[Ep1] Wu Jing Hao is a successful doctor. He's confident; he's smart; he's got a heart of gold. His only flaw: he doesn't have a girlfriend. At the hospital he meets a highschooler who jumped off a chair and injured herself in a suicide attempt. He's oddly attached to her because she reminds him of this "thorny" girl (Chinese title "My Hedgehog Girl"). He tells her lucky she didn't jump otherwise she'd break her leg and dislocate her ribs which might even pierce her heart. It turns out those were the words Han Fei had said to him when he tried to commit suicide back in high school. You see, he wasn't that confident, smart, and successful back then.
That was the first suicide attempt. She's caught him again the second attempt and this time his words pleases her and she retaliates his bullies for him. Cool. My male lead is a nerd and a coward, and my female lead is indifferent but charismatic. However, the one who passed away that year wasn't him but her. On exam day, she refused to go with him to school because she had to go to the hospital. And that was the last he saw of her.
Ten years have gone by and Wu Jing Hao has never forgotten her. By chance he finds her journal. Inside he reads her call for help. Suddenly he sees her walking by and he chases after her. I like the music here. And voila, he's traveled back to when they were eighteen.
[Ep2] The first logical thing Wu Jing Hao does when he goes back in time is grab Han Fei in a tight hug. He's no longer weak and cowardly. In Han Fei's dictionary of him he went from "Er Huo" to "Chun Huo" to finally just "Wu Jing Hao". Er Huo means fool or foolishly cute person (the latter is the definition Wu Jing Hao accepts). Chun Huo also means fool but in an insulting way. Now after the time travel and he's turned all cool, she gives him back his name (:.
Wu Jing Hao has three months to save her. He's reading her journal which had travelled back in time with him. However, the words in her journal slowly disappear. His arrival has changed her fate and her journal entries have subsequently changed. He gets to see the live changes as words reappear. She’s writing to complain about him, lol. She describes him as an "oily uncle". He's a cheesy ahjussi in a teenager's body. The next day he shows up with upgraded appearance. The curly hair is finally gone~
[Ep3] Wu Jing Hao's ability to know the future helps him dodge an embarrassing incident but he ends up injuring Han Fei instead. The doctor in him knows exactly how to treat her but when he's asking for all sorts of medical supply from the school physician he realizes he's no longer qualified to. Off topic, he may be a doctor in the future but currently he can't even solve the simplest math problems. Understandable. Except how will his current indifference to his academics affect his future career? Han Fei rolled off the stairs so I don't really know why she needs a needle but she needs one. Scared, she grabs onto WJH's hand until the tiny needle poke is over. The adult vibe in Wu Jing Hao is so apparent that this scene simply looks like him comforting her as an adult (doctor) and less romantic.
So far, life has been good to Wu Jing Hao. It's almost too easy. He's managed to climb over the high walls Han Fei had surrounded herself with. Her journal entires have all been about him and the sly Wu Jing Hao has been reading them all.
[Ep4] So what is up with Han Fei? She's got dad and friend problems. Her friend (Nan Nan) suffered severe burn injuries and is in a coma. She feels responsible for her injuries but it was just an accident. As a result, her dad had transferred her to a new school to avoid rumours. Han Fei blames her dad for not helping her friend and that adds on to the hate she already has for her dad about her mom's death. There's also Bai Zhen Yu.I assume he's her crush from her previous school who's now a famous singer.
The fire incident at school brings all her nightmares back and she's about to commit suicide on the school's rooftop. Ahhhh his second suicide attempt actually saved her from hers. Han Fei had wanted to die too. This time he uses her words to console her plus some impressive words of his own.
[Ep6] By the way Bai Zhen Yu isn't Han Fei's crush. He's Nan Nan's boyfriend who's completely neglected Nan Nan for his career. Han Fei crashes his concert and smashes his guitar but that changes nothing. He still won’t visit the comatose Nan Nan. Knowing life is still terrible, Han Fei cries alone while writing her journal. Except she's not alone anymore. WJH can see her tears in her journal and because of those three teardrops, he spends practically all night outside baiting her to come out.
Living right across from the girl he likes is most definitely a plus. He uses masking tape to make a sad face to grab her attention. When her focus is all on him, he changes the emoji to a smiling one. And he gets what he wants: her smile. She mouths to him, "Er Huo". So he's back to being her foolish idiot.
[Ep7] I like that arm wrestling match; all that teamwork for what was supposed to be a two person battle. Right at the end of the episode there are these flashbacks and it seems like WJH was the one responsible for the fire incident HF's friend suffered. D:
[Ep8] We've hit a pause on HF's problems because homeroom teacher's potential layoff takes priority. The teacher is so loved by his students, even the big bad bully wants him to stay.
[Ep9] The class is at camp and Wu Jing Hao wakes up from a nightmare of a ghost calling to him. He wanders off in the night to look for the ghost but ends up being scared by Han Fei. She woke up looking for him. As they're lost in the woods (and are holding hands naturally), she recalls a movie scene. However, Wu Jing Hao, a man from the future, realizes she's talking about a movie that hasn't even aired yet. What! Did she also travel back in time? I can't believe WJH decides to drop this topic. Also, HF did look clueless.
Back to the teacher. The class has prepared a confession for him. It's sweet, I like the background music. Their class also works together for the first time in order to grab the trophy for the school's sports competition. Han Fei, our sports star (and singer-songwriter), is at the heart of the class competition. There's a lot pressure on her and it's cute how Wu Jing Hao helps her release stress. Wu Jing Hao really feels like an old man whenever he's helping Han Fei. According to WJH, the future has changed now that their class has won the sports competition and their teacher is saved from his layoff.
[Ep10] The class is celebrating together for their win. The bully approaches WJH and wants to be friends (the way he asks to be friends is cute). Han Fei misses the celebration because she went to look for Bai Zhen Yu. This upsets WJH and he says some pretty harsh words to her. That night he's regretting his words and calls her to apologize. She's about to forgive him but she slips and twists her neck. He rushes into her home to assess her but he's distracted by her long legs that’s exposed too much so he covers that up first.
After treating her, WJH finds a picture of her, Nan Nan and Bai Zhen Yu. Behind there's a message from Nan Nan asking HF if she believes in "time travel". Han Fei looks clueless here so I guess she's not the time-traveler? WJH recognizes Nan Nan as the girl in his nightmares.
Han Fei's father returns home but WJH is still in her room. She wants to hide him in her closet but then her underwear would be exposed to him. Therefore the only place to hide him is in her blanket on her bed. Everything of him is hidden except his toes. Dad spots it and almost brutally hits him to death, ha.
[Ep11] Fortunately dad is an understanding person. He believes that WJH is here to treat her neck. WJH is playing the mediator between the prickly Han Fei and her dad. He's really not acting his age, lol. He's speaking to Dad like they're equals. However, mediating is just too hard of a task to accomplish between those two. Han Fei does recognize his effort so the next day, to thank him, she gives him a milk bottle (literally) as a present because according to her he likes milk...
At lunch they coincidentally have the same meal. Her friend, Mo Xiao Bei, is teasing Han Fei, and Wu Jing Hao isn't helping with his sweet comments either. She's about to throw a punch at him but her friend stops her for a picture. Han Fei's expression is cute as she quickly becomes docile until her friend says "Fight" at the moment the picture is captured.
I see the first sign of jealousy in Han Fei this episode when a female student keeps nagging WJH. Wu Jin Hao knows she's upset and tells her that he'll do anything to make her happy. Her wish: a piggyback. Good OSTs are such blessings to dramas. The one playing here is so nice to listen to.
The next day she loses a bet and she accepts her punishment. He tells her to close her eyes and open her mouth. Unfortunately, it's not what you're thinking. He tells her to bite onto the chopstick and when she opens her eyes, his face is a breath away. He tells HF her smile is simply alluring. The next morning, he buys her breakfast on a whim. WJH has no idea he's a lady-killer.
[Ep12] Bai Zhen Yu never dated Nan Nan. He had confessed to Han Fei but she had rejected him. It's not clear whether she liked him because her excuse for rejecting him was that Nan Nan liked him. Even WJH believes HF had liked BZY. As BZY is explaining how his busy schedule had prevented him from visiting Nan Nan. He recalls that NN had once held onto WJH's student ID and expressed her dislike about him. However, WJH has zero recollection of meeting her.
BZY finally makes time to see HF and takes her to visit NN but when he says he wants to move on from their past (i.e. leave behind Nan Nan), HF blows up at him. WJH who's watching from afar approaches HF and takes her to shelter from the rain. He's at it again with doing anything to make her happy. He switches his sweater with hers because hers is all wet. For a man of his age, WJH sure is shy when she's just taking off her sweater. Now she wants his sneakers too. Hers is too small for him but he still agrees. She eyes him and he shrivels up saying there's nothing else he can give her, ha.
[Ep13] After BZY visited HF, a picture was snapped of them hugging. Now there's a scandal. Her best friend, Xiao Bei is a huge BZY fan and is upset at HF for the scandal. Not only is there an actual scandal but there's also a school rumor that she and WJH are dating so the teacher separates the two desk-mate. Poor Han Fei is without a best friend and her best desk-mate. Don't worry, that doesn't mean she's lost Wu Jin Hao, they just spend more time together outside of school. He even takes her home for dinner.
Secondary couple: This is the episode where Zhang Fan starts to develop feelings for Wu Yi Yi. She's his art tutor.
[Ep14] Han Fei is sick. Wu Jing Hao piggybacks her to school infirmary. Han Fei needs another needle and knowing she's afraid, he pinches her earlobe to distract her. When she tells him she's hungry, he makes his sister bring congee to him by lying to her it's Zhang Fan who's sick. It's really not fair how advantageous he is with future knowledge. He also goes out of his way to retrieve the wishes HF made on the wishing tree. Her three wishes are for Nan Nan to recover, Xiao Bei to forgive her, and her father to have dinner with her. I guess he'll be on a mission to complete all her wishes. He's her angel.
[Ep15] The sister brings congee and is the perfect third wheel when Wu Jing Hao spoon-feeds Han Fei. Wu Yi Yi comments that HF's hand isn't hurt and their little romantic moment is ruined. Despite that, Wu Jing Hao continues to be romantic on his own. He mends the friendship between Xiao Bei and Han Fei. When Han Fei realized he told everything to Xiao Bei she was going to throw her fist at him (playfully). Cleverly, he reminds her about their 30-step distance promise. Zhang Fan makes a quirky comment: "Then your thirty steps are pretty close".
Our doctor Wu Jing Hao is strict on Han Fei's post fever diet (it's sweet). Our doctor Wu Jing Hao is also a scrawny. He can barely do sit ups. Han Fei's holding his feet down and she's starting to feel his physical proximity every time he manages to do one. When it's her turn to do the sit ups, she's super light and quick. So quick, her forehead touches his before he even knows it. It's a Secret-Garden-esque sit up. Zhang Fan snaps a super HD photo of them right at this moment.
[Ep16] Wu Jing Hao catches Han Fei at the food market. She's there looking for a fake dad for the parent teacher meeting. She lies to him that she's here to buy fish to cook. WJH skeptically looks at her and to commit to her lie, she buys the fish. Now she has to cook it for him. WJH gives in as he sees her clueless. He tells her to put on an apron for him, and he's like a doctor waiting to be donned of his gown. WJH impresses HF as he cooks for her. I don't think he realizes how cool he looks to her.
Next day is parent teacher meeting and Han Fei's real and fake dad show up. Her lie is exposed but dad doesn't yell at her. After misunderstandings are revealed, the father and daughter reconcile and have dinner together. Wu Jin Hao has successfully granted her second wish: have dinner with dad. Wu Jing Hao was the one who texted her dad to come to school.
Wu Jing Hao not only grants her wish, but also his own. The class was making fun of their homeroom teacher's budding romance with another teacher. WJH makes the class behave in order to not destroy the teacher's love. In exchange, WJH gets what he wants: to be Han Fei's desk mate again, heh.
[Ep17] Han Fei writes in her journal wondering why WJH wants to be her desk mate again so much. She has no idea what he's thinking. Really. WJH smiles at her entries of him. There's another happy man in this episode: the teacher. He gets his chance when the female teacher broke up with her boyfriend. He makes his comforting words sound so awkward it's cute.
[Ep18] Zhang Fan indirectly rejects Xiao Bei's confession. I'm not sure if Zhang Fan realizes he likes Wu Yi Yi yet.
Han Fei finally realizes she knows nothing about Wu Jing Hao meanwhile he knows everything about her. She's also so used to having him sit beside her for lunch, she's unusually upset that he's not sitting with her. Then when she's told to clean the chalkboard, he automatically cleans it with her which makes the entire class tease them. WJH clarifies that Han Fei doesn't like him. The class teases them even more because he doesn't clarify if he likes her. The guy is hot and then cold and then hot again. Han Fei is wrapped around his finger.
She's upset at him this episode, and so is he. They're petty ones though. He doesn't like it when HF is excited about Bai Zhen Yu (he finally wants to visit Nan Nan). He also doesn't like when she knows BZY so well compared to knowing him.
Next day the class is cleaning the room. Wu Jing Hao helps her open the window and the wind catches her hair. He kneels down to stare into her face real close and compliments her, "I just feel that when your hair is blowing in the wind, you look really beautiful." Wow. This guy isn't fair.
[Ep19] Han Fei and Xiao Bei are locked in the washroom because of Bai Zhen Yu's crazy fangirls. Our scrawny WJH can't breakthrough the doors. The bully, Ma Jun Tao, helps but even he alone isn't strong enough. The boys give each other a silent cue to break through the door together, but WJH suddenly stops in his tracks, lol. You see, his shoulder is in too much pain. The bully catches on and glares at him, heh. On the third try, the washroom door is broken and the two girls are set free. WJH sees HF's injured foot and immediately princess carries her. Ma Jun Tao stands there awkwardly and motions in to carry Xiao Bei as well but she's fine walking on her own, ha. I wasn't expecting Ma Jun Tao and Xiao Bei to have a romantic line at all.
Wu Jing Hao sweetly tends to Han Fei's foot. How many times has she injured herself or fell ill? Lucky she has a doctor around her 24/7. The drama even spends extra time on him tying her shoelace for her injured food. Show, I'm already envious of her, no need to emphasize it this much more. He makes her promise that she always has to prioritize her safety even if it means leaving him in danger. The seriousness in his voice makes her nod to his orders.
Wu Jing Hao isn't done protecting her. He sought out BZY to make him control his fandom for Han Fei's sake. BZY demands to know his relationship with her to which he replies that she's someone very important him. BZY smiles because that answer means HF isn't his girlfriend. These men make it obvious to one another they both want Han Fei.
[Ep20] After a video from BZY reprimanding his fans for bullying his loved ones surfaces, BZY's residence is exposed. Han Fei is upset at WJH for telling BZY because now all his privacy is leaked. However, all her anger dissolves when Nan Nan wakes up from her coma. Oddly, Nan Nan recognizes Wu Jing Hao but doesn't reveal the reason why. Nan Nan only wants to see BZY so Han Fei pays him a visit at his studio. She's playing the mini-guitar he had bought her but then he suddenly turns off the light. He plays his guitar and honestly it's getting a little creepy, is it just me?. She trips from the darkness and lands in his arms.
[Ep21] Wu Jing Hao turns on the lights and takes her away from BZY. He's worried for her but Han Fei has grown to be suspicious and angry at Wu Jing Hao, especially because of Nan Nan's words. She warns her to be careful of WJH. WJH is also unable to explain why he knows everything about her. His fragmented memory of Nan Nan finally pieces together as Mu Jun Tao becomes his witness: he wasn't at the scene of Nan Nan's fire incident. However, more questions arise: why did Nan Nan show up at the dinner place early, why was she drunk, why did she have to avoid WJH, etc.

Han Fei's holding his feet down and she's starting to feel his physical proximity every time he manages to do one. When it's her turn to do the sit ups, she's super light and quick. So quick, her forehead touches his before he even knows it. It's a Secret-Garden-esque sit up. Zhang Fan snaps a super HD photo of them right at this moment.
[Ep16] Wu Jing Hao catches Han Fei at the food market. She's there looking for a fake dad for the parent teacher meeting. She lies to him that she's here to buy fish to cook. WJH skeptically looks at her and to commit to her lie, she buys the fish. Now she has to cook it for him. WJH gives in as he sees her clueless. He tells her to put on an apron for him, and he's like a doctor waiting to be donned of his gown. WJH impresses HF as he cooks for her. I don't think he realizes how cool he looks to her.
Next day is parent teacher meeting and Han Fei's real and fake dad show up. Her lie is exposed but dad doesn't yell at her. After misunderstandings are revealed, the father and daughter reconcile and have dinner together. Wu Jin Hao has successfully granted her second wish: have dinner with dad. Wu Jing Hao was the one who texted her dad to come to school.
Wu Jing Hao not only grants her wish, but also his own. The class was making fun of their homeroom teacher's budding romance with another teacher. WJH makes the class behave in order to not destroy the teacher's love. In exchange, WJH gets what he wants: to be Han Fei's desk mate again, heh.
[Ep17] Han Fei writes in her journal wondering why WJH wants to be her desk mate again so much. She has no idea what he's thinking. Really. WJH smiles at her entries of him. There's another happy man in this episode: the teacher. He gets his chance when the female teacher broke up with her boyfriend. He makes his comforting words sound so awkward it's cute.
[Ep18] Zhang Fan indirectly rejects Xiao Bei's confession. I'm not sure if Zhang Fan realizes he likes Wu Yi Yi yet.
Han Fei finally realizes she knows nothing about Wu Jing Hao meanwhile he knows everything about her. She's also so used to having him sit beside her for lunch, she's unusually upset that he's not sitting with her. Then when she's told to clean the chalkboard, he automatically cleans it with her which makes the entire class tease them. WJH clarifies that Han Fei doesn't like him. The class teases them even more because he doesn't clarify if he likes her. The guy is hot and then cold and then hot again. Han Fei is wrapped around his finger.
She's upset at him this episode, and so is he. They're petty ones though. He doesn't like it when HF is excited about Bai Zhen Yu (he finally wants to visit Nan Nan). He also doesn't like when she knows BZY so well compared to knowing him.
Next day the class is cleaning the room. Wu Jing Hao helps her open the window and the wind catches her hair. He kneels down to stare into her face real close and compliments her, "I just feel that when your hair is blowing in the wind, you look really beautiful." Wow. This guy isn't fair.
[Ep19] Han Fei and Xiao Bei are locked in the washroom because of Bai Zhen Yu's crazy fangirls. Our scrawny WJH can't breakthrough the doors. The bully, Ma Jun Tao, helps but even he alone isn't strong enough. The boys give each other a silent cue to break through the door together, but WJH suddenly stops in his tracks, lol. You see, his shoulder is in too much pain. The bully catches on and glares at him, heh. On the third try, the washroom door is broken and the two girls are set free. WJH sees HF's injured foot and immediately princess carries her. Ma Jun Tao stands there awkwardly and motions in to carry Xiao Bei as well but she's fine walking on her own, ha. I wasn't expecting Ma Jun Tao and Xiao Bei to have a romantic line at all.
Wu Jing Hao sweetly tends to Han Fei's foot. How many times has she injured herself or fell ill? Lucky she has a doctor around her 24/7. The drama even spends extra time on him tying her shoelace for her injured food. Show, I'm already envious of her, no need to emphasize it this much more. He makes her promise that she always has to prioritize her safety even if it means leaving him in danger. The seriousness in his voice makes her nod to his orders.
Wu Jing Hao isn't done protecting her. He sought out BZY to make him control his fandom for Han Fei's sake. BZY demands to know his relationship with her to which he replies that she's someone very important him. BZY smiles because that answer means HF isn't his girlfriend. These men make it obvious to one another they both want Han Fei.
[Ep20] After a video from BZY reprimanding his fans for bullying his loved ones surfaces, BZY's residence is exposed. Han Fei is upset at WJH for telling BZY because now all his privacy is leaked. However, all her anger dissolves when Nan Nan wakes up from her coma. Oddly, Nan Nan recognizes Wu Jing Hao but doesn't reveal the reason why. Nan Nan only wants to see BZY so Han Fei pays him a visit at his studio. She's playing the mini-guitar he had bought her but then he suddenly turns off the light. He plays his guitar and honestly it's getting a little creepy, is it just me?. She trips from the darkness and lands in his arms.
[Ep21] Wu Jing Hao turns on the lights and takes her away from BZY. He's worried for her but Han Fei has grown to be suspicious and angry at Wu Jing Hao, especially because of Nan Nan's words. She warns her to be careful of WJH. WJH is also unable to explain why he knows everything about her. His fragmented memory of Nan Nan finally pieces together as Mu Jun Tao becomes his witness: he wasn't at the scene of Nan Nan's fire incident. However, more questions arise: why did Nan Nan show up at the dinner place early, why was she drunk, why did she have to avoid WJH, etc.
[Ep22] Wu Jing Hao discovers the truth: Nan Nan has also traveled back in time to save Han Fei. They time-traveled the same way too: by hearing Bai Zhen Yu's new 2019 song. She tells him the real timeline of events. The girls wanted to celebrate BZY for signing his first company at a BBQ restaurant. He's too busy but the girls still go and that's how they met Wu Jing Hao and the bullies. After they bug the girls for their table, Han Fei dies in a car accident. Han Fei was in a coma and dies a year later because of BZY's crazy fangirls who barge into her hospital room. However, none of this happened in the current Wu Jing Hao's time that's because Nan Nan had time-traveled to change history. Instead she's now in a coma or was in a coma. Nan Nan had thought she changed the past but in Wu Jing Hao's current memory, Han Fei still dies. Nan Nan and Wu Jing Hao work together to stop Han Fei's next obstacle: the picture of the three friends. It's because of the picture that BZY's fangirls knew of Han Fei's existence. Unfortunately, BZY has lost his. It's a race against time to find the picture before Han Fei dies for the third time.
Second couple: Zhang Fan confesses to Wu Yi Yi with a present. She refuses it because it's not his money he used. She hints to him she'll wait for his present when he buys it with his own money. He happily agrees.
Exams are over and the day is finally coming to an end. WJH figures she's safer with him instead of returning home so he takes her by the sea. He takes out the present for her that she never opened: it's a hair clip. He puts it on for her thinking everything is safe and over. Unfortunately the one who dies from the fan attack is Nan Nan. Han Fei ditches him and runs to Nan Nan. Wu Jing Hao had begged her to stay for him. He tells her that he's afraid if she leaves this moment, he'll lose her forever. Still, Han Fei runs to Nan Nan.
[Ep24] Nan Nan is in a critical condition. Learning this, Han Fei had wanted to commit suicide but she stops herself because she'll miss Wu Jing Hao. She calls him and they see each other across the street. Relieved he was able to change her fate, he doesn't want anymore mishaps so he tells her to freeze on the sidewalk and he'll walk to her instead. Aw. I wanted to say thank you show. I hate it when dramas throw in a car accident in the last episode. But then. The drama throws in a car accident in the last episode. A car runs over Wu Jing Hao. I'm getting Mountains and Oceans flashbacks. Now two people have suffered just to save her. His last words to her are "Live well." Elsewhere, the journal disappears. Wu Jing Hao also left a letter for her explaining how he time traveled. In his letter he tells her, "I believe it's because I never forgot you that I had the chance to time travel. Even if I am unable to return to ten years later, I still love you all the same. As long as you're alive, it's the most beautiful thing for me"
Ten years later, Han Fei is now a doctor. It's the same scene Wu Jing Hao had and with the same prickly patient. Zhang Fan and Wu Yi Yi are still married. Xiao Bei and Ma Jun Tao are dating. Wu Jing Hao isn't dead! He's in a coma. She tells him she's met the prickly girl from his letter. She's still wearing the hair clip he gave her. Han Fei threatens the sleeping Wu Jing Hao that if he doesn't wake up, she'll find another boyfriend. But she still kisses him anyways.
She arrives at her dad's restaurant just as Wu Jing Hao had. Similarly, the radio suddenly turns on to Bai Zhen Yu's song. The same voice asks if you would still want to time travel even if you're unable to return. Nan Nan? Han Fei says the same words as Wu Jing Hao had that it doesn't matter as long as she can see him. Suddenly, Wu Jing Hao appears in front of her. She chases after him and opens the door to the past.
Aaaand we arrive to the same scene with the same prickly patient for the third time now. Han Fei is still a doctor. She's still wearing the hair clip. However, this time both of them appear in the same timeline! Finally. Except Wu Jing Hao is the shy boy from the original time frame and still hasn't confessed. Awwwww but I like the original Wu Jing Hao who went back in time more and not so much the WJH who never went back. For the past ten years, he's tried countless times but shies out every single time. Under the blossom trees, he had planned it all plus a cute little bow-tie but because she called it ugly, he cannot continue confessing. The reason: too ugly. Under the blossom trees, he also gave her a letter but it wasn't a love letter, it was a love story he wrote. At the dinner reunion, all his classmates tease him. Han Fei is obviously still waiting for his official confession. After dinner is over, he piggybacks her under the same blossom trees. She outright asks him when he's planning to confess. He says he could do it now but she doesn't want it. It's not romantic. But then she asks him if he likes her. He tells her, "I like you, I really, really like you." She then questions him if he'll piggyback her for the ten next years. He replies, "For the next ten years, and the next ten years, and the next, next ten years."

Remarks
[First Impression (Ep1-6)] The OST brings all sorts of "A Love So Beautiful" vibe. It's not just that, the male lead is also a doctor. I assume that the main leads will reunite in adulthood. If it's a happy ending that is. However, that's where all the comparisons stops. Wu Jing Hao starts off as the nerd that every bully dreams of bullying. Han Fei is charismatic and pretends to be a bully (at least on the first day of school). It's also not your light, fluffy, sweet romance drama. The heroine's got some "dark" problems to fix and the male lead is resolute in helping her. It does slightly remind me of "Someday or Oneday" (Tdrama). I hope this one is lighter than that one though.
[Actors and Actresses] To this day I'm still burned about that trashy ending in "Mountains and Oceans". Thus, seeing the same actress, Zhuang Da Fei, I have an uncanny feeling about this ending even though I know they're completely unrelated productions. That ending was just too horrifying. As for Li Yi Nan, I'm impressed. His old man vibe is displayed very well. The only problem is I still need to buy that this is a high school romance. [Ending Update] Li Yi Nan doesn’t have the handsome face most male actors have but he makes his character so charming. Such a gem. I want him to be successful.
[Ending] It's a happy ending, but a little loopy. In Nan Nan's time frame, Han Fei had died a year earlier hence she returned a few days earlier to save Han Fei which allowed HF to meet Wu Jing Hao. Han Fei still dies a year later hence he returns a few months earlier to save her. Wu Jing Hao is able to meet Nan Nan and they both have time travel memories. Thus at what point does Han Fei return? Episode 24's Wu Jing Hao seems like Episode 1's Wu Jing Hao. However, the current Han Fei is the one Wu Jing Hao time-traveled to save so the last episode's WJH has to be the WJH throughout the drama. Unless she traveled back to when he just traveled back therefore he didn't have the time to undergo his personality change. That sucks because I really like the confident WJH. I'm sure Han Fei loves that version too. For her though, I guess as long as Wu Jing Hao is alive, it doesn't matter if time doesn't return as is (the line she had said prior to time traveling).
As for Bai Zhen Yu and Nan Nan, I think they're alive. I mean, BZY still made that song in 2019 for everyone to have a chance at time-travel. I'm sure Han Fei won't just save Wu Jing Hao and neglect Nan Nan. Both Wu Jing Hao and Nan Nan experience the consequence of changing history. They each die the way Han Fei was supposed to die. It would make sense for Han Fei to experience some sort of consequence as well but the drama stops at a happy ending. Which I'm perfectly fine with.
I still don't understand Episode 9 where Han Fei knew of a movie that hasn't aired yet. Is it just me? Did I miss something?

[Extra Clip] There's a two minute clip of Han Fei and Wu Jing Hao probably married. They're in bed together and she suddenly wakes up accusing him of cheating. He has no idea what she's saying. That's because he cheated in her dreams. Still, Wu Jing Hao apologizes for it. She makes him promise that he'll never cheat on her. He lists how it's impossible for him to cheat. She retaliates, "then who was the girl in my dream?" He can't win against that logic. He swears he will never cheat but before he can say the condition if he lies, she stops him because she can't bear it if something bad happens to him.
[Review] I thought the drama was smart with its execution. I never watched “Somehow 18” so this drama was fresh for me. The time travel was engaging and made sense in a loopy way. I love Li Yi Nan’s portrayal of Wu Jing Hao. Such a lovable boy-(ahjussi)-next door vibe. He’s mature and perfectly ripe to seduce a girl of Han Fei’s age. Biting the chopstick to compliment her smile and closing in on her face to compliment her hair were killer moves and he doesn’t even know it. Wu Jing Hao devotes his entire life to make one girl happy.
I like that the drama reserved the blossom trees to their romantic moments only. The first time when Han Fei gets jealous and the start of her love for Wu Jing Hao was the piggyback scene under the blossom trees. The multiple (failed) confessions years later are still under the blossom trees. But does a confession really matter to them? Although only ten years have passed in real-time, Wu Jing Hao has loved her for twenty years already and risked his life for it. Now that beats any confession and Han Fei knows it.
[Verdict] A little bit of mystery, a whole lot of love from a boy who will do anything to save the girl he loves. It’s an easy watch with a lovable male lead.
