Mini Recaps

[Episode 1-6 Summary
Qin Shu is a fashion designer. Three years ago, she suffered a first degree burn to her entire body. Right now Qin Shu is all recovered and has come back stronger than ever. However, people keep mixing her up with Xue Qi Luo. Why would people think that. Well. That's because they look exactly very alike.
Qin Shu
Xue Qi Luo
Both Qin Shu and Xue Qi Luo were in the same accident three years ago. However, everyone thinks Qi Luo has passed away. Hence the current girl with the same similar face has to be Qin Shu by default.
The only person who's adamant on believing that the current Qin Shu is actually Xue Qi Luo is Lu Zhi Yao (also a fashion designer). Why does he care? Because he loooooooooves Xue Qi Luo. However, his fiancé is a different woman.
This girl is the fiancé, Bai Ming Yu. She was probably in the same accident all the girls were in. But she's been in a coma for three years ever since. She is also Qin Shu's best friend.
This is Bai Ming Yu's family. The mom wants to hook up her son (the blondie) with Qin Shu. Except only Lu Zhi Yao is right about her identity. She is Xue Qi Luo so it must suck seeing her ex-boyfriend be so caring towards Bai Ming Yu. However she hates him to the core. It's probably all related to the new fiancé/fire incident three years ago.

Now that Xue Qi Luo is awake and recovered, she has one mission while living under the guise of Qin Shu: to find her missing brother Ah Zhi. She probably also has another mission: to compete against anything Lu Zhi Yao does for her hatred towards him. Except it's pretty obvious Lu Zhi Yao only has love towards her.
I don't know yet if Qin Shu's brother, Qin Wei Ran will complete the love triangle. Because technically he's not Xue Qi Luo's brother. But they look the same! Or maybe he'll be her best friend's lover. Anyways right now he seems to be quite the doting brother. Sometimes I get thrown off whether he knows her real identity. I'm thinking not.

[Ep7] A desperate Qin Shu almost admits to Lu Zhi Yao she is actually Xue Qi Luo in order to find her missing brother. The tension between them is stifling. However when he receives a call telling him their DNA's don't match his attitude towards her completely changes. He even tells her Ah Zhi is dead. Hearing him affirm the news, she cries. Does he not see her crying? She is Qi Luo!

[Ep8] I love this grandpa who locks up Qi Luo and Lu Zhi Yao in this bedroom to spend the night. He's a total shipper of these two. However, Zhi Yao thinks she's not the one he loves and doesn't push her because he's only loyal to Qi Luo. Now these two are just bickering competitors. Heee. I like this.
Her best fried, Man Man, learns of Qi Luo's real identity. We also get to learn that after that fire incidence, she was mistaken by Qin Family to be Qin Shu. It took her a year and a half to recover and it was already too late to clarify.
[Ep9] Zhi Yao practically confirms her identity as well.
[Ep10] Zhi Yao takes her to see her brother but her brother thinks she's a fake and pushes her away. His side of the story is revealed now too. He was forced into the marriage; his dad was pulling all the evil strings. She isn't convinced. When the fire incident happened, she witnessed him saving Bai Ming Yu leaving her behind. He tells her the fire was too strong for him to get in to save her. She's having none of it because in the end he chose his family and Bai Ming Yu over her.
[Ep13] Zhi Yao and Qi Luo are on friendlier terms now that he's helped her reconcile with her brother. But it's not enough to make her forgive him no matter how much he loves her still. He tried to hold her hand, but Qi Luo pulls away. Her brother, Qin Wei Ran witnesses that exact moment. Turns out he knew of Qi Luo's identity all along.
[Ep15] Zhi Yao's cousin was/is in love with his fiancé, Bai Ming Yu. This cousin is also out to ruin Zhi Yao's career. Qin Shu is also on his hit list. He somehow sniffs out Qin Shu might not be Qin Shu.
Man Man and blondie (Bai Ming Yu's brother) are the bickering pair. If I had paid attention to the opening song probably would have noticed these two being a pair way earlier.
[Ep16] Zhi Yao helps Qi Luo find her brother who ran away. Not only that, he buys the home that her brother really likes. She can't accept this present but to him this isn't a present. It's their home. This time when Zhi Yao pulls her in for a hug, she doesn't resist him. Although the hatred in her heart melts, external forces start hindering them. The cousin uses her fake identity to threaten her to date him.
[Ep17] Thus, the fight between the two cousins for Qi Luo's love commences. Who will hit the bulls eye?
[Ep18] I'd say it's Zhi Yao (obviously). He unleashes his love when he finally learns she's not truly in love with his cousin.
The brother, Qin Wei Ran, reveals to both QL and ZY he knew of her identity all along. He was going to stay the nice brother if she had not wanted to leave. However he immediately forgives her when she promises to stay for the sake of their mother and keep their faux family together. Now they've got one more person on their team. He helps QL with the cousin but it's only a short term plan. However, with the three of them together and the secret out, Qin Wei Ran's third-wheeler presence feels really awkward. I absolutely cannot support him as a second lead because it's almost incest. What sane man would like a woman who looks exactly like his dead sister?

Remarks

First Impression (Ep1-10): I didn't think I was going to stay interested. I had an impression of it being dramatic and dark and draggy. However, slowly I kept clicking the next episode. I was enticed by why this guy loves this girl so much. I really do have a spot for dramas that start with rekindled romances with some hate in the beginning. There's just something so romantic about the guy only loving this one girl whether it's in the past or present or future. And that's the type of guy Lu Zhi Yao is. Overall the drama does get lighter and Qi Luo isn't always in vengeance mode, which is nice. Half of me is not having any hope for this drama though because I anticipate it to drag and disappoint. It's only a matter of time. However a teeny tiny bit of me is hoping this will become a decent watch.

By Episode 18: I'm watching this at 1.5 speed while checking out other dramas simultaneously. Therefore not a lot happens here. However, I still want to see the romance develop between Qi Luo and Lu Zhi Yao. If time permits, I'll probably still give this a chance next week just to see them being sweet

Dropped: After waiting for weekly episode releases, I've lost curiosity in this series.
