Directed by Han Yan, best known for co-directing Run for Young and… Such a Good Love (which wasn't that good of a love). He seems to be good fit for capturing rural, small-town vibes.

Adapted from Yi Bei's novel, 小芳出嫁 (Xiao Fang Is Marrying), the same author behind A Little Mood for Love, Simple Days, Liu Zi Mei (Six Sisters). Big family stories with romance seem to be his speciality. 

The screenplay is adapted by Pei Wen, who previously wrote The Confidence – a "romance" involving a psychopath. Nice writer combo...
