However her gold wings bring her more misfortune than fortune. She is hailed as the Queen of the Winged Tribe. The servants bathe her. She recalls how her father (Feng Tian Yi, ML in S1) told her not to call any man beautiful or that man might be her future husband (hence why she told XJK he was ugly).
On her way to verify her Queen identity, she is ambushed and almost dies if it had not been for XJK's timely arrival.
[Ep8] XJK is searching for Lian Yi but his left hand is starting to glow blue, which only means one thing: the silent black cloaked man is here to assassinate him again. Back in the palace, FRC is framed (again) and removed of her Queen position. FRC has to fight her way to survival but she loses and has her wings brutally cut off. The evil lady (Xuan Ji) with the crown throws her off the cliff along with her walkie-talkie.
At the end of the episode a Teletubby butterfly appears. It's the master of the black cloaked man, Xu Yu.
[Ep9] Xu Yu tells this Butterly Teletubby he's killed "Fang Wu Yi" and asks for his voice to not be silenced again. However, if this Fang Wu Yi was killed, this butterfly monster should have been released but it isn't. XJK (or Fang Wu Yi) is still alive and is playing the harp as if he's not injured at all. He's playing the harp to let FRC sleep at ease.
The next morning, she does her best to pretend to be the cheery her in front of XJK. She begs her to buy her this pastry and he tells her impossible. Guess where he goes. To retrieve the pastry. Except he's so weak, his magical powers don't work. He gets misunderstood to be air groping instead, haha. Now he has to be like a normal person to squeeze in through the frenzy crowd to buy it but fails. So he cooks her favourite noodle instead. At night she wants storytelling time, he flatly refuses, only to seek out his buddy to find novels he can read to her. He's doing everything she wants.
DXY wasn't actually kidnapped, she is the princess of the Purple Winged Tribe. Her mother is the evil lady and she's determined to turn her daughter wings from purple to gold so DXY can be the next Queen.
FRC is framed as the impostor Queen and is publicly hated. When she's ganged up by haters XJK comes to her rescue. He blocks water from being splashed at her (it was an accident) and distrances herself from her because of the smell on him. However, she doesn't mind and hangs onto him. He lets her be. At night, he also tell her bedtime stories. When he was reading the books alone I thought he was trying to find one that interests FRC but it's actually him who's addicted to romance novels.
[Ep12] FRC is doing a lot of saving this episode. She saves the grandmother that was nice to her in the palace. The dying grandmother tells her to go find this general who's now changed his loyalty to The Silver Winged Iron Ride Tribe (these names... I'm doing a literal translation). It's the same tribe YMY is part of and where DXY is currently hailed as Queen. On her journey to the tribe she comes across XJK fighting his arch enemy. XJK falls into the water and she dives in giving him the kiss of life. He regains his powers and all of his memories.
But he instantly regrets. He checks and checks their "walkie-talkie" but no message is coming in. He rehearses and rehearses on how to coincidentally bump into her but they're all so lame. He tries to use his powers to seek for her whereabouts but she's too far from him.
Although XJK doesn't yet find her, he does find his brother, YMY.
[Ep13] FRC is jailed up after she accidentally gives a fake map to Lian Yi. She's completing Yang Guard's mission on behalf of him so the Silver Winged Iron Ride Tribe can win the war. Is it a coincidence that XJK also shows up near this tribe? Nope. He uses his invisible powers to help her break jail but she returns back because she doesn't want to look like a spy. Lian Yi believes her and helps her investigate the fake map.
FRC is back in jail but she's not alone. Invisible XJK is with her. FRC ruminates on whether to send a message to XJK and when she almost does, XJK jumps two feet away from her. He doesn't want to repeat the same mistake twice. However, she chickens out and closes her walkie-talkie leaving a very disappointed XJK. That doesn't stop him from spending the whole night fanning mosquitoes away from her.
[Ep14] After being released from prison, she's now training in the Silver Winged campsites and the coach is none other than XJK. There she meets Lin Yue Cong (actress Xu Xiao Nuo) who automatically ostracizes her after learning she's the fake Queen. XJK is also very cold to her. His buddy confronts him he shouldn't believe in a curse (that he'll kill her one day)
To distance himself further from her, he purposely makes her jealous by using Lin Yue Cong.
[Ep15] Except XJK gets played by his own game and gets jealous too when she gets too close to another man. This episode becomes a battle of making the other more jealous. I think FRC won? She doesn't know it yet though.
FRC is also very preoccupied with training in order to overcome her next quest. Lian Yi helps her train overnight. Loving this friendship.
[Ep16] I was wrong, FRC fully knows she has the upper hand. She challenges Lin Yue Cong that XJK will only drink the wine she gives him and just as she predicts, he drinks her wine. Followed by an instant drunk reaction from him. Heh.
I like FRC's boot camp session here. She's working from the bottom back up to her pathway to Queendom. She doesn't win the quest but she wins the hearts of everyone around her. She's going to be an amazing Queen.
XJK finally can't stand being cold to her as she hobbles in front of him. He treats her injury and stands face to face with the man who's making him jealous.
[Ep17] An episode of unrequited loves. The boy who has a crush on FRC, Fang Qi Mo, learns he has no hope and for one moment I pitied him. Lian Yi has a bitter story of her own. She's always had a crush on YMY but he's a brick. He doesn't get romance at all. When she saved him and suffered a permanent injury to her face, he told her he would take care of her for life. Anyone would think he meant it romantically, but he meant to treat her like family, like a sister for life. Poor girl. Off topic, she's so pretty.
[Ep18] An episode of camaraderie. FRC finally gets the trust of her teammates, even the most problematic one, Lin Yue Cong. Everyone comes together to protect her when Du Xian Yin schemes to have her killed. Fortunately XJK shows up at the nick of time to save her.
She runs to thank him but ends up drooling at the sight of his naked back. She also catches a glimpse of the mysterious marking on his back meanwhile XJK catches her in his room. He's no longer mean to her and (finally) compliments her bravery and skills. With the true acceptance of her teammates and the compliments from XJK, she's starting to find her worth. She's finally starting to move on from the emotional pain of being utterly defeated when she lost her wings. She's becoming strong and (almost) independent.
[Ep19] Their sweet little romance picks up again. XJK thought FRC was waiting for Fang Qi Mo to drink their special wine. Jealous, he steals the wine but it's actually her cup. It's an indirect kiss. It reminds them of their actual kiss. Shy, she looks away while he pretends to forget. His drunk walk is so funny.
Although FRC lost her wings, her inventive brain is still cleverly intact. She creates a pair of wings for each of her teammates coupled with weapons to ensure their mission will be a success. However, she still hasn't gotten over her emotional pain to be able to fly.
[Ep20] FRC's friends see her emotional hurdle and force her to fly hoping she'd overcome her fear but it's too much for her. Still, the sincere encouragement from her friends motivate her. She begs XJK to help her. It's not that XJK doesn't want to help her but he's worried for her health. She's already died three times, he tells her. She recounts it's only twice. She doesn't know about the first time when she was an infant when he almost killed her.
She enters the simulation and she meets Feng Ren who is part of her Feng family and had died a heroic death saving Novoland. I haven't watched Season One so I don't know the details of who this Feng Ren is. He makes her realize what her true desires are: she wants to restore her rightful reign.
With much effort, she kills her enemies. Overwhelmed, she faints over. A very worried XJK holds onto her with a mixture of relief that she's safe and pride that she's vanquished her foes. Xu Zheng Zi's acting is so on point.
[Ep21] She thanks him by preparing a table full of (regular human) food for him. He tells her, "you know I don't eat this" but he sits down anyways. Pft. She told him she saw his past in his eyes which was accidentally revealed when he was overly worried about her (that hug from Ep20) which is why she prepared this knowing he would like it. He does. She also gives him a present: a chemical that allows him to store snowflakes (so that it won't melt). She can't prove it until it snows. No problem-o. XJK makes winter happen. Happily, she dances around and gathers a snowflake for him. She tells him it's his birthday present. She remembers that the first day he came to have memories it was snowing. Therefore whenever it snows, it's his birthday.
XJK takes her for a walk (to separate her from Qi Mo). She trips and he reminds her to watch her step. She tells him the path she takes are usually difficult anyways but it doesn't matter anymore. She leaves her sentence half finished leaving XJK curious (I think she wanted to say it doesn't matter if she falls, XJK is there to help anyways). She doesn't want to tell him unless he changes the way he addresses her. She wants him to call her "Ah Che" (it's more affectionate). She reminds him that's what he kept calling her when he was worried about her (the hug at Ep20).
[Ep22] Although FRC didn't get that kiss from him, she kisses him while he's still in a coma. However, what she doesn't know is that her physical presence has a magical ability on him. Like Snow White, he wakes with the kiss from his love. Although he was unconscious, he still heard every word of her confession. But he lies to her, pretending he never heard her words. However, FRC recognizes that whenever he coughs he's trying to hide something. After almost losing him, she can't be passive about her emotions anymore.
[Ep23] There's only so much a girl can pour her heart out when the man she loves doesn't return it. Heartbroken, she tells the XJK who's leaving her that she'll do her best to forget him. She walks away, turning her back towards him. But...
After a cute umbrella scene where FRC teaches XJK how to be romantic, there are two heartbroken onlookers. Lin Yue Cong pouts that she might be getting a Shi Niang (master's wife). Meanwhile Fang Qi Mo sulks he might be getting a new grandmother. LOL.
As XJK and FRC are getting more and more romantic, XJK seems to be getting weaker and weaker. Also, FRC's flower mark by her ear continues to glow. There's a lot of sweet moment. A lot. I 'd normally talk about them but I just kind of enjoyed watching and didn't feel like pausing and transcribing. (:
[Ep24] While FRC is busy at war, her hubby XJK is busy waiting for her message, lol. He promised to not interfere because she's a big girl now. However, how can he not be worried? The only problem is his magical abilities have almost vanished. Still, he goes to find her via mankind way i.e. by horse. Luckily FRC can fend for herself. She's promoted and becomes a general who's recognized by all the soldiers.
For the past I don't know how many episodes, I have completely ignored this side of the story in my mini recaps. This romantic brick is in love with Du Xian Yin (and not my beautiful Lian Yi). She's still her mother's pawn to take over the world. YMY doesn't know it yet, he just wants to protect her (and make her queen). She too is in love with him but can she give up her mother?
[Ep25] Du Xian Yin, the murderer of the general, gets to marry YMY. But not so fast, FRC, Lian Yi, Dang Dang, and Lin Yue Cong gather evidence against DXY. It's just not enough to prove DXY guilty. It does, however, postpone the wedding. Why would they marry just days after the general's death?
[Ep26] The flower on FRC and XJK's bodies belong to the Flower Dance Goddess. It's the goddess's way to kill FRC silently. Whenever FRC and XJK are physically intimate, the flower goddess's power/curse will sift from one body to another. XJK, being a magical master of some sort, can handle the curse but FRC cannot. Hence to protect her, XJK has to leave her. That night she asks him to sing. He does sing, but she doesn't know it's his farewell song. Despite leaving her brokenhearted, he still loves her and protects her from afar.
[Ep27] This is a sad episode. DXY's mom disguises as DXY and kills LY. She lets LY leave half dead in order for her to tell YMY of DXY's supposed evil deed. At least my poor LY got to die in the arms of the man she loves. YMY finally believes DXY is the culprit (but this time she really is innocent). He pierces his sword through her. Hatred boils just as Mom had wanted. It is now war.
Every possible couple has been successfully broken up. If you think that's it to the tragedy, there's more. Dang Dang dies protecting his rightful Golden Winged Queen, FRC. He kept his pinky promise until his death. Two dear characters of mine had died in one episode. Was not expecting this.
[Ep28] FRC faints on the battleground and XJK protects her but leaves immediately.
Xu Yu guy comes to kill XJK but once again he fails. His master throws him away. Fortunately for him, DXY saves him. Now she is his new master. Seeing her depressed, Xu Yu proceeds to perform an awkward dance. It was cringey. I did not know this man was capable of smiling.
[Ep29] DXY's life doesn't get any easier. The man she loves hates her and her mom is not her mom. Xuan Ji (the Mom) is the murderer of her entire family. She was abandoned by DXY's father because she was a mere human. This explains Xuan Ji's hatred to the Winged Tribes. After learning that her "mother" is the one person who ruined her entire life, she works with FRC to save YMY. She also kills Xuan Ji with her own hands.
With FRC's health recovering, she realizes that's the reason XJK left her. When she catches him behind her back, she runs to hug him. She doesn't want him to leave anymore. She believes there will be a miracle between them because meeting him was already a miracle. With that, he decides to stay. Let's hope he stays for good this time.
[Ep30] There's a war to fight and our lovers spend their last peaceful and sweet night together. FRC grabs the moon for XJK, imagines their child together, gives him a proposal and a proposal present. Gosh. She even locks herself with a love bracelet giving the only key to XJK. His reply, however, is to take all her memories of him. The next morning, FRC wakes up in tears not knowing why she's crying or why there's a bracelet on her. I shouldn't have said that he would stay for good too soon. XJK is also in tears. Even if it brings him immense pain, he doesn't regret loving her. The thought of forgetting her pains him more. Then why are you making her forget you!
YMY isn't happy either. No one's happy. He learns the general he always admired was no righteous hero, neither were his comrades. He knows DXY loves him but he can't forgive her. He'll also have to face his dire birth origins very soon. Like, XJK, YMY is an orphan, but he's actually the heir of the Wei Clan, the current evil king.
[Ep31] YMY even has to suffer the lost of his love. DXY dies to protect him (from his "father's" men). Argh, I feel sad for her too. There's another person grieving her loss: Xu Yu.
With countless lives sacrificed for this war, FRC finally returns to her throne. This time she's deserving of it.
[Ep32] If you thought YMY's suffering ends there, it doesn't. While getting revenge for the woman he loves (when DXY clearly told him not to), he ends up killing his father. And now he's seeking revenge for the man who led him to kill his father. This endless revenge... So debatable who had the more tragic character: Du Xian Yin or Yun Mu Yang. No wonder these two were so attracted to each other.
[Ep33] Although XJK made FRC forget him, he still remains at her side as her teacher (once again). It was only a matter of time until she remembers him. She kisses him and thankfully, he kisses her back. However, she immediately faints from the flower by her ear. Ugh. He's about to kill himself to really protect her this time. But his buddy, Xing Shang Li, comes to save the day. Yay! clap clap clap. I was so happy to see him have a solution (to use the Flower God's jade to suck up the curse) but I didn't know it would mean to sacrifice his life. I'm sad again. Happily ever after! No. There's still one more episode. The jade works (with the buddy's sacrifice) but it's not working quick enough. The curse is still going to take XJK's life. However he keeps it a secret from FRC know and continues to plan their marriage. Instead it's YMY who reveals it to FRC.
YMY seems to be converted to darkness. He's working with the Teletubby, who has a name! It's Jin Nian. This beast has a vengeance for XJK/Fang Wu Yi and wants him killed. He promises YMY that he will revive DXY for him
[Ep34] FRC is determined to sacrifice her life for XJK but she gets used by YMY and almost kills XJK. Not. This girl is now smart and saw through YMY's lies right from the beginning. The possessed YMY is not a match for XJK but he manages to destroy the Flower God Jade. Ultimately, XJK had to kill himself to protect FRC but he promises her he'll still protect her in death. True to his words, XJK protects her from the deadly beast who's unleashed because of XJK's death. He continues to protect her from the possessed YMY who succumbs to his own demise. After the ultimate showdown with the beast, FRC comes out victorious but from then on she's lost her smile. Luckily XJK isn't gone for good but his body is frozen in thick, thick layers of ice.
Ten Years Later. The ice finally melts with a single drop of tear from her. Xue Jing Kong is revived! But he doesn't have his memory. I'm still happy because it doesn't matter. FRC will tell him all about it. It's not like it's the first time he forgot her anyways. They always remember each other. It's only a matter of time. A perfect happy ending. I love how he goes back to the beginning him. Man this drama is so good at weaving storylines.
[Ep13] FRC is jailed up after she accidentally gives a fake map to Lian Yi. She's completing Yang Guard's mission on behalf of him so the Silver Winged Iron Ride Tribe can win the war. His buddy confronts him he shouldn't believe in a curse (that he'll kill her one day)
XJK: I can't use her life as a bargain.
[Ep15] Except XJK gets played by his own game and gets jealous too when she gets too close to another man. This episode becomes a battle of making the other more jealous. I think FRC won? She doesn't know it yet though.

She doesn't know about the first time when she was an infant when he almost killed her.
XJK: Compared to your health and safety, winning and losing doesn't matter. If you continue to be like this, you're going to risk your life. But how can XJK refuse the FRC who's resolute on succeeding? He trains her but their fight sequence looks more like a dance of love. It's all in preparation so she can enter a fight simulation against her arch enemies. Once she can defeat them, she will have succeeded in conquering her fears. She pleads with XJK to not enter the simulation to help her otherwise she'd never learn to be independent. She even drugs his drink to ensure he can’t help her. I'm really liking the current FRC. Also, it seemed like the actress put a lot of effort in this scene. Commendable.
FRC: I'm not afrai-
XJK: I'm afraid. Oof, XJK accidentally let that slip out.
FRC: This is my first birthday present for you. From here on whenever it snows, I will give you another birthday present. It's only until these past few episodes I'm totally supporting XJK's undying love her. She deserves it. She's won me over.Fang Qi Mo puts in his last effort to pursue FRC but his rival, XJK is actually quite the formidable match for him. XJK's real identity is his great, great grandfather, Fang Wu Yi. HA. Omg the whole reveal was so funny. It's even funnier because Qi Mo had always lived on the glory of his great great grandfather. He admired him for his amazing magical skills and for sealing the evil bad guy (the Teletubby). It's not clear but I think the drama tried to clarify that XJK is adopted into the Fang family and never continued the Fang ancestry. Therefore he never had a wife. I think. Anyways, now with his new identity, XJK has every right to halt his great great grandson from trying to steal his girl. Qi Mo, you're two hundred years too late to rival your great great grandfather for the same girl.
FRC teases him: Ah Che, Ah Che, Ah Che x10They're about to kiss but his hand tingles again. It's Xu Yu again. FRC is disappointed she didn't get her kiss. The actress's "Hah" sounded so real, lol. However, there's more to be worried about. XJK almost dies at the hands of Xu Yu.
XJK: Ah Che. That emotion. Ah Che.
FRC timidly smiles: I heard it (the first time). I wanted to say that no matter how difficult the path is, as long as it's with you, it won't be difficult at all. I just hope that this path would continue to be longer and longer. I wish the path would never end. Fu Ji, can you not walk alone either? Aw.
FRC: Xue Jing Kong, I like you. - dramatic pause - I don't want you to be my teacher anymore. I want you to be my husband. These dramas, always jumping the gun. Forever and ever you must be with me. Do you hear me?XJK was about to correct himself but she shushes him because she doesn't want to hear the answer if it's not what she wants. One day she'll definitely win his love, it's just a matter of time as per her words. We all know he loves her, he's just not allowing himself because of that wretched curse. It turns out that he pleaded Feng Tian Yi (Season One hero; Season Two heroine's father) to kill him in order to save her the first time. To continue to protect her (from himself) he will continue to suppress his feelings. However, the more he suppresses, the more he thinks of her. There was this super sweet kiss scene but too bad it was all just XJK's dream.
XJK accidentally whispers: I hear you.
[Ep23] There's only so much a girl can pour her heart out when the man she loves doesn't return it. Heartbroken, she tells the XJK who's leaving her that she'll do her best to forget him. She walks away, turning her back towards him. But...
XJK: I will not allow you to forget me!He zaps right in front of her to kiss her. They walk down the same path they did last time. He asks her what kind of present she had wanted. She pokes at the corner of his lips and he smiles. She tells him she had only wanted his smile and she already received it. They continue to walk and her hand brushes across his. She hesitates but he takes the initiative this time to hold her hand. All is lovely until an ominous flower glows behind her ears. Uh oh. Is is the same flower as on XJK's back?
After a cute umbrella scene where FRC teaches XJK how to be romantic, there are two heartbroken onlookers. Lin Yue Cong pouts that she might be getting a Shi Niang (master's wife). Meanwhile Fang Qi Mo sulks he might be getting a new grandmother. LOL.

He promises YMY that he will revive DXY for him
Remarks
[Season One] I don't think I finished it. I vaguely remember Zhang Ruo Yan, especially his eyes. I also remember Jin Yi's beautiful entrance into the drama. I do also remember Guang Xiao Tong being mediocre. I don't think I dropped the drama, I just didn't finish it for some reason. It's two very different things. Dropping it means an internal stop i.e. I don't want to watch it. Not finishing it means there were external factors i.e. I had no time.
[First Impression (Ep1-8)] There's actually A LOT of content. I'm not sure if it's because I didn't watch the first season but I really had to pay attention to understand what was happening. There are references to Season One. For example the father of Feng Ru Che is the main lead in season one. I wish someone can tell me the ending of that season so I can understand where this drama starts off. Back to this drama, I'm curious about the plot, like I said, a lot of stuff is going on. The main motive of this drama starts with Xue Jing Kong's search of his brother, Yun Mu Yang, who's in search of his sister, Lian Yi. And then on the side there is The Queen of the Winged Tribe. I'm still a little lost where this plot is taking me but for now I'm in it for the ride. I also like how pretty the drama is and there's all these neat inventions.
[Actors/Actresses] I liked Xu Zheng Xi's short but memorable role in Fairyland Lovers so it's nice seeing him clinch a male lead here. He's effortlessly funny. He makes me believe he's in love with her and I buy it. I've never seen the leading actress but it's unfortunate how I find all the other supporting actresses prettier than her. She hasn't yet won me over but I appreciate how she's willing to distort her face to create her cheerful character. [Ending Update] Whoever gathered this cast deserves a praise. There's no top star in this, but the cast is made of stellar actors and actresses. I don't think the drama lucked out with the casting, more like it actively sought out for actors of high calibre only. Xu Zheng Xi is not your regular male lead, but he has the charisma and acting talent that many tops stars don't. Wang Yu Wen's not your regular pretty actress but she's equally talented if not more and displays a wide range of emotions here. The actor for Dang Dang, Li Dai Kun, had a small role but a memorable one. That pinky. I recently saw him in "The Unknown" and I loved him there. I was also surprised to see Xu Xiao Nuo. Her role was so significant in growth of FRC; easily hateful in the beginning but slowly becomes endearing. I'm glad I got to see Wang Zi Qi again since "Love is in the Air". Other commendable actors: Daisy Li (Lian Yi; I love her), Chai Ge (Fang Qi Mo), and the actor for Xing Shang Li.
[Ending] Beautifully done. A little hiccup in which I don't quite know where and how the evil beast was defeated. However, the drama has built up so much credibility, I'm willing to believe whatever the scriptwriters throws at me. The way XJK came back alive was hinted since his origins were first revealed. His ultimate amnesia ties a nice knot to the repeated amnesic theme in the drama. She forgot him twice; he forgot her twice. It's fair. Her amnesia was his doing; his amnesia was her doing although not on purpose. Both times, he was saving her and each time it costed him his life. XJK is destined to love her over and over again.
That's the beautiful part of the drama but there's also the tragic part. Luckily, it's not our main characters. Between Yun Mu Yang and Du Xian Yin, I'd give the tragic award to YMY. Despite DXY having a terrible upbringing, at least she died as a good person protecting the one she loves. She even gained a loyal friend/servant (Xu Yu) along the way. YMY died fruitlessly with no friends or family to grieve for him. DXY gained love nearing her death but YMY lost it all. He had so many people who loved him but he died alone. The number of deaths in this drama caught me by surprise. Honestly, the only happy people are our main leads. Still, I think the ending was done as perfect as it could be.
[Review] I liked it! This drama had a clear agenda of where the plot needed to go and delivered with each episode. I was never able to predict what was going to happen next. It also didn't feel like the drama was pulling random tricks out of no where (cough, Fairyland Lovers). There were always hints laid out a dozen episodes prior to the actual event. I love how the plot just kept getting thicker and thicker and it made sense. Not a single episode was a filler. As the direction of the drama became clearer and clearer, I really enjoyed Feng Ru Che's journey to Queendom. A lot of characters get introduced part way through and they became so valuable to her character growth. I was amazed at how the drama could flesh out so many roles and plots and balance the main romance along with FRC's amazing character growth in thirty minute intervals. The new characters weren't mediocrely created either. Among everything the drama had to juggle, it didn't forget to make me laugh here and there. Xu Zheng Xi was brilliant at carrying the lightness of the drama but also having so much depth in his acting. I have endless praises for this drama but there is one flaw for me. I couldn't quite buy the chemistry between the leads. I can see it in their acting but I couldn't feel it. Nonetheless, purely from the storyboard, to the acting, to how the story was told, this drama deserves all the love it can get if not more.
