao Chen finally gets his letter from Xuan Ji but he seems bothered. The letter she sent starts with Si Feng ends with Si Feng and is filled with Si Feng.

The past life is a little confusing for me but I'll try to explain what I get. Hao Chen is Bai Lin Di Jun (a God of higher ranking than the Warrior God). He disguises himself as the human Hao Chen to guard Xuan Ji. Xuan Ji is his disciple, his Warrior God. He trained her for the purpose of bringing peace to the Three Realms. She must stay loyal to him and she must fight for him. Rather possessive, no? Whenever Si Ming says he descended for Xuan Ji, Hao Chen corrects him that he’s doing it for world peace. Because as long as Xuan Ji can safely live this life, it will bring peace to the Three Realms. But now she’s activated Ding Kun. I don't think Bai Lin Di Jun loved her when she was his Warrior God, but I can't say the same for Hao Chen towards Xuan Ji. He seemed particularly jealous that her letter was all about Si Feng

[Ep17] Si Feng and Xuan Ji are at Fu Yu Dao. They’re notifying the sect leader of what happened at Xuan Yuan. But there's something weird about this sect too. It revolves around the sect leader's wife. That wife is cheating on him. But the sect leader is hopelessly in love with her even if he caught her poisoning him.

Si Feng is accused of seducing the sect leader’s wife (Madam Rong). Xuan Ji believes him no matter what. Si Feng clarifies to her that no matter how pretty others are, he won’t look at them. His eyes are only for her. But she doesn’t get it no matter how many ways Si Feng explains it to her. I like how she plays with his hair or anything on him in fact

At night, Si Feng wants to drink with her. He plans to confess but two lightbulbs join the party. His confession fails and he ends up drunk. He’s frustrated at her for carelessly poking his heart. He holds her hand to put it to his chest. He wants her to feel his heartbeat that's beating for her. Initially she thought he was sick but as he continues to fervently stare at her, she suddenly retracts her hand away. Did she feel her heartbeat quickening too? She decides to fly him to a doctor but he pulls her back. The two spin in the sky and fall down gracefully into the petal covered floor. She turns to face him, her head resting on her hand. He tells her that if she took off his mask, she needs to take responsibility for him. Of course she will, she says. He goes in for a kiss but she sneezes. Is this the purpose of gaining her sense of smell? To interrupt everything.

Xuan Ji makes hangover soup for Si Feng. He reaches his hand to receive the bowl but she’s quicker at feeding it to his mouth. He likes that a lot. But the morning is shortly ruined when Li Ze Gong disciples are here to take him back. Since the mask wasn’t taken off properly (the frown), Si Feng still reports to Li Ze Gong. Si Feng knows he has to leave. He hugs her and tells her a secret: "It's really hard to live but you are worth it for me to live. T/N I may have changed the wording quite a bit but I believe this is the message he wanted to tell her. It would sound really off if I translated it as is. She won’t let them take him unless she can guarantee his safety. Si Feng is so touched he can cry. Li Ze Gong people challenge her that she needs to take responsibility. She declares she will but the responsibility is for her to be his wife. She hesitates but she agrees on their terms. Si Feng is so touched, he's speechless. However, whether or not she’ll marry him, the fact is the mask is frowning. That’s bs to her so she slices the mask with her new sword and it instantly breaks into pieces. The masked man declares a battle with her. Her eyes glow blue again to protect Si Feng. The masked man is not a match for her in this state of hers had it not been for Hao Chen's interruption.

[Ep18] Si Ming keeps mentioning that the Warrior God and Hao Chen are a pair. I don't like this. Hao Chen is upset at Xuan Ji for deciding to marry Si Feng so easily. Li Ze Gong's masked man makes her prove her love. Li Ze Gong is weird but okay. It seems like they're the ones who are really hung up on true love. Xuan Ji has to plant a piece of the mask she shattered. It will grow a "heart lantern" (a lily light). If the lantern lights up in Si Feng's hands, then she truly loves him. It's almost been two days, the time limit for her lantern to grow narrows and she hasn't grown anything. She hasn't been eating or sleeping just to plant this thing. But she does manage to grow it only Hao Chen destroys it without her knowing it. He then plants his piece of mask that he found. Therefore, the lantern that grows represents Hao Chen's heart and not Xuan Ji's. Si Feng is bound to fail because Hao Chen's lantern definitely won't glow in his hand. The interesting part to this is the emotionless Hao Chen was able to grow a heart lantern in the first place. That means he does love someone. Sigh.

As expected, Hao Chen's lantern disappears in Si Feng's hands. So sad. Look at the loving expression Si Feng gave her when she gave the lantern to him. Hao Chen gives the last blow that Xuan Ji only promised to marry him out of responsibility. It had nothing to do with love. There's tears in her eyes as she asks if she messed up. She's crying? Si Feng can't hate her. He knows she's different. Thus, other than Xuan Ji, any other ways to prove her love, Si Feng won't believe them.

Si Feng wants his answer from her and only her. He wants to make her understand what love is. And so he kisses her. Her heart is going all wild. So is his.

Si Feng: I love you. I love you more than anything in this world. I don't want to share you with anyone. I want you to only belong to me.

Si Feng gives Xuan Ji a hairpin (his mother's). But she's scared to accept something so precious. She already messed up when she accepted Zhong Min Yan's present from long long ago. Xuan Ji runs away from him. Her heart is still beating erratically. Sweat is dripping from her neck. Her breaths are short and fast. She's feeling heat all over her body and especially in her heart. She dunks herself in cold water to quell the heat but it's not working. Her mind is full of Si Feng. She's told that this is love. However, Hao Chen negates everything with his logic. He tells her that he's only momentarily distracted by Si Feng's actions. It cannot be love.

Elsewhere, Ling Long is tortured by Wu Tong.

[Ep19] Xuan Ji purposely stays away from Si Feng. She can't see him until her heart stops beating for him. Si Feng questions how that's going to work because that'll mean she'll die. He doesn't stop approaching her but Hao Chen keeps getting in the way.

We're finally back on course to save Ling Long. Xiao Yin Hua smuggles into Wu Tong's group of underlings and provides a way for Ling Long to escape. She's also trying to recover a mirror fragment. However, the plan fails and Ling Long is now controlled by Wu Tong. Xiao Yin Hua is caught for helping her escape. Luckily she can mind speak to Si Feng (why didn't she just use this earlier?). Si Feng and Xuan Ji arrive in time to help them. Zhong Min Yan is also led by Yu Er to save Ling Long.

[Ep20] Ling Long is saved. Zhong Min Yan is poisoned by Wu Tong. Xuan Ji tries to save her second-shixiong but the wall closes in on her. Si Feng saves her and catches her in his arms. Now she's finally feeling his proximity. Si Feng yells at her for not considering her own safety. There's love oozing from his words. Hao Chen is suspicious of Si Feng for being able to arrive at Wu Tong's hideout before him and for saving Yu Er (a half demon).

An exhausted Xuan Ji falls asleep while sitting. Her head is falling off her hands. Si Feng didn't want to touch her (because he's too in love with her) but he catches her cheek in his palms. In her sleep she holds onto his hand like it's her stuffed animal. Si Feng's poor heart is once again tickled by her

Xuan Ji volunteers to try the poison for Zhong Min Yan (he needs poison to counter his poison). Si Feng wants to protect her so he takes the poison immediately. He suffers a bit but luckily the poison he took is curable and therefore is a good medicine for Zhong Min Yan. Si Feng needs rest but he insists he's okay. Xuan Ji chooses to send him to his dorms over tending to Zhong Min Yan. Si Feng, why can't you see this?

Hao Chen plays dirty again. He uses his powers to make Zhong Min Yan think Xuan Ji is Ling Long. To comfort him, Xuan Ji pretends to be Ling Long to help him with his pain. She coos him that once he's better, they'll marry. Si Feng hears this. The poison in him cripples him. He spits out blood. The pain this poison induces will make him want to die over living. The more happy memories he has of her, the more he's in pain. Show, stoooooop hurting Si Feng. But these memories are also keeping him alive. Xiao Yin Hua wants to avenge her master. Despite the immense pain he's under, he protects Xuan Ji from Xiao Yan Hua and makes her promise to never hurt Xuan Ji. Si Feng has never blamed Xuan Ji, it's not her fault she doesn't love him back.

Thus Si Feng used up one of his lives. There were three markings on his inner wrist. Now there's two. Each time his poison takes over, one marking will move to his heart. Once all the markings on his wrist migrate to his heart, he will die a painful death.

Si Feng has recovered from his poison and is set on leaving. Xuan Ji doesn't want him to leave. She throws him a big hug but he pushes her off. "If you want my love (sincere heart), I can give it to you too. If you don't believe it –" Xuan Ji moves in to kiss his lips without hesitation. She tells him she can do anything for him. At this rate, Si Feng can never fall out of love with her. Should I pity him or not? Lol. He's upset she's carelessly throwing her love at him like it means nothing to her when it's everything for him. He then picks her up off the floor and throws her onto his bed. He hovers over her and asks her if she can really do anything for him. He moves in for a kiss (very hesitantly). Xuan Ji touches his lip with her finger and brushes through it. She then wraps her hands behind his neck and pulls him closer, "Is it time to kiss now?" I'm shaking my head, Si Feng's poor heart. He knows she doesn't understand this and it upsets him more. A female disciple knocks on the door. Si Feng tells her to come in while dismissing Xuan Ji. Xuan Ji walks off annoyed and complains to a sleeping Ling Long that Si Feng chose another girl over her. Xuan Ji doesn't know that this uncomfortable feeling is jealousy.

Ling Long wakes up but she's not okay. Her soul isn't there. Wu Tong is keeping her soul hostage in exchange for the special key. Si Feng, who had wanted to leave, decides to stay and help Xuan Ji save her sister.

[Ep21] The Fate Stone is activated and it surrounds Xuan Ji and Hao Chen with a red aura. This means they're fated for each other. (Si Feng had wanted to activate this stone back in Ep17 that night when he was drunk, but he couldn't. Methink this Fate Stone is bullocks D:) Xuan Ji is quick to disagree. She uses Hao Chen's words that a measly rock cannot control her marriage. Si Feng is upset when he learns about the Fate Stone. He avoids her. Xuan Ji desperately explains to him that she won't listen to a rock. She's clueless about love but she says marriage isn't something she can easily agree to. Everyone else looks at her like she can marry about just anyone but that just isn't true. She's only willing to marry Si Feng. It can't be Zhong Min Yan, or Hao Chen; it can only be Si Feng.

Demons are attacking them. Xuan Ji was certainly the Warrior God. She sends her Ding Kun to attack the demons and it creates a tumultuous blast of energy destroying all the demons. Si Feng is pretty powerful but when Xuan Ji is paired with her Ding Kun, she's a whole new beast. The blast sends Xuan Ji falling. Si Feng catches her and lectures her once again for neglecting her safety. She asks him if he cares about her again. She thinks he's still mad about the Fate Stone. She reiterates once more that it's just a meaningless rock.

The dad decides to sacrifice, saving Ling Long's soul for all the sect's safety. They cannot give in the real key to save her otherwise the big bad demon will be unleashed.

[Ep22] Si Feng is accused of working with Wu Tong. The sect leaders want him to turn in Xiao Yin Hua who Zhong Min Yan is certain of having a part in stealing Ling Long’s soul. Xuan Ji believes in Si Feng but no one else does. No matter how Si Feng is brutally punished by the other sect leaders, he won’t turn in Xiao Yin Hua. Hao Chen also seals Xuan Ji’s cultivation to prevent her from helping Si Feng.

Wu Tong is obsessed with Ling Long. He uses her soul to create another copy of Ling Long. This wannabe Ling Long doesn’t have memories. She only knows that Wu Tong is her saviour.

[Ep23] Wu Tong is a masochist. He hates it when Ling Long is nice to him. He loves it when she hates him or when she slaps him.

Hao Chen interrogates Si Feng. He’s upset he changed Xuan Ji. Si Feng’s words strike a nerve in Hao Chen because it’s the exact words Xuan Ji said to him when she was his Warrior God. She was upset at him for making her emotionless. Because of him, she has no feelings, no family, no friends. Si Feng confronts Hao Chen why he wants Xuan Ji deprived of human emotions. Wu Tong and Hao Chen are quite the psychotic obsessive type

Zhong Min Yan starts believing Si Feng but it’s too late. The way Si Feng is punished, he’s bound to die. Xuan Ji runs to the dungeon to save him. He sets up a barrier to prevent her from entering. It’s dangerous for her. She breaks the barrier and runs to him. Her eyes are watery.

Si Feng couldn’t explain himself to the leaders because he sent Xiao Yin Hua to find the mirror fragments. If he revealed that then he would be exposing Xuan Ji’s blue powers. Si Feng was risking his life to protect Xuan Ji. Xuan Ji doesn’t think she’s worth it over his life.

Si Feng: The things I do for you isn’t about whether it’s worth it, it’s whether I’m (sincerely) willing to do it.

Xuan Ji takes Si Feng to run away even against Hao Chen and her father’s orders. She puts a knife to her neck to protect him. Hao Chen asks her if it’s worth it to risk her life for Si Feng. She uses Si Feng’s words that it’s not about whether it’s worthy, it’s about whether she sincerely wants to. But Si Feng doesn’t want to put a wedge between her and her father. He holds onto Xuan Ji’s hands. He tells her he’s touched by her words and he can handle the punishment (for her). Si Feng willingly takes the three deadly whips to prove that he's not a demon.

[Ep24*] Si Feng has suffered the second whip. Each whip is electric, shocking every nerve in his body with excruciating pain. Xuan Ji cries and hollers that he’s innocent but no one is listening. Her eyes glow blue and she summons her Ding Kun. This overly dramatic music is finally growing on me. Ding Kun entraps the whip around itself protecting Si Feng. Xuan Ji holds Si Feng’s hands.

Xuan Ji: “Without Si Feng, I don’t need my life either.”

The masters won’t relent on Si Feng’s punishment. In comes Si Feng’s master who brings evidence to prove Si Feng’s innocence. When the master asks who is responsible for accusing the innocent, none of the righteous leaders admit their faults. Uh Hao Chen, aren’t you a mighty and righteous god?

Si Feng is resting in bed. Zhong Min Yan tells Si Feng he’s never seen Xuan Ji like that. To her, he is her one and only. Si Feng is finally certain of her feelings.

Xuan Ji is at Si Feng’s bed side. He’s impatient and wants to get up but she orders him to rest. He smiles and listens. He also teases her about the vase. Zhong Min Yan told him about how she described her heart as the vase she broke when she was young. That was the saddest thing in her life and she compared that vase breaking to her heart breaking when he was imprisoned. He teases her how he’s only a vase to her. She’s embarrassed and asks him to teach her how to articulate her feelings better. He has something else he wants to teach her. He wants to teach her how to fall in love with him. She ponders. She puts her chin on her hand and tilts her head as she asks him innocently, “Is it hard?” It’s not. She just needs to learn it step by step. She might just be slower at it but no worries, Si Feng has all the patience in the world. He’s willing to teach her but only if she’s willing to learn it. He taps her head softly, tenderly. The entire time they’re talking, she has her hands tightly clasped around his. The first lesson he teaches her is to forgo that book of hers. He doesn’t need to be in her book, he wants to be the only one in her heart. The second lesson he teaches her is how to repel other men. If any man says he’s cold, she is not to hug him but to hit him. She sighs that she has to hit people now. He’s so frustrated with her responses, he pinches her cheeks.

Xiao Yin Hua is eavesdropping. Now that Xuan Ji knows she's the snake, she happily gives her fruits she purposely picked out for her. A grumpy Xiao Yin Hua is slowly warming up to Xuan Ji. Then Xuan Ji runs back to her seat next to Si Feng and puts her hand over his like it’s the most normal thing ever. Si Feng is smitten with her skinship. He's laughing so naturally, guys!!!

[Ep25] Hao Chen wants Xuan Ji to cut ties with Si Feng. Thus, he plans to marry her. He got his master to arrange the marriage. Meanwhile, the masters of Si Feng and Xuan Ji are against them meeting and prevent the two from seeing each other. But she works with Zhong Min Yan to sneak out. The five of them (Si Feng, Xuan Ji, Zhong Min Yan, Xiao Yan Hua, and Ruo Yu) work together to find Ling Long.

The group meets up with the demon fox lady from last time and she leads them closer on how to recover Ling Long's soul. The demon seductively touches Si Feng’s face. Xuan Ji is very quick to intercept. She’s experiencing a dose of jealousy. The demon fox knows it.

Liu Yi Huan has a third eye. Tian Xu Tang forces him to confirm whether Xuan Ji is the Warrior God. Initially, Liu Yi Huan refused but they threatened him with his daughter.

Meanwhile Wu Tong trumps over Tian Xu Tang's leader by figuring out his identity. He's the VP of Li Ze Gong (Yuan Lang) and his motive is to rule over the grand sects. Wu Tong uses this as a wager to gain more power.

[Ep26] The Demon Fox tells the group her love story with Wu Zhi Qi. I swear the guy just treats her like a pet that he likes flinging around. Animal abuse? She spent 500 years to gain her human form to win his love.

Si Feng makes a passing comment on Hao Chen. Xuan Ji smiles cheerfully as she asks him if this is jealousy.

Liu Yi Huan is threatened to work for Wu Tong otherwise his daughter will be in danger. Thus, Si Feng and Xuan Ji are sucked into the mirror. They learn about her past and how she's the Warrior God in her past life. Hao Chen intercepts the visions so they don't get to see who Bai Lin is. Xuan Ji can only hear the Warrior God complaining she’s only “his” (Hao Chen) weapon used by them to commit all sorts of sins. Overwhelmed, Xuan Ji runs away. Si Feng was about to chase after her but then he appears in the mirror too. In these visions, Xuan Ji is a dancer while he plays qin. She’s called Lan Yue. He loves her here too but she doesn’t. She doesn't believe in anyone but herself.

[Ep27] This episode was pretty epic. Lan Yue is Xuan Ji's first life after being demoted as Warrior God. In this life she killed an entire family to avenge her family. The Si Feng here takes the blame for her and helps her escape. When she asks him why she's doing this for her, he says he's betting on her to remember him in her heart even after his death. She bites her finger and dabs her blood at the corner of his left eye. "Are you going to follow this drop of blood to ask me this question (to make me remember you?" She asks. It's a sadistic joke but he answers it seriously, "Perhaps." And thus follows eight other lives of him sacrificing for her.
  1. Si Feng is beheaded for Lan Yue's crimes but she doesn't seem to care. The blood mark on his eye is still there when he's beheaded. When we switched back to the current Si Feng, I was surprised to see an actual mole on his eye. Was it always there? Omg
  2. Xuan Ji is a princess who received help from Si Feng to overthrow the current Emperor. He would do anything for her but she doesn't trust him because he's too powerful. She makes him drink a cup of poisonous wine. Si Feng (Xin Wang) pulls her in for a hug. Guys, he doesn't have a mole here. Or am I not looking closely enough? Does this mean the mole is only on the current Si Feng...? He almost kisses her but she pushes him away. Xin Wang takes the poison because he'll do anything for her. With the blood he spits out, Xuan Ji leaves another blood mark at his left eye.
  3. She's a witch now that's about to be executed if she doesn't regain her vision. Si Feng gives her his eyes and because that's illegal in their world, he has to die in order to keep her safe. Xuan Ji doesn't seem grateful at all he did this much for her.
  4. They're fighting in a dungeon of some sort. Only one of them can survive. At the last fatal blow they both strike at each other. She pierces him but he points at her with his sword handle. He spits out blood again and she dabs another blood mark on him
  5. Xuan Ji is a demon and he is using his own life to suck out the demon aura from her. He wants her to live her life at ease. She doesn't understand why he's so obsessed with her. He just doesn't want her to forget him. But she says she will. Si Feng tells her in his death, "Even if you forget me, I will still wait for you. No matter where you are, I will find you."
  6. She's an imperial guard and he's a prisoner. He used his entire life to draw portraits of her but she tells him she won't even bat him an eye. She kills him.
  7. They're fighting to be the leader of the sect or more like she wants it but he doesn't. He only loves her. At least this time she cries for him when he dies
  8. They're both generals. He protects her. She's not the one who killed him in this lifetime
  9. Xuan Ji is an assassin this time. Once he dies, she's free. If she fails, she'll die. So he dies for her. He only hopes that she won't forget him. Every single lifetime, she will always put a blood mark at the corner of his left eye.
And now we're at Si Feng's tenth lifetime with Xuan Ji. He's in shock that none of the nine lives he had with her was a happy one. Elsewhere, Xuan Ji is overwhelmed just to learn she's the Warrior God. In the visions, the Warrior God is chained. She hollers it's a joke for her to even be a god; she wants to kill the entire world. A phoenix arrives and possibly helps her escape. Is this Si Feng??

With the mirror fully activated, Xuan Ji is recovering her Warrior God powers. She manages to summon her golden armour from the celestial palace. She undergoes a Sailor Moon transformation. Moon Prism Power! Make Up! The sky is changing once more as the Warrior God in Xuan Ji is waking up. Everyone tries to stop her because she's sucking Si Feng and Purple Demon (fox lady) dry of their souls. Liu Yi Huan quickly uses his third eye to break the mirror to save everyone. This also means Liu Yi Huan went against Tian Xu Tang's orders of waking up Xuan Ji's Warrior God. They want to wake her up (and then get rid of her???) because she's the one who sealed the Big Bad Demon they want to wake up. Big Bad Demon = Si Feng???

Everyone is safe now. Xuan Ji wakes up and she can feel heat for the first time. Liu Yi Huan isn't very happy with her especially when she admitted to never seeing Si Feng in the mirror. That means he was never in her heart. The mirror brings out a person's deepest regret/desire/pain, etc. Liu Yi Huan coldly tells her that Si Feng is leaving her. The poor boy died nine times for her already. Hearing these words from Liu Yi Huan, Xuan Ji feels her heart suffocating. Xuan Ji has regained all of her six senses. She can feel pain in her heart. She runs like crazy to find Si Feng. Zhong Min Yan lectures Liu Yi Huan for being overly cruel to Xuan Ji. Liu Yi Huan says he's doing it for Si Feng. Knowing Si Feng, he'll keep this to himself. If he doesn't say it, Xuan Ji will never know. Aw

[Ep28] Xuan Ji finds Si Feng at the harbour. She tells him she regained her six senses. She can now love him and care for him. Si Feng is still processing their past nine lives together though and can't accept her. She argues that the past nine lives don't matter to her, she only knows her current life. He pushes her off though.

Xuan Ji: I like you. I just want to be with you forever (this lifetime).

Xuan Ji kisses him on the lips. She shyly asks him if he can stay but before she finishes the sentence, he kisses her back. He never was planning to leave her.

Si Feng: If I keep remembering the past, how can I live this life well? This lifetime, I'll make you remember me.

Xuan Ji and Si Feng are on a date at night (Chinese Valentine's Day). She offers to buy the dolls to celebrate the day. In exchange, she wants something back from him. She requests for the hairpin that he wanted to give her the other day. He smiles and tells her that once she accepts his hairpin, she is his. She smiles and responds that if he accepts her doll then he's hers too. Their display of love continues despite there being an audience like poor Liu Yi Huan. Xuan Ji tells him that she exchanged her lifetime for the hairpin. Si Feng agrees that he received a great deal too. Liu Yi Huan shudders.

Up in the celestial palace, Si Ming is telling the other god about Bai Lin and Warrior God's love life. Bai Lin had to marry a southern God to bring peace to the world. This angered Warrior God. According to Si Min, that is. Thus, the Warrior God secluded herself and only talked to birds (a phoenix?). Later on, for some reason, she killed Bai Lin's wife's father which is the reason she's punished and has to live through ten lives of tribulation.

Purple Fox is still stuck in the mirror. She doesn't want to leave because the love of her life is there. Xuan Ji offers to re-enter the mirror to save Purple Fox. Si Feng holds her back and says he'll go with her. He reminds her that she said she'll start relying on him from on. These two are so cheesy now, lol. But I like it. They manage to convince Purple Fox to leave by promising her to save Wu Zhi Qi.

[Ep29] Not only can Xuan Ji feel heat, she has her first taste of coldness. Si Feng holds her while she sleeps. Xuan Ji smiles that he’s warmed her up. Lol, so much fan service. I don’t mind though

The group enters Bu Zhou Shan. Purple Fox finds Wu Zhi Qi but he barely remembers her. Yuan Lang (Tian Xu Tang's leader) sucks her soul. The others find the wannabe Ling Long.

[Ep30] There’s a time limit to how long normal people can survive in Bu Zhou Shan. The group is almost at their limit. Thus, Zhong Min Yan offers his life (allegiance to Tian Xu Tang) and the key Wu Tong wants in exchange for Ling Long’s soul. Basically, Zhong Min Yan is betraying Shao Yang.

However, because Yuan Lang used Purple Fox’s soul to lock them in Bu Zhou Shan, there’s no way the group can get out alive. Ruo Yu allies with Wu Tong to stay alive as well. Wu Tong wants Ruo Yu to prove his loyalty so he orders him to kill Xuan Ji and he does. Si Feng blocks the fatal attack; no one can attack his girl as long as he lives. Xuan Ji cries for Si Feng who’s on the brink of death. She summons her Ding Kun to safely leave Bu Zhou Shan with Si Feng. Hao Chen also helped on the outside; he can’t let Xuan Ji die here and fail her tenth tribulation. Hao Chen is forced to save Si Feng too because Xuan Ji would have risked her life for him.

Even with Hao Chen using up almost all his powers, Si Feng is still barely alive. Xuan Ji, who can cry now, cries a magical tear that has vitality powers. The tear refuses to be absorbed into Si Feng so Xuan Ji uses her mouth to force it into Si Feng. Si Feng finally has a reaction but he’s still unconscious.

Si Feng is actually a demon. That’s why the tears won’t go into him. That tear is harmful for demons. He’s been using this ‘element’ (for lack of a better name) to control the demon in him from showing. Xiao Yin Hua tried to take this element out to help Si Feng recover but Si Feng would rather suffer than let Xuan Ji know he’s a demon. He tells her to bring Liu Yi Huan. Good thing Liu Yi Huan brings Ting Nu who saves Si Feng (and Hao Chen who was trying to investigate Si Feng’s body with his cultivation). Ting Nu also finds Hao Chen oddly familiar.

[Ep31] All of Li Ze Gong's disciples are demons. That’s why Si Feng is always protecting the good demons. That’s why he’s always touched when Xuan Ji protects them with him. That’s why Liu Yi Huan (a disciple) has a daughter who is half demon. That’s why all of them wear masks to conceal their demonic aura.

Xuan Ji has never feared so much her entire life until almost losing Si Feng. She promises him she’ll grow stronger to protect all the people she loves. Si Feng wakes up and teases her for crying for him. He also pretends to be dizzy just to make her hug him. When she’s close enough, he quickly kisses her forehead. Although he’s happy she loves him, he’s guilty for lying to her about being a demon.

Ruo Yu is helping Zhong Min Yan. He can’t watch his brother be in danger alone. Liu Yu, why are you so nice? He overheard Xuan Ji’s dad assigning Zhong Min Yan to spy on Tian Xu Tang. Dad wants their key for world peace my butt. Ruo Yu assures Zhong Min Yan that the injury he gave Si Feng isn’t fatal. Uh, it was almost fatal... Xuan Ji’s dad’s (Chu Lei) motive is obviously dubious. Ruo Yu and Zhong Min Yan discover that Wu Tong still kept half of Ling Long’s soul in the fake Ling Long.

[Ep32] The Snake God injures Si Feng and that activates Xuan Ji’s blue powers. Don’t touch her man~ She almost kills the Snake God with her Ding Kun. But Si Feng is fine. Si Feng suggests to Xuan Ji that she should take the God as her pet (just like how he has Xiao Yin Hua as his pet). The magic spell works. He’s now her Teng She. So one can adopt a god as a pet

After putting out the fire, Xuan Ji’s face is all dirty and the ends of her eyebrows are gone. Si Feng cleans her face and fills in her eyebrows for her. Liu Yi Huan taught him how to draw brows saying that it’ll be useful one day. It really is useful for giving us fan service

Teng She hates being Xuan Ji’s pet and wipes out an entire street to blame it on Xuan Ji, his “owner”. When he tries to hurt  Xuan Ji, he can’t. Because he’s her owner. However when he ends up hurt, she helps him. She uses her blood to heal him. Si Feng doesn’t like Xuan Ji injuring herself for another man. Xuan Ji teases him that he’s jealous of her pet. Si Feng shamelessly wants her to comfort him. She pats his head but he wants more than that. He wants a kiss. Xuan Ji’s heart flutters when he kisses her.

Si Feng has a way to tempt Teng She to stay as her pet. Teng She is a foodie and Si Feng has exceptional cooking skills. Therefore, Teng She stays. Technically, I say Teng She was already moved by Xuan Ji when she saved him with her blood. A happy Xuan Ji feeds Teng She a peeled shrimp. Si Feng clears his throat and she immediately gives it to Si Feng instead. Teng She glares at his food being stolen. Si Feng glows that this is habitual of them. Haha. But Si Feng doesn’t get to glow much anymore after that. They learn from Teng She that the Warrior God used to love Bai Lin. Xuan Ji is confused.

[Ep33] Everyone is working together to help Ling Long recover the other half of her soul, even the fake Ling Long and Xuan Ji’s new pet. Teng She is able to use fake Ling Long to restore the rest of Ling Long’s soul. It’s successful. However, Ruo Yu intercepts the demon from restoring herself. He wants to use fake Ling Long to retrieve the key first. They manage to get the key but Ruo Yu falls off a cliff with the key. Wu Tong swears to get back his precious Ling Long.

[Ep34] Zhong Min Yan returns with Ling Long’s soul. She wakes up but Min Yan is punished. Apparently Chu Lei really didn’t order Min Yan to retrieve the key. It was someone from Tian Xu Tang who disguised as Xuan Ji’s dad. Ruo Yu also works under Yuan Lang (Tian Xu Tang). He steals the key from Wu Tong and he really did try to kill Si Feng. He’s doing all this because Yuan Lang has his sister hostage.
Hao Chen still wants to marry Xuan Ji to take her away from Si Feng so he uses an excuse that they need to marry and combine their cultivation to attack this thing but Teng She is here now. He’s a god and doesn’t like being looked down on. He easily handles the matter allowing Xuan Ji to dodge the marriage. Teng She is easily becoming one of my favourite characters. Teng She also hits Hao Chen for being annoying. The shocked expression on Hao Chen made me laugh so hard. Hao Chen’s thoughts: How dare this lowly snake attack ME?

Ling Long slowly remembers what her other half of her soul did to her shi-xiong. She cries. She can’t forgive herself and can’t show herself to Min Yan meanwhile he thinks he’s the one who wronged her.

[Ep35] Chu Lei punishes Zhong Min Yan. I still think dad is suspicious. He’s oddly unforgiving. Ling Long stops him from killing himself because she knows she’s the one who “killed” shi-xiong. This is so forced. What did they even do wrong? She only handed the guy an already poisoned cake not knowing it was poisoned. Min Yan only delivered an already dead man to Shao Yang. Everyone begs for Min Yan. He avoids death punishment but he’s permanently banished from Shao Yang. Ling Long decides to leave too. She can live without Shao Yang but she’ll die if she’s not with Zhong Min Yan. The two leave Shao Yang together.

Xuan Ji is sad her sister left. Si Feng says he’s quite envious of them though. He asks her if she’s willing to travel with him after they settle their matters. She shies away while smiling cutely. That night she puts Si Feng’s mother’s picture right next to her mother’s memorial. They bow to greet both their mothers. Si Feng smiles and says she’s practically his wife now. Xuan Ji hits him that this doesn’t count. If that’s so then where are her wedding presents? He says he already gave her his most precious hairpin. She counters that it’s a present from his mother. Si Feng teases her by complaining to both the moms about Xuan Ji being shameless.

The hairpin however has a bird that represents this demon bird. It’s this demon bird who killed Xuan Ji’s mother. Great, now they’re star crossed lovers. Si Feng is confused but he tries to convince her not all demon birds are evil. He promises to help her investigate this.

Si Feng's master's motives come into light. He wants to revive Hao Feng with these shards of stuff. She’s been in slumber for twenty years. Thus he works with Yuan Lang to gather all the sect leaders to a conference in order to gather the thing he needs to revive Hao Feng.

[Ep36] Si Feng and his master have an unpleasant conversation about Xuan Ji not loving him anymore when she finds out he’s a demon. He’s incredibly upset but when he gives Xuan Ji a back hug, all his worries dissolve. He’s still not ready to tell her the truth yet but he does tell her if she ever heard anything from someone else, she has to wait until he explains it to her.

Hao Chen discovers that Si Feng is a demon. He tells the other sect leaders all about it. This is more of a reason for dad to reject this son-in-law.

Si Feng tries to stop his master’s evil plans to destroy the other sects to resurrect his lover but he ends up being trapped. Meanwhile Xuan Ji battles “Hao Feng” of Li Ze Gong in the conference. Hao Feng is actually the master in disguise. By the way, why does this guy (Mickey He) not age?  He summons this lion, bull, ox? What a confusing beast. A war is declared between Li Ze Gong and all others.

[Ep37This episode’s theme: the reveal of the mega truth that trumps all truths.

Si Feng learns his master is his father and Hao Feng is his mother. His father’s relationship with his mother was always prohibited by the sect leaders. She died to keep his master’s/father’s demon identity a secret.

During the battle and the chaos, Xuan Ji learns Si Feng is a demon too. Xuan Ji doesn't believe it and needs to hear it from Si Feng himself. Si Feng cries; he no longer can hide it; he can only apologize to her.

And then the ultimate truth is exposed. The demon who killed Xuan Ji’s mother is the master. All the sect leaders attack the master but then he fights them back with his all powerful golden wings. Yo if dad was this powerful, why hide for so long?
Si Feng is trying so hard to save everyone. I hope people see this. Si Feng unseals the demon in himself. Golden wings emerge from his back. Si Feng is looking good with these magnificent golden wings. But Hao Chen leads the attack on Si Feng and master because obviously no one sees how Si Feng is helping everyone. Si Feng takes the attack for dad and almost dies.

Xuan Ji still does believe in Si Feng. However, he also needs to protect his newly reunited father. Si Feng coldly tells Xuan Ji to leave. Xuan Ji's trust in Si Feng is slowly shattering.

Back to the battle, Wu Tong steals back Ling Long.

[Ep38] Xuan Ji is furious when she learns Wu Tong has captured Ling Long. Her blue powers take over. She summons her armour. It's an angry Sailor Moon transformation. Xuan Ji is taken over by the Warrior God as she attacks Wu Tong. Hao Chen controls her but everyone now knows she's the Warrior God.

Hao Chen continues to manipulate the truth. He tells her Si Feng used her love because he knew she was the Warrior God. The Warrior God is the demon's worst enemy. Ling Long agrees with Hao Chen's thoughts and tells her to avoid Si Feng. She's saying Si Feng didn't help fight against the Li Ze Gong master. Is she blind? Are they all blind? However, Zhong Min Yan says he believes in Si Feng's love for Xuan Ji. The only sane person.

Master saves Si Feng. He also gives him a potion to forget his love for Xuan Ji, that way he can cure the poison in him. The master starts telling his newly reunited son about his love story. It was mutual but the sect leaders were against their love because he was a demon. So why can't he believe his son can find love too?

[Ep39] Yuan Lang exposes the master: Hao Feng never returned his love when she found out he was a demon. It was also Yuan Lang who actually killed Xuan Ji's mother to keep Li Ze Gong's demoness a secret. PhewAnd. There is no medicine that can revive the dead. The master finally reconciles with the truth that Hao Feng loved him only prior to knowing he was a demon. From heartbreak, Si Feng's father dies in his arms. Si Feng needs some hugs right now. Xuan Ji, where art thou? He tells his father to take the 'Forgetting' potion but dad doesn't want to. He wants to remember Hao Feng after his death. I cried for Mickey He. Immediately, after his father's death, Si Feng is forced to hand over Li Ze Gong's powers to Yuan Lang. Technically Si Feng is way more powerful, but Yuan Lang was threatening him with the lives of the disciples.

Xuan Ji consumes alcohol until she's numb. It's impossible for her to kill Si Feng which is what the sect leaders want her to do. She's heartbroken not because he's a demon but that he lied to her. Purple Fox convinces her to speak with Si Feng to clear their misunderstandings. It's obvious to her Xuan Ji still loves him. Xuan Ji isn't one to hate demons for no reason. The demons are the smart ones in this drama.
[Ep40] Si Feng and Xuan Ji meet this episode! They actually meet thanks to Purple Fox, Liu Yi Huan, and Teng She (I have to give credit where it's due). She rings the bell to tell him she's there. When she sees him, she quickly dodges behind the tree. He apologizes to her. He tells her everything he knows. She believes him. She really believes him. Si Feng can't believe his ears and asks if he can walk over to her. She crouches down and cries that he can't. She believes him but that doesn't mean their problems are solved. His father killed her mother. He tells her that it's Yuan Lang who killed her mother. He promises to investigate everything. She runs to him and pleads with him not to. All the other sects want her to destroy Li Ze Gong. She asks him if he's still in Li Ze Gong, does that mean she'll have to fight him. Xuan Ji cries. Si Feng wipes her tears and apologizes for putting her in a difficult situation. He asks her to give him time to settle Yuan Lang and to save Li Ze Gong. Si Feng asks for Xuan Ji to wait for him. Sniffles. She continues to cry. I think that's a yes but she runs off crying some more.

Ling Long can't get over the traumatic past she had with Wu Tong. She commits suicide. Zhong Min Yan saves her. I'm glad she's alive but she needs to shut up and stop interfering with Si Feng and Xuan Ji's love. I get what the drama is doing with her character; since she can't be the filial daughter, she wants Xuan Ji to be extra doting in her place.

[Ep41] Hao Chen continues to be an interference. He makes it look like Xuan Ji is planning to kill Si Feng. Si Feng doesn't believe it but he's forced to hear Xuan Ji promise to cut all her ties with him. He doesn't hear the part that she was forced to make that promise otherwise her father's health will suddenly destabilize.

Si Feng believes what he hears. He's later imprisoned by Shao Yang (willingly). Xuan Ji sends Teng She to visit him because Ling Long is preventing her from leaving her room. Si Feng rejects the food from Teng She. Soon Xuan Ji realizes Si Feng has misunderstood her.

[Ep42] Xuan Ji tries to save Si Feng from the dungeon but she falls into the trap set by Hao Chen. When the sect leaders send a sword aiming at Si Feng, Xuan Ji throws herself to protect him. He's quicker at it and takes the sword for her. Just how many times does he need to spit blood? At least he knows that Xuan Ji loves him. Yuan Lang is elsewhere awakening the soul of Mo Sha Xing (the mega demon). Everyone thinks the body of Mo Sha Xing is Si Feng but the blood that had awakened the soul is from Xuan Ji. Si Feng immediately realizes Xuan Ji is Mo Sha Xing. He pushes her away and lies to everyone that he is the mega demon hiding all along. He lies even more that he used Xuan Ji's love. Xuan Ji cannot not believe him this time. By the way, Teng She is the best pet ever

The world is falling apart for Xuan Ji. Her disciples are dying. Her father takes the responsibility and breaks his finger. Hao Chen tries to save the scene and make her marry him because that will solve everything. Wut. She agrees to marry him but the next day she locks herself in the same dungeon Si Feng was in. The pain she's feeling there cannot compare to the pain in her heart. Hao Chen continues to brainwash her but when he sees her in pain, he starts crying. Hao Chen isn't used to this liquid substance called 'tears'.

Si Feng continues to pretend to be Mo Sha Xing in front of Yuan Lang. Now Yuan Lang has to obey him. Cool. Yuan Lang doesn't completely believe he is Mo Sha Xing though. Xiao Yin Hua knows Si Feng is pretending. She also knows he purposely hit Xuan Ji in the dungeon to stop her from bleeding. Oh. Xuan Yin Hua doesn't want him to continue risking his life for her. Si Feng won't listen to her, of course. He never does.
[Ep43] Yu Si Feng assumes his new role as Mo Sha Xing. Xuan Ji and Si Feng battle it out. It's her blue powers vs. his red/gold powers. When no one can hear them, he asks her if she really is marrying Hao Chen. By the way, Hao Chen had manipulated Xuan Ji's memories making her think she loved him when she was a Warrior God.
[Ep44] Hao Chen continues to be an imbecile and throws a sneak attack at Li Ze Gong. Si Feng thinks Xuan Ji was in on the plan to destroy his innocent Li Ze Gong. Si Feng wants Hao Chen's life. Xuan Ji can't watch him kill who she thinks is innocent. But when Hao Chen attacks Si Feng from the back, she protects him. The same happens when Xiao Yin Hua attacks Xuan Ji from the back. Si Feng protects her. However, to Xuan Ji, the truth that Si Feng had continuously lied to her is before her eyes. She cannot forgive that.

Si Feng won't forgive anyone for hurting Xuan Ji, even if it's his pet, Xiao Yin Hua. He disowns her. Xiao Yin Hua takes something from her heart and inserts it into Si Feng's palms. I don't know what her thought process is but it made me cry. I think she sang the OST here too.

[Ep45] Xuan Ji’s silver armour goes up against Si Feng’s gold armour. Si Feng is here to save Wu Zhi Qi. She thinks he’s here to find dark powers to take over the world.

Xuan Ji: I’m here to kill you.
Si Feng: Then we’ll see if, Warrior God, you have the ability to.

She continues to challenge him to fight her. He doesn’t want to. There’s a demon behind her and that’s when he points his sword at her (the demon behind her). She continues to misunderstand him and points her sword to his neck every time. He finds proof that Yuan Lang is the killer of her mother but that’s not enough to make her forgive him. He has lied to her too many times now. While he’s preoccupied with her, he gives the sacred item to Purple Fox to save Wu Zhi Qi. Purple Fox faints over after she saves him but reminds Wu Zhi Qi to help Si Feng because he's the one who truly saved him.

Si Feng tells Xuan Ji he only wants to protect the person he loves. He’s not Mo Sha Xing. He wants to start anew with her. Dude. How is the girl going to believe you now??? Xuan Ji won’t hear a word of it. She can’t bring herself to kill him so she decides to use a special jade to cleanse out his evil aura that Hao Chen has given her. She wants him back, just not an evil and lying Si Feng. However, once she uses the jade on him, more blood oozes from his mouth. Wu Zhi Qi clarifies this jade is one of the most lethal weapons that even gods fear. Xuan Ji realizes Hao Chen lied to her. Wu Zhi Qi saves Si Feng and also takes him from her. Xuan Ji is in an emotional mess.

I like this Wu Zhi Qi already!! He’s funny especially during his dialogues with Yuan Lang. Wu Zhi Qi completely owning Yuan Lang. Now I need a character like that for Hao Chen. That would be Teng Se. But where is he? Teng Se is sneaking around Bai Lin’s room. He’s so close to finding out Xuan Ji’s real backstory!

Si Feng wakes up with Ting Nu and Wu Zhi Qi’s help. He has no idea how much Xuan Ji cried for him. Liu Yi Huan is at his ear side complaining how evil Xuan Ji is for using that jade on him. Si Feng isn’t angry at her though. He thinks it’s because he lied to her too many times.

[Ep46] Liu Yi Huan wants Si Feng to forget Xuan Ji but he’s willing to die for her. He knows she has to live through ten lives to rid her Mo Sha Xing life and he’s willing to sacrifice his life for her to complete her ten tribulations.

Xuan Ji rejects the marriage with Hao Chen. He says he will cancel it but he is a sly one...

Liu Yi Huan knows Si Feng is not Mo Sha Xing. Xiao Yin Hua also knows this. She returns to Si Feng but she’s sad that he only treats her like a pet. She asks him to look at her like a woman. He can’t so instead he gives her freedom.

Si Feng and Wu Zhi Qi work together to catch Yuan Lang. Unfortunately it requires using Xuan Ji. Although the three of them (including Purple Fox) coolly catch Yuan Lang in his own trap, Xuan Ji continues to be fooled by Si Feng. Hopefully, she’ll know how much Si Feng loves her soon

[Ep47] Yuan Lang doesn’t die. He can split his body so if one body dies he still has another body. Wow, that's annoying. He runs off to Shao Yang tribe’s 'Liu Li Zhan'. Wu Tong and Ruo Yu (who are working for Yuan Lang) are also in Shao Yang. They bump into Zhong Min Yan. Wu Tong realizes he’s marrying Ling Long. They battle each other. Wu Tong wants him dead so that Ling Long will be his. Wu Tong almost kills Zhong Min Yan. He's now unconscious.

Si Feng and Wu Zhi Qi, well mostly Si Feng, finish off Yuan Lang and Liu Li Zhan. With Yuan Lang dead, Si Feng can finally clear his name. Except Hao Chen is a b!tch. He makes it look like Si Feng was killing him when Si Feng wanted to save him. Everyone believes the oh so good Hao Chen. Si Feng's 'crimes' are sealed when Hao Chen dies. Even in death he has to be this annoying. Xuan Ji can’t believe him anymore no matter what he says. She pierces her sword into him.

Xuan Ji: Yu Si Feng, I regret knowing you.

She regrets everything about him. Si Feng's memories of her disappear in his mind. She takes the sword out. More blood oozing out.

Si Feng: Chu Xuan Ji, I finally understand why nine lives ended like that, at the end you’re just a person without heart.

Even then Si Feng still cares about Xuan Ji. He realizes there’s something off with Hao Chen’s orders to destroy Liuli Zhan. Xuan Ji will be consumed by Mo Sha Xing while trying to destroy it. Si Feng who has just barely recovered is once again trying to save Xuan Ji. Teng She tells him the one way she can save Xuan Ji is for him to destroy it in her place. Si Feng begs Wu Zhi Qi to help him. Wu Zhi Qi is already super peeved about the righteous sect blaming Si Feng for everything and now he has to risk Si Feng's life to save Xuan Ji. He's not willing to but Si Feng looks utterly devastated. So desperate. My poor Si Feng. Thus Si Feng consumes the nucleic powers of Liuli Zhan to prevent Xuan Ji from awakening her Mo Sha Xing. Xuan Ji faints over. She has no idea what Si Feng did for her. Si Feng also orders Teng She to not tell her any of this. Maaaaaan, does Si Feng want Xuan Ji back or not? He's making his own love life so miserable.  The other sect members also have no intention of telling Xuan Ji how much Si Feng sacrificed for her. They're still blind. An injured Si Feng leaves with Wu Zhi Qi. Chu Lei orders people to go after him because who knows what a half dead man who just saved his daughter and the entire righteous sect could do. UGH. Teng She gives an earful to the righteous sect that if Si Feng had wanted to kill them you lot wouldn't be standing still here perfectly unscathed. I LOVE TENG SHE. He's like the audience member in the drama yelling at every idiot on the screen. So refreshing.

Si Feng plans to hand over his leadership of Li Ze Gong. Liu Yi Huan prevents that. He knows what So Feng wants. Once he leaves all his duties behind, he can find a lonely place to wait for his death. Liu Yi Huan won’t allow that.

[Ep48**] After saving Xuan Ji from the 'thing' last episode, Si Feng has absorbed this nucleic power that can take over the sky and waters (I'm so done with these impossible things to translate). He tries to explain to Liu Yi Huan why he has to leave Li Ze Gong but Liu Yi Huan interrupts him and finishes his thoughts: he's afraid that one day he cannot control this nucleic power and if someone with ulterior motives comes across it then they'll use it against Xuan Ji to turn her into this brainless demon and thus he has to die far far away. Si Feng says he's not that idiotic. His heart has gone cold for Xuan Ji anyways. Liu Yi Huan continues to jeer at him. He dares Si Feng to take the Forget Pill his father left for him. Si Feng holds onto the bottle with a complicated expression. He ain't gonna take it

Xuan Ji wakes up. Ling Long lies that it was dad who sealed that thing; it had nothing to do with Si Feng. Teng She barely lies through that one. He just changes the topic.

Xuan Ji sees the jade and realizes the one who sealed it was Si Feng and he was the one who saved her. Teng She points out to her how Si Feng isn't Mo Sha Xing and technically no one saw him kill anyone. Teng She believes that she needs to talk to Si Feng. She too believes that but Dad stops her to tell her that Li Ze Gong has disbanded.

Ling Long is off to kill Wu Tong to avenge Zhong Min Yan who is unconscious. In the worst case scenario, Ling Long plans to die with him. Xuan Ji tries to stop Ling Long but she cries in her arms that Zhong Min Yan and her promised to die together. Xuan Ji remembers that she too made those vows with Si Feng. Xuan Ji asks herself what she has been doing this entire time.

Now then, how do I explain the rest of this fight when I don't understand it myself. Hm. Here goes. After the fight between Wu Tong and Ling Long, she then suddenly doesn't want to die with him anymore. They're about to be sucked into this black-hole vortex-like thing. Xuan Ji who has been idling the whole time in the background comes to save her. That's when Wu Tong lets her go and pushes her towards Xuan Ji so that Ling Long will be safe. At least that's my interpretation of Wu Tong's actions. He stalled in front of the blackhole that was sucking them in to wait until Xuan Ji appeared. The two who are sucked in are Wu Tong and Xuan Ji (Ling Long is safe). Xuan Ji drops into this water, it's the Forgotten Well (?) that will make those who are about to die forget their past. Ironically, she starts remembering her previous ten lives and right before she dies as the Warrior God. When she was chained up and punished by all the gods, it was Si Feng who flew in with his golden wings to protect her. It was Si Feng who sent her to the human realm so that the gods couldn't punish her anymore. He was then attacked from the back – spits out blood once more – and falls into the human realm with her.

Si Feng: I will go with you. I will use my life to save you, resolve your demonic aura and rectify the wrongs the celestial palace has accused you of.

Before entering the human realm, the gods have to drink this water that makes them forget they were gods. The other gods who were dying with her asked her why she hadn't cried. Void of emotions, she replied it's just a boring life anyways. Then a man behind her said that forgetting her previous life is good too. When Xuan Ji turned around, that voice belonged to Si Feng.

Teng She saves Xuan Ji from the Forgotten Well. Her memories continue to flood in. When she was a Warrior God, she had a phoenix friend. She asks him when she can stop fighting in wars, she's tired of it. The phoenix casts gold dust on her and changes her outfit to a pretty blue one in an instant. Maybe that's why she likes blue. When each god betrayed her it was only Si Feng who was with her. He stayed with her in the human realm, and each time she forgot him, but each time he came back to love her all the same if not more. Xuan Ji finally realizes there's no way Si Feng can ever betray her.

Zhong Min Yan is saved by Ting Nu. This annoying righteous sect, if they're going to hate Si Feng and all demons, why get a demon to save them. Chu Lei is still skeptical of Si Feng even though he disbanded his sect. Ugh. Everyone starts learning the truth about Si Feng and his goodness. Liu Yi Huan tells Xuan Ji the truth about Hao Chen and how he accused Si Feng. He also reveals Si Feng had experienced the second 'Lover's Curse' from the mask. This is the first time Xuan Ji has heard of this. Liu Yi Huan has had enough of her who knows absolutely nothing but Ting Nu convinces him to tell Xuan Ji everything.

Liu Yi Huan: This man (who has his life on a thread if he falls in love with you) needed to have so much courage and determination to give you his life and he gave you his everything. Because of that the Lover's Curse has already plagued him twice. One more time and he will die. If you cut ties with him, then he can keep his life. This episode makes me cry buckets. I'm also happy she knows everything now but it's still so heart wrenching

[Ep49] Xuan Ji enters the empty Li Ze Gong. Only Purple Fox and Wu Zhi Qi are there. Wu Zhi Qi tells her that Si Feng had ordered him to not tell anyone his whereabouts and he has taken the Forgotten Pill. He gives her a pill of his own. It's a pill that can let her hide her presence in the three realms. He had also given one to Si Feng thus finding him is that much harder.

Teng She accidentally opens the grenade-like item that Si Feng gave Xuan Ji. It held the secret that Si Feng was a demon. Xuan Ji realizes Si Feng never thought of hiding his demon form from her. Xuan Ji is getting all her retributions these two episodes for all the heartbreak she has given Si Feng.

Ruo Yu and Xiao Yin Hua meet. Ruo Yu had used the last feather of Yuan Lang to figure out the whereabouts of his sister but when he does find her it's too late, his sister dies. However, because Ruo Yu saved Yuan Lang's feather, Yuan Lan survived. So annoying!

Xuan Ji asks her dad to accept her love for Si Feng. Although she is the Warrior God, in this lifetime she only wants to be a normal human; she wants to experience a normal life, and Si Feng is the person she wants to grow old with. If she finds Si Feng and her father still doesn't accept him, then Xuan Ji is willing to never step foot into Shaoyang again. Dad assures her that Shaoyang will always be her home.

Xuan Ji begins her quest to search for Si Feng. She bids farewell to everyone. She suggests annulling her pet-owner contract with Teng She. Teng She throws a fit. Aw, he's so lovable. Together with Teng She, Xuan Ji learns even more of what Si Feng has done for her. The hotel employee says he remembers Si Feng in particular because Si Feng hired their top chef to teach him how to cook for this particularly picky eater (ahem, Xuan Ji). Xuan Ji continues to search everywhere for Si Feng but he's nowhere in sight. Teng She suggests they find Liu Yi Huan to use his third eye.

Liu Yi Huan is stubborn but when Teng She mentions how he gave himself another chance to be a good father, why can't he give another chance to Xuan Ji to give Si Feng happiness? Liu Yi Huan finally gives Xuan Ji a hint on his whereabouts. As she runs off to find him, Liu Yi Huan remembers what Si Feng had told him: Si Feng wants to find the herb that can control the nucleus and he's also given up on having a happy ending with Xuan Ji or so he says.

[Ep50: The Reunion] Teng She has eaten them poor. Out of money, Xuan Ji decides to fight off demons at this hotel to earn money. They meet Ah Lan, who doesn't want their help. She's waiting for her Mr. Yi to help her. Guess who Mr. Yi is. It's Si Feng! That night Xuan Ji had cried that it's been almost two years but she hasn't seen him at all. Girl, he's right there! The next morning, she smells the special tea that Si Feng always drinks. Xuan Ji is brimming with hope she'll find Si Feng in this city.

Xuan Ji has a feeling Mr. Yi is Si Feng. She finds a garden full of blue flowers. She reminisces how she had told Si Feng her favourite colour is blue when she first regained her colour vision. Xuan Ji finally finds proof that Si Feng is here in the pearl that he always uses for money. However, when she finds him Si Feng is marrying An Lan. Xuan Ji doesn't know they're pretending to marry to lure out a demon. When Si Feng and Xuan Ji finally see each other, she can barely move towards him. Si Feng manages to stay emotionless and says he doesn't recognize her. My heart is in pain for these two. He continues the fake marriage with Ah Lan and even puts his mother's hairpin in her hair.

The wedding hoax is soon revealed. Xuan Ji realizes he's lying. She begs Si Feng to forgive her. Si Feng continues the cold front. He has one request from her: to stay away from him as far as possible. He's treating her like this because he's protecting her from his nucleus. Their conversation is interrupted by the demon who has captured Ah Lan.

[Ep51: The Make Up] Xuan Ji explains to Si Feng she never wanted to kill him, not for one moment. He doesn't believe her (or I think he doesn't want to believe her). He tells her to leave and that it's over between them. Xuan Ji has tears in her eyes but she won't leave. Each lifetime he told her to remember him, now that she does, she won't let go of him no matter what. He gives her the last blow: if she continues to hold onto him, the person who will die is him. Xuan Ji's hands drop away from his. However, our lovely Teng She reminds her that if Si Feng truly wanted to stop loving her, he would have ingested the Forget Pill. Since he didn’t, that already shows how much he loves her. Teng She argues that whether or not she's physically there with Si Feng, the Lover's Curse will still pain him so she might as well be there with him to the end. Right now is the perfect chance to show him her sincerity and not to be in a downcast. Xuan Ji compliments Teng She's cleverness. Xuan Ji, it's you who is dumb

Xuan Ji and Teng She barge into Si Feng's home and shamelessly stay. Si Feng pulls Teng She aside. Teng She knows exactly why he's here (to control the nucleus to protect Xuan Ji). He also tells Si Feng that the gods are after her. Now that Xuan Ji is in Si Feng's care, Teng She leaves to tend to business at the celestial palace. Teng She can't let his wifey-dragon suffer alone.

Xuan Ji tries to cook for Si Feng but she ends up burning herself. He's restraining himself from caring for her but in the end he still does. She cutely asks him to apply the ointment for her but Ah Lan interrupts. From An Lan's sleeves, the hairpin drops. Xuan Ji thought she had lost it but it was with Si Feng all along. Si Feng reminds her that it was her who abandoned the hairpin and ended their relationship. She tries to explain that she didn't. Si Feng has heard enough. He wants her to leave. Xuan Ji continues to be shameless and plops down on the floor. A small smile is about to escape from Si Feng's lips. Keep going, Xuan Ji. You're so close! He finally lets her stay but he reminds her it's not good for her maiden reputation if she stays. Xuan Ji happily says, "Then marry me!" Si Feng isn't smiling but he is smiling, I totally see it. He gets up to prepare medication for her. When he's back, Xuan Ji is already fast asleep on his bed. While she's sleeping, he takes care of her burn (when he himself is suffering from his own dire health).

Next morning, Ah Lan is here to pick herbs with Si Feng. They leave together. A hobbling Xuan Ji runs after them. She trips and falls. Ah Lan doesn't like how Xuan Ji is trailing them. When they turn around again, Xuan Ji is gone. She went chasing after this pair of butterflies. Si Feng looks either a little disappointed that Xuan Ji left or worried that she left on her hobbling leg. Ah Lan, although happy she's gone, she wonders out loud about Xuan Ji's injured leg. This makes Si Feng worried ever more worried.

Xuan Ji runs after the butterfly towards the edge of a cliff. He thinks she's jumping off of it and tries to stop her until he realizes she's after the butterflies. He angrily walks away and reminds her that if she continues to stay, he'll die. Her response is this:

Xuan Ji: If you will die then I will stay with you. Don't think you can avoid me – she slices her hand with a sword – From now on whenever your poison acts up then I'll slice myself with this sword. If you're in pain, I'll be in pain with you. If you are to die, then I'll die with you."
Si Feng tries to contain his anger: Can you not use your life as a joke?

Xuan Ji isn't joking. It's because he doesn't believe her that she had to go to this extent. She already spent more than 500 nights looking for him. If he still wants to leave then so be it. She'll just follow him and wait for him for the next ten or twenty years until he believes her.

Si Feng says it doesn't matter whether he believes her or not. It's already too late. He tells her to continue searching for her butterflies. Xuan Ji explains that those weren't ordinary butterflies. She had heard that if a couple wishes upon those butterflies, they can be happy together for a lifetime. Xuan Ji tears up because she couldn't catch them. Si Feng replies that it just means they're not meant to be. Xuan Ji doesn't believe it. He tells her that if she doesn't leave, then he'll leave. Xuan Ji will wait for him then. He says he won't come back for her. Then she'll just wait until he does even if it means she'll have to wait forever. He staggers in his stance. Because of his Lover's Curse? I feel like I'm the one with the Lover's Curse, my heart is hurting for these two. It's actually hurting. She tries to hold him but he shakes her off. He tells her, "Then wait forever."

Xuan Ji waits at his doorsteps in the rain the entire night. He's at this spa to heal his body. However, Xuan Ji thinks he's left for good. He hasn't. He's still around her. He hears her confessing her love for him but he can't approach her because he doesn't know how many days he has left. He leaves her, hoping she'll forget him. She doesn't. She continues to wait for him out in the snow. She refuses to wait in the house. Days have gone by and Xuan Ji faints over. Si Feng finally shows up. He can no longer bear to see her suffering for him.
When Xuan Ji wakes up she tightly holds onto Si Feng. She doesn't want him to leave even if it's just for him to get the medicine for her. She tells him she used to not know fear but now she's terrified to lose him, terrified he wouldn't come back for her. The nine lives he died for her, it's not that she didn't love him, she did. She just loved him too late.
Xuan Ji cries and pleads: Can you wait for me, just for a bit? Just a bit?
Si Feng grabs her for a hugOmg finally
Si Feng: Xuan Ji, I've waited for you for a long time. You're a bit late. I really was mad. But when you found me, I really was happy.
Xuan Ji cries as she hugs him: Then why did you keep pushing me away? Why did you keep saying such harsh words to me?

[Ep52] Si Feng said those words because he was scared. He wanted Xuan Ji to find him but he also wanted her to not find him. He's afraid his happiness will end like bubbles and disappear into nothing. Just like all the other times. This man has a legit reason to be scared. But now he's thought it through. He doesn't need to be with her forever but at least they can be happy for however long they have. Xuan Ji pulls back from the hug and promises she'll definitely help him remove the Lover's Curse.
Xuan Ji kisses Si Feng. She climbs over him and kisses him some more. She works her way down and opens his shirt. She kisses his chest and notices the marking on his chest has disappeared. When she asks him why, Si Feng laughs. It's because the Lover's Curse is lifted. She removed it with her true love. The loving look she gives him is so pretty. Si Feng pulls her in for a deep kiss. But they don't go all the way. Si Feng doesn't think he has many days left, he doesn't want to ruin her. So they don't do it. They only stay up together all night. Bummer. Why is Si Feng even caring about that now? And that scene of him thinking about this was so awkward, lol. He gives her the hairpin back. He tells her he only asked Ah Lan to repair it for him. Xuan Ji tells him he can't give it to any other woman, even if it's just for repair.

Xuan Ji finds out about Si Feng's health. He assures her he'll be fine once the mushroom grows. This mushroom can control the nucleus in his body. Xuan Ji hugs him that from now on it's her turn to protect him. If all goes well in three days' time, the mushroom will be ready and they'll make it in time for Chu Lei's birthday. At that time, he plans to ask for her hand from her father. He teases her that it was her who asked him to marry her when she shamelessly stayed in his hut.

Not all hope is lost for Si Feng as long as Yuan Lang doesn't mess things up... Yuan Lang doesn't have a physical body to steal the mushroom so he fools Xiao Yin Hua to destroy it. She innocently believes she can use these bugs to annul her pet-owner relationship then Si Feng will see her as a woman. Xuan Ji is against this because that will put more wear on his tired body but Si Feng agrees to give Xiao Yin Hua her freedom. Si Feng warns her that if she breaks this contract she will suffer retribution for it. And she does. She is struck by lightning. Her body can barely handle it and there's two more strikes. Ruo Yu takes the second strike for her. Si Feng takes the third strike for her.

The gods have stolen back the third eye from Yuan Lang to find Xuan Ji. The Dragon God (Qing Long) wants Teng She to break his pet-owner contract with Xuan Ji otherwise he would be in danger too. He wants to save Teng She. This hubby and wifey couple

[Ep53] Xiao Yin Hua is used by Yuan Lang. The bugs she conveniently found ate up Si Feng's mushroom. Xuan Ji is devastated. Si Feng comforts Xuan Ji that he can die with no regret now. He's blessed enough that her heart has him. Si Feng wants her to live well. Yuan Lang offers Xuan Ji another way to save Si Feng. If she opens Liu Li Zhan and unlocks Mo Sha Xing it will free the nucleus from Si Feng's body and thus he can be saved. That's the last thing Si Feng wants Xuan Ji to do because she'll realize she's Mo Sha Xing.

Xiao Yin Hua apologizes for her idiocy. Si Feng isn't angry with her. It's Xuan Ji who hates her. She threatens Xiao Yin Hua if she follows them one more step, she'll kill her. However, it's the Gods who are now blocking her path home with Si Feng. It's four against two. Teng She is fighting alongside Xuan Ji but Xuan Ji doesn't want Teng She in danger so she summons her pet back into her palms. She transforms into Warrior God. Luckily, Wu Zhi Qi arrives. He's seeking revenge on whoever injured his precious Purple Fox.

Xiao Yin Hua is dying. She wants to be next to Si Feng in her last moments like when she was young. She's the one who wanted to break the contract and now she wants to be his pet again. Omggggg. She dies. What is all this for? Why put Si Feng's life on the line for this plot? So Xuan Ji has no other way but to become Mo Sha Xing to save Si Feng. Sigh

Ting Nu is here. He tells everyone Si Feng only has a month left to live and there is no other way to cure him except for awakening Mo Sha Xing. Xuan Ji is willing to possibly bring chaos to the three realms to save Si Feng. I think she also innately believes Mo Sha Xing isn't as evil as what everyone is telling her since her last "meeting" with Mo Sha Xing in Liu Li Zhan. Si Feng is willing to give up the only way he can live to stop Xuan Ji from awakening the Mo Sha Xing in herself. Si Feng convinces Xuan Ji to not awaken Mo Sha Xing but Xuan Ji still wants to return to Shaoyang. There's something really important she needs to do when she goes home with him. Si Feng guesses "Marry me?' Xuan Ji nods. He grabs her in for a hug but he's also aware his days are numbered. She hugs onto him tightly despite him pushing her away. She tells him he's the only one she will ever marry so he has to marry her. He smiles and agrees.

Teng She tries to make Xuan Ji break their contract. Xuan Ji doesn't want to. Teng She leaves anyway. Wu Zhi Qi comforts Xuan Ji that it's Teng She's way of protecting her. The gods will use him to locate Xuan Ji.

[Ep54] Xuan Ji and Si Feng return to Shao Yang. They plan to ask her dad for his approval on their marriage. That's the overall plan but Wu Zhi Qi and Xuan Ji are secretly plotting to destroy Liuli Zhan to save Si Feng.

Ling Long and Zhong Min Yan give Xuan Ji and Si Feng a big warm welcome. They apologize to Si Feng. Si Feng accepts their apology. What a nice guy you are, Si Feng. Dad and other sect members aren’t as welcoming though. Chu Lei hesitates to agree to the marriage. He doesn’t want her daughter to suffer under rumours of being married to a demon. Xuan Ji confidently tells dad that Si Feng will be the only man she’ll ever marry.

Bai Lin punishes Teng She by locking him up. However, Jing Long frees him so that Teng She can save Xuan Ji. He knows that if Xuan Ji dies then Teng She will die too because the contract is still there. Jing Long wants to protect his hubby.

Si Feng finds out Xuan Ji is planning to open Liuli Zhan. He stops her. He tells her that if she opens it, she’ll have to go over his dead body.

The sky has changed and when that happens we all know an awesome fight will happen. Teng She arrives to warn the Shaoyang sect to escape because Bai Lin is planning to destroy all of them along with Xuan Ji. However, Bai Lin recaptures Teng She. Shaoyang tribe doesn't escape in time. With his holy voice, Bai Lin reveals himself as the holy god. Xuan Ji finally learns Hao Chen and Bai Lin are one and the same. He’s the man who tortured her.

Bai Lin attacks everyone with a deadly weapon. Xuan Ji is about to succumb under the immense power. Si Feng appears with his magnificent golden wings and saves everyone. Unfortunately, his life is shortened even more. There’s another blood spitting moment for Si Feng. Si Feng begs Xuan Ji to not open Liuli Zhan. That’s when Yuan Lang appears and says she must unseal Liuli Zhan because the evil demon who’s sealed is actually herself. She is Mo Sha Xin. All of Si Feng’s sacrifices for her are revealed. She also realizes she was used by Bai Lin/Hao Chen all along. What is Bai Lin's purpose? For the peace of The Three Realms. So sick of this. Bai Lin aims to kill Si Feng first. Xuan Ji won’t let that happen. They’re sucked into a tornado where she's in the middle of Si Feng and the Liuli Zhan. She’s recovering the nucleus from his body to unseal Liuli Zhan.

Xuan Ji: If I become a demon, don’t forget me. Please find me again. Si Feng will never forget Xuan Ji. Si Feng will not be Si Feng without Xuan Ji

Xuan Ji unseals Liuli Zhan. Her memories as Mo Sha Xin awakens. She's sucked into the vase and disappears. When she reappears, she's no longer the Xuan Ji we all know. She is now a man. His name is Lou Hou Ji Du. S/he was poisoned by Bai Lin and Bai Lin took his soul to create the Warrior God. So Si Feng was in love with a man all along? LOL. When Ji Du moves forward, Si Feng grabs onto him asking for Xuan Ji. He conjures up Si Feng’s hairpin and throws it at Si Feng. Ji Du tells everyone Xuan Ji is gone for good.

[Ep55] Si Feng is determined to find Xuan Ji even if she’s currently a demonic man right now. I actually like how Si Feng’s love for her transcends gender and being. However, I don’t know how I can handle it when I see the two men on screen loving each other when one of them is supposed to be my Xuan Ji!

Ji Du is back with a vengeance against The Three Realms and Bai Lin. He’s gathered all the demons to draw a war against the celestial palace. Si Feng is within this demon group. He's not here to enlist in the army, he just wants to find traces of Xuan Ji in the current Ji Du. We finally do see Xuan Ji but her soul is trapped inside Ji Du. Ji Du flinches when Xuan Ji slams the invisible walls blocking her from interacting with the world. Si Feng sees Xuan Ji flash in his eyes. Xuan Ji then takes over Ji Du. Si Feng holds his/her hands and tells him/her he doesn’t care what her appearance is. Oh my. However Ji Du was only pretending to be Xuan Ji. Si Feng figures it out almost immediately. When Ji Du tries to attack Si Feng, Xuan Ji stops him internally.

War has begun. Purple Fox takes a fatal attack to protect Wu Zhi Qi. He’s fighting in the war because he can’t accept the gods for hurting his fox. Now that she’s dying, she begs him to step out of the war. He agrees. She has another request: kiss her. He kisses her forehead and soon she dies in his arms. Her last words to him are “I love you” as she vanishes into thin air. Now that she's gone, he finally admits that she is beautiful, very beautiful. Too late, buddy

Wu Zhi Qi does one more thing before he leaves Ji Du's army: he frees Si Feng who’s imprisoned by Ji Du. However, they're caught by Ji Du again. He tries to kill Si Feng but Wu Zhi Qi is willing to put his life on the line for his brother. Ji Du admires their brotherly love and so he offers them freedom if they can take three of his attacks. Si Feng and Wu Zhi Qi hold hands to take the last blow. Suddenly, Xuan Ji appears (in Ji Du). Because of her presence that’s weakening Ji Du's will to kill Si Feng, the brothers overcome the last attack. However, Si Feng chooses to stay. He can't leave, especially not after seeing Xuan Ji.

Si Feng makes a bet with Ji Du: if he can awaken Xuan Ji within three days, Ji Du will allow Si Feng to speak with Xuan Ji. If he fails then Si Feng will tell him where the rest of his golden winged clan is. Thus begins Si Feng’s seduction of Ji Du. LMAO. Si Feng is now the maid of Ji Du. He smiles whenever he sees Ji Du eating the food he prepared for him. Omg lol

Whacko theory: technically Xuan Ji is either asexually reproduced by Ji Du or 'sexually' (lol) by Di Jun and Bai Lin.... If it’s the latter, it explains Bai Lin’s obsession with Xuan Ji to be fatherly (she is his creation after all) but then that would be totally disgusting when I think back to how Hao Chen tried to marry her. My out of whack theory is over.

[Ep56] Ji Du pretends to be Xuan Ji again. Si Feng falls for it this time. I laughed more than I wanted to because of these two men. Poor Ji Du has to pretend to be Xuan Ji, hahaha. Kudos to this actor for coming in late in the game and delivering splendidly. I appreciate the drama for not keeping the two men in the same frame while they were holding each other's hands. When Ji Du tries to kill Si Feng after receiving the information he wanted, Xuan Ji once again interrupts his consciousness. Xuan Ji is back! She really is. They hug but she tells him to leave immediately. Si Feng reminds her that they promised to die together. He won't leave her no matter what. Xuan Ji loses control and Ji Du returns.

Ji Du tries to convince Xuan Ji who's inside him that she should join his revenge plan because she suffered from Bai Lin too. Meanwhile Si Feng continues to convince Ji Du that with Xuan Ji within him, he will not be able to exact his revenge because Xuan Ji won't do that. Thus, Ji Du transforms into Xuan Ji's body and shows Si Feng all the scars on her bare shoulders alone.

Ji Du takes Si Feng on a memory trip. Bai Lin is at war with the demons a thousand years ago. Ji Du suggests to Bai Lin to have one of their gods marry one of their demons so that they can help him out at war. Bai Lin strongly opposes. The gods cannot form an alliance with mere demons. Thus, Bai Lin turns Ji Du into a god first by poisoning him, then killing his heart, and finally creating the Warrior God from him. Bai Lin...is pure evil. This is why Xuan Ji had no memories of her past when she was the Warrior God. This is why Xuan Ji had no heart.
Si Feng walks up to Xuan Ji and covers her up. He hugs her. He tells her if he had known sooner, he would have appeared in her life earlier. Ji Du (with Xuan Ji's form) shakes him off and returns to his normal form. Si Feng makes a deal with Ji Du that he'll travel to the realm of the gods to convince Bai Lin to speak with Ji Du. If he manages to create peace, then he wants Ji Du to free Xuan Ji.

With the help of our lovable Teng She, Si Feng is able to meet Bai Lin. However, they fight, Bai Lin recognizes there's something off about Si Feng so he uses his godly eyes to check his identity. He's Xi Xuan. He is The Emperor's son. It was the Emperor who sent Xuan Ji and Si Feng to ten lives of tribulation (instead of keeping the Warrior God chained up). The Emperor recognizes that it was the gods who had wronged Xuan Ji first. Okay, so why punish her? And your own son? And not Bai Lin?

[Ep57] Si Feng regains all his memories as his godly self. He tries to convince Bai Lin to talk it out peacefully with Ji Du. But this guy continues to run off about his Three Realm's Peace. Yatta, yatta, yatta. Si Feng bets on his life that Ji Du will arrive with peace. Bai Lin takes him up on this offer and if Ji Du harbours any ill intentions then Bai Lin will take Si Feng's life just as he promised.

Si Feng asks his friends for help. He needs them (Liu Yi Huan, Zhong Min Yan, and Ling Long) to find Wu Zhi Qi to take them to see the godly Emperor, his father. It took a bit of convincing to get Wu Zhi Qi out of his depression, but eventually he does it for his brother, Si Feng. Ruo Yu also joins the pact. He promised Xiao Yin Hua he would help. He is useful though. To get across the lake to see the Emperor, they need the feathers of the Gold Winged tribe to stay afloat. Ruo Yu gives up his precious feathers for the cause. Liu Yi Huan managed to escape that one when Wu Zhi Qi was aiming to strip him of his feathers, lol. There's one challenge after another but as a team (and Wu Zhi Qi's awesomeness), they overcome them all.

Bai Lin will be Bai Lin. Dirty and evil. He attacks Si Feng and Ji Du when they arrive defenseless. But then they're idiots to enter the enemy's territory without any back up plan. Oh wait. Si Feng did have one. Hopefully, Wu Zhi Qi and them manage to do their part.

[Ep58] Ji Du falls into the Forgetting Well and remembers his life as the Warrior God. He's even more determined to destroy Bai Lin and his world. War has erupted. Ji Du is set on destroying the Three Realms. Wu Zhi Qi and the group have arrived to meet the Emperor. He's busy playing Go. Dude, the world is about to be destroyed! Ling Long thinks outside the box and changes every single piece into black to make the Emperor lose the game. The Emperor is convinced to help them so off they go.

With a few magical glints to the forehead from the Emperor, Bai Lin realizes how wrong he was. We waited 59 episodes for this magical forehead glint to fix everything. The Emperor showed him what would have happened if he never poisoned Ji Du: The Three Realms would have been peaceful. Bai Lin accepts his punishment and offers to give up all his cultivation. Teng She begs Bai Lin to stop. Why? Teng She likes him? Why? Bai Lin persists he should be punished. Thank you. His hair turns white. He's no longer a god. The Emperor asks Ji Du if that will appease his anger. Ji Du: Nope. His punishment now does not revert all the wrongs he's done to him in the past. Very true. With Yuan Luan egging him on, Ji Du commits to turning over the pot of chaos to destroy the Three Realms. However, when Yuan Lang says Si Feng had betrayed him all along when he brought him here to see Bai Lin, Ji Du turns his attack onto Yuan Lang. Anyone can betray him, but not Si Feng. He spent ten lives trying to touch his heart. Uh technically...Si Feng was trying to touch Xuan Ji's heart, not you Ji Du, lol. Thus, Yuan Lang decides to attack the pot of chaos himself. He wants to be the ruler of The Three Realms. I don't get it. If he's destroying the world, how is he going to rule it?

[Ep59] Si Feng protects the pot from overturning. He can't let this world be destroyed because he wants to protect his memories with Xuan Ji. Yuan Lang fatally strikes him in the heart. Ji Du reaches out to Si Feng. When he's at Si Feng's side, he's in Xuan Ji's form. She tells him she doesn't want him dead. Si Feng, who's spitting more blood, tells her he made a bet with Bai Lin. He knows that she wouldn't destroy the Three Realms because her heart won't allow it. Xuan Ji's heart was warmed by him bit by bit in their ten lives together. Sniffle. He knows her heart better than anyone. What is Emperor Dad doing? Watching everything again? Xuan Ji tries to save him but Si Feng stops her; it's useless, his heart is already severely injured.

Si Feng: It was worth it, my heart recovered your heart. Xuan Ji, look over the Three Realms because it has a lot of our memories. As long as this world exists then our memories will always exist. Can you hear me Xuan Ji? Through these ten lives, I lived happily because I met you every time. Omg, omg, omg, omg

Si Feng's hands drop. He dies. Xuan Ji's Ji Du mark on her forehead disappears. Xuan Ji is truly back but it's all too late.

Xuan Ji vows to kill Yuan Lang but Ruo Yu attempts to kill him first. Unfortunately, he dies when Yuan Lang pushes him into the pot. Xuan Ji gives the last blow to destroy Yuan Lang once and for all. He's finally dead. The pot is still tipping over. The floor rumbles. The Emperor is standing there. Omg, this guy is just enjoying the show...!! He doesn't know how nervous I am about the pot..!! Xuan Ji asks him for help and he slowly but surely tilts the pot upright. The Three Realms are safe.

Xuan Ji looks at the sleeping Si Feng: Si Feng, I saved the Three Realms. Look at me. Please look.

Bai Lin asks Xuan Ji for forgiveness. Xuan Ji doesn't care about her hate for him anymore. This lifetime she met Si Feng, her everything. She has no room for hatred. That's when Ji Du leaves her body or Ji Du gives Xuan Ji her own body. I honestly don't know. Ji Du gives Si Feng a piece of the Liuli Zhan to be his heart, which means he's giving Si Feng his heart. By the way, Liu Li is the Chinese title which means Coloured Glazed glass. I'm going to treat this Liuli Zhan/Heart as an organ without feelings. It's super creepy to think that Xuan Ji, who is 'produced' from Ji Du, loves a man, who has the heart of Ji Du. Then this is really asexual reproduction... I don't want to trek into this territory

Now that Ji Du is without his heart and without his body, he is to die. Before his death, he offers Bai Lin the same drink he had offered him a thousand years ago. Ji Du drank his but Bai Lin never drank his. Bai Lin accepts the poisonous wine. It's the last thing he can do for the wrongs he has done. Both men die together (to be reborn again?).

Now that Si Feng and the world will be safe, all the other people start asking the Emperor about their greatest worries. Liu Yi Huan asks about his daughter's whereabouts. Wu Zhi Qi asks about Purple Fox. Zhong Min Yan and Ling Long have nothing to ask. They just want to go home together. Teng She is still sad about Bai Lin. Why? Xuan Ji tells Teng She she'll always welcome him.

Wu Zhi Qi finds Purple Fox before she drinks the Forgetting Water. They hug each other. It looks like a happy ending for them but I don't know how it's going to work. Is he just going to take her before she enters her reincarnation? I don't get it. Gods can do that? Meanwhile, Liu Yi Huan finds his daughter.

Si Feng is alive but he's not awake. He's been sleeping through spring, autumn, and winter. Xuan Ji feeds him water through her mouth. One day when she's back from picking her favourite blue flowers, Si Feng is no longer in his bed. Xuan Ji frantically looks for him everywhere. He's on the roof (watching her looking for him). He floats down and she immediately hugs him.

Xuan Ji: I knew you would be back!
Si Feng: You're here, how can I not come back?

Immediately after the hug, she drags Si Feng to meet her father so they can marry. Dad approves. They're to be married. On the day of the marriage, a little kid gives Xuan Ji a present. It's a box full of pearls. It's from Ting Nu. Hey, why didn't drama include Ting Nu on the voyage to find the Emperor?

At the wedding Si Feng gives Xuan Ji a love confession. The way it was worded was truly beautiful. It is hard to translate it with the same eloquence it had in Chinese. He loved her for ten whole lifetimes with zero hope of receiving anything back from her but he loved her no less. Si Feng sings the OST here. Si Feng takes Xuan Ji in his arms. They leave in a golden phoenix carriage and fly their way home. Wow. He really is the Emperor's son.  When they arrive home, Si Feng continues to carry her to bed. Her feet haven't touched the ground at all. He continues to stare at her. I suddenly remember Si Feng's favourite colour is red because of Xuan Ji's wedding dress. The entire time Xuan Ji still has her veil on. She wants him to blow out the candles. Si Feng refuses. He has been waiting for this day for ten lives. He wants to see every moment of her and every part of her
Xuan Ji stutters: Then I won't change my clothes
Si Feng smiles and takes her hand: This matter is something I should do for you. HE. HE. HE.

He finally lifts her veil.
Xuan Ji tells him how lucky she is to meet a person she can give up everything for.
Si Feng smiles as he holds her face: You just said you'll give me everything. His eyes gleam seductively. Don't regret that. He puts their foreheads together. For a lifetime. Forever. Again, whenever Si Feng says 'lifetime', 'forever' and 'ten lives', it sounds a lot better in Chinese.

They kiss and the night is theirs alone.

Three years later. Ling Long is pregnant. There's a party. Si Feng and Xuan Ji are having a baby shower. Ting Nu is also among the guests. He's accepted by the sect leaders now. Teng She shows up as well. We've got them all at this party: humans, demons, and angels. While Xuan Ji is busy drinking alcohol, Si Feng is babysitting. Ha

In the last scene is Xuan Ji hugging Si Feng. Xuan Ji thinks back to the Emperor's word (when she left with the unconscious Si Feng) that since she was born spontaneously, her life will be written by herself – whether she wants to be a god or a human is her choice. I think she chose to be a human but that doesn't mean she can't be a goddess afterwards

The end.
These two have eternity together.
SOOOOOO HAPPY.

Remarks

[First Impression (Ep1-6)] By chance I saw a trailer of this last year (I barely ever watch trailers) and I’ve been waiting for this since then. I’m low-key excited about this. But I’m trying to suppress my expectations, especially when there's at least fifty more episodes to go. I’m not exactly in the mood for a grand-tastical romance but I am after seeing this. Xuan Ji's character reminds me of Jin Mi from Ashes of Love. Both so clueless to love but both so good at making their man dizzy with fuzzy feelings. I really hope there's less annoying tropes though. I glossed over the legend part of this xianxia because I'm still making sense of it. I will fill in as I watch.

[Actors/Actresses] I like Crystal Yuan Bing Yan. She has this gracefulness to her beauty. Here she acts innocently cute and I completely buy it. First time seeing Cheng Yi. He's cute. When he smiles, and the camera catches his profile, his lips are slightly plump. It makes me smile too. I sound a bit like a pervert. I should stop. But he is cute.

[Episode 20 Update] It's been a long time since I’ve enjoyed this type of grand romance. I’m watching this knowing I’ll be suffering annoying misunderstandings but this type of heartache feels so good when I think I’ll be rewarded for it in the long run. Xuan Ji is too good at being cute, I can’t blame her for messing with Si Feng's heart. I feel bad that he's so heartbroken over her but at the same time, I want her to mess him up more.

[Behind the Scenes / Interviews
  • BTS vids call our couple the "Chu Yu" couple. The characters that are used mean "First Meeting"
  • Si Feng (Cheng Yi) and Xuan Ji (Yuan Bing Yan) promoted their drama for Youku by reenacting their kiss scene in Ep15. She actually kissed him on the cheek at the director's request. I watched the live stream after watching Episode 15 so it was cute but still a little cringey.
  • Although Cheng Yi looks so serious in the drama, he's a dork in all the BTS.
  • Cheng Yi's interview on Chinese Valentine's Day: He's so busy filming he doesn't really have time to watch his own drama. Few things I liked in this interview is him talking about how many times he had to spit blood. He lost count. Me too. Fans are also laughing at him for the way he put the hairpin in Xuan Ji's hair (Ep13). He poked it straight down her head. He asks for forgiveness; it's his first time after all. Then he was also asked about his clenched fists all the time. Si Feng has a lot of pent up emotions and being the introvert he is, he can only clench his fists.
  • Ep20 Kiss Scene. Si Feng’s nose is too high. Cheng Yi is so cute not knowing how to angle his pointy nose. He asks the director to not blame something he can’t control. Haha. When Xuan Ji and Si Feng have to manually turn for the camera, Si Feng switches the side he’s supposed to tilt his head to. Without a word, Xuan Ji cranks his head to the correct direction, haha. There’s also the lovable Teng She at the end of the kiss scene here.
  • BTS compilation with extra promotional clips. In an interview, Si Feng is asked how many times he had to spit out blood. He doesn’t know. Xuan Ji has her head hung low. She mumbles that she’s guilty. Heh. In this video there's also Teng She, Hao Chen and Ling Long. I love Teng She’s consistency in his acting. He’s always moving his neck like that because he’s imitating a snake (he’s the Snake God). Hao Chen’s appearance was also funny. I like him so much better offscreen than onscreen. Xuan Ji made a clip with Ling Long as well. She calls up her sister to tell her someone pushed her in the hallway. Didn’t know Xuan Ji was a tattletale, heh.
  • A music video of all the lives Si Feng and Xuan Ji had together. This is a clearer chronological order of their lives together. I personally went into the drama not knowing they have ten lives together so when I first saw this in Ep27+Ep48, I was pleasantly surprised and fell in love with the drama more.
  • Yuan Bing Yan’s interview. Please give this girl more love. She gets a lot of hate for her character in Ep48-50 because of how thoughtless she (her character!) was and also for her lack of emotional acting. I have very different opinions. I thought her acting was really good. In this interview she tells us during the last month of the filming she frequented hospitals because of her fevers. She also takes sleeping pills and the dosage keeps increasing. The interviewer asked her if her sleeping condition has improved. She smiles and replies it hasn’t. She also gives the impression that it’s normal of her to experience these for her career. Some will say she’s fishing for pity (ugh, people!), but when I watch her clips, I see her genuine passion for acting.
  • Yuan Bing Yan's OST that aired after the drama finished airing... At least Cheng Yi's OST played during the wedding scene in Ep59 albeit the very last episode.
  • BTS for the last kiss scene. Ep59.The director was SO unhappy with it, it was HILARIOUS. Cheng Yi's reaction is golden. He and Yuan Bing Yan were so embarrassed for themselves. The director is like, "Your noses are having a war again." Hahaha.

Final Review

[Review] I highly recommend tuning out all spoilers to enjoy this to the fullest. Hereby this is a warning to those reading my review without having seen the drama. I cannot write this review without spoiling because there’s just so much I want to talk about and I don't want to restrain myself. I'll try to use spoiler tags but I think my entire post will be spoiler-y anyways.

Romance

As someone who loves romance dramas, this was heavenly. All my fantasies of how beautiful romance can be is captured here. For almost the entirety of the 59 episodes, this drama is a romantic galore. Every episode elevates the romance. It's a gradual process. With long xianxia dramas, sometimes it feels like “insert romantic scenes here” and then “insert a load of misunderstandings here”. Love and Redemption beautifully paces the romance, warming my heart bit by bit. When it ended, I almost had withdrawal.

The four years our ChuYu couple spent away from each other was worth it for Xuan Ji to enchant and dazzle him back. In fact, she had to win him back twice in this drama and those were my favourite arcs: making Si Feng uncontrollably in love with her. The first time they separated, he had to seal his heart to save himself because he didn’t think she loved him. The second time, he stayed away to save her. For the first arc, it was delightful watching Xuan Ji win him back because of how innocently cute she was at stirring Si Feng’s heart. In the second arc, it was heart wrenching but the more heart wrenching it was, the more rewarding their reunion was. I felt my heart expand in relief and in joy for that beautiful episode they made up in. Everything was worth it. Ten lifetimes was worth it.

The ultimate joy of this romance is how Si Feng loves Xuan Ji. His love for her never once changed and never once wavered. It only grew stronger. No matter how many times she “betrayed” him or distrusted him, he’ll be there whenever she’s in danger. He’s patient with her, he teaches her, he spoils her, he cherishes her, he exists for Xuan Ji. There’s not a lifetime he hasn’t sacrificed for her. Although she never reciprocated, Si Feng continues to love her more and more. How does one love unconditionally like him? For ten whole lifetimes, he loved her only and lived only for her.

Despite how much Si Feng loved her, it was always Xuan Ji who initiated during the pivotal romantic moments. Si Feng is always doing something secretly that Xuan Ji has no idea of. Xuan Ji had said that each lifetime she did love him back but she only realized it a little too late. I believe that, otherwise Xuan Ji's blue powers wouldn’t have activated whenever Si Feng was in danger because that was before Si Feng even fell in love with her. I wonder if her love for him in the other nine lives is shown in the cut episodes that didn't make it to broadcast. Also, I wish I could see why Si Feng fell in love with her when they were in the celestial realm. After finishing the drama, a part of me is dying to know what happened in the thirteen missing episodes.

Story

Grand. This is an immersive xianxia drama with an expansive plot that isn’t just a romance. There's a progressive reveal of each lead's identity and if you manage to tune out to spoilers it's an amazing journey discovering who is who. No one is who they seem. Who's good and who's bad is up in the air. [Spoilers] I love the reveal of Si Feng from being a demon to the big bad demon to just a demon to a god to a demi-god. He's been through it all and ten lifetimes of rejection on top of all that. His fathers went from being a demon to a god. His mothers went from being a human to a demon. His final/original parents being a god and a demon actually makes him even more similar to Xuan Ji because if we think about it, her creators are a demon (Ji Du) and a god (Bai Lin). Ahem, anyways. Xuan Ji's final identity revelation was the highlight. Her becoming a man in the last five episodes of the drama was a brilliant plot. I felt squeamish and yet eager to watch the romantic scenes between Si Feng and Ji Du. When I did see some, I was shuddering and then giggling. When Xuan Ji was back and Si Feng was gone, I was bawling. When Emperor dad was standing around doing nothing, I was pulling my hair out. The last five episodes had my emotions jumping all over the place but when the last minutes of the drama ticked away, I was in love again. I particularly appreciated the drama for allowing ample amount of time to indulge us with the perfect wedding scene. [/Sp] The story had so much content to fill all 59 episodes. It knew from the very beginning where it had to be in the end and so the pieces fell logically into place to give a climatic and satisfying closure. I cannot ask for more. Well, I could...

Actors / Characters

Firstly, before I speak of the actors, I want to mention I'm officially a fan of Yin Tao, the director. Some of his dramas are a miss, but I'll be checking all his new ones regardless. He's got an eye for actors; so many of his picks are my favourites (Ren Jia Lun, Tan Song Yun and now Cheng Yi and Yuan Bing Yan). This section will contain [Spoilers]. I'll be talking about anything that interests me about the actors. I may not speak of every actor I list. By the way, the lists are technically spoiler-y too.

Supporting cast I hated
Yuan Lang
Hao Chen/Bai Lin
Chu Lei (and all the good sects)
Ling Long

Hao Chen/Bai Lin. I continuously ask myself if Hao Chen ever liked Xuan Ji. Since Hao Chen grew the lily lantern he definitely loved someone. I’m still not sure whether the lantern (the lily that lights up) was considered on or off when Xuan Ji was carrying it towards Si Feng though. Personally I believe Hao Chen loves Ji Du. His obsession with God Superiority would not allow him to love and admire Ji Du, a demon. Thus he changed him into a god, a female warrior. He was content with having her just at his side but when Si Feng started changing her, Hao Chen became desperate. He was losing Ji Du/Warrior God. He can’t let that happen. His love turned obsessive and manipulative. He blindsided himself that nothing he can do is wrong if he’s doing it for The Three Realms. I’ll never unhear Hao Chen’s voice when I read those words. I hated this guy but in terms of acting I think it’s a universal sentiment that he’s absolutely appreciated. Liu Xue Yi convinced me to hate him and I happily indulged in that. I do remind myself that it is thanks to his character that Xuan Ji was created. By the way, watch this guy’s promotional videos for the drama. I laughed hysterically.

Ling Long. I know she experienced something tragic but she was so annoying for the latter part of the drama. She never redeemed herself for me.

Wu Tong. Let's not forget him. He’s a tragic character. No one loved him. I wonder how his character would have changed if he had a bit of love. Near the end of his demise I couldn’t hate him (that's why he's not on my hate list). He practically ruined Ling Long’s life but he also saved her. Well technically, she didn’t need saving if he didn’t ruin her. But I still couldn’t hate him completely.

Si Ming. This drama had one of the most annoying Si Ming’s. I usually like him in other versions but this guy is so stupid. Why would he make up stories to thwart our OTP?? This Si Ming is bogus.

Emperor. This guy was exceptionally frustrating. There’s a Chinese saying that describes my feelings “the eunuch is in more of a rush than the emperor”. I am the eunuch anxiously waiting for the Emperor to do something, anything, other than stand around when the world is about to be destroyed to smithereens and his son is dying in front of his eyes.

Supporting cast I loved:
Teng She
Hao Chen in Ep34
Liu Yi Huan
Ji Du
Wu Zhi Qi
Purple Fox
Ting Nu

Teng She. LOVABLE. He's the character that voices out all my vexations in the drama. Sassy and refreshing. I'll always remember his snake-neck move. For an obnoxious god like him, I'm surprised at how much he loved being Xuan Ji's pet.

Hao Chen (or Bai Lin). Hao Chen in Ep34 made me love him for a brief moment. How could he be so funny in two seconds? He's also in this section because I loved hating him. He had a very good character to be absolutely vile in. I could almost understand his motive. The Three Realms

Liu Yi Huan. I like him a lot for the comedic relief. This actor is also a favourite of Yin Tao (and mine too). His character was revealed rather early on to be a demon if anyone had picked up on it. In Ep11 they asked him why his daughter is half demon. He had spun an obvious lie back then. I love him the most for being the romantic architect between Si Feng and Xuan Ji. It is so refreshing when he yells at Si Feng for all his noble idiocy. He’s also the stimulator from Xuan Ji’s end; he's always the one telling her the important stuff. I pitied Xuan Ji when he yelled at her but at the same time she needed the harsh lecturing. Si Feng did way too much for her to not know anything.

Ji DuSeamless. He had five episodes to shine in the end where he had the daunting task to take over the female lead. He integrated himself so well like he always belonged. The could-be romance between him and Si Feng made me shy and giggle. Among the supporting cast, he had the least time but had one of the most impact in the entire drama. I'd say he was second to Hao Chen / Bai Lin.

Who's your favourite Si Feng?
Masked Si Feng
Winged Si Feng
Mo Sha Xing Si Feng (dark makeup)
Sickly Si Feng  (blue hooded cape)
Godly Si Feng

I like all of Si Feng. Alright. I’ll pick one. Sickly Si Feng in a hooded cape [Ep50-52]. That arc hurt so good. The more pain he felt from rejecting her, the more relief he felt from her love. As much as I love his visuals and pure awesomeness as all the other Si Feng’s, a complete Si Feng to me is when he's with Xuan Ji. Him and Xuan Ji were truly one in those episodes.

P.S. I can never understand those who love Si Feng and not Xuan Ji. How can Si Feng ever be complete without her?

Who's your favourite Xuan Ji?
Innocent and flirty Xuan Ji
Warrior God Xuan Ji
Ji Du

Hands down it’s 'Innocent and flirty Xuan Ji'. My two favourite arcs in the drama are her initiating the romance. If anyone picks Ji Du as their favourite Xuan Ji, take my virtual side-eye. Another Xuan Ji I like is when she's powerfully fighting Si Feng. It was kind of cool watching them brace at each other. If they actually fight, I wonder who will win.

Overall
(No Spoilers)

Love and Redemption is gratifying to love. It made me suffer but it's the good type of suffering because I'm rewarded with so much love that can fill up ten lifetimes and more. It's a drama that spoils its audience with a gorgeous romance, an engrossing story, and loathsome villains who are fun to loathe. It felt so good to love this drama that delivered on so many levels right to the end. Thank you, drama.
