Crocodile And Plover Bird | Review

How much better it would have been had it only had 24 instead of 50 episodes. Really liked the beginning when the setting was in France. Everything was pretty there including all the actors and actresses. Plot was strong. Style was on point. Chemistry was fresh. Everything fell apart for me when they returned to China, too many overused tropes, overly dramatic schemes without a strong chemistry to keep me focused.

Notable Actors/Actresses
Zhang Tian Ai: Li Nan En
Chen Bo Lin: Zhou Er Wen
Huang Yi Lin: Wang Wai (Vivian)
Luo Yu Tong: Chen You
Chinese Title:
鱷魚與牙籤鳥
Year: 2019
Episodes: 50

I like Zhang Tian Ai and try to keep an eye out for her projects but have not been impressed since seeing her in Go Princess Go. This one is another mediocre drama of hers.
Such a disappointing drama for such a great cast. Every character made the drama watchable, I don't know why the drama had to mess it up with plot.
Even this annoying villain, Wang Wei, had good moments (of being evil). It did get super annoying when she kept destroying the leads’ lives but she was so pretty in everything. I looked forward to her style in every episode when drama was still set in France. Then it got all black when her personality took a dark, dark turn.
As for character personality, I like Chen You the best. Straightforward, charming, smart. She likes the male lead, does her best to do everything for him, knew that it won’t work, backs off, and slowly falls in love with a man that loves her more. She always has her hair up but the one time she had it down, wow she got even prettier.
