[Ep1] The man who can read someone else's past with one touch meets...

...the woman who turns into a new identity when midnight strikes.

[Ep2] And she is the only person who's past he cannot read.

The story thus far: Kong Yi Fei is suspected of murder. Han Xue can prove his innocence but she only appears at midnight and disappears at 6am. When Han Bing wakes up, she no longer has the memory of her younger sister's (Han Xue). These sisters have a very different relationship with Kong Yi Fei: one seductively flirts with him; the other hates him to the gut because he destroyed her hardwork as a righteous reporter.

[Ep3] KYF saves HB who's become the murderer's new target because she's the only witness. This case has spiked her curiosity as a professional reporter. Meanwhile Kong Yi Fei, who's not only interested in the case as a criminal psychologist, but also in her for being immune to him. (By the way Kong Yi Fei's special ability began after he had a heart surgery)

[Ep4] As flirtatious as HX is, once she realizes KYF is interested in her sister, she draws a hard line between them. She might be bratty and spoiled but she's protecting her older sister from being hurt by another man again.

[Ep5] I think KYF has fallen in love with her, but which persona is he in love with? Meanwhile the case is becoming a serial murder, killing those who are "too selfish".

[Ep7] The witness they trusted is actually an accomplice to the serial murderer and HB allowed him to go on national television depicting the last moments of one of the victim. As a result she's fired. Now her job is on the line to find the murderer.

[Ep8] HB and YF figure out the criminal's next target: YF's idol student. When they find her, it's midnight and HB transforms into the sexy HX. I think I love HX more. With zero bias, HX is able to guide YF to the right direction. The target isn't the idol student but the regular students who's been bullying her. Will YF and HX save the soon to be victims in time?

[Ep9] HB and YF are racing against time but his heart starts racing too much instead so he borrows her hand to keep himself calm. When they find the students they realized they had the wrong target again. The murderer has successfully added another death to his/her list. It’s a high school alumni rather than a university student.  However, because of HB and YF’s timely appearance at the crime scene every single time, HB and YF from witness and adviser become the top suspects. It doesn't help that HB doesn't have HX's memories to prove his alibi.

[Ep10] HX isn't willing to help HB prove YF's innocence because she doesn't want his sister to fall in love with YF. HX just has a sister complex and doesn't want her precious older sister hurt again. Thus, HB finds another way to eliminate his suspicions. When he's released, she waits for him outside and he naturally holds her hand. However, when he asks her out over dinner, she tells him she can't date. Then follows an awkward dinner. He doesn't pick up the key word, it's not that she can't date him, it's that she can't date at all.

[Ep11] HB is getting fed up at her sister (who is prohibiting her from dating the man she likes and hurting her best friend) and so she finally decides to consult a psychiatrist. Meanwhile KYF is recovering from a car accident. He tries to get pity points to get HB to care for him, it's cute.

Later that night, HX appears and learns of HB's psychiatrist consultation. Angry and heartbroken, she purposely pours boiled hot water on her own arm to get back at her sister.

HB and YF are quite similar. Their unique abilities have made people they love leave them. His mom left him because she grew afraid. Her boyfriend left her because he couldn't accept her multiple personality disorder. I really want these two to be honest with each other. 

[Ep12] The next murder is at the amusement park. The duo figure it out just before it's too late but the victim remains in a coma. KYF also develops a heart problem right at this time. Even if curiosity is boiling in her blood, she stays with him at the hospital bed until he wakes up (then leaves to the scene the moment he's up).

[Ep13] HB is at her psychiatrist and for some reason he's waking up HX. However, the hypnosis is interrupted with YF's entrance. He was traceing the recent comatose victim’s memories to this psychiatrist's office. However, the psychiatrist doesn’t reveal anything because of patient confidentiality.

HB tells him he's at the psychiatrist because of her childhood trauma: witnessing the murder of her entire family. Oh. YF doesn't know what to say but hugs her. She cries in his shoulder.

At the next session, the psychiatrist (Wu Yan) makes HX appear again. HX is enamored with the sunlight because she's never seen the afternoon sun. He says something very scary: "I can let you see the light any time." He asks her when she first appeared in HB’s body, she replies it’s when she had to be witness to the murderer of her entire family; HB was too weak to stand trial.

I have not mentioned these two, Xu Gao Sheng and Zhang Xiao Zhen. They're good friends with YF and HB respectively. They've also dated before.

An update on the case thus far: the murderer's motives are all focused on getting revenge for Li Xin Rui. She was killed in a car accident 15 years ago, the driver fled away. Prior to the accident she was constantly bullied by four other girls. The bullying was all captured on camera and the photographer won an award for it. The murderer is out to catch the real driver who fled the scene (not the one arrested by the police), the photographer who only watched from the side, and the four girls who bullied her.

[Ep14] The only person alive on that hit list is the real driver. YF and HB are tracing back to the car accident scene hoping to locate the driver. They do. It's this rich trash but he's so lawyered up and rich, no one can charge him of any crime.

Night falls, YF drops off HB but he wants to see her more and asks her out to a movie. She walks back out of the house, agreeing to go on the date. At the movie theatre, their hands slightly touch. She's retracts but he grabs her back.

YF: In this whole entire world, holding your hand makes me feel the most at ease.

[Ep15] The rich trash gets his retribution. The murderer locks him in his car and tolls it to a compactor and he's almost squashed to his death. The whole time the murderer is recording and threatening him to admit to his crime. He does. And he’s alive to serve jail time.

HB and YF are playing cupid and invite Xu Gao Sheng and Zhang Xiao Zhen for dinner. They're not actually a couple yet but XGS would take her drink for her and help her get food, etc. HB nudges YF and (slowly but) smartly finds a way to leave the two love birds alone. HB feels guilty for their breakup because ZXZ would always neglect her boyfriend (XGS) to take care of her. There's more to their friendship. ZXZ's father was the police officer who found her after she hid herself in the cupboard from the murderer of her family.

[Ep16] HX now appears in response to sunlight. Uh oh.

When HB is at her psychiatrist, he makes HX appear again. But HX runs away. She causes a mess and is arrested. YF goes to pick her up and she's no longer HX. A very confused HB cries and refuses to explain her current state to YF. He tells her he'll wait for the day she opens up. Still worried about her, he reaches out to her friend, ZXZ. ZXZ tells him that it’s her family that owes her. HB's father was a witness to a murder case but the murderer found out and went directly to his home to slaughter his family.

The case: The fake driver who took the charge for the rich trash opens up. He actually met Li Xin Rui's father during his jail time and he vowed to get revenge for his daughter. There was also another accomplice who had guided him to reveal everything on national television. But he hasn't seen this other accomplice, only heard his voice.

The psychiatrist makes HX appear again. This time he has a mission for her. We don't get to know what it is yet though because the scene cuts to YF. He discovers that the psychiatrist has connections with the substitute driver (who took the false charge). He's the voice that controlled him? Before he can tell HB, she's already at his office. Only it's not HB. Feeling odd, he asks her who she is. She tells him: "I am Han Xue."

[Ep17] He immediately catches on to her multiple personality disorder. He's not repulsed, instead he empathizes with her. The next morning, he doesn't expose her instead helps her cover up her lie. He meets up with ZXZ and confronts her about Han Xue. He now understands everything: HB thinks she's lending her body to her twin sister but she actually has a multiple personality disorder. He's now relieved to hear this. It's good news to him, he's got two girls to love: Han Bing and Han Xue. The crazy loves the crazy. He truly does love her as he continues to seek out his psychiatrist friend to help him diagnose HB. This friend notes that whenever he talks about her, his eyes light up. The friend tells him one way to heal her is love. He smiles. Awww I really like the YF in this episode.

HX appears at night (her regular time) but she's upset her sister left a note telling her she's happy she's found the one she loves. HX feels her presence is threatened and runs to the psychiatrist begging him to not make her disappear. He tells her it's an inevitable fact. She leaves the office (but I don't know if the psychiatrist has told her anything else). HX goes to a nightclub where YF saves her from trouble. It's like he's trying to seduce HX now. He tells her he didn't tell HB about knowing HX’s existence because he loves her, both of her because they're all her. She snickers.

[Ep18] From the psychiatrists words, HX thinks that if YF loves her, she won't disappear. So that night she works on seducing him and gives him a peck on the cheek before leaving. HX also leaves a diary for her sister implying that YF likes her (HX). Sooooo HB is going to be jealous of herself? I hope HB doesn't fall for her sister's ploy because YF is so caring towards her, even preparing an umbrella for her while she's reporting the weather. However, even if HB doesn't fall to her sister's ploy, HX has fallen for the psychiatrist's ploy in distancing herself from her sister. But among all her confusion, it seems like HX recognizes the psychiatrist. Why?

[Ep19] HX is being pushed to her limits and wants to commit suicide with her sister. YF receives her call and runs to her. Screaming to her he loves her. He repeats it and repeats it until he finally wakes up HB. Aw I can feel his pain and love. Good actor.  He pulls her in for a tight embrace. He tells her he understands her but she's astonished how he can when she doesn't herself. She's still not ready to open up.

That night HX appears and YF asks to meet up. He reminds her that her presence is meaningful as well. Seems like HX is slowly falling in love with YF as well especially when he closes in on her to help her with her seat belt.

The next night, HB asks to meet YF at the same place he met HX. She courageously confesses everything about HX. She's prepared for the worse but he tells her he won't leave for. He asks whether it was tough on her and thanks her for telling him. He's saying all the right words. Ah.

[Ep21] For the whole day YF was unable to contact HB. He's worried sick. He should be because she (or HX) has been with Wu Yan, the psychiatrist, the entire day. Wu Yan isn't actually Wu Yan. He's Li Sheng Pei (Li Xin Rui's father) living Wu Yan's identity. YF tells HB about this (after he kisses her and makes sure she's okay and everything) but now they're worried about HX seeking out Wu Yan on her own.

There's more to this case. YF's father is also involved. Turns out Li Xin Rui died on the surgery table. YF's father knew she was still alive but still performed the surgery to remove her organs in order to save his son. Wu Yan learns of this too and almost kills YF's father if YF hadn't arrived on time. However, now there's three devastated men in the room. A father who has confirmed of her daughter's real death, a father who has to face the crime that has haunted him fifteen years ago, and a son who has learned his father killed an innocent girl to give him the heart he has now.

[Ep22] It's YF's turn to be unreachable and when HB does find him it's her turn to console him. All is good until Wu Yan shows up in front of HB, turns her into HX, and leaves with her in the car. Oh shiet.
[Ep23] Wu Yan kidnaps HB/HX. He can make HX stay forever, is what he tells her to convince her to help him. HX agrees to expose the truth of his daughter's death. She takes the video clip of YF's father admitting to his crime to HB's office but the chief refuses to broadcast it. On her way out of the office, she bumps into KYF and lies that she's right now HB.
[Ep24] However, ZXZ recognizes immediately that it's HX instead. Everyone's hating on her except YF. He tells her if she wants to reveal the truth, then do it the right way, the way HB would. Thus HX does what she wants. As a result, KYF's father is arrested.

[Ep25] The father and son get some bonding time in jail. YF is in there for hitting some random stranger. This is probably the first time these two men had a heart-to-heart talk. YF never had a good relationship with his father since the heart transplant because his father was always repulsive against his supernatural ability. At the police office, they share their last meal until his father is brought away to pay for his crimes. Someone give the crying YF a hug.

It's as if the show heard my prayers. YF brings HX to the wood HB had brought him to when he was feeling down. Voila, HB is back. He runs to hug her and he tells her not to worry. Together, they go to the hospital where she's admitted as a patient.

By the way, HX finally remembers why she thought WY looked familiar. She was the witness to the first murder. HX had already seen WY's face that night murdering the lady in the washroom.

[Ep26] HB is forced to face her multiple personality disorder and that her sister doesn't actually exist. She also breaks down when she learns she's the one who exposed YF's father's crimes. That night she runs to his house not knowing that he's also running to her place. The boy doesn't care what she did, he just loves her.  They almost miss each other but luckily she's still waiting there for him when he comes home.

HB: I don't have the right to love someone.
YF: I need you. Really Really need you. 

But she still leaves him the next morning. She had planned to run away the entire time. Heartbreak aside, YF has another looming problem. WY's next target is YF. Why? He has no part in the daughter's death. WY threatens him to get in his car otherwise HB will be in danger. On the way they get into the car accident, which is exactly how WY wanted to die with YF.

[Ep27] Prior to the accident WY reveals that Li Xin Rui has the same ability YF does or to be more precise it's LXR's heart that gave YF the ability to see the past. It is also because of that ability she was ostracized and bullied. YF manages to survive the car accident and does everything he can to save the unconscious WY, or I should go by his real name Li Sheng Pei. Both men survive and it's time for LSP to pay for his crimes.

News of LSP's arrest finally reaches HB. She's at a resort of some sort treating her psychological disorder. She calls up her friend to make sure YF is alive but HB still can't return yet. Whyyyy. He needs you, he's even crying in his sleep dreaming about you.

[Ep28] HB is still at her counselling session. There, she reveals she has one regret her entire life: not opening that cupboard to save her sister. Ah. Although she isn't ready to find him, he's desperate to find her. When YF collapses from heart pain (physical or emotional), she wants to run towards him but cowards out. Han Xue suddenly appears in front of her. She tells her to go to him and that she'll disappear because there's someone else to protect her now. HB thanks her sister and runs towards YF.

YF confesses to her about his supernatural ability. She’s not repulsive at all and asks what she can do to help him. Simple. He just needs her to stay by his side. His smile makes me smile.

Meanwhile LSP is officially charged for his crimes. YF wanted to verify LSP's feelings (whether he truly has no regrets) so he walked past him and touched his hand. YF read fear. Cold blooded murderers also have fear. Although LSP is a murderer his message resonates: let's not have bullied victims like Lin Xin Rui. He just chose the wrong way to punish those people. And that's the focus of Han Bing's reporting.

Xu Gao Sheng and Zhang Xiao Zhen are official.

It's a happily ever after as YF and HB are regulars at crime scenes now. She’s still a reporter and he’s still a consultant.

Remarks

[Characters] I wished her multiple personality disorder wasn't just a disorder. I wanted it to be like a supernatural ability just like Kong Yi Fei's ability to see the past. Nonetheless, the drama did very well to make me see things from Han Bing's standpoint that her sister actually exists. Applauds. I really like the actress's ability to portray both personalities so convincingly. Whenever Han Xue appears, she's so mesmerizing and charismatic. I'm not interested in her in that way but if I can see my eyes when I watch her, they're probably dilating. Then when she switches back to Han Bing, I'm totally supportive of her. Her, co-star may have a lackluster role against hers but he's equally if not more outstanding. When he's in pain, I'm in pain. This guy is good. Love the scene where he's shouting his heart out to HX who's about to commit suicide and the father and son's last dinner. He's such a convincing actor. He really made me believe Kong Yi Fei loves Han Bing.

[Verdict] Impressed. Really good suspense, crime drama. Such an intriguing setup. Excellent balance between the case and the romance. Love the actors/actresses. Didn't even know this drama existed, thankfully I found it.
