• Debut in 2018 after winning first place on the rookie actor competition show I Actor (演員的品格). Other participants include Luo Yu Tong, Yang Yu Tong, etc. His debut dramas, New Smiling Proud Wanderer and Just an Encore, came from this show.
• He studied directing.
• Career-highs: The first one was in 2020 "May Boyfriend Era" where both Intense Love and The Romance of Tiger and Rose aired and were loved. The second arrived in 2024 with Love Game in Eastern Fantasy. The drama became one of the year's biggest successes and introduced him to a new wave of popularity.
• His slogan: 謹言慎行 ("be cautious in speech and actions"). He lives by this. Over the years, he has become increasingly careful about what he says and does in public, likely because he's seen firsthand how quickly online opinion can turn. During his 2020 breakout, he faced criticism for promoting two dramas at the same time (when they aired at relatively the same time…). Later, when Love You Seven Times drew controversy and much of the criticism landed on Yang Chao Yue, he publicly supported his co-star and ended up getting pulled into the negativity himself.
