The original novel of the same title is written by Mo Shu Bai. Originally, it's a rebirth FL. Her other adaptations include Destined and The Princess Royal.
This is only like the 34897234th female general drama of the year. Ok fine, maybe just the 4th, but it feels like a lot!

Clifford is deadly for non-main-leads. Grand Princess and Xue Han Mei die – on/off a cliff. But they also took poison, so maybe it wasn't Clifford. All other couples are together and alive.
