Should you watch this
drama? This drama is for those who can appreciate the mundane, those who
can withstand a slow drama. I would not recommend this drama to someone who has
just started appreciating Jdramas. There aren’t really suspenseful moments and
although there are heartbreaking scenes there isn’t a whole lot of it. It’s not
that funny either. What I’m getting at is this drama doesn’t use normal tactics
in engaging the audience. For the most part, the drama flows like a calm wave,
sometimes there’s a huge one and other times they’re small ones but each wave
is planned, nothing was random. But I’m prideful I’ve deciphered how clever
this drama is. Those who have complained about how boring this drama is have
not actually paid attention. At least that’s my humble opinion. I’m not going
to hard sell this drama because I honestly don’t think most people can
appreciate it. Those who are willing to, I welcome you (:

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 10
Final Episode!
Oto goes back to square one but is it really all the same? Just like Ren who went back to his hometown in Episode 5 and came back being all emotionless, will Oto have the same fate?
Nope. Oto's a strong one but she'll need just a little support and Ren provides much more than that and more.

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 9
One more episode to go and our lovely couple finally get to
text and call each other for the first time in seven years. Yikes. So far all
the relationships are wrapping up nicely with the exception of our OTP. I’m
crossing my fingers and legs and whatever else is left to cross, hoping for a
happy ending.

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 8
This is an episode that affirms Oto and Ren are meant for each other but there's still a few obstacles left.

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 7
For once I get to see both of them in the garden. And this
time it’s Ren’s turn to stare lovingly at Oto. Finally. I want Oto to relax and
let Ren do the chasing from now on. Haha. But, uh, that’s not the point of this episode;
Ren needs to be saved first.

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 6
Ren is in the background. |
After five years, they finally meet and it's Oto who finds Ren. Actually, ever since Episode 2, it's always Oto who's finding him. This wasn't my favourite episode but after replaying it, I've slowly realized how symbolic this episode was. It mirrors Episode 1 but instead of Ren rescuing her, it's Oto who needs to save him.

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 5
Sweet and bitter episode with the last bit leaving me flabbergasted. There is a five year time jump bringing us to 2016 but it's not the time jump itself that shocked me, it's the transformation of one particular person.

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 4
English Title: Love That Makes You Cry
Today's theme is Dreams. As for the plot, there are confessions and un-confessions.

Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau Episode 3
English Title: Love That Makes You Cry
Today’s theme is Childish: from enacting make-belief scenarios, to miming (from Ren and grandma), to playing Pat-a-cake. However, there’s something melancholic about this episode.

Love That Makes You Cry Episode 2
Japanese Title: Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau
This drama has successfully made every soul in here lonely and
yet I feel comforted that they will indeed find their happiness whenever that may
be. For this episode the one that did the finding has become the one that has
been found.

Love That Makes You Cry Episode 1
Japanese Title: Itsuka Kono Koi wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau
My Synopsis: Two orphans finding love in Tokyo. Simple story but so beautifully executed that you'll regret sleeping through the slower parts of the drama.
Never have I missed so many details while watching a
drama let alone watching merely just one episode. Even watching it the third or
fourth time, I’m still finding new facets to this beautiful piece of work. It’s
astonishing and it leaves me bewildered.
I think I'm in love.
