這一秒過火 is directed by Yi Jun, best known for Bloody Romance, and his most recent was The Princess's Gambit. 

Adapted by Luo Jun Yue. It's the first time this screenwriter did a drama that's not an adaptation in Xu Lei's The Grave Robbers' Chronicles (盜墓筆記) universe. He worked on Reunion: The Sound of Providence (2020), head writer of Legend of Zang Hai alongside Xu Lei himself, and Tomb of the Sea 沙海 (2018).

The biggest name in this crew though is the author Fei Wo Si Cun (= 匪我思存  = The Bandit Thinks of Me). She wrote Too Late to Say I Love You, which propelled Wallace Chung and Li Xiao Ran to new heights of popularity. And Good Bye, My Princess, which propelled Chen Xing Xu and Peng Xiao Ran. As well as Siege in Fog, Because of Love, etc. She isn't just an author now. She served as a producer on The Romance of Tiger and Rose and screenwriter (e.g. Wonderland of Love, which if anything started well).
