[Drama Info]

雨霖鈴 is Daylight Entertainment’s return into wuxia. 

Adapted from minifish’s (小魚 Xiao Yu) novel of the same name, which is a reinterpretation of the classic Zhan Zhao character. In wuxia literature, Zhan Zhao is a righteous bodyguard of Judge Bao Zheng in stories like The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants.

The Chinese title is difficult to translate directly. Literally it means “rain chimes,” but it comes from classical Chinese poem associated with parting, longing, and melancholy. Optimism!

Directed by Liu Hong Yuan. He previously worked as part of the directing team on dramas like Reset and…South Wind Knows, 雨霖鈴 is his first major project leading as primary director. 

Adapted to drama by Wu Tong, a staple Daylight writer (The Story of Ming Lan, Battle of Changsha, and Challenges at Midlife).
