Current time frame. Xiong Yi Fan is partnered up with Yan Ke to participate in the university’s school competition. He’s her senior. They run a three legged race together. She trips and falls. Unable to accept defeat, Xiong Yi Fan throws Yan Ke over her shoulders to win the race. Lol. During the race he loses his candy box. Yi Fan searches the garbage for it. She manages to find it and returns it to Yan Ke. He appreciates her effort. All her heroic moves and lines remind him of his friend (Qi Xiao Song) who had saved him from his bullies. He asks her if she has a brother. She doesn’t.
Yan Ke’s Interview.
Interviewer: Why are you so interested in her brother?
Yan Ke: Silence
Interviewer: Then who is Qi Xiao Song?
Yan Ke: A high school friend
Interviewer: Your best friend?
Yan Ke: A friend I really respect.
Interviewer: Ah, so who is he?

[Ep2] Xiong Yi Fan's optimism continues to touch Yan Ke. With various triggers, Yan Ke starts remembering his high school friend. His friend is indeed Xiong Yi Fan. But how can he forget her in the first place? It’s not like he was five..!
[Ep3] Yan Ke realizes for all these years he misunderstood Xiong Yi Fan to be a boy...LOL. Because of that misunderstanding, he rejected her confession. Or more like he was too stunned to reply. It all makes sense now thinking back to the scene where she dressed up in a suit (looking like a man) and how affected he was, ha. There was also the interview scene where he wouldn’t answer what relationship he had with Qi Xiao Song. He couldn't bring himself to admit to the interviewer that 'Qi Xiao Song'“ is his first love.

[Ep4] High school years. After the confession night, Yan Ke and Yi Fan never saw each other. Yan Ke had to leave to Beijing and Yi Fan had to leave for her soccer match. They both ran back to the practice room hoping to see each other. Fate has it that they don’t meet. She drops her candy box. When he arrives, he picks it up and still has it to this day. When he was back from Beijing, he found out she never made it to any university. Hence why he’s her senior now.
Current time. Yan Ke comments how Xiong Yi Fan changed a lot. Yi Fan replies she only changed her hair. Naw girl, you changed A LOT for him. Haha. They meet up together for driving lessons. She dresses up prettily and so does he. He even gets a new hairdo. Yi Fan is terrible at driving. Like terrible. The instructor is fed up. Yan Ke patiently teaches her. So he can drive...
He takes her on a road trip to teach her driving. But he’s the one driving and there’s a ton of snacks. This is a date, heh. He swerves to avoid a rodent. As a result, his car breaks down. Their phones are out of battery too. They sleep over at this grandmother’s home; she assumes they’re dating.
Yi Fan is unable to sleep next to Yan Ke. She quietly slips out; he quietly follows her. Together they watch fireflies. As she’s crouching down, he wants to touch her hair. He quickly retreats his hand when she moves though.
[Ep5] Yan Ke holds the tissue for her as she blows her nose in it. That is true love.
Second Couple: Ding Ming (Yi Fan's friend) accidentally infects her eyes with unknown chemicals. Bai Yu Ze (popular photographer) comes across and helps her. She’s in love with him but hasn’t been able to see him. She can only recognize his voice.

[Ep6] Bai Yu Ze has his sights set on Yi Fan. He returns her student ID and then asks her for lunch. It’s an awkward lunch when every girl is watching them. He admits he is popular. Yi Fan laughs at his narcissism and also at the rice on his lip. Yan Ke spots them having lunch together and he jealously storms off.
Yan Ke tries to pursue her with an English love poem that goes completely over her head. His next strategy is to slip a confession note in a study text. She treats it like it's her precious treasure (even though it’s a common textbook) and bows it like it’s god. Therefore she doesn’t open it. Instead, she reads her friend's copy. Pft. He’s showing Bai Yu Ze who’s more important to her. When Bai Yu Ze updates Yi Fan she needs to be elsewhere, Yan Ke holds her back. He doesn't make any excuses to hold her back, he's just holding onto her. Yi Fan can't move.

[Ep8] Yi Fan helps Yan Ke find a condo to rent. He moves into the one she approves of. The landlord thinks they’re dating. Yi Fan twists her leg when she helps him move his stuff. She thought she was superwoman who can carry anything.
High school. Yi Fan gave Yan Ke a matching pink sweater but every student has it too. How is it that they have so many moments in high school together and he doesn’t know she’s a girl or recognize her in university?? Huh.
Current time. Bai Yu Ze captures a beautiful and feminine Yi Fan with his camera. When Yi Fan asks Yan Ke how her pictures are, Yan Ke doesn’t like them at all. Yi Fan is disappointed so Bai Yu Ze takes her to play pool. He asks her why she likes Bai Yu Ze and why not consider him. He's officially asking her to date him.
[Ep9] Yan Ke’s mind is so preoccupied with Xiong Yi Fan and her intimidate interactions with Bai Yu Ze, he’s harshly criticized by a judge for his poor piano skills. His terrible mood spills over when other students taunt him. He fights them. Yi Fan is surprised. The calm Yan Ke would never do that. Although he’s giving her the cold shoulder, she continues to worry about him. She recorded a comforting message in a teddy bear. That instantly brings a smile to Yan Ke’s face.
Bai Yu Ze takes Yi Fan out horse-riding on a beach 2056 for his birthday. He had lured her out with a bouquet and guilt tripped her into celebrating his birthday with him. Yi Fan did feel nervous when he practically gave her a back hug on the horse. However, when he confesses to her again, she rejects him. She loves Yan Ke.
They’re both striving to realize their very contrasting passion. Yan Ke wants to perform with his band and Yi Fan wants to do well in javelin throw. They each motivate the other. By the end of the episode, Yi Fan got her gold medal. Yan Ke’s results are still pending but the audience loved his band’s upbeat performance.
Yi Fan and Yan Ke make up over a simple lunch. When someone wants to join in on their lunch, Yan Ke goes out of his way to keep lunch to the two of them.
Bai Yu Ze’s Interview
[Ep10] Yan Ke takes Yi Fan to a classical concert. Yi Fan tries to research it beforehand but she’s completely off. So off. Yan Ke begs her to not research this anymore. When the recital begins, Yi Fan’s snooze button is activated. She’s asleep the entire time. When it’s her turn to take him to a concert, he ruins the mood immediately for the other fans. These two...just how is their relationship going to work? According to Yi Fan, she loves him exactly because of their differences. He can bring a new world to her and she wants to see his world through his eyes. Bai Yu Ze’s Interview

[Ep11] Yan Ke has a beautiful goddess-like childhood friend, Tan Tan. She’s embodies everything to hate in a second female lead. Behind her angelic smile is someone conniving. She tells Yi Fan off. Yan Ke is forced to walk Tan Tan home but on the way home, he tells her he doesn’t want to involve himself with her unnecessarily. Wasn’t expecting her character to be dismissed so quickly by him. However, she doesn’t give up. She had actually employed Bai Yu Ze to seduce Yi Fan. They’re cousins. Darn, I actually liked Bai Yu Ze albeit he’s a little slimy.
The girls engage in war for the oblivious Yan Ke but although he’s oblivious, he’s not giving Tan Tan any chances. However, Tan Tan does manage to make Yi Fan insecure.

[Ep12] Bai Yu Ze tries to explain to Yi Fan he didn’t molest her last night. She runs away like he’s got cooties. Bai Yu Ze laughs amusingly. This scene is kind of cute. Coach interrupts and that allows Yi Fan to successfully run away from him. Will there be something between coach and Yu Ze? I actually think they’ll be a good match. There’s also a half naked scene of him with Ding Ming. So defined. She accidentally throws something hard right at his groin. Who is Yu Ze going to end up with?
The group plays a game of Truthand Dare. The statement that's read is "I've never been liked by a male." Those who have, drink. It's normal for the girls to drink, but Qi Xiao Song drinks too. He shyly eyes Yan Ke. Haha. Yan Ke thinks he's eyeing him because it's his turn. Yan Ke picks this statement: “The person I like is currently not here." Everyone (Tan Tan, Yu Ze, Yi Fan, Ding Ming and Yan Ke drink) except Qi Xiao Song
The group met up to watch the meteor shower but rain starts pouring. Yan Ke and Yi Fan are stuck together in this cabin. She thanks him for saving her from the “molester” Yu Ze on Christmas night. He tells her that if she ever needs any help in the future, he’ll always be there. Yes, but when was he ever there first? Tan Tan interrupts their romantic moment though.

[Ep13] Rumours of Xiong Yi Fan undergoing a sex change take over the university as pictures of her looking tomboyish spread. It's the doing of a jealous roommate who likes Yu Ze. Yan Ke and Xiong Yi Fan had thought it was Tan Tan but she really is innocent this time. The two men (Yan Ke and Yu Ze) work together to clarify Xiong Yi Fan's name. She's currently terribly depressed about the rumours.
[Ep14] Yan Ke and Bai Yu Ze continue to team up to find proof that it’s Xiong Yi Fan’s dorm mate spreading the false rumours. The men go lingerie shopping, almost kiss and almost pretend to be a gay couple just to help Xiong Yi Fan. With their efforts, the rumours are cleared.
They also find out Bai Yu Ze purposely approached Xiong Yi Fan to seduce her.
[Ep15] Xiong Yi Fan’s scarf falls into a dirty pond. Bai Yu Ze jumps into the pond to help her retrieve it. He jokes at how important it is, it can't be from Yan Ke, is it? It is from Yan Ke. He laughs and says he shouldn’t have helped her. He’s all carefree but his smile falters when she mentions how she knew he couldn’t possibly like her.
Bai Yu Ze falls ill. He calls Xiong Yi Fan. She arrives there and cares for him. When she leaves, he gives her a back hug. He wants her to know he’s serious about her.

The group is on a trip. It's a super uncomfortable ride on the long-distance train. Xiong Yi Fan gets up for some breathing space. Yan Ke goes to find her. With the train suddenly jerking, he flies forward towards her. Their clothes also hook onto each other. It's an awkward romantic moment until her other friends join in.

Remarks
[First Impression (Ep1-8)] This one is about misunderstandings preventing two people who love each other from being with each other. The vibe sort of reminds me of Unrequited Love but less melancholic. I personally have a soft spot for dramas with this quiet, muted sweet tone. The misunderstanding from the ML is a little absurd, I can only snort out a laugh. The FL’s love for him is unchanging but she’s so in love with him she’s blind to his love for her. This will be a slow romance with misunderstandings that will hopefully be smoothly resolved. The second-ML is a charmer too.
[Actors/Actresses] Wan Peng is creeping up my favourite actors’ list. I’m really admiring her as an actress. I’ve seen her in two other dramas so far: When We Were Young and My Girlfriend is an Alien. I love how there’s a clear distinction between the way she acts her characters. First time she was a tomboy. Second time she’s innocently silly. Now she’s an innocent tomboy. She sells them all.
[Dropped] This is a little too light, a little too slow. It is watchable if you like the leads whenever you’re looking for something light.
