• As of 2025, managed by Yuekai Entertainment (悅凱娛樂), which also includes Meng Zi Yi, Pan Yue Ming, Song Qian, etc.
• Very much associated with sheep (羊 yang). Not just his name, but he's also a 🐑. And so his fans are called Yang Mao (Sheep's Wool), "covering" him with their support. That comes from his background at the People's Liberation Army Academy of Art, where he trained in dance before acting.
• Not only yang, he's also very erect. His posture is famously upright. graduate of the People’s Liberation Army Academy of Art, where he majored in dance.
• QUITE THE DANCER
• Dating rumours include: Li Qing (often cited as each other's first-celebrity-love, Song Qian (same company too), and Qiao Xin (married now to someone equally/more rich than her). [Meanwhile the one with Dilireba is very fake.]

• Dated Wang Chu Ran around 2023. The paparazzi evidence was extensive – matched flights, hotel sights. And neither came out to deny the rumours. And then they went on Hello Saturday variety appearance to show off their chemistry promote. (They were one of the rare "couples" that weren't avoidant. I say it was cute!)
• Career low was also in 2023. He suffered a lot from Fireworks of My Heart. It was a storm of many factors: 1) poor drama that most audience did not connect with, 2) "openly" dating, 3) and this insane amount of hate accumulated over the years. Hating Yang Yang became a vehicle for broader criticism about: "traffic stars", image-over-substance celebrity culture, and perceived lack of meritocracy in entertainment casting. He became the face of an actor many felt succeeded effortlessly through visuals and star power, whether fair or unfair.
