低智商犯罪, which translates to Low IQ Crime, is adapted from the novel of the same name by Zi Jin Chen (紫金陈), best known for his depressing dark, crime stories that were adapted into hits like The Bad Kids and The Long Night. But this time it’s a suspense comedy ~
The drama is directed by Liu Hai Bo, who delivered How Dare You!? earlier this year, but is more widely known for his crime dramas: Trident and Thirteen Years of Dust. And so he's right back into his comfort zone.
Leading the cast – in #2 – is Tian Xi Wei in her first police-crime drama. There's a teeny reunion with Zhang Zhe Hua, her cheating boyfriend in In Between.
