[Ep1] Fang Yan is a professional voice dubber. She’s auditioning for a role but her senior purposely plays a video to scare her. The senior knows that once she’s frightened, she’ll be like a zombie, transfixed in her own mind. In that state of hers, she walks by Shi Meng. He glances at her oddly. (He’s the CEO of an entertainment company.) Fang Yan’s psychologist tells her she lacks security. If she can find true love, perhaps that will be the cure she needs.

Fang Yan is in another trance after Shi Yi's fans scare her. Shi Yi is a superstar, an idol. In her trance, Fang Yan slips and Shi Meng catches her. The next scene, Fang Yan is already up and that’s considered a miracle. It's the shortest trance she’s ever had. 

Fang Yan misunderstands that the man’s arms she fell asleep in was Shi Yi because Shi Meng was wearing the same white suit. I know what this is now, it's Sleeping Beauty! Shi Meng is the Prince Charming in a white frilly suit who wakes up the sleeping but awake beauty. Fang Yan is determined to find Shi Yi so that she can 'sleep' with him to cure her disorder. She’s also his fan. 

Coincidentally, Shi Yi is also a fan of Fang Yan's voice dubbing. He follows her on social media where she narrates stories. Knowing that Shi Yi is this voice dubber's fan, Shi Meng is determined to sign her. And that's how all their fate will tie up. As if destiny had called upon them, Shi Meng and Fang Yan meet the third time today. 

Fang Yan’s voice-over: First time we met might be a coincidence; second time we met might be a inevitable. If we meet the third time, it must be fate then.

Fang Yan was in her music store when she saw a man standing in the rain. She walks out and shields Shi Meng with an umbrella. Pretty scene. 

I really like the first meeting with Fang Yan in red clothes and him carrying a black umbrella as they pass by each other to this third meeting with the red umbrella as they look at each other. 

[Ep2] Fang Yan invites Shi Meng into her music store. He nods and takes the umbrella from her; their hands fleetingly touch. They don’t know who the other is. It’s just a trivial thing strangers do for each other. The criteria is both of them have to be good looking. After he saves her from a falling CD, the two engage in a conversation about fate. Basically, she believes in fate and he doesn’t. She makes a bet with him that if out of the ten passerby there’s one of them who are a couple, then she wins the bet and thus fate exists. Logic, turn off. If there isn’t a couple then he wins and she’ll give him a music record (related to "Fate") for free. 

When the tenth passerby is single, he covers her eyes. Omg this made my heart flutter. She turns to him. He turns her head back to the window. He reminds her that her bet was by the tenth passerby in front of her eyes. Thus, he covers her eyes until a couple shows up. He lets her win the bet. The two are off to a pretty good start for strangers but when he sees her journal, he immediately scorns at her. In the journal she wrote "How to sleep with Shi Yi." 

By the way, Shi Meng and Shi Yi are brothers. For an undisclosed reason, Shi Meng isn’t very fond of his brother. However, they do have business connections. Shi Yi is writing the OST for the movie Shi Meng is producing. Shi Meng also wants him to star in his movie. 

Fang Yan and Shi Meng meet yet again. She’s auditioning for a role his company is offering in order to meet Shi Yi. She needs to "sleep" with him or at least be with him in her trance to cure herself. Shi Meng thinks she’s a brainless Shi Yi fan and a bribing artist. He harshly lectures her. Fang Yan is thoroughly offended. She takes out the goose figurine he left behind the other night and almost has a full minute of ranting with the goose (she’s dubbing the goose). Lol. I was waiting for her to stop daydreaming but it was all real. Shi Meng soon realizes he needs her. She’s the voice dubber he needs to sign in order to sign Shi Yi. He shows up at her door to offer her a contract but she’s playing hard to get. Her manager, Zuo Yao, reminds Fang Yan she needs to sign with him in order to meet Shi Yi. Thus, Fang Yan tests his professionalism. If he passes, she’ll sign. Her test is for him to pass three of her voice dubbing scenarios; two of them, the director does it for him. 

The last one is ‘Tongue Kiss’. She had wanted him to do it with the director. However, Shi Yi backs her to the wall and confirms with her that the deal was he can use anything in the room to complete the task. What will he do? 

[Ep3]  Shi Meng takes the lollipop out of Fang Yan’s mouth to recreate a Tongue Kiss sound. He passes her test dully but there’s one more: she wants to see Shi Yi instantly. This reconfirms Shi Meng’s misconception of her as Shi Yi’s crazy fan. Shi Meng delivers on his promise. He brings Fang Yan to his mother’s birthday dinner. 

Fang Yan and Shi Yi meet. Fang Yan starts blurting her diagnosis to him. He’s patiently listening, but inside, he must be rolling his eyes a million times. 

Shi Yi: How do you want to be at my side? 

Fang Yan: I want to be with you as long as possible. Lol. 

Shi Yi: So like 24 hours? 

Fang Yan: Yes, yes  **T/N I'm not actually translating this thoroughly

Shi Yi: So how do you want to be treated/cured? 

Fang Yan: I want you, when I’m in a trance, to have me in your arms. LOL

Shi Yi is not pleased at all. He asks her curtly if she wants a signature or a hug right now. Fang Yan knows immediately he misunderstood her. The drama just made a saesang fan mentality a “legit” disease. Hahaha. Shi Meng overhears their entire conversation. Now to both brothers, she’s just a crazy and moronic fan. 

Shi Meng’s mother is ecstatic to have a woman near her son. She offers a contract to Fang Yan to be her son’s live in maid for two months. Fang Yan immediately signs thinking she’ll be Shi Yi’s personal maid. The job starts pronto and Fang Yan is already living in the condo. She was cleaning his room when Shi Meng starts changing into pyjamas in the room. Fang Yan doesn’t see the face of the man changing, she only sees a birthmark on his back. When he hears a sound he immediately spins around. Fang Yan is down on her knees, um, down on her entire body. She apologizes to ‘Shi Yi' and swears to not expose his birthmark to his fans. She soon realizes he’s not Shi Yi. Neither are happy seeing each other.

[Ep4] Fang Yan has a huge cancellation fee if she terminated the contract so she’s stuck as his maid. Shi Meng cannot disobey his mother so he’s stuck living with her. He sets up house rules. It’s the usual OCPD rules. The only one that’s new is he has a decibel meter. If her voice is ever over 50dB, she'll pay $5000RMB per blunder. Ha. She immediately breaks that rule and quietly but desperately pleas him to forgive her first mistake.

Fang Yan accidentally uses Shi Meng’s hair removing cream as his shampoo. To make it up in the morning, she presents him a stylish wig. Ha. 

Shi Meng uses Fang Yan to fend off another woman. In the elevator, he puts his arm around her and asks her if she’s cold. 

Shi Meng innocently replies: I’m not cold. 

Fang Yan insists: You are cold. LOL. Oh man. I like this man. 

He puts his jacket around her which royally pisses off the other girl. When that girl leaves, Shi Meng presses the ground level button. After using Fang Yan, he pushes her out the elevator and takes back his jacket. Haha. 

Shi Yi is friends with Fang Yan’s psychologist. He learns that Fang Yan does have the fright-to-daydream psychological disorder. As an apology for misunderstanding her, Shi Yi offers her three favours. 

Second Couple: Zuo Yao and that director (Hao Ying Jun) have a thing. He might be her child’s father? Interesting. I thought she was going to be a typical manager. Zuo Yao insists he’s not the father. The director insists he is.

[Ep5] Fang Yan’s first wish is a personalized autograph from Shi Yi. He also agrees to help her cure her disorder. Before she leaves, he gives her his jacket because it’s cold outside. 

Fang Yan celebrates with her friends via a video call for her successful meeting with Shi Yi. She’s one step closer to being normal. However, her little party is interrupted by Shi Meng. He’s tallied up the times she broke his house rules: 11. She has three days to raise the penalty fee. Thus, she’s in the washroom live streaming. However, Shi Meng needs the washroom, now. She quickly leaves but forgets her phone which is still live-streaming. The audience on her platform is enjoying a naked backside of Shi Meng on the screen. Fang Yan sneaks inside the bathroom to take her phone back but he discovers her. In panic mode, she claims she didn’t do anything. In her hand is her phone that's on live with the camera facing him. The audience is graced with the front view of his body. Haha. 

Shi Meng has had enough of Fang Yan but he can’t fire her. He decides to repel Fang Yan with bugs and reptilians but she’s not scared of those. At night, the lights are out in their condo. Shi Meng successfully manages to scare her with a creepy doll. Fang Yan is in a trance. Shi Meng calls for help and the doctor teaches him to do CPR. First, he needs to keep her warm. Shi Meng grabs Shi Yi’s jacket to cover her. He then needs to give her mouth-to-mouth. Logic, turn off again. Before he kisses her, she’s awake. Fang Yan is confused how she overcame her trance. She thought it was all because of Shi Yi’s jacket. Thus, she's now on a hunt for Shi Yi's belongings. 

Mom video calls Shi Meng. She reveals she lied to Fang Yan that he has OCPD (or Bipolar) to get her to agree being his maid. Now that he knows she’s the one with a disorder and she had wanted to help him cure his supposed disorder, he feels apologetic. He asks her if there's anything he can do to for scaring her "by accident." Thus, she requests for a personal item of Shi Yi’s. Shi Meng’s mood immediately deflates. Not that it was high to begin with. He won’t help her so Fang Yan asks Shi Yi himself via her psychologist. 

[Ep6] Shi Yi gives Fang Yan his harmonica. This will be her second favour from him. Fang Yan is grateful that she doesn’t have to bother him now. Shi Yi is a little disappointed hearing that. 

Fang Yan has to dub a goose so she raises a goose. Professionals do that. Unfortunately, it runs everywhere in the condo, feathers flying about. There’s not a day of peace for Shi Meng, is there? Shi Meng kicks them both out. She phones him to beg him to let her in. He's not talking to her so she talks to herself and dubs Goose as well. From dubbing a miniature fake goose, she’s dubbing a real one. He wasn’t going to let her in but when the lights go out in the hallway, his heart softens. He knows she's afraid of the dark. Once inside, Fang Yan apologizes with apples sliced into a goose shape. I didn’t know that was possible. Fang Yan also returns his mini goose figurine, which he places in this locked room. It’s a room full of memories about his father (and Shi Yi). 

The goose is causing havoc again. It’s stuck in a high place (a chimney in the washroom??). Shi Meng tries to get it down but instead he's the one who falls down and accidentally kisses Fang Yan. Both are extremely affected by the kiss. When the next morning rolls in, both pretend it never happened. Plus, there's another issue. Fan Yang is crying over Shi Yi's harmonica that Goose pooped on in its den. Shi Meng laughs at her. Fan Yang begins to have another conversation with Goose. She threatens Goose that it better fess up about who put her harmonica in the den in the first place otherwise she'll punish it with this holy 'Hair Removal Cream.' It will make all the feather on Goose's body fall and turn it into a bald chicken. Shi Meng is consciously reminded of his shampoo incident as he fixes his own hair. LOL. Fan Yang dubs the Goose's voice to confess that it was Shi Meng who threw the harmonica in the den. Shi Meng denies that he would never do anything that childish. Smirk.

[Ep7] The director is quitting the job. Shi Meng is searching everywhere for the director. Fang Yan thinks his disorder might act up seeing how depressed he is so she tries to find the director via video games. She finds him. They somehow talk about her "disorder" that no one believes. Shi Meng overhears and remembers all the time she looked absent in trance. Through the call, they also figure out the director is at the train station. Together, they leave to find him. Fang Yan twists her leg but she tells Shi Meng to leave first. Shi Meng drops to the ground and tells her to get on his back. She insists he leaves, the director is more important. Shi Meng asks, "Do you want me to be on the ground forever?" Fang Yan gets on. She wipes his forehead sweat and that makes his ears go red. She starts blowing on it which makes it worse. He says it's because he's cold. Absolutely nothing to do with his feelings. She wraps her scarf around him and he's warmed up by her. It's the scarf Shi Yi gave her but Shi Meng doesn't know that. 

Shi Meng and Fang Yan find the director. Over drinks, Shi Meng convinces the director he admires his work that's why the movie has to be directed by him. The drinks continue at home. As they're walking home, Fang Yan sneezes. A drunk Shi Meng tugs her scarf so that she's right in front of him. He wraps the scarf around her and pulls her an inch closer to do nothing else. Fang Yan's heart is flying about as she hugs the scarf. She's all warmed up by him. 

Everyone is a little drunk at Shi Meng's place. When the director learns they're living together, he misunderstands they're dating. Fang Yan tries to explain but a drunk Shi Meng makes the misunderstanding deeper. The director pretends to fall asleep on the couch. Shi Meng drunkly takes Fang Yan's lap as his pillow. Fang Yan pokes at his cheeks and pinches his nose. Her expressions are so cute whenever she thinks she did sometime forbidden to him. Shi Meng is still asleep. Fang Yan sweetly stares at his sleeping face. Fang Yan has seen a whole new side of Shi Meng today: him being truly caring for once. 

Shi Yi posts about the scarf on social media with a message to stay warm. Shi Meng scoffs at the pretentiousness but he realizes the scarf is the one Fang Yan has on her. His mood is immediately spoiled. 

While Shi Meng is walking Goose (LOL), Fang Yan is vacuuming all the feathers shed by Goose. A feather floats into Shi Meng's locked room that isn't currently locked. She wanted to touch his miniature goose but she stops herself. Curiosity did kill the cat. However, her vacuum slightly hits the wooden shelf's leg and the entire shelf tips over. Fang Yan throws it away and orders a similar looking one. 

Shi Meng is back walking Goose. Fang Yan asks for the director. Shi Meng says the director left because he knows her food is terrible. Fang Yan is offended. Shi Meng was about to eat her food but drops everything when she mentions she wants to take Goose to visit Shi Yi. Shi Meng lies that Goose has diarrhea and can only stay home, lol. Shi Meng also reminds her that the audition for her role is today. Fang Yan's mood takes the biggest hit when he discovers she threw away his shelf. He's never raged like this before. 

[Ep8] Fang Yan feels bad but she has no idea why Shi Meng cares so much about the shelf. Before Fang Yan can track down the shelf, he gets a call that his mother had organized a funeral for his dad. Dad disappeared for twenty years. The two brothers fight over this funeral. Shi Meng doesn't believe his father died. Shi Yi wants him to face reality. If their father was alive, he would have come back within these twenty years. 

Fang Yan is late for her audition but she still gets the role with her skills. The senior is jealous once again and frightens her. Fang Yan is in another trance. Shi Meng lifts her in his arms to his office. She falls asleep in his embrace. Meanwhile, Zuo Yao calls Shi Yi for help; he drops everything to rush to her. When he's here, Shi Meng tries to stop him from touching his Fang Yan. Shi Yi gets through but hugging her doesn't work, so he kisses her forehead. Fang Yan wakes up. Her eyes are on Shi Yi though. When the brothers leave to talk outside, Fang Yan is more concerned about Shi Meng seeing the forehead kiss than the forehead kiss by Shi Yi itself. By the way, the brothers are outside having a passive-aggressive argument on who can make the other more jealous about Fang Yan. I think they made each other equally peeved.

Shi Yi takes Fang Yan to karaoke to cheer her up. He tells her his past with Shi Meng. Their father went missing on the day of Shi Meng's eighth birthday to look for Shi Meng. However, after the incident, the brothers blamed each other for their father's disappearance. Shi Yi had said their father disappeared for Shi Meng but Shi Meng says he was abandoned by his brother in the first place. Shi Yi asks Fang Yan who does she think lied in this story. Fang Yan doesn't think it matters who lied, she only thinks the person who lied would feel terrible. A bike zooms by and Shi Yi has Fang Yan in his arms. 

Shi Meng is home alone after a whole night of drinking. Fang Yan tries to take him back to his bed. He wants to puke; she covers his mouth making him swallow his own puke. In a drunk state, he points to her forehead, calling it dirty because Shi Yi had kissed it. Shi Meng falls onto bed and takes off his shirt. Fang Yan has to yank his shirt with all her might to stop him. He suddenly prances forward, "I want... you."

[Ep9] "I want you" is something Fang Yan probably thinks Shi Meng was going to stay. However, what he wanted was water. When she's back in his room, he's playing hide and seek with her. He playfully applies rash powder to her dirtied forehead. Since the rash powder made it all fragrant, he kisses her forehead. 

Shi Meng wakes up forgetting everything last night so he's quite surprised at an extremely annoyed Fang Yan who currently has a red rash on her forehead. She slams the powder in front of him and he starts remembering everything. She's annoyed, but she also presents him the wooden shelf. She went looking for it yesterday which was why she was late for the audition. He thanks her sincerely and smiles at the pink bow tie she added on his shelf. Fang Yan is in the washroom and smiles as she thinks back to his forehead kiss. It's like Shi Yi's forehead kiss never happened to her. Not a single thought of it.

There's a celebration dinner for the movie. Important sponsors are invited. A jealous actress who has a crush on Shi Meng makes Fang Yan drop a crystal goose in the pool. She claims the goose is very important to the sponsor and the movie so Fang Yan jumps into the pool to search for the crystal goose. Shi Meng immediately dives in too. He throws away the goose she just found. When she goes back to look for it, he scoops her into his arm and walks out of the pool. He checks her palm and sees a scratch. Angered, Shi Meng glares at the sponsor and rejects any further investment of his in the movie.

Shi Meng prepares extra clothes for her wet ones. He even bought her a bra. Fang Yan stares at it and criticizes him for looking down on her (because it looks small) but when she glimpses at the size, it's exactly correct. Shi Meng takes her to a doctor and pesters the doctor for medication to cure her flustered face. The doctor is like it ain't necessary. Shi Meng insists. Doctor laughs that this boyfriend of hers is really caring. That's not all to Shi Meng's over-protectiveness. He needs her to see another specialist to check on her external injuries. That 0.5cm superficial scratch on her palm. Dude. No doctor would tend to that so Shi Meng wraps it up himself. And I mean wrap. He makes her hand look like a chubby pig's feet hand. She complains about the ugliness but he tells her he wrapped it like that on purpose to match her pig head. Pft. He's calling her an idiot because she hurt herself over something that wasn't worth it at all. 

Shi Yi takes Fang Yan to a restaurant known for it's delicious pig trotter soup (pig feet soup). It's a leg for a leg, I mean a leg for a hand. But it's a scratch! Meanwhile, Shi Meng is at home learning from his mother how to prepare pig trotter soup. 

Shi Yi asks Fang Yan what type of men she likes. She doesn't know. She's never liked anyone. As Shi Yi describes what love feels like, it's Shi Meng who checks all the description of love Shi Yi is describing for her. Shi Yi tells her love is feeling happy just looking at that person. Fang Yan disagrees. If she loves someone, she'd prefer to be open about it. It shouldn't be hidden. Shi Yi starts wondering about her exaggerated bandages and wants to take it off for her but Fang Yan quickly takes her hand back when she sees Shi Meng. He's outside the condo waiting for her to come home. 

Fang Yan happily discovers Shi Meng made pig trotter soup. He said he made it because he likes it. But she's full from Shi Yi's pig trotter soup. He tells her not to eat it then but she insists she can still eat his (even if she really is super full). Shi Meng suddenly asks her if she's ever been in love. Fang Yan spits out the soup (all over the table and his soup). 

[Ep10] Shi Meng tells Fang Yan that Shi Yi is a womanizer. When Fang Yan looks upset at hearing it, Shi Meng is smiling. She clarifies she regrets not learning how to flirt from him for her flirting-goose-role. What is this movie about? Shi Meng is no longer smiling. Fang Yan changes the topic and calls his face dark (Chinese pin yin: "Hei"). He asks her where and she points at his left cheek, "Sa", and his right cheek, "Lang" and then with both her arms she makes a heart, "Sa-Lang-Hei". She's saying Saranghae, Korean I-love-you. A smile peeps through! But it's a scoff. He's mostly um-impressed. He asks if she needs an extra jacket, "Aren't you cold?" Fang Yan is very confused. She's not cold at all. He's saying her joke/flirting is chillingly cold. At least he responded her with a dad joke of his own xD.

Fang Yan wants to wash her hair because it's stinky. She was taking off the unnecessary bandage but Shi Meng threatens her that if she takes if off, she'll be financially penalized. He even offers to negate her debt if she leaves it on. Fang Yan agrees in a jiffy. However, washing her hair single-handed is difficult. Shi Meng closes her tap water and offers to wash her hair for her. Fang Yan's reaction to the boiling steaming water on her head was cute, lol.

Washing her hair isn't the only thing he offers. He wants to be her acting partner to help her polish her flirting-goose role. He doesn't like her asking Shi Yi for help. Fang Yan begins to immerse herself in her character. She's stuck at one line. Shi Meng finishes it for her.

Shi Meng: Is it me you like?

Fang Yan stares, lost in his eyes:...Yes.

These two were too immersed in their role that Fang Yan almost admitted her unconscious thoughts that she is in love with him. She corrects herself that "yes, that was the line."

After realizing her feelings, Fang Yan takes action and asks Shi Meng for a movie. Her excuse is that she wants him to help her polish her role even more. However, he already watched that movie. It's a rejection. WHY. I'm pouting for her. She throws away the movie tickets thinking he doesn't like her. The next day he texts her that he's free for exactly two hours. The movie date is a go. 

 

Fang Yan accidentally buys tickets for a horror film. Shi Meng is late for the movie because of his meeting. As soon as Shi Meng is finished with the meeting he rushes over to her (especially knowing she's watching a horror film). Shi Yi also runs to her after he got a text from Zuo Yao about the horror film. Who gets there first? Shi Yi. He grabs Fang Yan in for a hug but she's okay. She left the theatre before she was scared to a trance. Shi Meng is late a beat and watches the two of them hug. 

Fang Yan returns home and Shi Meng is there. He ordered too much food. He doesn't tell her he went to the theatre to find her. She asks him what type of love he prefers. He answers that work is his life, love is a waste of time. Disappointed, she changes the topic to their contract as his live-in-maid. It ends in two days. He thought she was bringing it up to remind him so he curtly acknowledges it. She had wanted to extend it. Now Fang Yan thinks he really couldn't possibly like her. 

[Ep11] Fang Yan has made a decision. Although there's only two days left, she decides to let it all go – in a positive way. The next morning, Shi Meng is making Hao Ying Jun look for an appropriate condo for Fang Yan to rent. They're all either too flamboyant or dangerous. Nothing is better than his home for her. At night when he returns, Fang Yan wants to settle their debt. After some odd calculations, it's Shi Meng who's in the red. He's taken back that he has to pay up when she's living in her home. However, he listens and pays up. But she doesn't want money. Since money is time, she wants him to pay up with his time. She wants his next 24 hours. The train of logic.... is followable, I guess. 

The alarm rings to wake up Shi Meng. Since his alarm sound is over 50dB, his decibel meter will make a sound. The sound is Fang Yan's voice on repetition: "Shi Meng, Shi Meng, I'm wrong. Penalize me less, please!" Fang Yan calls him to wake him up for their date. The girl is serious about this date. She rented a car and opens the passenger door for him. She snaps on her seatbelt and takes the wheel. Before they embark, she reminds herself that the right pedal is the brake and the left is the accelerator. Oh wait. It's the other way around. LMAO. Shi Meng's eyes have never bulged more. She tells him to believe in her. Hahaha. 

Shi Meng is dizzy when they arrive at the destination. At least he's alive. Fang Yan took him to rollerskating. She tells him her parents never allowed her to skate because it was dangerous and they didn't want her disorder to act up. Thus for three years, every time she passed by this roller-skating park, she yearned to join in but she couldn't. Now she wants to with him. Shi Meng gladly entertains. Fang Yan is struggling to get her skates on. He gets down on his knee to help her put on her skates. When this man gets on his knee, my heart tickles. He has this charisma about him. 

She can't even stand without falling on him. He likes the skinship though. He's also very patient teaching her. They naturally hold hands but he tries to let her go to train her independence. Shi Meng assures her he'll be right in front of her. Within a second, she falls backward. Shi Meng pulls her towards him and catches her in his arm not without a mandatory drama-esque twirl. Other girls start bumping into Shi Meng to ask him to teach her. He replies he has a very stupid student he still needs to teach. Shi Meng straps a (kid's) helmet on Fang Yan. She starts to mutter something and is surprised he heard her. He tells her it's because her helmet echoes. Fan Yang knocks on her helmet to test the echoes. There aren't any. Shi Meng was teasing her. 

Roller-skating lessons continue. He tries to make her skate on her own but she can't move without him leading her. These two are having a whole lot of fun and a whole lot of skinship. In Fang Yan's voice-over she thanks Shi Meng for making her first love beautiful. 

It's night time and there's a bonfire. She gives him beer but he says he has to drive. Thus, she takes out the pig trotter soup she prepared. He wasn't lying when he said he liked it before. He even goes to this restaurant to drink this soup when he's unhappy. Fang Yan not only learned from the restaurant owner on how to prepare this soup but she also used her voice to mimic the owner's voice for him to listen to. Shi Meng is touched. 

Shi Meng asks Fang Yan what her mother did to make her live with him. Fang Yan lies that auntie gave her a mission and if she completed it, she was going to get a huge reward. He asks her if she completed the mission. She doesn't answer. 

Fang Yan takes the beer. One gulp. Looks over. Not ready. Second gulp. Deep breath. Ready. Kiss. She kisses his cheek with all her courage. She lies that the kiss was a mission from his mother to validate his sexual orientation. Shi Meng smiles that she can't use this trick on someone else. Fang Yan looks hopefully at him. He explains that her trick doesn't work. 

This date that Fang Yan took him on was to invite him to her world. 

Second couple: Zuo Yao's son (Zuo You) feels conscious that he has no father to go with for their camping trip. That's when Hao Ying Jun shows up. By the way, Zuo You's name literally means "Left Right" and Hao Ying Jun's name sounds like "So Handome". Zuo Yao isn't happy to see him at all. She reminds him they've already done the paternity test and he's not her son's father. However, he still loves her and can't give up on her. 

[Ep12] The next course on Fang Yan and Shi Meng's date is to gaze at the starry night but there are no stars that night. She tells him the first snow of the year was when her father confessed to her mother. Thus every year when it's the first snow her parents would go on a date without her. Fang Yan casually mentions they should take Goose out when it snows. Shi Meng casually agrees. Fang Yan is a little surprised but tells him to forget it (she doesn't believe he's serious). She changes the topic to tell him about the Lake God. If they wish upon it and the god hears them, their wish will come true. She loudly makes hers. She wishes that there will be stars and it will snow at the same time. I don't know about you people, but I live in a place where it can simultaneously snow and be starry. Shi Meng smiles widely at her silliness but when she turns around, he quickly hides his smile from her. She manages to convince him to make his wish too, which was for the movie's success. 

The day is almost over. Fang Yan counts down the last five seconds. OMG. She created a birthday event for him! Today is his birthday. The entire place lights up with beautiful fireworks. GIRL. I'M SO PROUD. I'm excited for this because I think this is one of the first time a girl has been this romantic and this forward to the guy first. Also, I genuinely find this romantic. He's so touched he wants to cry. That's what I'm thinking anyways.  

After the romantic birthday event, Fang Yan thanks Shi Meng but she's going to leave now. Her manager had already helped her move her stuff. The moment she turns away from him, she starts crying. Shi Meng watches her leave. Do something! Shi Meng continues to watch her leave.

That night, Fang Yan cries in Zuo Yao's arms that she really misses Shi Meng already. It's the same on Shi Meng's end. When he's home, every corner reminds her of him. On the chalkboard where there house rules were, Fang Yan left him a sketch with these words: "From now on, let her be with you." The picture are two geese; the tall one is him, and the short one is her. The next morning, his alarm rings and that activates his decibel meter. Fang Yan's voice echoes through his condo. He opens the fridge for breakfast but there are heart notes on all the food she prepared for him. He brushes his teeth and all his memories of her in here crosses his mind (they had quite a lot of scenes in the washroom). He changes his clothes and the rash powder in his closet reminds him of her once more. Shi Meng packs up everything that reminds him of her intending to throw them all away but he doesn't have the heart too. He takes everything to his locked room where all his other precious belongings are. 

At work, Shi Meng is still reminded of Fang Yan. He has this app on his computer (I don't know whether he installed it or she installed it) but it's a Goose icon that talks to him and it's Fang Yan's voice. The Goose reminds him to take a break from his busy schedule. When the Goose lags, Shi Meng quickly pages IT to fix it. He spends the whole day listening to her voice. Just visit the real person. His mood takes another downturn when Shi Yi openly likes Fang Yan's voice dubbing account (Yin Jiang which means "Sound Sauce").

[Ep13] Shi Yi is purposely stirring up rumours with Fang Yan to make her closer to him. However, this fires up Shi Meng's love for Fang Yan. He wants to confess.That night, it starts snowing. Shi Meng starts texting her that it's snowing but he stops midway. Fang Yan starts texting him but she stops too. Shi Meng can't send a text because he's running through all sorts of lines in his mind to ask her out but none of them pass the final draft.  

Shi Yi brings Fang Yan to a press conference. Shi Meng angrily takes her out. He makes her sit outside and orders her that unless there's a fire or earthquake, she cannot leave this spot. She's about to get up but sits back down as his echo in her head. Shi Meng went back to confront Shi Yi that if he brings Fang Yan into the public with him, it will negatively affect Fang Yan's career.

Hao Ying Jun forces Shi Meng to take action. Thus Shi Meng courageously speaks to Fang Yan. About random stuff. Like food. Like Goose. Fang Yan is fed up and demands what he wants from her. Shi Meng finally tells her he's missing a maid in his life. Pft. Fang Yan is even more upset

Hao Ying Jun rubs it in that that was the best confession he's ever heard of. Shi Meng is now determined to confess for real. On Shi Meng's side, the PD tells him Shi Meng might actually like her to say something so stupid like that. It's just he doesn't know how to express it. 

That night the PD friend calls Shi Meng out to look for Goose. Lo and behold who else is looking for Goose. It's Shi Meng. 

[Ep14] Shi Meng points to the sky. There are stars in the sky. He reminds her that her wish on the Lake God must have worked to bring them the stars. But snow is missing. So he shouts to Lake God for it to snow. It snows. It's a romantic event he prepared just for her. 

Shi Meng: Fang Yan, do you know? Before I knew you, my life only had work but your arrival messed up my life's tempo. I wanted to kick you out. However, when you really moved out I realized the days with you were fun and warm. I'm sorry. Forgive me for my lateness. Can you give me another chance to watch the stars and snow with you? – he takes her hand – I like you. 

The next scene is the next morning. Shi Meng has never been so angry at his employees. There's a flashback. Fang Yan rejected him: "I cannot love you." WHY. 

Fang Yan can't accept him because of her disorder. Zuo Yao words ring in her head that no man can accept his woman relying on another man. Fang Yan visits her psychologist and asks for a faster way to cure her disorder. She undergoes a hypnosis and there's a boy running towards her. His face is unclear. The psychologist tells her to get up and walk to Shi Yi. In her hypnotic state, she walks forward but she passes right by Shi Yi. The person she trusts isn't him. 

Seeing how depressed Fang Yan is, Shi Yi takes her out. He brings her to an orphanage where he tells her that he is an orphan. He never knew he was until he was ten years old. Shi Yi was also planning on confessing but Hao Ying Jun calls Fang Yan to tell her Shi Meng is in a car accident. 

[Ep15*] Shi Meng is fine but everyone thought he was in a critical condition. Fang Yan tearfully confesses to someone else's dead body hoping it's not too late. She always loved him. She didn't mean to make him upset. The confession isn't too late. Shi Meng is right behind her. He grabs her in for a kiss, a long and deep kiss. Shi Yi sees this and he's very depressed. I feel bad for him but I'm happier for Shi Meng. 

Shi Meng drives Fang Yan. His hand is fine driving. He smiles the entire time. Fang Yan feels peeved that she was fooled again. She's a tad upset but when he mentions his hand hurts, she quickly worries about him again. He's brimming with joy. He takes her hand and tells her holding her hand is his cure. She asks him where they're headed to. "Home," he replies. :D

When they're home, he still hasn't let go of her hand. He doesn't want her to escape. The only problem is how are they going to eat. Easy. She just needs to feed him. Smiling, she takes the spoon, blows on it, but feeds herself. The next spoonful, Shi Meng intercepts and takes her hand to feed him. She sighs that she really won't run away and pleads him to let go but Shi Meng won't. Sighing again, she feeds him but this time he won't let go of the spoon in his mouth either. Even washing dishes, Shi Ment won't let go of her hand.

Even showering he won't let go. How'd he take off his clothes? She has to dry his hair when he's like a baby hugging onto her waist. It's bedtime and he's still holding onto her hand. They're innocently sleeping together by the way. He reaches over her and that makes her nervous but he's just turning off the lights. He tells her that he can't sleep with the lights off. But he just turned it off. He was abducted when he was eight. It was dark there and from then on he wasn't able to sleep in the dark. She snuggles into his chest to assure him that from now on he has her. He recounts that there was a five year old girl who was abducted with him. She was cute. Fang Yan jealously replies, "I was cute when I was five too, suuuuper cute. If you saw me you'd find me cute too." She's jealous of a five year old kid in his memory that's probably, I mean, definitely her. She rambles on about her cuteness but Shi Meng is already fast asleep. 

Rise and shine, Shi Meng is already preparing breakfast for her. He asks her why she's up so early. She says she wants to see him earlier. He smiles and kisses her like it's the most natural thing in the morning. It's a sweet morning until his food darkens the atmosphere. His egg is terribly burnt. 

Today is their first date. Fang Yan takes Shi Meng to a market. They're going to make dumplings. Fang Yan copies another couple buying "Niu Bao" It literally means the most precious part of a cow. It is exactly what you are thinking. The butcher (a man) gives Shi Meng an air-props. As they're making dumplings, or more like as he's making dumplings, she asks him when he started liking her. She guesses that it must be the night she gave him an umbrella. She must have been gorgeous in his eyes. He agrees; she was sooo beautiful that night, it was almost hard to discover how beautiful she was. Snicker.

He asks her when she started loving him too. She doesn't know. She tells him it was gradual. He thinks she fell in love with him at first sight. She doesn't deny it completely but tells him she does know that her meeting him was destiny in the works. *I finished the drama by the time I wrote this and I just want to say she really doesn't know when she loved him because her love started way back. 

Shi Meng changes Fang Yan's phone screensaver to a picture of his. She then asks what's his. He doesn't let her see. Fang Yan reaches over to grab his phone and her face is inches for his. He goes in for a kiss and snaps a selfie. That will be his background picture. I cannot keep up with the number of kisses this episode. 

As it approaches noon, it's Shi Meng who's in charge of the date course. They frolic in the nature for most of the day. At night, he takes her paddling. He tells her to close her eyes. The next moment she opens them, the lake has lights everywhere. 

Shi Meng: From now on I'll watch stars with you and you'll watch the galaxy with me. Galaxy is 星河. Individually, the characters mean "Star" and "River".  Hence why they're in a river and the lights in the water are like stars thus creating the imagery that they're paddling in the galaxy. 

Fang Yan nods. She suggests to watch shooting stars with him the next time. Shi Meng asks her why next time when she can see them now. He takes the lights (they're floating balls that float...???) and throws it across. He's making shooting stars for her and tells her to quickly make a wish. She clamps her hands together and closes her eyes. He asks her what she wished for. "Nothing," she replies, "Because everything I want, I already have." Shi Meng is everything she wants. 

[Ep16] Fang Yan tells Zuo Yao she's dating Shi Meng. Zuo Yao isn't happy for Fang Yan at all. Zuo Yao doesn't believe in love after Hao Ying Jun cheated on her back in university (that's why she cannot forgive him). She's also disapproving because of her disorder. 

Fang Yan invites Shi Meng to a bar. She plans to tell Shi Meng about her disorder. However, before she can, her disorder suddenly acts up when nothing had frightened her. Shi Meng carries her in his arm to take her out of the bar but Shi Yi interrupts and says only his embrace can cure her. Except Shi Yi had already figured out he's not her fated one. He saw the security footage that it was Shi Meng who embraced her that fated day. Shi Meng can't stand watching Shi Yi and Fang Yan being close so he steps out. When Fan Yan wakes up, she tells Shi Yi that her trance is weird this time. It's as if someone told her to walk forward.  

Fang Yan's trance was weird. It was all planned by Shi Yi. !! He used the hypnosis trick he picked up from the psychologist to activate her trance. 

Shi Meng goes to her doctor to confirm her diagnosis. Obviously patient confidentiality doesn't exist. First he tells Shi Yi and now Shi Meng. Shi Yi also tells Shi Meng that if Fang Yan continues to date him, she'll never cure her disorder. Therefore, Shi Meng becomes the noble idiot and coldly breaks up with Fang Yan so that she can focus on healing herself. Well now she's got a heartbreak to heal too.

[Ep17] Shi Meng rings Shi Yi's doorbell. Shi Meng is drenched in rain. He tells Shi Yi that he let her go so that Fang Yan can recover. Shi Meng's love for Fang Yan is so much more selfless than Shi Yi's. Shi Meng drinks alone in his room. Every time he puts down his glass, it goes over 50dB and Fang Yan's voice repeats in the background. Shi Meng continues to make a loud noise with his glass to hear her voice on repeat. 

Gu Wei appears. She's Shi Meng's childhood friend or more like a respected senior's daughter. Her appearance makes Fang Yan jealous. Her appearance also annoys Shi Meng when she deletes his Goose app on his desktop. Gu Wei is thus aware of Fang Yan being her love obstacle. She teams up with the jealous senior to scare Fang Yan. In her trance, it's Shi Meng who finds her first. He hands her over to Shi Yi to cure her. Shi Yi doesn't know what to do. Shi Meng urges him to do whatever he needs whether it's to kiss or hug her. What is it like for a man to hand over a woman he loves to another man so that he can do whatever he wants with her? The jealous senior snaps a picture of the almost kiss between Shi Yi and Fang Yan. That picture is sent to the tabloids immediately. 

The whole movie production team is having an emergency meeting over their rumours. Half of the staff support pushing the romance to promote the movie and half are against it for Shi Yi's reputation. Shi Meng is against it. However, when they ask Fang Yan on her opinion, she agrees. She thinks it'll help Shi Meng's movie sales and she will do what benefits Shi Meng. Shi Meng doesn't know her though process. He's just extremely unhappy about her choosing Shi Yi.

 

[Ep18] Shi Yi convinces Fang Yan to live with him instead of with Zuo Yao so that his crazy fans won't bother the girls. Logic? Living with him will make fans less livid? Fang Yan chooses a random room in Shi Yi's home but it happens to be Shi Meng's old room when he lived in that home. In there she finds a sketch book where Shi Meng details the event of his kidnap. Shi Meng had told the five year old girl that he is "Shi Meng Jun" (Lord of Eating Dreams) to comfort her. That name triggers a faint memory that Fang Yan has difficulty remembering. 

Shi Meng knows Fang Yan is living Shi Yi so he stakes out in front of his home all night. He ends up sleeping in his car the whole night. When Fang Yan accidentally shatters glass in the home, Shi Meng hears her screaming. In his car. That's across the street from this home. The soundproof-ness of this home... Shi Meng rushes in to check on her. He pretends to be aloof but can't keep up the act when she cuts herself with glass. I thought her hand was going to be wrapped up again like pig-fingers. 

When Shi Meng sees the breakfast table full of food Shi Yi prepared for her, he gobbles it all down before Fang Yan has a chance to taste it. The doorbell rings and it's a package for her. Fang Yan opens the box slightly. Shi Meng sees blood on the box and quickly covers Fang Yan's eyes. He warns her to not open the door for strangers anymore. She doesn't see the package's content at all. By the way it's a bloody (fake) hand. Shi Yi's crazy fans are targeting her. Additionally, Shi Yi has no intentions of backing down on the rumours. He wants to make his fans accept her as his girlfriend. 

Xiao K, Shi Yi's manager, is the crazy fan. No wonder there were so many random scenes of her. Shi Meng is onto this manager of Shi Yi's. However, Xiao K already has Fang Yan tied up. Fortunately, Shi Meng makes it in time before Xiao K kills Fang Yan. Xiao K then pours oil everywhere. She plans to take them all down with her. Shi Meng tries to explain to Xiao K that the person Fang Yan loves is him (Shi Meng). Xiao K doesn't believe it. Fang Yan cries that it's true. While Fang Yan and Shi Meng are staring at each other lovingly, Xiao K flicks the lighter. 

[Ep19] Xiao K wants Fang Yan to prove that she loves Shi Meng. So she proves it with a kiss. Okay. Alright. These two make out amidst the danger. It's just enough time for the police officers to arrive and arrest Xiao K. After they're safe, Fang Yan hugs Shi Meng tightly just like how he had held onto her hand tightly when she confessed to him. He tells her to let go. Fang Yan ignores him as she cutely hangs onto him. He calls her annoying. She agrees. She's going to be annoying either way so she might as well be annoying and be with him. Still hugging onto him, Fang Yan tells him he can't leave her anymore. Shi Meng lovingly stares at her and gives her a kiss. 

These two just made up and are already having a lover's quarrel. Shi Meng just found out Fang Yan blocked her on WeChat. He's pouting. She racks her brain for a solution: she reverse blames him for his lateness because that means he hasn't checked on her updates at all. It's Shi Meng who's pleading her to forgive him now. Fang Yan breathes a sigh of relief she passed that obstacle, lol.

Shi Meng asks Shi Yi to continue helping Fang Yan recover from her disorder. He's willing to trade in everything except breaking up with Fang Yan. Thus, Shi Yi requests Shi Meng to not have any physical skinship with Fang Yan for a month. Shi Yi wants to pursue her and if in a month he hasn't won her over, he'll admit defeat. He also wants to move in to their house to maximize his chances. 

And thus begins the no skinship dating between Shi Meng and an unknowing Fang Yan. It was so funny when Fang Yan wants a kiss but Shi Meng is having such a difficult time rejecting her. Shi Yi seems like he was laughing at this..? I like this dynamic between the three of them more than I thought I would. 

Fang Yan and Hao Ying Jun form an alliance. She's trying to learn from him on how to seduce Shi Meng because he's not touching her at all. Hao Ying Jun wants her help to pursue Zuo Yao. However, Fang Yan being sexy gives Shi Meng the chills. For one of her cosplay (Lara Croft), she shoots him with a gun. Shi Meng thinks he's supposed to play along and so he pretends to be shot. LOL. Anyways, it's just a huge miss. 

The three of them watch a movie together. Fang Yan chooses a horror movie because she's not afraid with the both of them there. When a scary scene appears, both men cover her eyes. She assures them she's not that wimpy. Next second, she screams and squirms into Shi Meng's arms. Shi Yi glares at him. Shi Meng has his arms up proving he had nothing to do with this skinship. Next time around, both men change spots just so Shi Yi has a chance for her to prance on him but no matter what position they're in, Fang Yan always jumps into Shi Meng's embrace. Shi Meng's smugness here, lol

Fang Yan requests Shi Yi to scare her. She wants to treat her disorder aggressively. She was afraid of this method but now she's willing to do it for Shi Meng. However, nothing Shi Yi does scare her. Until they almost get into a real car accident. Fang Yan enters a trance. 

[Ep20] Shi Yi carries an absent Fang Yan to Shi Meng. Shi Yi tells Shi Meng the truth. The one who was waking her up from all her other trances was Shi Meng. Shi Meng is unbelievably happy. 

Zuo Yao learns that Hao Ying Jun never cheated on her with Gu Wei. Zuo Yao also never dated anyone since then. The questions is then who's Zuo You's father then. The answer is he's an orphan. When she was at her lowest point in life, she met Zuo You in the hospital and that's how she came to adopt him. 

Zuo You runs away from home after learning he's an orphan. Shi Yi is able to relate to him, Everyone's looking for him. Shi Yi's in charge of waiting at home in case Zuo You returns. Turns out Zuo You was under the bed all along. 

Shi Meng newly learns Shi Yi was adopted. Shi Yi also reveals to Fang Yan he lied about being his fated person. Then he confesses his love to her. Fang Yan is flustered but she obviously doesn't like him. Plus, she has another mission: to mend the brother's relationship. The daunting task is assigned to Zuo You. He gives an outrageous task to Shi Yi and Shi Meng. In a few days time is Fang Yan's birthday and Zuo You has her birthday present. It's Goose's egg but Goose refuses to incubate it. Therefore, Zuo You entrusts the egg to Shi Yi and Shi Meng. The two brothers will have to keep this egg warm at all times for the next three days. The two grown men are seriously staring at this egg, accepting the task. Fang Yan is eavesdropping in the living room, laughing at her brilliant idea. Two men trying to give birth to a goose. 

[Ep21] For the entire day, Shi Yi and Shi Meng are exchanging the egg, taking turns to keep it warm. When there seems to be no vitality in the egg, the brothers start blaming each other. Fang Yan's plan is backfiring. 

Shi Yi tells Fang Yan the truth about his past with Shi Meng. It was Shi Yi who abandoned him on his eighth birthday. Shi Yi regretted immediately but it was too late, Shi Meng was already kidnapped.

Fang Yan tries to play cupid between the brothers. She brings Shi Meng to the place Shi Yi had abandoned him. She also uses her third favour from Shi Yi to invite him to the same place. However, before she can mend the brothers' relationship, she remembers she was kidnapped too. She was the girl who was (accidentally) kidnapped with Shi Meng by his father's enemy. The two of them managed to run away but she tripped and fell. Shi Meng went back for her and comforted her. That's when he called himself Shi Meng Jun (Chinese title). He assured her he'll be back after he calls the police. When he was back, Fang Yan was gone. That part of her memory is still locked though. 

Shi Meng and Fang Yan are back in her music store. She's counting the ten passerby again to look for her couple. Fang Yan blocks his eye. He smiles. He grabs her in for a selfi selfie. They're the couple. It was all fated. 

[Ep22] Fang Yan starts remembering bits and pieces of what made her terrified during the kidnapping. She overheard a man asking for his son. The kidnapper's name is "Xiao Liu". Reminded of something, Shi Meng quickly runs, telling Fang Yan he has an important business to attend to. 

The next day, it's the first director's meeting for Shi Meng's company since his father was the director. Shi Meng is expecting to be the CEO. Fang Yan jumps at the chance to fix his necktie. They're cute. Unfortunately, the directors have chosen Gu Yuan Zhou. It's all thanks to Shi Yi teaming up with Gu Yuan Zhou. Shi Yi's condition on voting for Gu Yuan Zhou was to kick out Shi Meng. 

A lie.

Fang Yan looks everywhere for Shi Meng but he's vanished. Shi Yi has a way to make Shi Meng appear in an instant: he announces to the world he's marrying Fang Yan. Lol, that will get Shi Meng out from his hiding for sure. A week later, the engagement ceremony is taking place. Shi Meng shows up secretly among the guest with a cap on. As Fang Yan is walking towards Shi Yi, in her mind she was imagining Shi Meng all along. I'm sad the wedding scene in the opening theme song was fake. 

[Ep23] Hao Ying Jun interrupts the ceremony with a proposal of his own to Zuo Yao. It's all to buy time. However, Gu Yuan Zhou gives a signal to the emcee to continue the wedding. It's Fang Yan who halts the ceremony. She's in a trance. She's about to fall off the stage. Shi Meng reveals his presence and catches her in his arms. He takes her out of the ceremony. The wedding act is over. 

Fang Yan was faking the trance. She assures Shi Meng she'll be with him during his hardest times (she's referring to his financial problems). Shi Meng doesn't need her to. She insists. She's the type to love sincerely. The way she said it was funny. It was silly-sweet? Thus, she takes him grocery shopping for their dinner; they cannot afford hotpot. The entire grocery shopping experience was funny. Fang Yan dramatically screamed when goose meat was for sale, "No. My Goose. Nooo!". Then when she sees the market lady fancy Shi Meng's smile, she urges Shi Meng to smile more to get a few more veggies for free. The whole market and dinner scene was so cute. 

Shi Meng and Shi Yi are working together to find proof of Gu Yuan Zhou's crimes. Shi Yi never betrayed Shi Meng. He's trying to gain Gu Yuan Zhou's trust. The brothers fool Gu Yuan Zhou into confessing his crimes but he has one more trick up his sleeve: Fang Yan. He sent a bouquet to Fang Yan to make her think it's Shi Meng inviting her to a "special place". 

[Ep24] Shi Meng finds Fang Yan at the place where she celebrated his birthday. She is in a trance because Gu Yuan Zhou purposely left her a scary present. In her trance, she falls into the water. Her mind is full of the boy who saved her back then. Shi Meng is also saving her in the present time. Her image of the boy and Shi Meng merge together. Fang Yan remembers everything. Her disorder is cured. She also remembers the place Shi Meng's father was buried. Shi Meng can finally put a closure to his father's death. 

The group celebrate Shi Meng's promotion. He's the CEO. However, the real purpose of this gathering was for Hao Ying Jun's surprise proposal to Zuo Yao. She happily accepts. 

Fang Yan is dropping a ton of obvious hints to Shi Meng for him to propose to her. He casually, and naturally dodges them all with innocence. Everyone knows she wants to marry him. Even Mom. Even Shi Yi. Shi Yi video calls her to gift a live performance for the most beautiful couple. But Shi Meng isn't with her. It's Valentine's day and she's celebrating it alone. It's also the first snow of the year. Shi Meng isn't here because he's on a business trip. 

Shi Meng messages her that he has a present for her. But he'll only give it if the tenth passerby is a couple. Fang Yan is about to explode. So many conditions for a measly present when he's not even here. His next message is a picture. It's a picture of the starry night where he is. Since it's snowing at her place and it's starry at his, he asks her to marry him. The logic? The where? Fang Yan is even angrier, "You finally said it!" But her reply is a rejection, "Even if all the men in this world die, I won't marry you!" She's angry he's making her celebrate Valentine's day alone, making her wait this long for his proposal, and especially for making his proposal so half-hearted. 

Shi Meng calls her and tells her the present is at the rooftop. When she looks up at the stairs, Shi Meng is there. I'd be happy with him as a present anywhere and anytime. Fang Yan brightens up. He tells her to come up. She argues for him to come down. He insists if she wants the present, she'll have to go up. She humphs, "Do I look like the type of person who will go up just for a present?" She's not even done that sentence and she's already happily running up to him. She throws him a big hug. Immediately, she asks for the present. He tells her to close her eyes. He has decorated her entire rooftop. It's an official proposal. He was waiting for the first snow all along. So romantic ~

Shi Meng's proposal: I didn't believe in fate just like how I don't believe that it can snow and be starry at the same time but that was until I met you. Every moment I am with you I believe it is all fated to be. We will grow old together, everything beside us will change too – grabs ring from the lights in the background – but I want to be like the stars and be with you forever, to never change - kneel - Fang Yan, will you marry me? When he grabbed the ring from the lights, it was like he plucked at star for her. He created a starry night for the first snow of the year to make her wish come true. 

Fang Yan tears up. She gives her hand to him. He slips the ring on... 

The end!!

Extra scene. Fang Yan is happily waiting for Shi Meng to watch a movie. However, he brings along Shi Yi along. Shi Meng doesn't understand Fang Yan's disappointment at all. Neither does Shi Yi. During the movie, Fang Yan sits down right next to Shi Meng in her rightful spot and rightfully hugging onto his arm but Shi Meng suggests to let Shi Yi sit in the middle because he's a celebrity. Fang Yan grudgingly accepts. LOL. It's as if Fang Yan is the thirdwheeler. 

At home, Shi Meng and Shi Yi are playing a video game. Fang Yan tries to squeeze her way between them but Shi Meng doesn't see her at all. So Shi Meng and Shi Yi were the OTP all along. 

Remarks

[First Impression (Ep1-6)] I love these types of romcoms. Dreamy. Cute. Comedic. A good looking guy and a cute girl. Check, check, check and check. The main lead has a resting I’m-so-cool face. Effortlessly slick. The way the drama is edited is enticing for a romcom. The atmosphere in the first few episodes were enchanting. The next few episodes were in comedy land. The FL is misunderstood to be a moronic fan and becomes a live-in maid for the ML. Just to clarify, she’s not the dumb type. I love how the drama incorporates her voice-dubbing career in her everyday life. There will be tropes; there will be logical holes; there will be repetition; regardless, I think I’ll really like this one. Really like. 

The Title. The direct translation of the Chinese title is "Let's Love, Shi Meng Lord." Lord can be interchanged with 'Gentleman' or just a man of dignity. However, the Chinese characters for Shi Meng in the title isn't the characters for the ML's name. It is phonetically the same but Shi Meng in the title means to "Eat Dreams". Therefore, the title can be translated as "Let's Love, The Lord of Eating Dreams!" 'Eating Dreams' is a fitting name for Shi Meng because he's not one to believe in things like fate or destiny (anything dreamy). 

[Actors/Actresses] Ma Meng Wei is cute. I like her. She’s quietly infiltrating into my 2020 dramas. She didn’t make a lot of noise for her projects but I’ve been loving all her roles. Ao Rui Peng is new to me. I absolutely adore having fresh new men to stare at.

[Behind the Scenes] Ao Rui Peng (Shi Meng) is such a bully. He's always looking for the camera whenever Ma Meng Wei (Fang Yan) hits hits him but over half the time he's the one inciting her. 

• Shi Meng being a bully & Fang Yan gets her revenge: Ao Rui Peng hits her 35 times (she was counting, lol) and so Ma Meng Wei returns with 35 hits plus a head lock. But he runs away. Thus, they race each other. A staff backs up Ma Meng Way by telling Ao Rui Peng that if he wins, he's not a man. What does he do? He races her for real (she also tried to cheat and pull him. To win the race, the first person back to the starting line wins. Ma Meng Wei smartly runs back to the line without running the lap. The entire staff supports her win. 
• Ep22  - Shi Yi and Shi Meng prove that they’re the true OTP: By the way there’s an extra scene of Fang Yan kissing Shi Meng's cheek when he carried her out that wasn’t in the drama. 

[Ending] A happy one. Beautiful and romantic. Starry and Snowy. 

Final Review

[Review] There are just those types of romcoms that play the right tune to your heart. Poisoned Love is that tune to my heart. Objectively, I know this isn’t that special. The story is easily predictable but this deserves my love because of how well it did what it was supposed to do. Its execution is alluring; its pacing is consistent; its conflicts made sense. The actors were so easy to love. Each secondary character also had their unique personality that made sense. It just makes me so happy a romcom like this started off enchanting and ended off just as enchanting.

Oddly, for this CP, I think I like them more individually than they are together. That’s because I really like them individually. It’s what they do for each other that I find romantic. When they’re together, they’re more hilarious. Very fitting for a rom-com. Plus there’s a followable story that’s not overly dark or dull. 

Ma Meng Wei has carved a signature character that’s truly unique to her. Her cuteness is quirky and hilarious. I love it when she cries for her goose at the market. By the way, Goose is the scene-stealer. Her character, Fang Yan, is forward with her love. Her romantic event for Shi Meng (ML) in Ep11&12 surprised and moved me. I’m a girl and I envy the man she loves; he’ll be a lucky one.

Ao Rui Peng is a freshie but so natural. I don’t know about others but this guy’s entire package is my personal taste. Ha. At least him as Shi Meng. Anyways. Back to drama. I really like his Shi Meng for not being the typical cold guy. He has a specific reason for not liking Fang Yan. He thought she was an idiotic fan of his brother. He might have liked her since Ep1 when they had that random but beautiful encounter under the umbrella. Or maybe he liked her from way before. The way Shi Meng proposed to her was truly romantic. The drama stayed grounded to its starry and snowy theme. 

[Verdict] Dreamy beginning; Cute middle; Romantic ending. It’s a basic story told well.
