She caught the attention of Guo Jing Ming('s team) and made her acting debut in the 2018 hit film Cry Me a Sad River.
She’s known for having an especially large male fanbase. Her original fandom name was “楠朋友 (Nan Pengyou),” which means “Nan’s Friends” but is also a pun on 男朋友 (“boyfriend”). Because so much of her fandom skewed male, the name became a little awkward and controversial, so fans gradually switched to “小印章 (Xiao Yin Zhang / Little Stamps).”
Her family background gets talked about online despite being ordinary. She is the eldest of four siblings – three daughters before the youngest finally ended up being a son. Because of that family structure, plus her name “楠 / Nan” sounds close to 男 (“boy”), there is discourse that her parents were very obviously hoping for a son the whole time.
