• As of 2026, she is still with Huanyu Film (Yu Zheng; 歡娛影視) ever since 2016. The agency is also home to Xu Kai,Wang Xing Yue, Xia Zhi Guang.
• Blew up in 2018 with Story of Yanxi Palace and revived her career again 2024 with The Double, quite the feat. 
• Married to Hong Yao in September 2024. Most people know them from Story of Yanxi Palace but they did have an actual drama together as a CP in Fighting Youth (which was not a good drama, so understandable that no one knows). 🍉 Hong Yao has been controversial. He first gained attention through a dating reality show, dated the girl, and then cheated (leaked intimate photos with another underaged woman). In 2019, he accidentally uploaded a photo that showed Wu Jin Yan leaning on his shoulder inside a car, which fans accused him of clout-chasing. But at the end of the day, she seems happy that this man is her child's father.

Double Breakthroughs… and Double Disappearances.

• Hiatus 1:  CCTV Controversy (August 2018). At the peak of Story of Yanxi Palace popularity, state broadcaster CCTV6’s China Movie Report (@中國電影報道) publicly criticized her and her team on Weibo for for allegedly changing an interview venue at the last minute, requesting CCTV cover additional venue costs, and creating scheduling complications. This created a lingering "diva" narrative that damaged her reputation.
• Hiatus 2: Marriage and motherhood (September 13, 2024). Just months after The Double restored her popularity, she stunned us all by announcing her marriage with Hong Yao. They skipped dating announcement entirely, going straight to "we're married." By the promotional period for Kill Me Love Me in October 2024, just one month later, she was visibly pregnant. That did not stop her promoting while wielding a whip.
