Their Big Break

Fireworks of My Heart

Trivia

• He was a JYP trainee!! Wei Da Xun!? From 2014-2017. JYP is one of the big 3 Korean idol agencies. And ever since he left JYP, he's been independently managed.
• His massive career turning point came in 2023 with Fireworks of My Heart. His popularity surged as 2ML Meng Yan Chen, an elite, repressed brother. This is huge for Wei Da Xun especially when he's known as the clown or the dumb guy on variety shows.
• 💕 There are sightings and other photographic evidence that his ex-girlfriends were Qin Lan (Dr. Tang) and Yang Mi.
• He's into jiejies just like his celebrity friends Bai Jing Ting and Jing Bo Ran.
• His name smells. Phonetically. Wei = Smell; Da = Big; Xun = Pungent.

[Chinese] You should know his breakout hit is highly related to (German) Orthopaedics. Or just Orthopaedics (骨科).

• [骨科 gǔ kē] It's a Chinese slang that refers to fictional incest romance trope. Its origin stems from a viral story about this brother claiming he had a romantic relationship with his biological sister. When their father discovered the affair, he severely beat the brother, leaving him with severe skeletal injuries. So the brother went to Germany to undergo an orthopaedic surgery. And so that's how (German) Orthopaedics became a euphemism for sibling romance.
• Technically Wei Da Xun's story in the Fireworks of Heart is a Pseudo-orthopaedics (偽骨科 wei gu ke) = involving step-siblings, adopted siblings, childhood friends raised together, etc.
