[Ep1] Han Che (English name: King) returns to Beijing to repay a favour to Lin Jia Yi. He expertly designed her stage to create the perfect performance to boost her to stardom. Lin Jia Yi, Han Xue, and Liu Nuan Nuan were a group of three idols in a survival show (think of Produce 101). To make Lin Jia Yi successful, the producers have sacrificed Han Xue and Nuan Nuan. However, the latter two didn't know and put their very best effort in their performance. Nuan Nuan even had to fix their outfit last minute which caused a little rifle with Han Che. He caught her stealing backstage equipment and so she locks him up temporarily to complete her stage outfit. Locked in the room, he vows that he will find her despite not having seen her face. He remembers the way she runs and most importantly, her voice. Nuan Nuan dismisses it as nonsense but she does give the key to a security to unlock the door. Regardless of Nuan Nuan's effort and passion, her (and Han Xue's) last hope of becoming an idol is shattered. Fan Han Chen, the host, goes off script to purposely give Nuan Nuan a chance to give a last speech where she sings a song. Han Che watches from the control room and feels guilty for taking part in their sacrifice. He also gets flashes of memory of someone singing this same song to him.
Han Che is simply put, a genius. At a young age, he already had a remarkable memory. He has visionary capabilities. He is able to create things you can never even imagine. This extraordinary man is also Han Xue's brother. At the idol show, he supported Lin Jia Yi not just to return the favour but also for his sister. He doesn't think the idol path suits Han Xue. However, he promises himself that if there's a chance he will compensate Nuan Nuan for striping her of her dream too. Well, that chance is right about to appear because they find themselves living in the same home, more specifically his home.
[Ep2] Han Xue had allowed Nuan Nuan to live in one of her family's empty house, which is the home Han Che has chose to live in out of the many properties the Han family has. It's his grandmother's home. He recognizes her as Nuan Nuan and forgoes calling the police. However, he is furious when she threw out his stuff. Feeling guilty and out of place, she leaves the house.
Nuan Nuan has hit a low point in life: no career, no home. Lin Jia Yi had wanted to apologize to her but couldn't find Nuan Nuan at home. Instead she meets Han Che who returns her the hair clip she had lost years ago after his grandmother's funeral. The three girls were friends since childhood hence Lin Jia Yi knows Han Che.
Han Xue complains to his brother that Nuan Nuan has no where to go because he kicked her out. Guilty, he finds her and demands her to return home with him. She cries that she has pride too, even though it's just a little. He gives her his umbrella and takes her luggage, leading her to home. However, it's not all happy from there. He's set a contract outlining three major clauses: she can live there, but she has to leave him alone and keep the house as is. It may sound like a simple contact but in detail, it's complicated and convoluted. He's set rules on when and where noise is prohibited. Basically she has to live like air in his presence. Not seen and not heard.
Han Che learns he may have repaid his debt to the wrong person. He only knows the girl he owes owns the hair clip which he thought belonged to Lin Jia Yi. Now he's realized the one who always wore the clip was Nuan Nuan. Additionally, Nuan Nuan might be the medication he needs. His psychologist had told him that her appearance is a good emotional trigger for him. Although he's a genius, his advanced brain has shortcomings too. He gets side effects of vomit, headache and nausea. Hence his approval of her in his home. I'm not too sure if her appearance will make him have less headaches, but it'll definitely stir his heart.
Second couple: There's a thing between Gu Li (Han Che's secretary/partner) and Han Xue. I think every couple here will be a noona romance.
[Ep3] Everyone shows up at Lin Jia Yi's birthday party. Han Xue and Nuan Nuan have one purpose: to make Lin Jia Yi uncomfortable. Han Xue tells her she'll only forgive her if she jumps from the diving platform into the pool. Lin Jia Yi has a fear of height but she still jumps. She drowns and it's Han Che who scoops her up from the water. But the water isn't that deep anyways. Nuan Nuan also went in the water to save her but she stands up from the pool, the water doesn't even hit above her waist.
Fan Han Chen looks from afar and only leaves when he sees Nuan Nuan safe. After Nuan Nuan's elimination from the idol show, he's sacrificed quite a bit to fight for Nuan Nuan's justice but it was all fruitless leaving him short of projects. Meanwhile Han Che has confirmed Nuan Nuan is the one whom he owes. It was her who took care of him when he was sick after his grandmother's funeral and not Lin Jia Yi.

- Han Che accidentally walks in on her in the bathroom while she's dancing and singing in a towel and swinging her bra around. By chance, he sees her bra size on the tag. She cries and tells him to wipe his memory...but the poor guy cannot... Lol
Nuan Nuan is still full of dreams. It's just changed: she wants to be a designer but first she wants to help her store increase sales. She's sketched a new design for her storefront and asks Han Che for his advice. He tells her it's possible but the cost is impossible, at least for her. Angrily, she walks off. She does leave behind oranges that she's peeled for him. He eats them and squints as he smiles. Cute.
Extra scene: Mom prepares breakfast for Han Che and he eats it like a good boy. She complains about her daughter. Han Che's nonchalantly answers, "She's pretty good." Mom snickers.
[Ep5] Han Che has made Nuan Nuan's store design a reality. Customers can virtually try on clothes. She thanks him but he tells her it's because he owes her. She misunderstands he's apologizing for kicking her out of his home the first time. He mistakenly thought she's forgiven him about shattering her idol dreams.
Under Nuan Nuan's observation of him, she reveals he has two modes: one mode is he looks unhappy but's he's feeling okay; second mode is he actually is incredibly unhappy. Therefore he's got a resting moody look all the time. He doesn't see the difference between either modes and she tells him there is. First mode, although his body is tense, he's actually relaxed. Second mode, not a single part of his body is relaxed; his hands will be in a fist, and his lips will be lined tight. When she tells him her observations, he went from tight fist to relaxed fingers. I'd say he likes her observing him. These two are buying hotpot ingredients (something Han Che was extremely against but he's outnumbered and Nuan Nuan loves hotpot). When she's choosing parsley, he quickly hides it behind his back like a kid to prevent her from buying them. He hates parsley. Nuan Nuan stares at him in disbelief. She tells him acting cute isn't a crime but for him it can actually scare people to death. Heh.
Lin Jia Yi and Fan Han Chen are also invited to the hotpot (hosted at Han Che's home). Lin Jia Yi wants to help Han Che carry the groceries, but he doesn't need it. He's just waiting for the perfect opportunity to stuff it in Nuan Nuan's arms. When she can't reach the plates at a high place, Han Che reaches it for her. It's a little romantic and this is noticed by Fan Han Chen. He tries to separate the two but their moments don't stop there. Han Che somehow falls on top of her on his bed. It's too late for them get up when Lin Jia Yi and Han Xue are right at the door so they take cover under his blanket. Lin Jia Yi indirectly tells Han Xue she likes her brother. After the girls leave, Nuan Nuan teases him. He doesn't like it one bit.

[Ep6] Nuan Nuan is on a business trip and leaves Hotpot in Han Che's care. He thought he'd be difficult but he accepts the request without a word of complaint. He even smiles when she leaves his room. Nuan Nuan is back from her trip and FHC picks her up. He indirectly confesses but Nuan Nuan has completely friend-zoned him. Only Han Che notices it when FHC purposely calls Nuan Nuan "his". Grumpy, Han Che leaves them and takes Hotpot with him. However, Han Che ditches FHC immediately to hug her cat.
Next night, Han Xue begs Nuan Nuan to help her choose an outfit for a drama scene tomorrow. She packs her suitcase to spend the night with HX which makes Han Che misunderstand she's moving out. It's cute how he ran towards her. However, when he sees the size of her luggage, he's deduced it's temporary and becomes instantly relieved.

Because of the Fan Han Chen's suit incident, Nuan Nuan is fired. Luckily she's rehired by headquarters (like a promotion). Upon being hired, she cheerfully returns home to update Han Che first but he's not there. Han Che is a at work and had misunderstood once again that she's moving out. He sincerely asks his buddy, "Am I really that hard to get along with?"
[Ep8] Han Che is on a business trip for a few days. By chance, he meets Lin Jia Yi who randomly tells him Nuan Nuan's nickname in the idol group is "Smiling Angel". He smiles and snickers at that. At night, his thoughts about her don't stop. He realizes his recent insomnia isn't because she's too loud, but because she's not making any noise. It's apparent to him he likes her. I guess he's always liked her? When he thought Lin Jia Yi was the hair clip owner, he had no lingering feelings once he repaid his favour. However, when he's realized the clip was worn by Nuan Nuan, it finally feels "right" to him who he owes.
On Nuan Nuan's side of the world: she's been sneezing nonstop. She's not sick. Han Xue informs her someone must be thinking of her. Nuan Nuan heaves a heavy sigh and begs whoever it is to stop thinking about her so much. It's Han Che.
[Ep9] Han Che still can't sleep. He texts Nuan Nuan if she's asleep. She thinks he's hacked but replies anyways indicating she's playing a roller-coaster app. He quickly downloads the app to play with her. He's back on his business trip and treats his team to a karaoke night. He finds Nuan Nuan bullied by a formidable business partner and heroically saves her. He's angry she's placed herself in a dangerous situation and she cries that she was afraid too. His anger melts. He pats her hair and hugs her. He also squeezes her nose to her dismay but it stops her hiccups. She mulls that he's always doing things without explaining, like squeezing her nose and leaving home without a heads up. He tells her, "I won't." He won't leave her again is what he meant.
Second couple: Han Xue is influenced by alcohol but she knows who she's kissing: Gu Li. Once she's acknowledged him, he kisses her deeply. And the night is spent. However, she wants to erase everything that happened and poor Gu Li is trying his best to hold back his tears.
[Ep10] Hotpot has given birth to three kittens. She's simultaneously happy and disappointed because Han Che is bound to send them away. He doesn't. He's a changed man – a man in love. She hugs him and thanks him. She doesn't let go and teases him for blushing. She doesn't know that their relationship has changed. He'll text her when she's coming home and tell her not to be too late. She thinks he just doesn't want her to disturb his sleep. Not true, he's made a roller-coaster themed cake for her to relieve her stress. He also weaves his way into her company as an advisor to an important project. Now they're coworkers and she finally realizes how famous Han Che actually is.
Extra scene: Han Che's coworkers are telling him how to raise a cat. You have to sleep with it to give it security. You cannot control the cat, the cat has to control you. You cannot hug other cats because they get jealous easily. Han Che tells them to pause because he needs to write notes but the guy seemed to have forgot he's a genius. His coworkers ask him what type of cat he's raising. He smiles. It's a wild one. It's Nuan Nuan.
[Ep11] Han Che bullies Nuan Nuan at work but then treats her to dinner. She comments how he's always feeding her fish. He simply replies that cats like fishes. She's his cat and he's her fish. Through work, Han Che is able to make Nuan Nuan completely in awe with him. He's created the perfect image she wanted without her telling him anything. She has unending compliments for him. When these two are working together they create an aura that no one can interrupt. ♪Lalalala♪ This OST didn’t sound that good but it grew on me.
When all the female coworkers show interest in Han Che, he uses Nuan Nuan as his shield. One of the girls wanted to have lunch with him alone, but he wants to have fish broth with Nuan Nuan. At lunch, NN belatedly realizes none of the girls want the fish in the broth, they all want the fish that is Han Che). When she chokes, he'll purposely give her water in front of all the girls. He also deliberately reveals they live together, the type that doesn't require the other to pay rent. Nuan Nuan has no excuses but to take all the jealousy.
They're each other's motivation. He encourages her to go for her dream of being a designer. She's now in the design department. Meanwhile she's healing him without her knowing it. Han Che tells his psychiatrist about this cat he's raising. He complains that he has to be very careful to not anger it but it's also super cute.
Extra scene: Han Che takes her cupcake and scoops it with his finger, Approaching Nuan Nuan (who's under his orders to clean up the mess she made after baking), he points his finger at her. She screams a real deep yelp (lol) thinking he was going to smudge it on her face. Nope. He feeds it to her. The drama makes this look cute but in real life I’d hate taking something creamy off of another person’s finger.
[Ep12] Nuan Nuan is harshly scolded at work. When Han Che returns home, Nuan Nuan cries and goes to him for a hug. However, he doesn't give her any sympathy. He even agrees with her boss. He's cold to her all of a sudden because he's jealous; he recalled the present he thought she bought for Han Chen. The present is "HC" cuff links. Dude, how can he now know it's for him?
Nuan Nuan gets into a thief car. She manages to get off of it but slips off a hill. The entire world is looking for her (Han Xue and Fan Han Chen). It's Han Che who drops everything to look everywhere for her.
Second couple: Han Xue is pregnant.
[Ep13*] Nuan Nuan claws her way back up. With each step upward, she cries for Han Che. Han Che hears her and saves her. He carries her into his car, holds her face and tells her to cry if she wants to. She cries, "I thought I'd never be able to see you again." He pulls her in so that they're foreheads are touching, assuring her that won't happen. When their hands accidentally touch, they both feel the butterflies. However, his mood is soured when he recalls that present again. The car also dies on him. It can't get any worse for him. It really doesn't. Once she saw him pick up the box, she tells him the present is for him. For a moment, I don't think he knows what to do with himself; one moment so low, next moment so high. He turns right around, bends over the driver window, and gives her a surprise kiss. He then asks for his present. Surprised, she changes the topic and asks him whether they'll make it to their destination in time. He hovers over the window and smiles, "It’s me (of course we'll make it)."
After arriving at the village, they find themselves going through hard labour to convince the old man to help her. Han Che teases her and she almost falls but he catches her. He touches her neck but forgets his gloves are covered with mud. She screams a high pitch one and chases after him across the field. Cute. At night, Han Che reveals his deep regret. After an argument with his father, he didn't pick up his grandmother's call. Not long after, his grandmother passed away. Her last words were his name. Hearing his story, Nuan Nuan pats his back and hugs him.
Second couple: Han Xue tells Gu Li about her pregnancy. She misunderstands he wants her to abort it. He never had that intention. He was thinking all night how he was going to be responsible for her and their baby. It's his turn to be upset that she had considered aborting their baby. However, there is no baby to abort. Han Xue is relieved but Gu Li is disappointed.
[Ep14] With Han Che’s help, Nuan Nuan convinces the old man to work with her company. Now Nuan Nuan and Han Che can enjoy their date. He feeds her a tiny wonton and her reaction to it was so cute. He wipes her mouth for her. He feeds her again but this time he takes it back before she can eat it. She attempts the same but he's like a wolf ready to pounce on the food. She laughs, it's so natural. She's buying clothes for him because he didn't bring any. She wants to get him a simple T-shirt, but he wants a dress shirt. He buttons it wrong and she naturally buttons it for him. They both smile at each other, confirming their love. He tells her he wants the dress shirt because he wants to put on the cuffs immediately, aw. She smiles but tells him he’s not dressed properly for it yet (she’s the designer so). The salesperson is curious where she bought the cuff links but Han Che doesn't want her to share that detail. He wants his present unique to him. They also take couple pictures (for one of the pictures, she wants to sneeze but Han Che covers her up hence that awkward cute picture). In the car ride back, she naturally feeds him oranges while he's driving. I love that this drama doesn't make the guy do a official confession for them to be official. They're so natural!
Fan Han Chen proposes to her. What. From his perspective Nuan Nuan was always within his reach and he was confident he could win her over. Nope. On another note, Han Che strongly recommends Lin Jia Yi to be the company's model which makes Nuan Nuan develop a tiny jealous. And thus begins the two's jealousy that they make obvious to one another. The jealousy stays pretty cute until Han Che misunderstands she doesn't like him and he gets himself involved in a scandal with Lin Jia Yi. Her manager comes to Nuan Nuan for help. He begs her to take a few photos with Han Che to cover up the scandal because her figure is similar to Lin Jia Yi's.
[Ep15] After the misunderstanding, Han Che is so mean to Nuan Nuan. She's asking for an explanation of his scandal with Lin Jia Yi. She's in the right but he doesn't think she deserves an explanation. They're in the middle of a shoot to cover up the scandal. When Lin Jia Yi sees the pictures they took, she complains to Fan Han Chen that they're nothing like the original. There was no way Han Che's hands were that tight on hers compared to Nuan Nuan's. At least she knows. Despite knowing Han Che and Nuan Nuan have mutual feelings for each other, Lin Jia Yi won't give up on Han Che.
Nuan Nuan's design is approved by her boss. Even though it will be under Lin Jia Yi's credit, she's giddy about her first design. I love her proud look when she saw her finished product. The one time she's not happy about this was when Han Che compliments Lin Jia Yi for the design right in front of Nuan Nuan.
Lin Jia Yi's manager doesn't want anymore scandal between his star and Han Che so he forces Nuan Nuan to be their messenger. Han Che tells Nuan Nuan to tell LJY that her left profile is pretty and reminds her to show that side more. Nuan Nuan only delivers half the message: show your left face more. LJY also has a caring message to deliver: drink more water. Nuan Nuan shoves the water bottle in his hand. Han Che smirks. He likes Nuan Nuan being his messenger because the one he wants to talk to is her. Nuan Nuan doesn't know this and gets jealous when LJY gets uncomfortably close to her Han Che.
Second couple: The entire office is helping Gu Li win over a stubborn Han Xue
[Ep16] When Han Che sees Nuan Nuan looking at Lin Jia Yi hugging him, he quickly backs off. After the filming ends, Han Che drives her to the celebratory dinner. She's angry at him. Like any girl, she pulls his shirt towards her to force a kiss on him. Lol. Go girl. She then angrily pushes him away. She grumpily crosses her arms and tells him she was just washing out the poison. Han Che hasn't said a word. His response is to grab her in for another kiss. She's actually fighting him but he wins.
The next day the truth about the designs are exposed. It's revealed that Nuan Nuan is the designer. She gets hate because of Lin Jia Yi's fans and she gets the blame for revealing it. The company is scrambling to overcome the scandal from affecting their sales and so Nuan Nuan has to film a video to clarify she had nothing to do with the design. She returns home and cries alone. However, she's not alone. Han Che has a surprise waiting for her. He's bought the dress she designed. From the moment he saw the design, he knew it was hers. He gives her a back hug and she hugs him back. Aw so these two finally make up. Although none of the misunderstandings were revealed yet. I guess it doesn't matter at this point? He knows she loves him. There's just that one grand misunderstanding to fix which I'm not looking forward to.
The next morning, she's brushing her teeth and Han Che walks in. He's complaining about the forced kiss she gave him that night as he's cleaning his mouth. She scoffs that he loved it and forces another lemon-y kiss on his cheeks. When it's his turn, he wants more and kisses her on the lips again and again. I squealed. Half of my squeal was for how sweet it was. The remaining half is because he's still got un-spat toothpaste in his mouth. She's headed to work and he carries her across the street. Why is this necessary? Because it's sweet, duh.
Nuan Nuan has overtime and Han Che gives her a surprise visit. Someone made her angry and reignites her jealously for Li Jia Yi. She's throwing a cute tantrum so Han Che lifts her up because she's his cat and cats like being lifted. Understand the logic here? There is none.
They're at home watching Lin Jia Yi's interview about her relationship style, which happens to be the opposite of Nuan Nuan's. She taunts Han Che that she's the jealous type and asks him why he had lunch with Lin Jia Yi, why they had a scandal in the first place, did they kiss, etc. Han Che smiles. His next move is to push her down on the couch to hover over her lips. He tells her he kissed LJY just like that. Thus he doesn't kiss her to prove to her that he didn't kiss LJY. Nuan Nuan doesn't care about his answer anymore, she's just disappointed he didn't kiss her. Han Che walks away with a knowing laugh. There's more sweet moments the next morning like playing with cracked eggs. These two can play with anything and make it so naturally sweet.
Work-wise is also smooth sailing for Nuan Nuan, not the company. Her boss finally approves of her (after Han Che had motivated her). However, they do need a new model. She comes home and sweetly gives Han Che a back hug. She shyly tells him she needs to ask Fan Han Chen for the favour. Han Che stoically approves but steals back the noodle he made for her. Nuan Nuan, who's on the phone with FHC, bites the noodles from his chopsticks.These two.
Extra scene: Han Che and Fan Han Chen were engaged in a bidding war for Nuan Nuan's dress. Both men determined to win but the ultimate winner is Han Che because FHC's power source for his laptop was cut. It's fate :D
[Ep17] This is an episode of Han Che displaying his love. He secretly holds her hand at work. It's Nuan Nuan who's trying to hide it. He doesn't like other men, or more specifically, Fan Han Chen touching her. He absolutely hates it when she was alone with Fan Han Chen and tries to kiss her to make up for it.
Nuan Nuan's boss gives her a present to acknowledge her as a designer. Han Che applies lip gloss on her for the last finishing touch to her look. He then brushes her bangs aside to give her a sweet forehead kiss. I guess he doesn't want to ruin the lip gloss he just applied for her. He's so sweet when he's staring at her with love. He's absolutely flirtatious when he asks Nuan Nuan for an air kiss right when she's with Fan Han Chen and Lin Jia Yi for helping her with a near impossible favour.
After Nuan Nuan's huge accomplishment for the model show, the first person she wants to embrace is Han Che. They're at the peak of their romance and that's when she learns Han Che is King, the man who ruined her idol dream. She feels betrayed. She refuses to hear any of his explanations and thinks that his love for her is only out of pity and compensation.
Lin Jia Yi is a little annoying this episode when she asks Han Che what she's going to do with her wasted love on him. It sounds like she's blaming him for not loving her.
[Ep18] Nuan Nuan decides to move out. Fan Han Chen is there to help her. He tells her he felt the most pain when she brought him the suit and saw how drenched her back was from sweat. She helped him so much but he couldn't do anything for her. However, that's where his character's niceness stops. He lies to Han Che that Nuan Nuan doesn't want to see him and gives her keys back to him without Nuan Nuan knowing. He takes credit for things Han Che has done for her and purposely alienates Han Che from her. I thought Lin Jia Yi was annoying last episode but, man, Fan Han Chen stoops even lower.
Han Che doesn't understand what's wrong with wanting to compensate Nuan Nuan for what he's done to her. Nuan Nuan wants his true love but she doesn't realize she already has it. Han Che is pulling all-nighters to find the culprit who tried to ruin the model show. He relies on medication to keep himself functioning and neglects his health. He faints over but continues to do what he can for Nuan Nuan without her knowing. Han Che doesn't know what else he can do so he lowers his pride to ask his sister for help to win back Nuan Nuan.
[Ep19] Han Xue helps. After a night of drinking, she brings Nuan Nuan home to Han Che. She's drunk and asks him to stay in her room with her. It's morning. Nuan Nuan wakes up first and it's Han Che who's tightly grasping onto her arm. He hugs her and apologizes and apologizes and apologizes. He's still going on about compensation. The man just doesn't know how to express himself and continues to say the wrong stuff like the fact that she needs him. Nuan Nuan is aware of his meaning but she still can't get over her anger and his poor wording. She tells Han Xue they both need time to cool down which means Han Che isn't completely hopeless. Although she said she needed a cooling period, she's spending all day and all night waiting for him to text her. It's cute how she saved him as "Han Che is typing" because it makes her wait for his slow replies less tiresome. She accidentally sends him a text and then tries to correct it. However, on Han Che's end he's canceling all his important appointments just to study the meaning behind her texts. Uh just reply it with something.
[Ep21] Han Che is drunk and pulls Nuan Nuan away from Fan Han Chen who's trying to make a last ditch effort on her. Han Che whispers in her ear that she can't run away from him. He confesses that it's not her that needs him, it's he that needs her, "you are my home, where there is you is where my home is." The drunk him finally knows how to talk. They kiss in the taxi. She finally forgives him.
The next morning is sugary as well. They're having breakfast and there's butter on her lips. He leans over the table which gives her butterflies. She asks him if he doesn't have enough butter. He tells her, "not enough." He wipes her lips and licks his finger. Nuan Nuan makes an inner squeal at how he's such an expert at flirting now.
Nuan Nuan has to go to work but Han Che doesn't want to be separated from her so he becomes her personal assistant. The two also get recruited to help with filming where they have to do cringy romantic stuff like figure out who cooked what dish. Han Che was able to immediately guess Nuan Nuan's because she didn't put ginger in her dishes knowing Han Che doesn't like ginger. He also recalls when he first met her. It was the summer when he was 18 there was a girl in his kitchen who was dark and fat in a pink dress stealing his watermelon. Ah so this is where his memory is useful.
The filming almost ends and there's fireworks to celebrate it. Nuan Nuan and Han Che enjoy a sweet kiss. They just can't have enough of each other. He tells her to be taller. She obediently goes on her tippy toes so it's easier for him to kiss her.
With filming over, Nuan Nuan is back home. She's moving back in with Han Che. When she's in her room, she finds that he redecorated her entire room. He asks her if one day he can't find her, what will happen. She tells him to not move because she will find him. There's a reason why he asked this question. He has a brain tumour and needs surgery asap. One of the side effects of the surgery is memory loss. He doesn't want to lose any memories of Nuan Nuan.
Nuan Nuan learns of his surgery. She's mad at him for not telling her and he doesn't want her accompanying him. She gives him a choice, either let her accompany him or break up. He chooses the latter. He doesn't want to show his weak side to her and doesn't want to leave her with any tragic memories.
Nuan Nuan finds the photo journal Han Che made detailing his every memory of her. She runs after him hoping to catch him before he's in for his surgery. She manages to catch the last glimpse of him before he entered the operation room. During the operation, she receives a call from his lawyer. Han Che has left his home for her as an inheritance. Nuan Nuan's heart breaks and cries that she doesn't want anything except for Han Che. It's like the sky suddenly fell on her. Fortunately (and obviously) Han Che's surgery is successful. So is he going to have to wear a hat forever.
Han Che wakes up (memories intact) but that doesn't meant Nuan Nuan's anger isn't angry with him or at least pretending to be angry. She's easily appeased when he hugs her and won't let her go.
Extra tidbit: A random girl interviews Han Che if he would appease his girlfriend if she was angry. He nods. She asks a follow-up question what if it was the girl who was in the wrong. Han Che glances at Nuan Nuan and answers that the girl will need to change. Ha. Instantly, Nuan Nuan puts her palm out waving bye without a single word. Haha. He chases after her.
[Ep23] Han Che is not completely free of side effects though because his memory can lapse whenever. Although Nuan Nuan is worried for him, she's still angry with him. She plans to move out because prior to the surgery he chose to break up with her. Han Xue tries to mediate and confirmed with Han Che that he wouldn't make the same decision again. However, Han Che hesitates on answering because he'll chose to hide his surgery from her still. Lol, I applaud his honesty. With that, Nuan Nuan is determined to leave but Han Che has one last trick up his sleeve. He has a renting contract with her for at least three more months otherwise she'd have to compensate. Ha.
She doesn't move out but she leaves for a few days to visit her family. Her mom has set up a blind date for her and Han Che overhears this. Immediately, he takes the taxi to her place to stop the blind date. He's also equipped with presents to impress her parents. He specifically bought her dad a red scarf. With that, he's immediately on dad's bad side. He asks Nuan Nuan to help him win over her parents. She humphs that he hasn't even won her over and now he wants her to help him win her parents. Not a chance. The next moment, she lists out every single thing about her parents as fast as she can, haha. He leans in to her and clamps her lips with his fingers. He whispers to her that she can never run away from him. Not like she wants to run away anyways. It's been over a month, and Han Che is still at her hometown trying to win over her parents. I like that scene where dad offered him a cigarette and Nuan Nuan freaked out. He put the cigarette in his ear like a pencil. The next moment when dad was distracted he gave it to Nuan Nuan.
Her parents are impressed with him but the happy bubble is about to burst. Han Che's memories are deteriorating. Additionally when the parents learns of his tumour, all his previous efforts become futile. The parents disapprove of him. Nuan Nuan throws a fit at her parents declaring that he's her boyfriend. Han Che is touched but leaves the dinner to respect her parents.

[Ep24] Nuan Nuan stops Han Che from telling her to breakup. She's sick of it. He's afraid of forgetting her though. She promises him that no matter how many times he forgets her, she'll make him fall in love with her again. She hugs him.
They're back in their home and Nuan Nuan's parents make a video call to apologize to Han Che. They also deliver a ton of health products to Han Che to indicate they approve of him. Nuan Nuan is now working as Han Che's personal secretary. Han Che doesn't have his incredible memory anymore but that takes nothing away from his intellectualism. She's organizing all his schedule from work to personal life (so that he has optimal health). When he sleeps is also within her scheduling. She gives him a tiny flexibility where he can give her a good night kiss prior to sleeping if he wishes. He chokes on his water. Smiling, he seals her lip with the sticky note (of his sleeping schedule) and kisses her forehead. Nuan Nuan doesn't want a forehead kiss though. They almost kiss (their lips are practically touching) but Gu Li interrupts them.
After all their hard work, Han Che's project wins an award. Nuan Nuan's parents call in to celebrate. Nuan Nuan forgets that she's still in a video conference when then when Han Che casually gives her another toothpaste kiss. Nuan Nuan tries to explain that they're not usually like this. Her parents don't mind it one bit. Now that Han Che's project is complete, it's Nuan Nuan's turn. He helps her set up her dream. She wants to create a fashion app. Her team consists of Han Xue, Gu Li, the boss she idolized in her old company, and lastly but most importantly Han Che, her personal assistant. A year later, her app is a booming success and she even gives a lecture to new idol trainees giving them hope that a career can be born from anywhere as long as there's belief.
Han Xue takes Gu Li to shop for baby clothes. That frightens Gu Li as he recalls that horrible time Han Xue wasn't pregnant. Nonetheless, he still buys the clothes because it'll eventually be useful. Meanwhile Fan Han Chen and Lin Jia Yi are living off on their dating rumors. It might not be a rumour any time soon though.
Han Che's photographic memory is back. She wants to know when it was back and call his doctor but that's not what's important to him now. She freaks out confused how could this not be important when everything of his is important to her. He interrupts her and gives her a ring box. It's a proposal. She opens it and a hologram pops out. He tells her this light, this vision, is her glory that only belongs to her. He wants to formally ask her the question and if she doesn't agree, he'll keep asking until she says yes. He kneels down and asks her to marry him. She's brimming with joy but shyly asks him if she refuses will he really ask her again. If that's true, then she wants to hear it once more. He smiles and swoops her in for a long kiss. He then asks her if he heard him ask her again. She nods. When he asks for her answer she cutely mumbles that she still wants to hear it tomorrow. Haha. He kisses her again. The camera pans out and we hear Nuan Nuan saying "Han Che, Please take care of me" and Han Che saying, "Nuan Nuan, please take care of me." It's the Chinese title.
The next morning while Han Che is making breakfast, she's quietly behind him and asks to hear it once more. He proposes again. While he's feeding their cat she wants to hear it again. He proposes again. While he's typing on his laptop she closes his laptop with her chin telling him she wants to hear it again. He proposes again. While he's on the toilet, she's outside asking him to ask her again. Now he's fed up. He pulls her out the door and she surrenders. He's actually taking her to get their marriage licence. The next scene, he's kissing her while they're both under a veil. What kiss number are we on? The end.
Remarks
[First Impression (Ep1-10)] I like how our leads look alike. Even Li Min Jun (Gu Li) looks similar to them. I have yet to see how much I like their chemistry but I like what I see so far. I scratched my head when I kept reading "visionary" as Han Che's occupation. I thought it was a supernatural ability, it turns out he's just super smart and "cold". Meanwhile Nuan Nuan is super "warm" as per her name. She also gives off the big sister vibe to him, which matches the warm theme. Meanwhile Liang Jing Kang suits the little brother role. He's got a natural pouty face (and a little bloated, lol). I like that Han Che has realized he likes her while she still thinks of him as a little brother.
[Actors/Actresses] (I'm writing this up after I finished the drama) This is my first Li Kai Xin drama and she's such a bubbly naturally cute girl and it immediately translates on screen. Her reactions are so raw and she has a good sense of humour. She's still new to me so I find her fresh. I saw Liang Jing Kang in the Meteor Garden (2018). From my hazy memory of it, there's a huge contrast between his two characters which makes me appreciate his acting here. His face is just a little too bloaty xD. As for Pei Zi Tian, I really did like him but the roles he's given are – sigh.
[Review] This a stable rom-com. With Cdramaland saturated with so many of these it's really hard for each of them to stand out. What makes this drama a little different is the male character here seems to have a bit of Asperger Syndrome. That's just my personal take on his character. The relationship they develop then becomes her taking lead most of the time and it sort of rubs off on him but he still sticks to his principles. The drama hit its peak for me at around Episode 13 when he took the lead. The moment he confirmed her feelings, he knew exactly what he wanted. The sweet moments that followed were like a ray of sunshine. It wasn't just sugary sweet; it was warm ("nuan") and bright. It was natural and a lot of it was thanks to Li Kai Xin (Eleanor Lee). It might not top my list of rom-coms I love but this was a good one. It's definitely in the top for the amount of kisses in a single drama if I had bothered counted.
