Trigger Warning: Mental Abuse, Emotional Cruelty

[First Impression (Ep1-)] Lowered my expectations for this one. I'm pretty sure they're riding on the coattails of success with My Lethal Man and the highly sensationalized but mediocre Bride's Revenge.

[Actors/Actresses] I cannot believe Fan Zhi Xin has another series already. Then again, I should be more shocked about Qu Meng Ru as yet another aggrieved bride.

I don’t even want to review this one. Like I want to erase it from my memory bank. This review is more of a proclamation of caution. 

This series is about one man’s means to rule his world by stepping on one person at a time. And this time, he chose the wrong one – even though it takes her quite some time with help to realize it. Qin Li is the epitome of top-level narcissistic behavior - the back and forth between being the doting husband to angrily demanding that she adhere to this contract wherein she can’t say or do anything outside of his whim. Fan Zhi Xin was very good in this role, as he truly nailed it and I hated him so much. I just hope that  I never have to see him this angry and worked up ever again. It’s frightening, from the way his face shakes, his eyes bulge, and the coldness in his eyes and set jawline, and the actual rage emanating from his body. I also sincerely hope Qu Meng Ru stops accepting this role as the complacent wife of an egotistical man.

I seriously suggest no one watch this. There is nothing to gain from watching this. Sure, the FL gets away at the very end. But it takes a long time to get there, and you have to live through her mental and emotional anguish with her. Not worth it. Not in this lifetime nor the next. Skip, skip, skip.
