This a stable rom-com. With Cdramaland saturated with so many of these it's really hard for each of them to stand out. What makes this drama a little different is the male character here seems to have a bit of Asperger Syndrome. That's just my personal take on his character. The relationship they develop then becomes her taking lead most of the time and it sort of rubs off on him but he still sticks to his principles. The drama hit its peak for me at around Episode 13 when he took the lead. The moment he confirmed her feelings, he knew exactly what he wanted. The sweet moments that followed were like a ray of sunshine. It wasn't just sugary sweet; it was warm ("nuan") and bright. It was natural and a lot of it was thanks to Li Kai Xin (Eleanor Lee). It might not top my list of rom-coms I love but this was a good one. It's definitely in the top for the amount of kisses in a single drama if I had bothered counted.

Actors/Actresses: This is my first Li Kai Xin drama and she's such a bubbly naturally cute girl and it immediately translates on screen. Her reactions are so raw and she has a good sense of humour. She's still new to me so I find her fresh. I saw Liang Jing Kang in the Meteor Garden (2018). From my hazy memory of it, there's a huge contrast between his two characters which makes me appreciate his acting here. His face is just a little too bloaty xD. As for Pei Zi Tian, I really did like him but the roles he's given are – sigh.

Seriously, Han Che made Lin Jia Yi a star and not Liu Nuan Nuan because of a hairpin, which he didn't even get right to begin with. Plus his sister gets sidelined as well. (I know there's a good reason for that but... how much of a genius is he if he doesn't actually do full research first?) LOL, when he describes Nuan Nuan as a wild cat! And when he childishly raises his hand interlinked with Liu Nuan Nuan's to Fang Han Chen's face when they're finally officially together. A drunk Han Che is a heavy burden for anyone. Aww, when he sits in her suitcase - so cute & sad! LOL, when he shoves a piece of fruit into her mouth so she can't talk to Fang Han Chen, and later, he actually turns her face away and covers her eyes so she can't look at him in conversation either. He actually chose to break up with her (after all that groveling to her back) instead of letting her go with him for his surgery?! *headbang* Whyyyyy?! No, he didn't wear a hat forever post-op. Ha. I'm glad he got his photographic memory back!

Liu Nuan Nuan messing with Han Che and his OCD organization system is so bad (he can't help it) but it's so funny. (Although, if he actually has OCD, how's he able to overcome it when she's triggering him all the time??) I love how much yellow clothing she wears, and yellow accent pieces - it suits her optimistic personality. I really like her - funny, smart, thinks outside the box, and knows how to handle her "landlord". She looks so stone-faced during her blind date, until Han Che shows up. That blind date was so dramatic. Why are there 15 people invading their table?! Gah. Why are her parents so against Han Che after they find out he's had brain surgery, and it makes no sense why she would leave him during this anyway. (Wait, what? She's the lead in Fake Princess?! I seriously didn't realize it was the same actress...)

They're so cute together. I noticed how they looked similar, too. (Face shape, eye shape and the big lips. Ha, I didn't see it in your recap/review until I finished watching. You're right about Gu Lin, too!). E17...crap. It was so sweet and then crash (she finds out that he's King). Lin Jia Yi is so selfish. I can't stand her. E20. Aww, when Han Che takes care of her at the hospital - definitely been more than one step ahead of Fang Han Chen. (As Lin Jia Yi forced him to stay at the shoot instead of running to the hospital. Then again, if Fang Han Chen really cared about her, he'd have been there for her no matter what.)

While it's obvious that Fang Han Chen likes her, he also doesn't tell her anything and just does things for her. Then he has to put his career first and still doesn't tell her how he feels. But he suddenly tells her by asking her to be with him, with a ring - a proposal? *scratches head* I feel a tiny bit bad when she rejects him but he just waited too long to even say anything to her. Did he even consider her feelings? E18. How dare he lie to Han Che about her. Dirty! Wow, he pulls her for a bidong after she's back with Han Che?! (Too late, guy, and you chose career first.) The kindest thing Lin Jia Yi ever does is to help him try to get over Liu Nuan Nuan. (At least at first, Pei Zi Tian is more likeable here than any other series I've seen him in.) I did appreciate the fact that they're showing us what an idol has to go through - everything is fan-based.

Han Xue is pretty, smart and immature. She's hot and cold and then hot, which puts poor Gu Li on a rollercoaster. (Why is her bedroom filled with balloons? lol) Age doesn't always lead to maturity. Gu Li seemed more mature about everything - her, work, and their baby (when they thought she was pregnant).

Gu Li is adorable!! And he does check with a very drunk Han Xue for her consent before they sleep together but she pushes him away completely after that. He's the sweetest. And I love how his colleagues try to help them get back together. Haha Except he goes too far with letting his female colleague/friend help by pretending to be in a relationship with him. (Why's he always dressed nicely... except it's shorts? It's like the top half is grown-up and the bottom isn't. Intentional?)

I wouldn't have known anything about this series existing until I saw the recap. Needed this bright and sweet melodrama. The story is okay. But their changing relationship is what makes the show enjoyable.
