• As of 2026, he's a Huge Star (昊星影視文化) actor, and not a huge star. He's labelmates with Myolie Wu, Li Chuan, etc. Before changing agencies, for much of his career, he was signed to Huace Film & TV (華策影視), which has also seen actors like Liang Jie and Yu Shu Xin depart.
• Hit jackpot in his first leading drama, A Love So Beautiful. Pretty much made him an overnight star.
• But then hit with his own jack*** mouth. In 2018, a woman who claimed to have spent the night with him leaked alleged audio recordings in which he said co-star Shen Yue wasn't his type (while promoting with her). In the recordings, he also made remarks implying he wasn't interested in women who were not physically attractive, which many netizens criticized as objectifying. Basically proving to us this beloved actor is… a man. LOL. Moral of the story when admiring actors: admire the work, not the fantasy. You can love the characters they bring to life and appreciate the image they present, but don't confuse that with knowing who they are as a person.
