Random Observations

• The Greatest of 2023 is actually Zhu Yi, author of Hidden Love and When I Fly Towards You.
• Know the sample population: we’re suckers for romance. Not one Best Drama up there isn't a romance drama. 
• Don’t disregard the timing of dramas: Meet Yourself is consistently popular despite airing January of last year. In contrast, most have moved on from My Journey to You, which ranked high in the November Poll, but fell off in Dec/Jan. 
• We like our family relationships. Non-romantic CPs are filled with moms and dads, grandmas (and no grandpas), and brothers and sisters. 
• A Journey to Love is in every list except the Worst Drama. Lots of relationships to love and hate and an unforgettable ending. 
• Bai Lu rocking the Worst Drama and Worst Couple list. Story of Kunning didn’t make it anywhere. (Congrats Bai Lu!)
• Worst 2 Endings go to our assassins on journeys... (don't travel!)
• Period dramas just can't end properly this year. 
• (Pst, 2023 is also the year of worst directors: Guo Jing Ming(?), Zhu Rui Bin and Guo Hu)
