Summary
[Ep1-8] It’s mystery thriller detailing a girl’s revenge story for her brother who committed suicide in 2010. Chen An was accused of murdering someone. None of his friends helped him testify. His sister, Gu Qing Zhou is on a mission to avenge her brother. Her real name is Chen An Qi. Her revenge takes form eight years later in 2018. She’s knocking down one victim at a time according to her brother’s journal. Her first target is Fang Hua. He was to marry Wen Ke Er but instead he falls from the ceiling, severely injuring himself. Pictures of him cheating scatter across the wedding venue.
Wen Mo Lin is a restaurant owner. He’s Wen Ke Er’s brother, a very loving one and an overly doting one. He used to be a police officer but after a case eight years ago he quit. He was investigating a murder and the suspect was a high schooler called Chen An. Wen Mo Lin was chasing him but Chen An chose to jump off the cliff instead.
The twist: When Gu Qing Zhou is done ruining the lives of those who made her brother commit suicide, she realizes her brother might still be alive. Another twist: Her brother might not be innocent at all.
Each episode starts with scenes in the future where Wen Ke Er is speaking with her psychologist detailing the events of 2018 which is the present time the drama is taking place. Eight episodes in, it’s still a mystery why Wen Ke Er is so disheveled that she needs a psychologist. On the notes, she is suicidal. In her hands she clutches onto Chen An’s journal saying that this journal is proof that someone wants to kill her. In 2018, she was Gu Qing Zhou’s target because Wen Ke Er could have testified that Chen An saved her and therefore could not have murdered someone else in the same timeframe. But she didn’t testify. Wen Mo Lin tells Gu Qing Zhou it’s not that her sister didn’t testify, it’s that she couldn’t remember anything to testify. After she was saved, Wen Ke Er became selectively amnesiac. Gu Qing Zhou has thus stopped her attempts at targeting her. But someone else is still after her.
Each episode also ends with a cliffhanger. Hang tight, y'all.
[Ep1] Gu Qing Zhou makes a husband-to-be (Fang Hua) fall to a near death experience and even attempts to kill him in the hospital. The wife-to-be is Wen Ke Er. Gu Qing Zhou has her on her hit list too. She easily befriends Wen Ke Er, waiting for a chance to ruin her too. She moves in next door and installs a hidden camera in her home to monitor her every movement. Wen Ke Er’s brother, Wen Mo Lin, is an ex-police officer who’s hunting down on the suspect of her sister’s fiancé’s case. He starts to suspect Gu Qing Zhou.
Mini Recaps
[Ep2] The shrimp scene where Wen Mo Lin’s sister (Wen Ke Er) complained about how he peeled more shrimps for Gu Qing Zhou was cute.
[Ep3] Gu Qing Zhou is sniffing around homes this episode. She’s hit in the waist but before she can tend to her injuries, she has to rush home to avoid Wen Mo Lin’s suspicions. But he knows with one look at her posture that she's injured. The next time he rings her doorbell, he barges into her condo and pushes her down. Brashly, he lifts her shirt just enough to tend to her injuries. It’s a romantic moment. These two have built quite the tension since she opened the door to talk to him. They both know there’s more to each other but neither are willing to give in first.
The next home Gu Qing Zhou is lurking in is Wen Mo Lin’s. He just came out of the shower and he’s half naked. She’s squeezing herself under couches and between furniture to hide from him. However, she cannot hide from the beautiful scene bestowed to her eyes when his towel drops. I really liked how this entire scene was filmed.

[Ep4] Gu Qing Zhou is kidnapped. I thought it was pretty smart for her to write four dots on the parking lot ground. It’s to lead Wen Mo Lin to the place her dog is located. Her dog is called “Dot Dot” in Mandarin. Wen Mo Lin ends up being captured with Gu Qing Zhou when he tried to save her. His mouth is taped and he wants her to help him remove it. Reluctantly, with her mouth (for a very long sensual scene) she rips the tape off his mouth. Then they have to untie their hands. O-kay, so why didn’t they untie their hands first and then his mouth. Because there’s no romance if we did it that way. Aight.
I like Gu Qing Zhou’s action scenes (i.e when she flung the long pillar around). They’re fun and thrilling to watch.
Gu Qing Zhou is on a mission to get back at all the friends who betrayed her brother. One of the friends, He Zi Qin reveals her brother had no friends to begin with. There was a reason why everyone ostracized him.

[Ep5] Wen Mo Lin finds out that Gu Qing Zhou‘s real name is Chen An Qi. She’s the sister of Chen An. His case was Wen Mo Lin’s last case eight years ago before he had retired as a police officer. He watched her brother commit suicide (jump off the cliff).
Gu Qing Zhou asks Mu Sen (the doctor, her friend) for help. He doesn’t ask her much but says he’ll help. She wants an ambulance. Lol. Gu Qing Zhou and Mu Sen create the perfect alibi so that they have nothing to do with the poor torturing of the victim. That man will have permanent AED burn marks on his chest now because of Gu Qing Zhou.
Gu Qing Zhou has one more person left on her revenge list: Wen Ke Er. Wen Mo Lin clarifies that the night Chen An saved her, she lost her memories. She couldn’t testify that he wasn’t a murderer.

[Ep6] Wen Ku Er fell in love with her fiancé because she thought he was the one who saved her eight years ago. But it was actually Chen An.
[Ep7] Chen An might be alive! Wen Mo Li returns to the police station to re-investigate the case.
The elevator scene. Gu Qing Zhou avoids Wen Mo Lin after she tried to harm his sister (and after she tried to save her sister but he misunderstood her). When he gets on the same elevator as her, she leaves. Thus, he pretends to be forgetful to leave the elevator for her sake. Prior to elevator door closing, she kicks his bag down near the elevator doors, knocking all its content out, lol. Can’t mess with her.
Gu Qing Zhou apologizes to Wen Ke Er for harming her but Wen Mo Li interrupts. He doesn't want her sister to know that a friend she trusted so much betrayed her. Wen Mo Li and Gu Qing Zhou also make up. They travel to her hometown to investigate if her brother is indeed alive.
Mu Sen is way to shocked seeing Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin at the hotel. This drama and their brother complexes. Yes, I think Doc is brother. There’s no more rooms in the hotel, so both men sleep at her place. Wen Mo Lin is immensely disturbed by the stark nakedness the Doc likes to sleep in. He suffers the whole night trying to sleep in the same bed as him.

[Ep8] Chen An had a mysterious girlfriend back in 2010. Wan Yao Yao? Currently, she’s He Zi Qin's wife (soon to be ex-wife). I like the scene where she splashed water at him and he blocks it. However, she ups him by spitting the water in her mouth at him. Can’t mess with the girls in this drama.
A group of thugs are after Gu Qing Zhou. Wen Mo Lin grabs her to an alley, pins her down to look like lovers doing what lovers do in the alley. He tells her to untie his belt. He needs the belt as a weapon. These romance scenes are quite inventive. They promise to flee together on the count of three but she runs at the count of two, lol. She does come running back with a brick to help him.
[Ep9] Wen Ke Er finds out Gu Qing Zhou approached her to sabotage her. The girls argue. Wen Ke Er makes her brother choose between them. Wen Mo Lin being the doting brother that he is chooses Wen Ke Er.
Wen Mo Lin is preparing food in the kitchen. He’s only wearings shorts and an apron. In other words he’s half naked with an apron on. I have to say I really hate this look on men. He tries to put in a few good words for Gu Qing Zhou and that earns him a kick out of the house. Thus, Wen Mo Lin is stranded outside without a shirt on. He wanders between his own condo and Gu Qing Zhou's. Gu Qing Zhou won’t open the door for him either. She's offended he chose his sister without any hesitation whatsoever.
Mu Sen arrives for dinner at Gu Qing Zhou’s place. Thanks to him, Wen Mo Lin gets to enter too. Thus, he’s cooking for them to eat.
He Zi Qin is threatened by Wan Yao Yao. She wants money. However, all his money has been transferred by his lover, Sang Yu. Wan Yao Yao tells him that Sang Yu has already hitched a man richer than him. He Zi Qin angrily barges into Sang Yu’s place to look for this man. There’s no one there. He Zi Qin then receives a message for an unknown person threatening him the safety of his daughter (Yi Yi). He Zi Qin then goes running off to Wan Yao Yao’s place to find Yi Yi. Poor He Zi Qin who's running everywhere. He’s being threatened by everyone. He barges into two woman’s home, both of them are using him. Meanwhile, in Sang Yu’s room, there really is another man. He was hiding behind the big portrait. This man is Fang Hua’s father. Ew.
He Zi Qin was so angry at Wan Yao Yao he almost strangled her to death. She didn’t kidnap Yi Yi though. He Zi Qin is then almost killed by a masked man. This man also tries to kill Wan Yao Yao. Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin arrive on scene and see the masked man. Gu Qing Zhou recognizes him as her brother. But is he the doctor though?
[Ep10] We all thought Wan Yao Yao was Chen An's ex-girlfriend but she's not. She always liked Fang Hua. Eight years ago she was abroad. She couldn't possibly be Chen An's girlfriend. This mysterious girlfriend might be Yi Yi's mother, Sang Yu. Gu Qing Zhou found her picture book. She recognizes a picture from inside, it's Sang Yu's naked backside in the ocean. Yi Yi tells her that this picture was taken by Sang Yu's boyfriend. In Chen An's journal, a scene of his girlfriend like this was depicted.
[Ep11] There's a double date, sort of. Wen Mo Lin, Gu Qing Zhou, Wen Ke Er, and Mu Sen have lunch together. Wen Ke Er wanted to have lunch with just Mu Sen to thank him for listening to her woes about her amnesia. She has a crush on him. Ke Er becomes a bit jealous when Mu Sen picks food for Gu Qing Zhou. It doesn't help that her brother also picks food for Gu Qing Zhou. There might actually be two brothers in this table. If Mu Sen really is Chen An...
Fang Hua and Wan Yao Yao are guilty of something. Wan Yao Yao thinks they should run away from Chen An while they can. Fang Hua wants to fight Chen An head on. He smirks as he stares into the mirror he smashed; he wants to know if Chen An is real or a ghost.
Fang Hua and Wang Yao Yao tie up Gu Qing Zhou to threaten Chen An to show up. Gu Qing Zhou is once again reminded by her brother's "friends" that Chen An is no good guy. They tell her there's a reason why they all chose to accuse Chen An and no one else.
It's Wen Mo Lin who shows up to save Gu Qing Zhou. He's ambushed by a gang when he arrives. Lurking at the back without anyone noticing is Chen An. Or who we all believe is Chen An.
[Ep12] There's more to Fang Hua, Wan Yao Yao and Gu Qing Zhou's conversation before Wen Mo Lin had arrived. Fang Hua and his friends (including He Zi Qin) were accused of destroying exam papers but it was Chen An's mysterious girlfriend who we still cannot see. His "friends" never saw her girlfriend either. They think he was hallucinating her all along.
Wen Mo Lin arrives to save Gu Qing Zhou. He manages to fend off the gang. She notices another man by the stairs. It's Chen An. Wen Mo Lin chases after him but he doesn't catch him. The next moment, we cut to a scene of Wan Yao Yao finding a dead Fang Hua.
Mu Sen, a surgeon, is a full fledged psychologist for Wen Ke Er. Wen Mo Lin is suspicious of Mu Sen after seeing a pair of glasses that looks like Chen An's. However, Mu Sen has a receipt as proof that he bought the pair of glasses to trigger Wen Ke Er's forgotten memories.
[Ep13] In 2010, Sang Yu has a video clip.
Wen Ke Er learns of Fang Hua's death through his father (Fang Hai). She visits his funeral where Wan Yao Yao was waiting for her. Wan Yao Yao tells the truth to Wen Ke Er and how she is involved with Chen An's murder case. In 2010, Fang Hua was planning to confess to Wen Ke Er that night but a security guard prohibits them (He Zi Qin, Wan Yao Yao, and this other guy are also there) from lighting candles on school premise. There's a brawl between the men and the security guard falls over, clutching at his chest. He's dead. The four of them run away. However, Wen Ke Er is still on her way to the rooftop and that's when she was saved by Chen An. With Wen Ke Er's selective amnesia, the four friends decide to blame the murder of the security guard on Chen An.
It's Gu Qing Zhou's birthday. She's celebrating it with a tart and a single candle in her old home. Her birthday is also the death anniversary of her brother, which might not be his death anniversary anymore. She blows out the candle to say goodbye to her brother. She wants to start a new life without him in her shadows. Wen Mo Lin shows up with a cake. He's here to celebrate it with her. He also gives her a birthday present. It's a necklace. She lets him put it on for her. These two are at a new stage in their relationship. They sleep in her home (in separate rooms). In the morning there's a cute teeth-brushing and egg-peeling moment.
Wen Ke Er updates Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin about everything Wan Yao Yao has told her. Wen Ke Er and Gu Qing Zhou also make up.
Cliffhanger: Sang Yu's evil smirk as she processes the picture that Chen An supposedly took for her. Sweet. She also has the video of the night with the security guards.
[Ep14] The episode begins with the psychologists asking Wen Ke Er why she hasn't seen Chen An. They are in the same university after all. However, Wen Ke Er really doesn't have any recollection of him.
Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin watch a movie together. Wen Ke Er was supposed to be there but she purposely ditched them to give them alone time. Wen Mo Lin takes Gu Qing Zhou's hand in his. Gi Qing Zhou return with a kiss to his cheek.
It turns out Fang Hua's dad knew of his son's involvement in the security guard's death. He wants Sang Yu to emigrate with him but she's already planning to leave to the States with Yi Yi. He threatens her that they're on the same boat but she threatens him back that she has the video clip of his son that night the security guard died.
Wan Yao Yao directs Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin to Sang Yu as the possible mysterious girlfriend of Chen An's. However, Sang Yu says she hates Chen An the most. It was because of him she was expelled. She was accused of making graffiti on school buildings because of him. The love letter that Wan Yao Yao saw Chen An hand to Sang Yu was actually written by He Zi Qin. So, Sang Yu isn't the mysterious girlfriend either. What if it's Wen Ke Er...?
Gu Qing Zhou asks Chen An's previous professor about her brother. Her brother would provide counseling for other students. One of the students was Wen Ke Er. These twists. Wen Ke Er told Chen An. "I don't want to be who other people think I am. I want to let go of myself and be crazy." And thus she's the crazy mysterious girlfriend who ripped up the exam papers and made the graffiti. Chen An was protecting her all along.
[Ep15] Wen Ke Er tells the psychologist the girlfriend in Chen An's diary isn't her. She thinks it's Chen An's imagination.
2018 (Present time). Sang Yu meets up with Fang Hai to get the money she wants and the video clip he wants. They meet at a dock. As the dad is watching her leave, a man in scuba diving gear pulls the dad into the water, drowning him. Dad's corpse is then stuffed into this man's car trunk. He's the man who had comforted Wan Yao Yao. Did this man appear anywhere else, because I don't remember him.
Gu Qing Zhou learns of her brother's psychological problems. The Wen Ke Er in his journal never existed. It was all his own imaginations. From the immense pressure his mother was giving him, Chen An had started developing a separate persona. His imaginary girlfriend just had the facial features of Wen Ke Er when he doesn't even know her in real life. Gu Qing Zhou learns of her brother's illness and tearfully apologizes that she wasn't there for him when he needed her most. At this rate, there's five more plot twists.
[Ep16] Gu Qing Zhou is drunk. She thinks back to her brother. If only she had picked up on his signs, perhaps he wouldn't have turned out to be what he is today. Wen Mo Lin picks her up and puts her to his bed. In the morning it becomes awkward when Wen Ke Er is in the kitchen preparing breakfast. There's no where for Wen Mo Lin to smuggle Gu Qing Zhou out of his home. There's no need though because Wen Ke Er already knows she's there.
Wen Ke Er is getting traces of her memories back. The night she fainted when Chen An saved her she had witnessed a man falling down from the balcony.
Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin suspect that Sang Yu is hiding something. Chen An is targeting everyone who was involved in accusing him. Sang Yu reveals that in the video clip, the security guard hasn't died yet. There was someone else in the clip.
[Ep17] Gu Qing Zhou has a plan to lure her brother out. She tempts him out by leaving a note that she knows who the murderer is. However, when she does lure him out, she doesn't have the heart to capture him. Because of this, Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin fight.
Mu Sen is leaving to the States. He's saying his goodbye to Gu Qing Zhou. It's oddly emotional on his end.
There's another person leaving this episode. It's Sang Yu. She's fleeing from the police officers for some reason. She entrusts Yi Yi to Gu Qing Zhou to send her to her grandmother. On her way to the airport, she suddenly finds it difficult to breath. The taxi driver is...Chen An?
[Ep18] Wen Ke Er tells the psychologist Sang Yu died. Chen An's next target is Wen Ke Er.
Present time. Wen Ke Er starts remembering her forgotten memories. The security guard was still alive when she saw him. Mu Sen's hand trembles when he hears this. In the next scene, Mu Sen has Wen Ke Er tied up in his car. Woah.
Mu Sen is the suspect the police are after. Wen Mo Lin and Gu Qing Zhou are in Mu Sen's condo. Inside his closet they find the checkered shirts, the glasses and Chen An's hair. He was pretending to be Chen An all along and leaving Chen An's DNA in each scene. He's the one killing everyone. He killed Sang Yu with a poisoned water bottle. He killed Fang Hai and sabotaged it to that man. He crashed into Wan Yao Yao, he killed Fang Hua in the car, he stabbed He Zi Qin (who is the only one still possibly alive), and he suffocated the other dude in the ambulance car.
What is Mu Sen's motive? He's killing everyone involved to avenge the security guard.
Wen Ke Er remembers all the details now. It was her in the video clip that Sang Yu has. The security guard woke up. She asked him if he was okay but the guard seemed to be in a trance and ran off the building by himself. He fell to his own demise. Wen Ke Er witnessed everything. Mu Sen doesn't believe her (that she had nothing to do with the death).
[Ep19] When Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin arrive on scene, Wen Ke Er has already fallen unconscious. Mu Sen ran away.
The security guard is not Mu Sen's biological grandfather but he's the closest family he has. His father would always abuse him and it was this security guard who cared for him. Mu Sen has now captured Gu Qing Zhou. He takes her to the place Chen An supposedly committed suicide. Mu Sen tells Gu Qing Zhou that he and Chen An were supposed to meet up but Chen An was dead before Mu Sen could see him. Mu Sen saw his journal and believes Chen An did not kill the security guard. His revenge wasn't just for his grandfather but also for those accusing the innocent Chen An.
Mu Sen reveals to Gu Qing Zhou that Wen Ke Er admitted to killing Chen An. There's a flashback of Mu Sen and Wen Ke Er in the balcony. She confesses it was her who accidentally pushed the security guard down. It was her who manipulated Fang Hua and the others to accuse Chen An. However, she was afraid that Chen An witnessed the guard's death. She went to confirm it with Chen An. But Chen An thinks this Wen Ke Er is the one in his imagination. Wen Ke Er manages to manipulate Chen An's psychological disorder to convince him to turn in to the police. That's when Chen An snaps out of it. The Wen Ke Er in his hallucination would never say that to him. Wen Ke Er then hits Chen An unconscious. She's about to make another blow but the episode ends like that. This can't be real.
[Ep20] Prologue. Wen Ke Er tells the psychologist that Mu Sen took Chen An's clothes and glasses to pretend he committed suicide in front of Wen Mo Lin.
Present time. Gu Qing Zhou fakes her alliance with Mu Sen. She knows Wen Ke Er couldn't have killed Chen An. In his autopsy result, there was no injury to the back of his head. Wen Ke Er was receiving treatment back then too; she couldn't have been in two places at the same time. Gu Qing Zhou had tried to poison Mu Sen (with the same poison he used against Sang Yu) but failed because it wasn't poison. She's now in his hands.
Mu Sen finally tells Gu Qing Zhou the truth. It was Mu Sen who killed Chen An. It was the only murder he regretted. However, before he kills Gu Qing Zhou (who he likes by the way), he wants to kill Wen Ke Er first. But he's not fast enough because Wen Mo Lin finds the hideout and the two men fight. The police arrive on scene and Mu Sen is arrested.
That was Wen Ke Er's story to the psychologist. The psychologist thanks her and asks her to listen to his story. It's also Wen Ke Er's story. He tells her Wen Ke Er went for her dance class and she saw the security guard on the floor. She tried to save him but she accidentally made him fall off the balcony. She was too shocked at the death thinking that she killed the man which is why her brain shut down on those details. However, the guilt continue to grow in her so much that she started to imagine different characters in her life. Gu Qing Zhou represents justice. Wen Mo Lin is her protector that can accept her everything. Mu Sen characterizes her evil nature that she believes she has. Chen An is her guilt. All the other victims are also her imagination to take the blame for her crime. Her supposed crime.
Wen Ke Er doesn't believe the psychologist so he shows her one person. It's Mu Sen. But he's not the Mu Sen in her imaginations. He indeed is the security guard's grandson. He knows that Wen Ke Er had tried her best to save his grandfather. With this video conference, Wen Ke Er starts believing this reality. She thanks the psychologist. She asks him what about the people in her imagination. The psychologist assures her that the awful person was already defeated by her. The people left are all the good ones. Wen Ke Er tells the psychologist she wants to say goodbye to them.
We go back to Chen An. He's writing his last journal entry. He's going to take his medication and say goodbye to his Wen Ke Er. He knows that this Wen Ke Er is fake. He's been avoiding the police because he doesn't want to stop imagining her. However, Chen An has made a decision to leave her, to go back to his sister and celebrate her birthday. The fake Wen Ke Er feeds him his medication. She tells him that she truly loved him. She gives him a hug. In another frame, it's Chen An hugging himself.
We get a scene of Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin. They find Chen An's last journal entry which is full of Gu Qing Zhou. Wen Mo Lin comforts her that in his last moment, his mind was full of her. Gu Qing Zhou is glad that her brother was able to overcome his problems in the end.
Gu Qing Zhou asks Wen Mo Lin when he liked her. It was when she hurt herself after barging into He Zi Qin's home. The pain was dreadful but she still kept a straight face. He really wanted to protect her back then. Meanwhile she fell in love with him way before that. It was when she just moved in and she set her eyes on him.
Remarks
[First Impression (Ep1-8)] Surprisingly good. There's a bit of everything: mystery, thriller, action, and romance. There are cliffhangers every episode. There are mysteries that are intriguing and hard to predict. There are steamy romantic scenes that might be a little forced but I think these two sell it so I’ll take it. The music is gorgeous. Whenever they play Duan Ao Juan's "Performance" my eyes are glued to the screen. There are so many parts that are good but for the overall story I'm a bit reserved to give it a high praise because it really depends on how it ends. As for now, it's interesting on what the deal is with the brother.
[Actors/Actresses] Li Ze Feng is seriously a good looking male lead who is very fitting of his role: a serious police officer, a doting brother, and a romantic. Alia is stunning in her role. I usually don't pay a lot of attention to actions scenes, but hers were quite awesome and entertaining. Together, Li Ze Feng and Alia have a mature chemistry in the works.
[Behind the Scenes]
[Ending] Don’t read this if you think you want to watch this drama. The entire drama builds up to this ending. It’ll drain all the fun to know the ending prior to watching this. The last twist was disappointing. Everything is Wen Ke Er’s hallucination. That means Wen Mo Lin and Gu Qing Zhou are fake. That means Chen An never existed. I cannot and will not applaud a drama for ending off everything as a dream. There’s no satisfaction whatsoever in this type of ending. Although they gave us a “happy ending”, I can’t be happy when Gu Qing Zhou and Wen Mo Lin are only Wen Ke Er’s alternate ego.
It’s interesting to note that the real Wen Ke Er had an imaginary Chen An who had an imaginary Wen Ke Er who was actually an imaginary Chen An with Wen Ke Er’s face.
Personally, I don’t think Chen An only represented Wen Ke Er’s guilt. Wen Ke Er projected herself as Chen An. The last scene of Chen An bidding farewell to the imaginary Wen Ke Er is metaphorical to Wen Ke Er bidding farewell with her imaginations. When Chen An hugged himself it is equivalent to Wen Ke Er coming in terms with reality. Although I don’t like the ending I like how thought-provoking the entire drama is and especially this scene.
Final Review
[Review] I think I like this. Prior to Ep20, I could have definitely said I love this. Similar to Missing Persons, everything was amazing except the last episode. Miss Gu’s ending is much better though. At least Miss Gu ended. It’s just not an ending I like. It is still considered a happy one.
Every episode was contrived to contradict the previous. Each of them ends with a twist. That means there's twenty twists in this twenty episode drama. Past Ep10, it was hard to pause the drama with all the cliffhangers. Miss Gu lived up to being a suspense thriller for its entirety. No dull moment. I had three different guesses for Chen An’s mysterious girlfriend and I was wrong each time.
The actors aren’t that mainstream but I love it when dramas find these type of actors who have skills. Because that means the drama spent an equal amount on the staff, the script, and the editing. I don’t know how to compliment these actors anymore.
I would love to rate this higher but it used the type of ending I cannot appreciate. See ending commentary. Despite it ending the way it did, the rest of the drama was a thrilling experience.
[Verdict] If my comments on the ending deter you from watching the drama then you might be missing out on a journey that leaves you fascinated with each twist.
