[Ep1] Qi Nian is failing as a manhua artist. In the ending of her last manhua, she made her female character kick the male character after he confessed his love. If a story I read ended that way, I’d kick the author. Her next project needs to be a hit or else her manhua artist career is over. As she’s drawing up her new work, a dog (Qi Bao) walks up to her. She feels a sense of familiarity with Qi Bao because they have the same last name. This dog brings her to his owner. He’s Ji Yan Xin. With the dog being cupid in disguise, he pushes Ji Yan Xin over Qi Nian. They both fall down and he accidentally kisses her. After the kiss, her heart rate picks up. She’s still on the floor; he asks her whether or not she’s going to get up. I guess he’s not the type of guy to help her up. Qi Nian is shocked. She has found her inspiration. She asks him for his contact information. A direct type of contact. However, she has to rush back to give in her draft. She asks him if he can wait for her at this spot. She knows it’s a ridiculous request but she has her reasons. He doesn’t answer her but he actually waits for her. Thus Ji Yan Xin and Qi Bao patiently wait for love at this bench.

She was doodling in his class (his face + his abs) and he makes her stay after class. Her friend compliments her that she’s the first one who he made stay after class (on the first day of class).
Qi Nian is also able to open the box that he didn’t think any of his students can decipher. Now Qi Nian gets a wish from him of any kind.
[Ep2] Ji Yan Xin thinks Qi Nian is a stalker. It doesn’t help her case when she doodles him and there’s a memory card in her bag that’s full of his pictures (it doesn’t belong to Qi Nian though: the girl who took them slipped it in her bag). Since Qi Nian deciphered his box, he has to accept her request. It’s a very simple one. She wants to see him everyday. Totally not a stalker or anything like that. And so he lets her become his teaching assistant. She happily accepts that job. But there’s a caveat. It’s only for a week. If she can make him call her name in a week, he’ll consider keeping her. When he first heard her name though he thought she suits “Five” better. Her surname is Qi. In Chinese it sounds like seven. Meanwhile he’s calling her Five because English “Five” sounds like Fei Wu (“Trash” in Chinese).
[Ep5] Qi Nian shows up at Ji Yan Xin’s company. Her friend is there to give her documents to send to Ji Yan Xin’s home. This friend also knows she confessed on this bus. Remember how her friends were complaining about their superiors that night when she talked about her new inspiration? All three friends were admiring/complaining about the same guy.
Qi Nian is at Ji Yan Xin’s home. She misunderstands that he’s gay when his friend (Shao Zui) is showering and wearing PJ’s in his home. His friend is actually his butler in charge of his food. Qi Nian takes a bite of his food and pukes but Ji Yan Xin can eat it without any emotion. Shao Zui tells her that he can eat anything if he’s reading. Qi Nian calls it torture. Thus, she takes his job and becomes Ji Yan Xin’s maid. The plot is...rather casual lol.
Qi Nian motivates Ji Si Qi to continue his dream of being a manhua artist. He ran away from home and he has this controlling brother who’s against his dreams. Ah, so it’s Ji Yan Xi.
The next morning, Qi Nian makes a delicious breakfast for Ji Yan Xi. She notices his injured hand but he says it’s nothing. Knowing he stayed up the night, she complains she might as well be a live in maid and take care of him during the night. He calmly asks her “How are you planning to take care of me for the night?” He reminds her that she’s a girl. She should pay attention to her words.
The morning continues as Qi Nian proceeds to water his grass while playing with Qi Bao (dog). Through the water, she notices Ji Yan Xin smiling at her. She drops her hose. Water starts splattering everywhere. Instinctively, she runs behind him and both of them are drenched. Feeling bad, she compliments his back sure looks secure. He tells her to stop sucking up, lol. Before he leaves home, he hands over her keys with an extra key on it. It’s the key to his home and his heart. Is her keychain a mini Ji Yan Xi?
[Ep6] Qi Nian enters into Ji Yan Xin’s forbidden room because a telephone keeps ringing. Once she picks up the call, no one speaks on the other end. It’s a call from a telephone booth so when she calls back no one picks up. Ji Yan Xin is right behind her. He’s mad at her for entering without his permission. He doesn’t talk to her and locks himself in the room. He’s only listening to his speakers. The next audio file is one that Qi Nian recorded to apologize to him.
A depressed Qi Nian leaves because Ji Yan Xin still hasn’t spoken to her. She’s comforted by the night lights that are lighting up her path to the bus stop. Last time she had tripped here. On his balcony, Ji Yan Xin is peeking at her and smiling. Omgggg he made the night lights for her. He saw her fall last time. That’s why he injured his hand.
Since Ji Yan Xin never told her whether he forgave her, Qi Jian doesn’t show up at his place anymore. Ji Yan Xin would sometimes call out her name by accident. He's the man who doesn’t remember names.
Ji Qiu calls up Qi Nian and tells her Ji Yan Xin has a fever. Qi Nian quickly shows up. Thinking he doesn't want to her see her, she begins to leave but he grabs her back. Being pretty weak, he topples over and they both fall to the ground.
Qi Nian stares at a sick Ji Yan Zi on the couch. In her imagination she sees four options on what to do next. It’s like those online simulation games. I thought this scene was funny. She chooses to splash him with water... but he’s like that’s what you’re going to do to help a sick person. She gives him another option to cool down: take off his clothes. Qi Nian thought he wouldn't. But he did. It’s Qi Nian who’s shy and turns around.

Qi Nian stays up for nights to finish her manhua by the deadline. She develops a fever, despite that, she brings a USB for Ji Yan Xin that he needs for his presentation. He calls her by her name. He notices she looks sick but she tells him to go. He’s wary to leave her alone and he’s right. She faints. Ji Yan Xin brings her to the hospital. He ditched his presentation for her. His fan girl tells Qi Nian she has never seen him so worried.
Qi Nian is discharged. They take the bus. Qi Nian is distracted and doesn’t get on. Ji Yan Xin gets off and drags her on the bus by taking her hand. Qi Nian: These few days, I have thought it out. Compared to a game character, I much prefer the real you. Only you. Other people in my eye are only salty fish." The last part is a common comparison in Chinese to pit against what's useless.
He tells her that he honestly doesn't understand her but he gets the idea of it. He pats her head, “No more next time.” Meaning he’s giving her a next time. She jumps up in joy, talking about this and that. He puts his hand over her mouth and pulls her down on the couch to calm her. He needs some peace.
Qi Nian takes care of him for the whole night because he's still feverish. Ji Si Qi becomes worried about her and calls her. Not liking the call, Ji Yan Xin takes the phone from her and talks to Ji Si Qi instead. A phone call between brothers.
[Ep7] The brothers don't recognize each other's voice.
Qi Nian accidentally switches Ji Yan Xin's medication and instead of taking fever meds, he took sleeping pills. He doesn't want to fall asleep so he makes Qi Nian tell him interesting stories while he closes his eyes on her lap. She tells him she's cheating. He opens his heavy lidded eyes. He doesn't think that's interesting at all. When he falls asleep, Qi Nian secretly tells him she's a manhua artist. Her pen-name is Qi Zai. It used to be Qi Yue Qing Wu. Oh my so her work was stolen by another artist who's currently famous for her story.
Shao Zui and Ji Qiu are going to be a couple?
[Ep8] The brothers almost met but don't meet because Ji Si Qi ran away.
Ji Yan Xin saves Qi Nian from the fake Qi Yue Qing Meng (Lu Qing Wu).
Although Ji Si Qi ran away, Ji Yan Xin has his ways of finding him again. He's still disapproving of his career but Ji Si Qi is insistent on his manhua dream. As long as he has one person supporting him, that's all he needs. He's talking about Qi Nian.
Ji Yan Xin returns home to find Qi Nian sleeping on his couch. He lifts her her up and brings her to bed. When Qi Nian wakes up she thinks she's crazy because her dream of him is too real. It's not a dream. He's on her bed. He wakes up too. Instead of pushing her away like she thought he would, he pulls her in and gives her a kiss on the forehead. He also pats her to sleep. After a few more minutes, Ji Yan Xin is back up. He's carrying his pillows back to his own bed. Ah, he's sleepwalking. In his trance, he locks her in his room and it took her until morning for her to find the keys.
Qi Nian puts Ji Yan Xin's sleepwalking to good use. She uses all the poses he does with her at night to inspire her work. However, when he goes to kiss her, she stops him. She realizes she's practically taking advantage of him.
The company that signed Ji Si Qi is Lu Qing Wu's company. She's messing with him after he ruined her presscon and exposed her for not being the original author.
[Ep9] Ji Yan Xin knows that Ji Si Qi was never hired. Ji Yan Xin comforts him and forces him back to his company. They're kinda cute together. Just when he settled to drink Americano instead of pop for the rest of his life (i.e. work for his brother), Ji Si Qi receives a call from Qi Nian to notify him that their joint manhua is first place. It beat out Lu Qing Wu's. Ji Si Qi is hired into Qi Nian's company. Ji Yan Xin steals the phone from Ji Si Qi and so he gets a chance to talk to Qi Nian but neither of them recognize each other's voice.
Ji Yan Xin is sleepwalking at night again and this time they really do kiss. After the kiss, Ji Yan Xin is fully awake. Qi Nian runs away. Ji Si Qi picks her up at Ji Yan Xin's home. Ji Yan Xin sees all of this (her hugging his brother on the motorbike).
Ji Yan Xin should be comforted that Qi Nian and Ji Si Qi's bike ride wasn't that romantic. The brakes broke and they had to ride out the bike until the electricity ran out, lol. Then they had to drag it all the way back home. Ji Yan Xin knows though. He followed them all the way home. However, there's more for him to worry about. He discovers they're living in the same room (thanks to the security guard who tells him they're apparently a couple).
Ji Yan Xin uses work as an excuse to call Qi Nian back to his home meanwhile he has to speed his way back so that she doesn't know he followed her. After hearing how much she liked riding on the bike, Ji Yan Xin wants to ride with her too. However, his version of it is even less romantic than with Ji Si Qi. He finds this cheaper looking electric bike and makes her drive him! She comforts herself that at least she gets to make him hug her. However, he ruins that too. He puts a teddybear between his hands and her waist, limiting their physical contact. The bike runs out of power and Ji Yan Xin being the gentleman that he is makes her physically pedal the bike to drive him to work. Haha, so petty.
[Ep10] Ji Qiu learns Qi Nian is Qi Chai (currently her favourite artist). She's still supprotive of her favourite manhua artist. Meanwhile the CEO of Qi Nian's company is actually Shao Zui. He lies to her that Ji Yan Xin has a ex-girlfriend he's not over.
Ji Yan Xin appears like he hates manhua but in his secret room there's a whole treasury of manhua. Qi Nian was led into that room when he was sleepwalking. It was so cute how she refused to enter with all her might. Ji Yan Xin demands how she knew. She refuses to tell him and so he lifts her up in his arms and threatens to throw her in the pool. That's when it's revealed to him she knows of his sleepwalking.
Ji Yan Xin makes Qi Nian go on a business trip with him.
Second Couple: Ji Si Qi and Lu Qing Wu. They’re stuck somewhere together.
[Ep11] Qi Nian and Ji Yan Xin go on a date with the purpose of getting pictures to prove their relationship to Grandpa. To capture the best proportions of him, she lies on any floor. Meanwhile when it’s his turn to take pictures, it’s not even a problem of angle but they’re also ALL blurry. C’mon. More on their amusement park dating course: claw machine, Ferris wheel, and a confession kiss.
How the kiss happened: all of a sudden on the Ferris wheel he said I love you and kissed her. She then falls asleep (she’s a little drunk).
Second Couple: Ji Si Qi is at the same amusement park to look for Qi Nian but he keeps missing her. He arrives at the claw machine and wins Lu Qing Wu a pair of slippers because her heels are scraping her feet. Like a Princess, she stretches out her foot for Ji Si Qi to put on the slippers for her. Ji Si Qi: dream on. This second couple has quite a few cute scenes but how am I supposed to like this couple when the girl stole Qi Nian’s work as hers.... In the end, Ji Si Qi saw his brother kiss the girl he likes (with the girl who likes him on his back)
[Ep12] Qi Nian learns Ji Si Qi and Ji Yan Xin are brothers. She also misunderstands Ji Yan Xin hit Ji Si Qi. No, Ji Si Qi fell on his own.
[Ep13] Ji Si Qi realizes his brother cares about him. He rebuilt the shelves that housed his valuable manhua collection. The brothers make up. Ji Si Qi apologizes for being rebellious.
Qi Nian is fed up at Ji Yan Xin for ignoring her feelings. She's clearly pursuing him but he's indifferent. She threatens him she'll leave him. He grabs her in for a hug.
Ji Yan Xin: Don't leave, you can't leave. I need you. If you're here I can feel safe.............safe to sleep.
Simply because of that reason, Qi Nian is all fuzzy and is willing to stay.
New character: Lin Yi. The bitchy girl who's going to get in between Qi Nian and Ji Yan Xin.
[Ep14] Ji Qiu makes Ji Yan Xi and Qi Nian play a game where they have to get their heartrates up while being close to each other. He’s doing everything against what a normal person would think of like exercising (making her run after him). She suggests a different form of exercise. She’s thinking Secret Garden type of sit-ups but... 
...he’s doing this (see above). She’s angry at him and storms off. He doesn’t get it and asks what she wants. Qi Nian blurts out she wants to seduce him. She was doing it the entire day today; she even planned to attack him tonight. Before she gets to say any more of her plans, she’s embarrassed she actually said it out loud.
Ji Yan Xin gives her the chance to do what she wants. She’s shy and refuses. She’s afraid she’ll go overboard. Lol. He calls her stupid and asks, "Am I dead? If you go over, I can stop you. Thus, she kisses him. He receives it and asks her if there’s more. Qi Nian is shy and runs away.
There’s a slight problem in their relationship. Ji Yan Xin seems to know Qi Nian is hiding something (the fact that she’s using him as her manga inspiration). He orders Lin Yi to play his role as his fiancé well and reminds her it's only an act. Qi Nian doesn’t know that though.
Second Couple: Lu Qing Wu kidnaps Ji Si Qi on a cruise so that he doesn’t have to brew in jealously. She tells him she’ll support him just like Qi Nian and possibly even more.
Third Couple: Ji Qiu tells Shao Zui that if she likes anyone she'll never be like the Ji brothers, she'll be direct. Shao Zui hits her forehead.
Over dinner Ji Yan Xin asks her to date him. Qi Nian is still in denial that this can be real. He gives her a night to digest.
Qi Nian’s gut feelings tell her to reject. She’s slow to romance. She doesn’t think he can actually love her. The next morning, she confirms with him his feelings: “Is it because you haven’t done that, that’s why you’re making a move on me?” Lol. Basically, Qi Nian wants to know if he truly loves her. She’s too scared to accept him.
Ji Yan Xin: You think I love you is that simple? Come here – Hugs –

When Qi Nian is drawing her manhua, Ji Yan Xin takes her hand and kisses it. She’s on the phone with her editor but Ji Yan Xin doesn’t care and kisses her. Ji Qiu catches them almost kissing and squeals because she’s there number one CP fan.

Qi Nian finally learns Ji Si Qi liked her. To stop hurting him, she puts a hard stop to their relationship. She doesn’t want him to assist her with the manhua anymore. She also won’t rent with him anymore.
Qi Nian is upset she had to do that. She cries in Ji Yan Xin’s arms. He cancels his OT. The secretary asks why. The reason is he needs to spend time with his wife. From girlfriend to fiancée to wife in a matter of minutes.
Second Couple: Lu Qing Wu blurts out she likes Ji Si Qi and that they never slept together. She’s bothering him this whole time because she wants Ji Si Qi to stop working on the manhua with Qi Nian. She knows how much it’s hurting him.
[Ep17] Lu Qing Wu visits Shao Zui to buyout Ji Si Qi’s contract. She learns that Qi Nian had already terminated it. She also received a call from Qi Nian that she’ll be placing Ji Si Qi in her care from now on. She believes Ji Si Qi will be in good hands with Lu Qing Wu.
Ji Si Qi is drunk at Lu Qing Wu’s and kisses her (and they possibly do more than that). Qi Nian is drunk at Ji Yan Qi and pukes all over him. Lol. She’s at his office. There’s a morning meeting in his office so he hides Qi Nian under his desk.

He says he can be meaner and kisses her.

[Ep18] Qi Nian meets the guy who confessed to her in high school. He remembers it as her confessing to him though. He’s currently an idol: Ah Yu. He is still trying to pursue her. He’s singing to her at a karaoke but all Qi Nian does is read her manhua to find evidence if Ji Yan Xin liked her. She can’t find any. She doesn’t know at which point he started liking her. A sad Qi Nian confides in Ah Yu her love problems. He sort of helps her but it’s more to get her to consider him again. He somehow tells her to confess to him. Fortunately, our slow-brained Qi Nian doesn’t fall for half his stunts.
Ji Qiu is worried about Qi Nian who's with Ah Yu. Shao Zui tells her to fret not. Ji Yan Xin (who’s all the way in America) is flying back to save her. Ji Yan Xin had left to give them a cooling period. He’s aware she’s nervous around him and he doesn’t want to scare her away. She’s too precious to him. When Shao Zui learns of Ji Yan Xin's plans, he's like that’s a good idea but the devil inside him is smirking at Ji Yan Xin.
Ji Yan Xin pulls Qi Nian away from Ah Yu when he tried to get her to confess to him. Ji Yan Xin kisses her to stop her from blabbering. He also calls up the woman she’s jealous of. It’s his mother. Next, Ji Yan Xin takes her to her father’s work place. He clarifies that him dating her has nothing to do with her father. Otherwise he’d have to date a new girl for every new project. He admits that through the investigation he may have known her but he swears he doesn't. If anything, he does find her name familiar.
Next, Ji Yan Xin takes her to this resort that she calls a hotel. Now that they’re alone in this romantic looking place he continues his story. He doesn’t know when he started loving her. She became familiar to him, a habit for him. He just knows that by the time he knew he was in love with her, his love just kept growing.
Ji Yan Xin: I want to take up the rest of your life from here.
He gives her a choice now. If she continues to be with him he might start controlling her life the way he did with Ji Si Qi. This will be her chance to refuse him. He turns away probably fearing she will refuse him but why will she? She smiles and asks him just one thing: why he didn’t pick up his phone when he was in the States. For him, seeing a picture of her was enough to make him uneasy when he wanted to give her a break. Hearing her voice would be disastrous; he would run to her immediately. Before he finishes his sentence, she kisses him. She was taught to take initiative if she wants a man. She puckers her lip for another kiss and he takes her for a full kiss.
Second Couple: Ji Si Qi works at Lu Qing Wu’s studio. He’s assigned to decorate the office for his own welcome party. A jealous staff assigned him the task. He storms off when he hears something unpleasant about Lu Qing Wu. She smiles and goes to visit him. He’s sulking and taking in the helium from the balloons. She laughs at his voice. Laughing too, he kisses her so that she can have a taste of helium. Her voice turns weird too. She smiles widely and chases him in the office.
[Ep19] That hotel Ji Yan Xin took Qi Nian to was a place he designed for her to work on her manhua. It belongs to her now.
Third Couple: Ji Qiu remembers when she young how Shao Zui took care of her. Her parents have passed away. To make her happy, he pinky promises her to be her little brother. She will be his big brother. She becomes conscious of their distance and his touches now.

[Ep20] There are all sorts of hate comments online about Qi Nian. It’s about how she used her manhua to approach a man.
Ji Yan Xin asks Qi Nian about her pen name "Qi Yue Qing Wu" which confirms he was awake when Qi Nian told him about her manhua background. "Qi Yue Qing Wu" was a collaboration between her and Lu Qing Wu but when their work won a prize, Qi Yue Qing Wu only belonged to Lu Qing Wu. It was the manager who stole her laptop and changed all her passwords so she couldn’t clarify herself (but Qi Nian doesn’t know that yet).
Lu Qing Wu tells Ji Si Qi her version. Through the manager, she learns that her 'partner' (Lu Qing Wu doesn't tell him her partner is Qi Nian) wanted to quit the collaboration. When Lu Qing Wu wanted to clarify with Qi Nian, she was unreachable. She didn’t know Qi Nian was preparing for her exams and closed off all contact. When she finally contacted Qi Nian, she was playing victim.
Qi Nian is worried about her fan signing event. Ji Yan Xin gives his support as a fan during the event and even confesses to her. Their picture circulates the web. Ji Yan Xin’s mother is also at the event and is interested in collaborating with Qi Nian.
[Ep21] Ji Qiu almost forgets her own birthday. It's Shao Zui who remembers and celebrates with her.
Shao Zui uses a complicated idiom to write her birthday message. He translate it for her: "Hope you will only walk on a a flower path and never know the bitterness of life." Aw. The lights go out. He doesn't see the loving look in her eyes towards him. He tells her to blow out the candle first. She doesn't. With him around she doesn't need wishes or things like that. He reminds her that he won't always be there. He has his own life; he'll have to marry eventually. She pouts that she never said he couldn't marry...he just has to wait until he's 60, that's all. She calls it unfair that he can date when she (her brother) hasn't even dated yet. Abruptly, he tells her she can date all she wants now. Ji Qiu can't argue back. He leaves to check on the electricity but she pulls his sleeve reminding him she hasn't blown out her candles yet.
After a bit of push and pull, they accidentally kiss. She angrily pushes him off and asks him to pay her back. How? Kiss again? They don't. When he sends her home, she doesn't know that today is his last day with her. Where is he going!
Pei Yan (mother of Ji brothers) is at Ji Si Qi's home. That's when Lu Qing Wu barges in for some hugs from Ji Si Qi because this lady (Pei Yan) had upset her. Ji Yan Xin is here too with Qi Nian because Pai Yan was the lady who was interested in collaborating with her. And that's how Qi Nian and Lu Qing Wu meet their potential mother-in-law. However, Pei Yan tells the brothers to switch spots so that Ji Si Qi is standing with Qi Nian and Ji Yan Xin is standing with Lu Qing Wu. That looks much better to mom. The ages match better like that. Pft.
With one reaction from Qi Nian, Pei Yan deciphers Ji Si Qi and Qi Nian had something between them. Pei Yan asks the two younger fellas to consider each other instead. Ji Yan Xin and Lu Qing Wu had heard enough. To prove that they each have found the right partner, they have to do a couple vlog for mom.
Ji Qiu goes to work in the new clothes Shao Zui had bought her. When she's there, Shao Zui isn't. She finds his lawyer in his office. He gives her a document that transfers all his stocks to her and thus she will become this company's new CEO.
Lu Qing Wu hears Qi Nian's full story of their past. Lu Qing Wu realizes she's been used by her manager. She asks Qi Nian to not tell Ji Si Qi but he overhears everything. Ji Si Qi confronts her but Lu Qing Wu doesn't bother clarifying herself. Drama/manger did her dirty. There's armpit sweat marks on her pink shirt.
Meanwhile it's still cute with Qi Nian and Ji Yan Xin. Qi Nian wants some love from a busy Ji Yan Xin so she tries to distract him. First she eats a crunchy apple in front of his study room. No reaction. Then she chows down on chips. Still nothing. Lastly, the killer food: celery. Ji Yan Xin finally moves. He walks by the door where Qi Nian is crouching at and coolly asks her, "You want me to pay attention to you, right?" Qi Nian slides back up the wall and obediently nods.
[Ep22] Ji Yan Xin spends time with Qi Nian as she wishes. He makes her sit through a slideshow of architectural stuff. She denies that she's bored out of her mind. Ji Yan Xin knows she is. He sits in front of her and holds her hand. He wants her to selfish with him. If she wants to spend time with him or if she doesn't like certain things, he wants her to tell him. He's serious about their relationship. He wants to spend forever with her, not just a few days. Thus Qi Nian starts listing out all her selfish wishes. He obliges.
Although Ji Si Qi and Lu Qing Wu argued, he has the recording that Lu Qing Wu made when she confronted Xiao Li. Ji Si Qi gives it to Qi Nian. Ji Yan Xin asks Ji Si Qi if he would be afraid if Qi Nian releases this recording to prove her innocence. His answer is that he'll stand by Lu Qing Wu's side no matter what.
Qi Nian gives back the recording to Lu Qing Wu via Ji Si Qi. She has no intentions of exposing Xiao Li because that would make Lu Qing Wu the biggest loser. She knows Ji Si Qi loves her, she can't do that to Ji Si Qi.
The only problem now with our couples is Shao Zui. His idea of a trip is to work at a restaurant that's less than 2km away from Ji Yan Xin's home. Ji Yan Xin knows but Ji Qiu doesn't. All she has is a single box of his belongings. In there she finds a journal. It triggers her memory ofhow he promised her she'd never leave her until she grows up into an adult. She also finds a picture of him and her father. (Seems like he's somehow involved in her father's death)
Qi Nian is walking Qi Bao (dog). She comes to the same place she met Ji Yan Xin. Qi Bao leads her to another man who happens to be reading her manhua. This man introduces himself but she doesn't recognize him. He clarifies that he'll be the actor for Mr. Ji in her manhua. He also happens to be Qi Bao's past owner.
[Ep23] After hearing a weird man on Qi Nian's phone, Ji Yan Xin immediately takes the plane. Meanwhile, Qi Nian continues to send him dog barking audio messages. She's using an app that translates human voices to dog barks so that she can yell at him to come home faster all she wants.
Ji Yan Xin is back. He also knows how to translate her dog barks. After being agitated by that male actor, Ji Yan Xin takes Qi Nian to the marriage registrar. He tells her to just nod her head and sign whatever she needs to sign, lol. A confused Qi Nian nods and follows his orders. They're married. She wasn't that clueless though. She knew and makes him say all the I-love-you romantic stuff.
Qi Nian doesn't know how to tell her mother about being married. Ji Yan Xin has it all in the bag. He took the plane to convince her parents to let her marry him. Her parents are wooed by him.
Lu Qing Wu announces her retirement over the Qi Yue Qing Wu thing. Hate comments flood her page. Qi Nian helps her clarify (risking her own name). Ji Yan Xin helps her a "bit" too. He gets a ton of celebrities and well known people in the industry to retweet her message.
Fourth Couple: Zhou Xin Xin and that male actor (nickname: Su Xiao Fei)?
Third Couple: Ji Qiu finds Shao Zui. The restaurant he works at is the place he celebrated her birthday at. She learns from him that it was her father who had saved him from mountain climbing. Otherwise it would have been Shao Zui who died. Ah, is that why he doesn't have his sense of taste? These ten years he's been taking care of her in her father's stead. She understands it as he never loved her. He was only repaying her father's debt. She gives him a full 90-degree bow to coldly thank him for the past ten years.
But she continually shows up at his restaurant. She wants to drink a ton of alcohol. Using alcohol as an excuse, she grabs his collars and yell at him: she doesn't want to be his baggage; she asks him why can't he love her. If he was going to take care of her, he should take care of her forever. After courageously saying that she falls asleep (pretending to be drunk?).
There's a Ji family meeting. Pei Yan is there as well as Ji Si Qi and Lu Qing Wu. Pei Yan was the one who helped Lu Qing Wu settle her case with Xiao Li. Lu Qing Wu is grateful and declares to mom that she will marry Ji Si Qi. Even though there's two more years until he's of legal age to marry, she will wait for him because he's definitely hers. WHAT. How old is he? Ji Si Qi overhears and happily says that's his line. Ji Yan Xin and Qi Nian are like that's their line. But Mom has the final say. There's an order to marriage. Mom wants to marry first.
Ji Yan Xin can't happily congratulate his mother. He misses their family being together (his mother and father are divorced). Pei Yan should have just told him that she's remarrying his father. Alright, so who is his father who has been MIA for the entire drama? He's the owner of the restaurant that Shao Zui worked at. He hated cooking but he became a chef to pursue Pei Yan back. All these years he had disappeared was to regain Pei Yan's love. He's also the man who gave the cake to Qi Nian.
Qi Nian receives a letter from Ji Yan Xin. It was sent from 100 days ago. It's a picture he drew of her. The message is that he wants to marry her on July 9th. Ji Yan Xin shows up in person. He slips on the ring and she's mesmerized. She soon realizes he never even asked/proposed. She yells after him but he leaves. In comes a video message from Pei Yan of her interviewing Ji Yan Xin. In the video, Ji Yan Xin tells Qi Nian that he can live life fine without her but that type of living isn't really living.
Ji Yan Xin is back with the veil to complete her wedding dress. He quickly closes her phone (because he finds the video embarrassing). He gets down on one knee for the real proposal. He says she doesn't have to learn how to be a housewife, the only thing she needs to take care of is him. After he finishes saying everything he wanted, he gets up on his own, "I'm done." LOL. Qi Nian is still touched though. She holds his face in her hands, "Ji Yan Xin, I am willing to marry you and I love you." She kisses him.
They move in together. Ji Yan Xin tells her about the clock that rings seven ("Qi") times near his home (probably at a temple for far away). It makes him think of her all the time. Well, that temple is the place they first met. They just don't know that. Yet? When Ji Yan Xin was a teenager, he was at this temple to wish for family harmony (his parents were probably divorcing at that time). He hung it over another person's wish which happens to be Qi Nian's. She wished for a happy love relationship. A man kindly tells him he hung his wish in the wrong place. The man takes the wish plate off but accidentally gives his daughter's (Qi Nian's) wish plate to him instead. Meanwhile, little Qi Nian was nearby and drew a picture of the young Ji Yan Xin. Ahh, so it was Qi Nian's father who handed his daughter to Ji Yan Xin. Also, both Ji Yan Xin and Qi Nian got their wishes: a harmonious family and a sweet relationship in one.
Ji Yan Xin has the wish plate to this day. Qi Nian has the drawing of the young Ji Yan Xin to this day. Qi Bao reunites these two items just like how he reunited Qi Nian and Ji Yan Xin in the first episode.
Remarks
[First Impression (Ep1-8)] The Chinese title translates to "Really Want To Be With You" which is essentially the nucleus of this drama that motivates all the plot. Because she really wants to be with him after accidentally kissing him, drama happens. From a stranger, she becomes his teaching assistant, then a maid, then a secretary. It's fun watching this unrealistic drama unfold. I loved that bus confession from her. I love how he picked up her phone. She's shy and straightforward. He's that blockhead who doesn't understand romance and yet he's flirting with her (unconsciously?). Honestly, this is nothing special. It's one of those cute light romcoms with quite a bit of humour. This suits my taste and I think I'll like this to the end.
[Actors/Actresses] This drama doesn't have the best looking leads but I love most of them. Zhang Ya Qin is my favourite here. She's not bubbly at all but when she laughs it really looks like she's laughing. Zhang Ya Qin brings a lot of sincerity to her characters. Li Ming De has left an impression this year. He's the second lead here. It’s also a reunion between our male leads from Fairyland Lovers. Our main lead, Ji Xiao Bing, is someone I didn't think would be a main lead but I’m quite happy he is (his romance segment was a breath of fresh air in that drama).

Someone needs to clarify to me how old everyone is, in particular Ji Si Qi and Shao Zhui.
At first I was a little bothered by the age between Ji Qiu and Shao Zui. It's not particularly the age gap but whether he fell in love with her before she was an adult. I really do like this couple so I convince myself that there was definitely no pedo. It's totally possible that when a man watches a girl grow up, at one point in time that guardian type of love can transition to a man-to-woman type of love. Totally plausible. Right?
Then there's Ji Si Qi who I completely forgot to connect his age to his character. He's under 18? Really? That means he's younger than Ji Qiu? What.
Final Review
[Review] A light, cute and sweet romcom. It’s between a manhua artist who falls in love with the material of her inspiration. Meanwhile our male lead is a man who lives his daily life without a care about other human beings. He doesn’t even bother remembering their names with the exception of our female lead Qi Nian. There’s a specific reason why he faintly remembers her name but that doesn’t get revealed until the very end. Basically, it is one of those fated relationships before they even met. I never get tired of these if they’re done cutely and Be With You is definitely cute.
Ji Yan Xin is sort of like Zhang Si Nian (Miles Wei) from Perfect and Casual: stiff and logical but once he meets his love he turns into the lord of romance. There are particular scenes of his that still stand out to me: when he knelt and then got up on his own and when he kissed her under the table. The former is so him and the latter is so not him. It's that sudden flip in his personality that makes his character addicting.
Our female lead, Qi Nian, didn’t earn the love of Ji Yan Xin just from sitting there and looking cute, she aggressively pursued this man albeit with a selfish motive at first. Although she “lied” about falling in love with him at first sight, I don’t think it’s a lie. In fact, I think she fell in love with him at first sight way before their “first” meeting in the first episode (hint, ending).
Near the end, the spotlight is shared with the other couples. Not a huge fan of the second couple (Ji Si Qi and Lu Qing Wu). I rather the drama spend more screen time on the brotherly relationship. I thought the misunderstanding between the Ji bros was resolved a little too easily. Ji Yan Xin basically stopped caring about his brother’s future once he started dating Qi Nian.
The third couple grew on me (Ji Qiu and Shao Zui). I really like Ji Qiu. There’s also a fourth couple with another Ji family member... maybe more than one...It was kind of sudden, didn't expect that at all, but it was a nice surprise. There might also be a fifth couple...
Near the end, the spotlight is shared with the other couples. Not a huge fan of the second couple (Ji Si Qi and Lu Qing Wu). I rather the drama spend more screen time on the brotherly relationship. Overall, this is a safe, cute romcom to love with an active female pursuing the man she loves. For a matter of fact, all three main couples all have active females.
Random recommendation: Li Ming De (Marcus Li) is better in Lovely Us.
