[Drama Info]
This is the long-awaited “sequel” to Princess Agents – the one that left fans stranded at the bottom of that frozen lake for years. Rebirth picks up from that iconic ice-lake ending with the same FL and ML characters (despite having different names). That said, it’s also coming in with a new director, new cast, and a refreshed setup, so the understanding is that it’s also meant to work as a standalone epic for new viewers rather than something only Princess Agents veterans can watch.
Director Lv Hao Ji Ji moved onto this fast after Generation to Generation wrapped in January 2025, with Rebirth officially filming from December 6, 2024 to April 20, 2025 (double booking!). He has also made a name for himself on the land of wisp-blowers with visually impressively dramas like The Double, Moonlit Reunion, and Go Princess Go.

Author Zhao Na is not listed as a screenwriter for her own Princess Agent sequel. If her name is familiar to you, it's because she adapted A Moment but Forever, The Demon Hunter's Romance, Feud, Love and Destiny and Arsenal Military Academy.
FL Huang Yang Tian Tian's first drama since her "scandal". Anyway. This is her full-circle point. She played young Chu Qiao, the younger counterpart to Zhao Li Ying’s FL in 2017. Now, nine years later, she returns as the actual FL Chu Qiao. And she has her own child counterpart, Liu Jia Xi (she shone in Blossom and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy).
ML Li Yun Rui is collecting Huang Yang Tian Tian dramas. All her recent dramas have been with Li Yun Rui who has been her dad, her crush, and may he finally be her man as Zhuge Yue. Reunions continue for Li Yun Rui. He cameoed in Lv Hao Ji Ji's Generation to Generation. He also reunites with producer and actress Zhang Meng, who produced Blossom, the drama that really boosted his popularity. And this is why it's a Youhug drama, distributed to both iQIYI and Tencent.
