Su Ran Ran's Husband Hunting Journey [苏染染追夫记] Episode 1 and 2

Chinese Title: 苏染染追夫记 (Su Ran Ran Zhui Fu Ji)
Total Episodes: 50 (each 20 minute long)

Wow. This is actually good?

And to boot each episode is only 20 minutes long, making this very easy to watch. Of course, that's not the only reason to love this drama.

My Synopsis: Su Ran Ran isn’t exactly hunting down her husband-to-be. More like, she’s being hunted by her husbands-to-be. First, there’s a man with a mask, then there’s her betrothed, and then there’s her much admired senior (Um. Think 'sunbae' or 'senpai'). Oh yeah, she’s also got nine older brothers beckoning to her every call.

There’s more to her life than men though: she’s been poisoned since birth by a powerful clan and she’s lost three months of her memory. Every night she dreams of a man calling out to her but she can’t remember who he is. However, remembering him will take her life. (Okay so maybe this drama is all about the men in her life).

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 3

English TitleLove That Makes You Cry

Today’s theme is Childish: from enacting make-belief scenarios, to miming (from Ren and grandma), to playing Pat-a-cake. However, there’s something melancholic about this episode.

The Whirlwind Girl | Review

The Whirlwind Girl Synopsis: a girl’s whirlwind journey to mastering Yuan Wu Dao and three men’s journey in pursuing that whirlwind girl.

Overall tone of the drama is light and breezy. You’ve got three guys chasing this one girl. The girl is pure and angelic; the guys are either a serious dude, a cocky dude, or a kind dude. Pretty much standard stuff. The drama balances out the romance and the sport element rather decently.

The Whirlwind Girl Episode 1

I’ll only be recapping one episode to introduce the drama and then I'll write a full review on it later.

In short, this drama is a long shot from being a home-run but it’s like playing a really good catch and throw game. You get what you expect. And you get quality.

Love That Makes You Cry Episode 2

Japanese TitleItsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau

This drama has successfully made every soul in here lonely and yet I feel comforted that they will indeed find their happiness whenever that may be. For this episode the one that did the finding has become the one that has been found.

Love That Makes You Cry Episode 1

Japanese TitleItsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau

My Synopsis: Two orphans finding love in Tokyo. Simple story but so beautifully executed that you'll regret sleeping through the slower parts of the drama.

Never have I missed so many details while watching a drama let alone watching merely just one episode. Even watching it the third or fourth time, I’m still finding new facets to this beautiful piece of work. It’s astonishing and it leaves me bewildered.

I think I'm in love.

Manga: Koi dano Ai dano Chapter 37 (Vol 10)

I just had to post this. I started reading this manga in 2011 while the original series (Warau Kanoko-sama) started in 2008. I’ve waited for more than 5 years for this moment: Kanoko and Tsubaki are FINALLY going out. At least this is still better than Skip Beat! (I might as well be a grandmother by the time Ren and Kyoko realize their feelings are mutual).

I've only been keeping up with the mangas that I have started years ago. I just can't put them down until I get a complete ending... Why is that so hard!!
