[Drama Info]
Zhao Lu Si collaborates with the same director from her Dating in the Kitchen. Director Chen Chang’s other dramas are all modern romances as well: Nothing but You, As Beautiful As You, Lie or Love, and When You Be Me. This drama also brings Zhao Lu Si back together with The Story of Pearl Girl cast: Tang Xiao Tian and cute kiddo Fu Bo Han.
The premiere is especially significant for Zhao Lu Si as it's her first drama release since she fell ill with severe anxiety, depression, and related health issues in December 2024, the same period when filming for Lovers (with Peng Guan Ying) was abruptly halted.
Adding to the tension, Zhao Lu Si is currently in an (unresolved) dispute with her agency, Yinhe Kuyu Media (KU Media). In August 2025, she publicly accused the company of unlawfully deducting funds from her studio without approval. The deduction was initially meant to cover penalties for canceled endorsements during her illness. Zhao Lu Si further claimed the agency threatened to blacklist her if she went public. The agency has denied all allegations.
With these circumstances, (her) fans are watching closely, worried that this drama, along with Lovers (that somehow has enough footage to air as a drama!), could be her final work as an actress.
