The first 10ish episodes are actually the "best" part of this show.
The plot hinges on ML not speaking. If he explained anything in Ep11 or 22, there’d be no drama left. That’s the whole show.

April really is tax season for most of the world. With Song Zu Er making a comeback, we're also reminded – in the opposite direction – that Yuan Bing Yan is cancelled (😭) over her 2023 tax evasion.
Hu Yi Xuan steps in with a mix of AI-face-swapping and re-filming. (My personal take: if YBY's company hadn’t sidelined her and suppressed her dramas from airing on time, we could’ve watched this drama properly – without all the weird AI.) Things you don't need to know: Liu Xue Yi is older than Hu Yi Xuan by 4 years, but because of AI, they're actually the same age on our screens.
The director Zhao Li Jun has been working solely for Cheng Yi it seems, just none are his popular ones: Deep Lurk, The Imperial Age, and the The Promise of Chang'an. Co-directing is Ying Ying Lu. She's mostly done modern dramas: Where the Lost Ones Go, and The Silence of the Monster.
OG is by Su Ke who also wrote Song of the Moon.
It's a The Blood of Youth reunion between Liu Xue Yi and Ao Rui Peng except they met first on this set, and then started filming TBoY the following month.
