[Ep1] Mai Si Chong and Mei Wei Wei first meet when she was in the way of his umbrella. She’s pushed out into rain from the impact. He isn’t apologetic at all.
Their second meeting is at the door to the auditorium. Neither of them want to open the door after touching each other’s hand at the handle. This meeting, she also accidentally falls over him in the chair putting their faces inches apart. All the students cheer her on to kiss him. Mei Wei Wei embarrassingly leaves.
Their third meeting is a purposeful one willed by Mei Wei Wei’s friend, Li Dai Xi. She has a crush on this guy and wants Mei Wei Wei to use her super powers to make him fall in love with her. Once Mei Wei Wei’s heart rate increases, she has the ability to generate electricity. If she happens to touch a human, that person will fall in love with whoever s/he sees first. The two girls visit the boy at his swimming practice and that’s when Mei Wei Wei realizes her friend’s crush is Mai Si Chong. He immediately thinks she’s his stalker. Mai Si Chong refuses her attempt at massaging him (she’s studying physiotherapy/sports rehabilitation). Their plan to make him fall in love with Li Dai Xi fails because she can’t even touch him to electrocute him.
Mai Si Chong’s mother visits him in university. I like this mother-son dynamic. She’s childish and he’s the adult in their relationship. Mom just wants a bit more love from her indifferent son. She updates him that unfortunately his health record was submitted to the school. Mai Si Chong is perturbed.
Mai Si Chong sneaks into the school’s office to steal his health record. Mei Wei Wei secretly follows him. She’s been trying to meet up with him (“to apologize” but more importantly to help her friend). In a Pikachu getup, she approaches him. Her headgear falls off as she touches him. She touches him and his heart is electrified. The first person he sees is Mei Wei Wei.
Mai Si Chong is in his dorms. He brought back the Pikachu with him. He’s staring at it and admits his heart is racing. His mind is full of Mei Wei Wei.
[Ep2] Mai Si Chong starts putting his moves on Mei Wei Wei. She is seriously affected by him. Oh my, this boy. So good looking. He publicly confesses to her in front of the entire class. With his hands in his pockets, he loudly asks her out. Without much of a chance to reject him, she’s pulled to lunch with his mother for her birthday. Mom is enthusiastic about her son’s soon-to-be-girlfriend.
Mai Si Chong is hiding the fact that his leg is injured. It will affect his enlistment to the swimming team.
Peng Pai (Peng Yan) reappears in Mei Wei Wei’s life. He wants to apologize for the past. His name used to be Peng Yan. He was her senior in high school. To her knowledge, he was supposed to be abroad, not here in this university with a new name. That’s all we know about him so far.
The next morning Mai Si Chong is back to his normal self. He’s disgusted at himself from yesterday. Come night time, Mei Wei Wei is back on track to help her friend get her crush. She pushes Mai Si Chong into the water to make him save Li Dai Xi who’s pretending to drown. However he pulls her in with him. Mei Wei Wei electrocutes the water which amplifies the current to anyone in the water. Thus Li Dai Xi falls in love with Ding Yi. Perhaps because Mai Si Chong was directly touching Mei Wei Wei, not only does he fall in love with her again, his voice turns all girly. LOL. The face and that voice.
[Ep3] Mai Si Chong wants Mei Wei Wei to take responsibility of his voice. She laughs whenever he speaks. She tells him to stop talking and she’ll take responsibility of him. A cute Mai Si Chong smiles.
Mai Si Chong gives Mei Wei Wei a map that should lead her to the park where he was planning to confess (again). However, either her comprehension skills are off or his mapping skills are poor, the map leads her to Peng Pai. Mai Si Chong finds out she’s having dinner with him and drags her with him to his confession place. It’s a wagon of flowers in a heart shape (in sky view). He closes in to give her a Bi Dong. Her heart accelerates and because of that she lights up the entire park.
[Ep4] Mai Si Chong freaks out at her abilities. He asks her what’s her deal. She tightly hugs him hoping to distract him. He is affected by the hug but he’s not distracted. She confesses the truth about her body. He realizes his love for her is fake. But that doesn’t mean he’ll stop bothering her. Now begins the real falling in love :)
Since Mai Si Chong knows her secret, she’s his slave now – well at least for 24 hours because she owes him for the 24 hours he spent on her. She has to get him his breakfast, prepare his food, do his homework, and carry his stuff. He just loves her company.
[Ep5] Mai Si Chong wants Wei Wei to shock him. I was surprised her heart rate didn’t pick up when she not only ogled at his chest but also touched his chest. He notices that every time she shocks him, he swims faster. Wei Wei won’t help him so he decides to find his own way to be shocked. Boy, that’s dangerous.
Wei Wei uses her health bracelet to make Mai Si Chong reveal why he must be shocked. She suspects something is wrong with his body. He lies and his heart rate speeds up. As he's stopping her from looking at the bracelet, he accidentally falls over her on the bed. It’s not just feathers that are flying everywhere, their feelings are too.
Mei Wei Wei has her period cramps. Mai Si Chong immediately bends down for her to climb onto his back. She’s in so much pain she falls onto Mai Si Chong’s chest. He smiles and puts his hand on her shoulder. Later that night, Mai Si Chong wonders if he’s electrocuted by her again. Yes.
While she’s attempting something beyond her height can reach, Mai Si Chong lifts her back down from the chair. He hangs the star for her instead. She’s touched but then he teases her for her short stature.
I don’t understand the why Mei Wei Wei’s research project needs a party like atmosphere to demonstrate itself. Where’s the credibility? Mai Si Chong saves Mei Wei Wei from a fall. He re-injures the same knee. They’re also locked in the party room for the night. She tells him she knew of his injuries. That’s when he tells her how he injured himself. It was to save a kid from a car accident.
Third Couple: Jun Jun and Xia Rui. Jun Jun and Mai Si Chong are childhood friends. He doesn’t remember her. She remembers him though. I thought she was going to be an obstacle but luckily there’s a guy for her too. She barely utters a word and she's into anime cosplay(?).
Mai Si Chong trains with Wei Wei by holding hands or tying their hands together. He’s trying to use her electric waves to heal his knee faster (electrophysiology). It was all sweet between them but he’s jealous when she’s going on a trip with Peng Pai (to see her sport idol). He takes a selfie of himself and her and tells her to save it probably trying to remind her of him when she's on the trip. Li Dai Xi isn’t happy about Wei Wei going on the trip either. She doesn’t like Peng Pai. He ditched Wei Wei back in high school when she was bullied.
Wei Wei meets her idol but asks her idol to sign a poster for Mai Si Chong instead. Aw. Her sport star’s fans bombard her for hogging their idol’s time. It’s Mai Si Chong who saves her. Peng Pai is nowhere in sight. Mai Si Chong is here because he found out from Li Dai Xi about how Peng Pai treated her in high school. Mai Si Chong confronts him and threatens him to stay away from Wei Wei. That’s when Peng Pai admits his father was in a fatal car accident the moment she was bullied. His mother sold their home and they moved. When he wanted to find her, her number had changed.
Fourth Couple: Li Bai Kuang likes Zhang Yu Xin. She has a stepmom and they mutually hate each other. Her father is on her stepmother’s side. She's the one working part time at a cafe instead of attending class.
Mai Si Chong's injuries are revealed to the entire school. The coach is the most disappointed. He's an athlete, their bodies are precious to them. For Mai Si Chong to neglect his health is an utter disrespect.
[Ep17] Peng Pai is drunk and accidentally injures Wei Wei. Mai Si Chong is angry as he treats her wounds. Wei Wei apologizes, but he’s not angry at her. He’s angry at himself for not being with her at all times. The next day, he confronts Peng Pai and threatens him to not appear in front of Wei Wei and especially not to hurt her.
Mai Si Chong is off training for his next competition. His mom packs almost the entire house for him. He also brings durian candy. Mom thinks it’s weird because he always hated it. Nope, he loves it now because of one person: Wei Wei. Wei Wei sends him off but he comes running out of the taxi to give her a back hug. He’ll be gone for a few days but the way he’s pouting it looks like he’s going to be gone for at least a year.
Third Couple: Jun Jun is getting over her crush for Mai Si Chong. She's moving on to Xia Rui but he doesn't know it yet.
[Ep18] Wei Wei is sick. Mai Si Chong is worried sick for her. He calls up everyone around her to care for her. When she’s all better, she travels to his training site to visit him because she misses him so much. She gives him a tight hug. He apologizes for not being with her. Mai Si Chong then takes her to see his teammates. They casually tell her how popular Mai Si Chong is. She laughs at it. Mai Si Chong quickly takes her away from his teammates.
Mai Si Chong asks Wei Wei what she would have done if he never caught her visiting him (since he doesn’t have a phone on him). She’ll just have to wait, that’s all. He gives her a durian candy. And also a kiss. Before she lets him leave, she writes on his clothes, “This dog has an owner.” Mai Si Chong actually used it to fend off a girl confessing to him.
This episode, Mai Si Chong is also willing to eat her awful food.
[Ep21] Mai Si Chong confronts Xia Rui. The boys fight each other. Xia Rui won’t back down though. Forcing Mai Si Chong out of the team is the only way he can enter. The friends who didn’t know about Wei Wei’s superpowers now know. They promise to keep it a secret for her. The only problem is Xia Rui. Jun Jun visits him but he won’t give in.
Mai Si Chong calls Wei Wei and assures her he’s okay being a swimming coach. What matters is their safety and happiness. Wei Wei tries to hide her crying through the phone. She’s undergoing an innovative therapy to rid her of her superpowers. It’s a painful process. It requires shocking her to neutralize the electricity in her. Wei Wei faints. When she wakes up and sees Mai Si Chong she realizes her electricity is gone.
[Ep22] Mai Si Chong is at Wei Wei’s home and meets Dad. Dad wants to be scary towards Mai Si Chong but Mom pulls Dad by the ear to stop lecturing their future son in law.
They quickly go to get his health examination but it’s too late. It’s getting late at night so they stay over at a hotel but there’s only one room left. Mai Si Chong can barely sit still when Wei Wei is showering. When Wei Wei blows her hair, Mai Si Chong offers to help. They don’t spend the night together because Mai Si Chong is too noble. He asked the front desk if there was another room. There was.
Mai Si Chong couldn’t get his health examination in time but the coaches trust him. A completion is hosted between Mai Si Chong and Xia Rui for the spot on the team. Xia Rui forfeits. He lost before the race even started. He's been feeling guilt the entire time. He leaves an apology letter to Mai Si Chong. Mai Si Chong can continue his swimming career.
Mai Si Chong teaches Wei Wei how to swim. She hugs onto him tightly in the water. She never swam before because of her condition. He tells her to look forward to their electricity-free life together. She kisses Mai So Chong. Mai Si Chong kisses her back.
[Ep23] Jun Jun comforts Xia Rui that to her he's never changed in her heart. She still loves him. Xia Rui also apologizes directly to Mai Si Chong. He explained to Coach that it was him who threatened Mai Si Chong to not take the physical examination. He assures Mai Si Chong he kept Wei Wei's powers a secret. Mai Si Chong had already forgiven him before he apologized. Mai Si Chong challenges Xia Rui for a fair swimming match. Challenge accepted. Mai Si Chong wins but Xia Rui thanks him for the competition. It's Mai Si Chong's way of accepting him as a friend and a worthy rival again. 
There's a celebration that night. Mai Si Chong assures Wei Wei she can drink now. He'll protect her. Next morning, they both fall asleep on the bed. He wakes up to find Wei Wei sleeping across from him. He moves in to kiss her. A sleeping Mei Wei Wei doesn't know..
[Ep24] Wei Wei's treatment plan is to seclude herself from the world for half a year. Today will be her last date with Mai Si Chong. She's in rain gear in case she accidentally shocks him. However, she does injure him. He's got a burn mark on his wrist from the shock but he hides it from her. The two are camping the night together. She gives him a deep kiss. The next morning, before he leaves her, she gives him a tight hug. It's her farewell to him but he doesn't know it yet. Wei Wei holds back her tears.
They kiss with the blessings from the whales behind them. It's heart-shaped.
[First Impression (Ep1-6)] That's it. I officially love Zhang Ling He. I can watch him in anything. Thus this review will be biased. I'll try my best to be objective. I actually don't know how much I'll love this drama without Zhang Ling He. This is a low budget drama but it does have a unique story. Our female lead can electrocute you into love. Upon her touching you when her heart rate is above a certain threshold, you will fall in love with her. That's how our male lead falls for our female lead. It becomes quite hilarious when he's obliviously electrocuted by her to him begging her to electrocute him. It‘s a bizarre premise for the female character but I think this will be a sincere yet fluffy romance.
[Actors/Actresses] Zhang Ling He plays acolder and a more childish character here compared to Maiden Holmes. I love him, regardless.
[Behind the Scenes]
[Ending] Happy. It’s a little rushed though. Did I miss what career path Wei Wei took? Also, how was she cured? Is she even cured?
[Review] Sparkle Love is simply cute at its best. It doesn’t quite hit the sweet spot but it tries to be very, very sweet. I’d only recommend this if you’re a fan of the leads. However, even if you’re a fan, this isn’t their strongest drama. It’s a downgrade from Maiden Holmes for Zhang Ling He and from "Love by Hypnotic" for Ling Mei Shi. In fact, I barely recognize Ling Mei Shi. She’s unbelievably plain which is surprising because I liked her in Love By Hypnotic. If Zhang Ling He debuted with this drama, I don’t think I’d be a fan of his. I don’t think I’d even finish this drama.
Just to clarify, the drama isn’t disappointing; it just feels very cotton-y without the candy. Light without much substance and subjectively sweet.

Wei Wei wants her bracelet back. As she’s jumping up and down for it, she ends up giving him a hug. Another awkwardly romantic moment. He bends down towards her and sincerely pleads her to help him. There’s nothing as important to him as swimming. He needs her. Wei Wei agrees to help him. Omg. No one can say no to those eyes. The way he tilted his head! Omg lol.

Wei Wei corrects him that she made him fall in love with her because of her electrocution.
Mai Si Chong buys Wei Wei milk tea. She tempts him with it. She knows he can’t drink it because he’s an athlete. However, he immediately sips hers after she drank it. He knows Mai Si Chong likes her already. It's time to examine the hand. Wei Wei interlaces her fingers with his. This is sports rehab. Mai Si Chong is feeling emotions he's not accustomed to: Love.
Mai Si Chong was upset when he thought Wei Wei was with Peng Pai. When he knows she wasn't, he immediately brightens up and takes her shopping for new clothes. Thank you, that dress looks terrible on her. Except the clothes he's choosing for her is worse than her current dress. He tries to get a couple look with her. When they accidentally touch, there's static electricity. He tells her to stop electrifying him now (it sounds exactly like 'can you stop flirting with me now'). She replies she never electrified/flirted with him the entire day. Mai Si Chong is shocked. He's thinking so that was my true feelings all along.
During dinner Mai Si Chong's gaze is fixated on Wei Wei. She complains that he's either staring at her or not looking at her at all. She reaches over to check his forehead temperature. He stops her and slams her arm down like it's an arm wrestle. He confirms whether she really didn't electrify him. She answers by slamming his arm the other way and confirms she really didn't. Mai Si Chong looks at her hand that's touching his. He's certainly feeling the electricity though.
There's a stalker on the campus. Jun Jun calls up Wei Wei to help her because she thinks a stalker is following her. It's Xia Rui though. He's making sure she's safe. Wei Wei has the real stalker trailing her. She accidentally shocks him and sends him running away. When they recount the details to the security guard, he's bewildered at how she could have attacked the stalker with her small body. Mai Si Chong rushes in to lie for her.
[Ep10] Mai Si Chong is practicing with Wei Wei for his swimming match. She can't get her heart rate up so he lifts her in his arms. He's only in his swim trunks by the way. She electrifies him so much that his voice almost turns girly again.
The group is staking out to catch the stalker/pervert. Wei Wei suspects the stalker to be the young security guard. Ding Yi pretends to be a girl to capture the pervert. The others are on the lookout. Wei Wei falls asleep on Mai Si Chong's shoulders. He was tempted to kiss her but the pervert makes his appearance (he actually fell for Ding Yi's getup...). They chase down the pervert. Wei Wei trips and falls onto Mai Si Chong. There's an accidental kiss between them.
It's Peng Pai's birthday tomorrow. He's secretly planning to confess to Wei Wei. It's also Mai Si Chong's competition tomorrow. Wei Wei is in a dilemma on who to spend tomorrow with. The next morning. she's in neither places. When she sees Mai Si Chong's swimming results on social media, Wei Wei rushes to him. She also finds out Peng Pai is planning to confess to her but she still chose to be with Mai Si Chong. Except Mai Si Chong thinks she chose Peng Pai.
[Ep11] Mai Si Chong is angry at Wei Wei. He won't talk to her. This episode, Wei Wei learns the one who helped her get rid of the annoying senior was Mai Si Chong, not Peng Pai. Wei Wei hears he's sick so she visits him but when she finds him, he's unconscious by the pool. She gives him CPR (mouth-to-mouth). Mai Si Chong wakes up. He suddenly remembers, she was the one who saved him from the car accident too. Dazed, and even more in love, he pulls her in for a real kiss. Then he faints again. He's got a high fever.
Mai Si Chong is in the infirmary. Wei Wei is sleeping next to him at his bed. He remembers the car accident where he saved a boy and the one who saved him was Wei Wei. She gave him AED with her hands. That's...cool. When Wei Wei wakes up, he pretends to sleep again. She checks on his fever and since it's gone down, she leaves. He grabs her hand, still pretending to sleep. Wei Wei knows he's faking it. And so that's how these two make up.
Mai Si Chong's friends play cupid for him. They manage to sneak Wei Wei into the male dormitory to visit Mai Si Chong. He learns that Wei Wei didn't go to Peng Pai's birthday party. She had wanted to watch his competition, it's just she was late. In his room, Wei Wei finds his health record. To prevent her from reading it, he grabs her into an accidental back hug.
[Ep12] After the back hug, Wei Wei blushes. She asks Mai Si Chong why she stole the health records. She makes him return it but it's too late, the professors already know he stole it. It's not all bad though. He can now have a proper doctor look into his injuries now. Wei Wei learns that the day she was meeting her idol (Xun Yang), he was supposed to visit this renowned doctor but he missed out on that appointment because he was saying Wei Wei from crazy fangirls. Mom also tells her that if Mai Si Chong told her about his injuries that means he truly trusts her.
[Ep13] An upset Mai Si Chong returns home. Wei Wei visits him. He frantically cleans his room and when she opens his door, he's calmly reading on his bed. Wei Wei's purpose is to convince Mai Si Chong to return to school. She accidentally falls on top of him on his bed. Mom walks in on them and she's excited for them. Mom starts showing Wei Wei all of Mai Si Chong's younger pictures. Wei Wei learns he's extremely thin-skinned. She also manages to get him to return to school.
[Ep14] Wei Wei convinced Xun Yang (both her and Mai Si Chong's idol) to motivate Mai Si Chong to continue his passion for swimming. Xun Yang teases him that Wei Wei is pretty cute. Mai Si Chong clarifies that she's soon to be his girlfriend. Xun Yang laughs but gives him a friendly reminder that girls might be a distraction. However, Mai Si Chong confidently says Wei Wei isn't a distraction, she's his motivation.
Mai Si Chong walks Wei Wei to her dorm. The whole night she's distracted by her accelerated heart rate for him. She's not paying attention and almost bumps into others. Mai Si Chong pulls him into his chest to dodge the others.
Mai Si Chong: Pikachu, are you low on electricity. No, she's high.
Mai Si Chong pinches her cheeks and notices they're burning. Her heart rate continues to escalate. Zhang Yu Xin passes by and hints to Wei Wei that our bodily reactions can't lie about our feelings. Wei Wei realizes she likes Mai Si Chong.
[Ep15] Wei Wei and Mai Si Chong are having hotpot together. He picks out all the food she dislikes for her. So sweet. She asks him if she shocked him again. Mai Si Chong innocently answers that she didn't. To him, she's his motivation. He likes being with her not because of her electrical powers but because it's her.
A marathon race goes haywire. Rain starts pouring and Wei Wei's electrical powers are out of control. Mai Si Chong isn't afraid. He hugs her to protect her from the rain. Mai Si Chong confesses he loves her. Wei Wei replies that he likes her too. They kiss an electrifying one.
[Ep16] Mai Si Chong holds onto Wei Wei's hand but she warns him she'll shock him. It doesn't matter anymore. Whether or not she shocks him, his feelings are the same.
Mai Si Chong wins the swimming competition. He gives a heart to the camera. It's meant for Wei Wei only. Everyone celebrates the competition with a overnight trip. Mai Si Chong invites Wei Wei out for the night. He prepared her mini fireworks. He tells her he doesn't know how to make girls happy. He only had swimming in his life. It's his first time in love and he doesn't know if she'll like him the way he is. As he's rambling on about his insecurities, Wei Wei is touched to tears. She kisses him, "Mai Si Chong, I like you." He kisses her back.
Mai Si Chong is off training for his next competition. His mom packs almost the entire house for him. He also brings durian candy. Mom thinks it’s weird because he always hated it. Nope, he loves it now because of one person: Wei Wei. Wei Wei sends him off but he comes running out of the taxi to give her a back hug. He’ll be gone for a few days but the way he’s pouting it looks like he’s going to be gone for at least a year.
Third Couple: Jun Jun is getting over her crush for Mai Si Chong. She's moving on to Xia Rui but he doesn't know it yet.
[Ep18] Wei Wei is sick. Mai Si Chong is worried sick for her. He calls up everyone around her to care for her. When she’s all better, she travels to his training site to visit him because she misses him so much. She gives him a tight hug. He apologizes for not being with her. Mai Si Chong then takes her to see his teammates. They casually tell her how popular Mai Si Chong is. She laughs at it. Mai Si Chong quickly takes her away from his teammates.
Mai Si Chong asks Wei Wei what she would have done if he never caught her visiting him (since he doesn’t have a phone on him). She’ll just have to wait, that’s all. He gives her a durian candy. And also a kiss. Before she lets him leave, she writes on his clothes, “This dog has an owner.” Mai Si Chong actually used it to fend off a girl confessing to him.
[Ep19] Mai Si Chong is suspected of taking illegal drugs by his coach because of his speedy recovery rate. He needs to take a blood test to prove himself but someone is threatening him with a clip of Wei Wei giving him AED with her bare hands. Mai Si Chong is willing to sacrifice his swimming career to keep her superpowers a secret. Mai Si Chong thinks it’s Peng Pai who’s threatening him. I have an honest question. Is him receiving electro-therapy from Wei Wei considered cheating? She’s using superpowers to heal his wounds. That is an unfair advantage. Or are we looking at her superpowers like it’s a common electro-physiotherapy that is legal in any sport?
This episode, Mai Si Chong is also willing to eat her awful food.
[Ep20] Mai Si Chong confronts Peng Pai. Peng Pai clarifies that no matter how much he hates him, he won’t hurt Wei Wei. Peng Pai tries to convince him to go for the examination. Mai Si Chong refuses. He can give up swimming but Wei Wei will be giving up her life if the video is exposed. Her life is his too.
Wei Wei learns from Peng Pai about Mai Si Chong’s sacrifice for her. She doesn’t want him to give up her dream for her. But to him, she’s more important. They have two more days to find the person threatening him before the deadline for his health examination.
Everyone starts to suspect Xia Rui. Mai Si Chong doesn't believe it until he calls up the unknown number who has been threatening him. Xia Rui’s phone starts ringing.

[Ep21] Mai Si Chong confronts Xia Rui. The boys fight each other. Xia Rui won’t back down though. Forcing Mai Si Chong out of the team is the only way he can enter. The friends who didn’t know about Wei Wei’s superpowers now know. They promise to keep it a secret for her. The only problem is Xia Rui. Jun Jun visits him but he won’t give in.
Mai Si Chong calls Wei Wei and assures her he’s okay being a swimming coach. What matters is their safety and happiness. Wei Wei tries to hide her crying through the phone. She’s undergoing an innovative therapy to rid her of her superpowers. It’s a painful process. It requires shocking her to neutralize the electricity in her. Wei Wei faints. When she wakes up and sees Mai Si Chong she realizes her electricity is gone.
[Ep22] Mai Si Chong is at Wei Wei’s home and meets Dad. Dad wants to be scary towards Mai Si Chong but Mom pulls Dad by the ear to stop lecturing their future son in law.
They quickly go to get his health examination but it’s too late. It’s getting late at night so they stay over at a hotel but there’s only one room left. Mai Si Chong can barely sit still when Wei Wei is showering. When Wei Wei blows her hair, Mai Si Chong offers to help. They don’t spend the night together because Mai Si Chong is too noble. He asked the front desk if there was another room. There was.
Mai Si Chong couldn’t get his health examination in time but the coaches trust him. A completion is hosted between Mai Si Chong and Xia Rui for the spot on the team. Xia Rui forfeits. He lost before the race even started. He's been feeling guilt the entire time. He leaves an apology letter to Mai Si Chong. Mai Si Chong can continue his swimming career.
Mai Si Chong teaches Wei Wei how to swim. She hugs onto him tightly in the water. She never swam before because of her condition. He tells her to look forward to their electricity-free life together. She kisses Mai So Chong. Mai Si Chong kisses her back.
Everything seems peaceful but Wei Wei notices there's something odd with her body. She's producing electricity even when her heart rate is normal. Apparently, it's because she took the entire bottle of medication last time (in order to heal faster so that she wound't be a burden to Mai Si Chong).
For the next few months, Mai Si Chong hasn't heard a thing from Wei Wei while he was training. He learns very belatedly about Wei Wei's condition. After a lot of effort and barely any hints, he manages to find her. However, she lies that she doesn't love him. She doesn't need a boyfriend who's away training all the time. Heartbroken, he leaves. He also receives a call that his swimming training schedule is advanced. He needs to return ASAP. Who does he choose?
He stays with Wei Wei. He buys her the small firework again. He tells her that as long as he needs her, he'll be there for her. She reminds him that it's impossible between them. Mai Si Chong gives her a kiss. That solves all her insecurities. He's willing to be with her even if she shocks him to death. The two are back together.
Three years later (when iPhone X is out), Mai Si Chong has won another championship. Li Da Xi is a reporter. She interviews Mai Si Chong asking him what he wants to do the most right now. He wants to propose.
Other people: Ding Yi is a coach. He's still together with Li Da Xi. Xia Rui is studying medicine. Jun Jun inherited her family's business. Mai Si Chong gives Jun Jun's contact information to Xia Rui and he finally calls her after three years.
Mai Si Chong gives Wei Wei a map. It leads her to an aquarium. Mai Si Chong appears in the water. He's scuba diving to guide her around the aquarium. He comes back out and gives her a Poke Ball. Inside is a ring. He had wondered if it was too quick but no matter what he's going to choose her. If she thinks it's too fast, he can wait a year or ten years. But she's willing to marry him now. Immediately, he kneels down and slips the ring on her finger.
Mai Si Chong: This lifetime, I have decided on you, Pikachu.

Remarks
[First Impression (Ep1-6)] That's it. I officially love Zhang Ling He. I can watch him in anything. Thus this review will be biased. I'll try my best to be objective. I actually don't know how much I'll love this drama without Zhang Ling He. This is a low budget drama but it does have a unique story. Our female lead can electrocute you into love. Upon her touching you when her heart rate is above a certain threshold, you will fall in love with her. That's how our male lead falls for our female lead. It becomes quite hilarious when he's obliviously electrocuted by her to him begging her to electrocute him. It‘s a bizarre premise for the female character but I think this will be a sincere yet fluffy romance.

[Ending] Happy. It’s a little rushed though. Did I miss what career path Wei Wei took? Also, how was she cured? Is she even cured?
[Review] Sparkle Love is simply cute at its best. It doesn’t quite hit the sweet spot but it tries to be very, very sweet. I’d only recommend this if you’re a fan of the leads. However, even if you’re a fan, this isn’t their strongest drama. It’s a downgrade from Maiden Holmes for Zhang Ling He and from "Love by Hypnotic" for Ling Mei Shi. In fact, I barely recognize Ling Mei Shi. She’s unbelievably plain which is surprising because I liked her in Love By Hypnotic. If Zhang Ling He debuted with this drama, I don’t think I’d be a fan of his. I don’t think I’d even finish this drama.
Just to clarify, the drama isn’t disappointing; it just feels very cotton-y without the candy. Light without much substance and subjectively sweet.
